^^ If i am not wrong they are organizing WIPL at same time as WBBL right? sounds stupid decision from the BCCI/Ganguly if true, considering Women cricket already have limited viewership and both tournament competing with each others.
As far as I know, what they call as the "Women's IPL" is not a full fledged league. This is what I could find from the media: "Women’s T20 Challenge will also take place in the UAE and will comprise three teams with four matches to be played during the IPL Playoff week," the statement read. "A meeting with the franchises will be called shortly." They are planning for 3 teams and a total of 4 matches. This is just an eyewash. What I would like to see is a full-fledged team with a proper league and not this sort of exhibition matches. They can start with 3-4 teams, but these teams can play against each other for a total of 6-8 matches per team. I don't understand how this proposal of exhibition matches can be beneficial for the women cricketers.

These players need match practice when you are sitting idle for months and you can practice but you need to be in a competitive match even as exhibition to get the confidence and that is the reason they are making these matches, earlier they can tour a country and they will put up some warm up matches but now with the corona situation you cannot expect to have warm up matches and hence they need to put exhibition matches.

However if it’s upto $10 I may just try to join in, but once again I’m sorry as I cannot commit anything at this stage, however I’ll definitely be watching your announcements out here.

IPL 2020 is already under heavy scrutiny guys though I don't really care about them retaining Chinese brands to be honest. Viewership figures will probably drop because of this move. If you look at other sports the viewership are breaking records as there is no other contents to watch and you think that the viewership in India will drop because they retain Chinese brands as sponsors . One more month and we will see that these concepts were wrong as people who love cricket will watch the matches irrespective of the political struggle and i wont be surprised if viewership records are higher than last years.

Chinese brands boycott will probably impact these ratings even further.

Are you not seeing the obvious, since you asked me to get my facts right, what is the article you posted says ? People are watching news content and the viewership increased for news channels because there is no sports content, is it that hard to understand the basic structure of this news . I bet people are waiting for cricket to resume and then watch the article once again and then you will understand the obvious logical situation .

India is a cricket crazy nation and there has been no action involving the local teams for the last 4-5 months. On top of that, a lot of people are now sitting at home because of lockdown restrictions. These two factors can propel the IPL viewership to all time high figures. And regarding the contentious issue of sponsorship by the Chinese corporations, I am sure that the BCCI will come up with some eyewash a few days before the tournament starts (such as a large donation to the make in India platform, or towards the armed forces).

I bet it won't, when it comes to entertainment people won't take the political things into it and I don't know why we want to boycott IPL, if we really want then boycott Vivo then they won't sponsor the IPL in the coming years.Remember BCCI is trying to make the IPL possible for revenue reasons that is why they retained the sponsorship as well.

The BCCI may be able to find another sponsor, but the deal between them and the BCCI is for the period of 2018-2022 (worth somewhere around ₹2,200 crore). I don't think that it is possible for the BCCI to unilaterally cancel this deal, unless they reach a compromise with Vivo. Also, other sponsors may not be willing to pay this much for the IPL sponsorship.

The BCCI can easily find a sponsor, IPL is not a small domestic tournament, it is an international tournament that has a fanbase and viewship across the globe. The deal can easily be cancelled! but, Why should BCCI cancel it? when BCCI is bringing in Chinese money to India and not sending Indian money to China. Those who are opposing this deal are basically contradicting the narrative.

The deal can easily be cancelled! but, Why should BCCI cancel it? when BCCI is the only is bringing in Chinese money to India and not sending it to China. You have a point there. But the political parties in India are using this opportunity to take sides. Vivo is a Chinese brand, but the sponsorship is being given by Vivo India, which is based in India. This is a mutually beneficial relationship, as Vivo is paying much more than what the other brands would pay. Now the competitors of Vivo are indulging in cheap tactics, as they are unable to compete directly.

The sponsorship is mainly for advertisement purpose so India is really advertising a Chinese brand all over the world which means China is going to make the invested money from all over the world so which is kind of reason for people opposing it.

Unofficial news is Vivo already pulled out as a sponsor from the IPL. BCCI had no authority to cancel the deal due to signed contract otherwise VIVO could have sue BCCI easily, if rumors are correct then BCCI-VIVO mutually came into conclusion of cancelling the deal.

Did India ban all the goods from China, heard that some of the Chinese application are banned but not heard about any products or imports ban, if there is a blanket ban on all the Chinese products then there is no point for VIVO to advertise if they are not able to sell the products, it is true that BCCI cannot cancel a deal as they can drag them in court.

India, didn't ban any Chinese products, they only banned Apps but I heard that import taxes for some Chinese products are increased after the issue but this is going to affect the people only since we are the consumer so extra price will be on the head of the people in India. And actually India can't ban any Chinese products most of the electronics goods used all around the world was manufactured in China even if it is not a Chinese company so India need to build their own brands before banning others.
