Yeah.. never took you seriously at that time. It is difficult to believe actually. West Indies had the home advantage. But they fared poorly against other test nations at home (even against Ireland). So what happened to England? Their bowling was pathetic, but the batting was even worse. So why did the batsmen completely failed in facing a bunch of ordinary looking bowlers from the West Indies? Actually they need to drop some of the useless batsmen rather than kicking out Anderson and Broad from the squad.

Just like India can't give rest to King Kohli, England can't rest Ben Stokes and few other players which you are referring. If  this situation persists then England will become a team as they were in late 90s. Cricket is greatly in decline in countries like West Indies, South Africa and SL. They were  once considered to be best team but now they are at level of associate teams.

The England management will have to make some difficult decisions right now for the Test format. Otherwise, they will not be able to easily improve their performance in the test format. England has a good enough squad for the T20 ODI format. But in the test format, they are a bit weak now. Maybe they need to find new talented players. Otherwise, some of their important players will have to be sent to rest for their peace of mind. Now if they don't send their important players to rest, we will not see a better performance from them in the upcoming World Cup.

There are many reason for this epic meltdown. Leadership is main one. English team is going back to their 90's phase but this time they also have one bad captain. He's having great time with the bat and very likable guy but i've to say poor joe is shitty captain and not inspiring the team in any possible way. Atm there are lot of chatters regarding new captain and coach.

Domestic setup is also creating more trouble than solution. They are not creating good pitches for county, focus is on only seam friendly track, where 130 kmph bowlers bully everyone, virtually no assistance for the spinners (if any club tries to create spin track they punish them with negative points). Result no quality players for the internationals fixtures, all they can do is play competitive cricket at home but when it comes to overseas they shit their bed.

Last 17 match, only 1 win.

We have just seen England facing Australia in Ashes and results are drastic. England just manage to survive a 5/0 whitewash as one of test match was draw. I think it's also good to see team like West Indies performing good in Test, although I don't think West Indies can repeat such performance against top teams like Australia,   New Zealand or Pakistan but still its a healthy sign that WI have some spark in the team.

we're heading into first test between South Africa and Bangladesh. Bangladesh test captain Mominul who have won the toss and decide to bowl first. Sadly the majority of the SA's star players are not playing in this test series due to their IPL commitment. Bangladeshi ODI skippers Tamim, Shakib, Shoriful, Mustafiz, Mahmudullah all went missing from the squad. Still I'm expecting for good and competitive match from both sides.

For a team of Bangladesh level its enough to win ODI series and that too in SA. We can't say they are not capable of winning test in SA. Surprisingly skipper Joe and interim coach Collingwood thinks that recent windies tour was very positive for the team. I hope they are not saying this because they didn't lose series by 3-0 margin or final tally was 1-0 so there is some improvement lol.

After day 1 of South Africa's first test against Bangladesh, Elgar and Erwee gave the hosts a big boost, and Bavuma's half-century helped the hosts achieve 233/4 in Durban. After taking three wickets in the afternoon session, Bangladesh managed to get only one wicket the rest of the day. Bangladeshi bowlers will have a hard time tomorrow, regardless of whether they bowled them out early or not. We'll see what happens tomorrow.

If Shakib Al Hasan is in the team then i would say that Bangladesh have a chance to compete against South Africa. Before placing the bet i would have waited and see the team they are picking and just now noticed that they are not playing their premium bowlers and the bowlers right now in the team are unknown to me. I still think that South Africa will be able to win the match unless we otherwise from the Bangladesh batsman.

It wasn't due to availability tho, Tamim Iqbal was not fit for the match (that's what i read from the team announcement). Shakib case is completely different. So Bongbandhus going with weaker batting lineup intentionally sounds bogus argument imo and i'm being respectful here.

Proteas has home advantage despite playing with second string team (They are not weak at home against Ban at all) but if i'm being honest then i want Bongs to win or at least draw the match or series.

SA deserve  to lose test series to Bangladesh as there major players including Marco Jansen, Aiden Markram, Lungi Ngidi, Kagiso Rabada and Rassie van der Dussen prefer IPL over this test series. SA have a good home record against Asian teams but they lost ODI series to Bangladesh. Still SA board has no hesitation in releasing players for IPL over test series, if money is preference then you shouldn't he worry about such series results.

If they manage to collect around 450 then South Africa will be able to control the match completely. But if they lose all their wickets before 350, then Bangladesh will have ample opportunity to draw or win the match. If South Africa can play well in today's first session, they will be able to collect more than 400 easily.

If they manage to collect around 450 then South Africa will be able to control the match completely. But if they lose all their wickets before 350, then Bangladesh will have ample opportunity to draw or win the match. If South Africa can play well in today's first session, they will be able to collect more than 400 easily.

South Africa had a good opening stand of 117 runs and at that moment it looks like on stumps South Africa will easily cross 250. But they lost 4 wickets in quick intervals and that's why they concluded day 1 on 233. Still they are not in very bad situation, if they can score 350 or more they will be very much in the game..
