Three ODI matches will be played. A good opportunity for the Irish team. They played well with India in two T20 matches which India won. I know this ODI series will be won by Newzealand but it will be an interesting series considering the previous performance of the Irish side.

Ireland will play two series against New Zealand. One is ODI and another one is T20. Ireland has performed well with India. they can able to defeat New Zealand if they can use the previous power. However, this task will not be very easy. New Zealand specializes in fast bowling. I think it was a little bit problem for India to adapt such type of pitch but New Zealand will be able to play comfortably.

Right now they have 68 points from 18 matches and that is simply not enough. They have 6 matches remaining, and need to win at least 2 of these matches. If they fail to do that, then they may need to play the qualifier tournament for next year's ODI world cup. As of now, Sri Lanka is slightly behind with 62 points from 18 matches. And South Africa have 49 from 13.

I didn't even looked at the tally once and only got to know about that when you mentioned this thingy sometime back. Anyway it's good to see that smaller boards are also getting bilateral series, we need more of that as it's still not enough, specially from PIG-3.

No one has time these days to see lengthy ODI and tests only T20 is widely watched. Teams like Afghanistan, Netherlands and Ireland should get more series specially against strong teams like Australia, Newzealand and Pakistan that will help in lifting there playing standards.

Honestly, cricket does not seem to be worth my time at all right now. It takes too long for an ODI match to finish. To be honest, sometimes I feel like even T20 match is also too long to watch.

I’m sure a lot of people had this feeling before. I don’t think I am the only one in this case. Watching a cricket match for four hours and not doing basically anything is not the best decision for a lot of people. I think that’s why for some times recently football has been a lot more interesting to me instead of cricket

People like me prefer either ICC tournaments, or triangular/quadrangular series involving multiple teams, but these type of tournaments are no longer being organized by the cricket boards. In fact, I forget when for the last time I heard about a triangular series. Previously such tournaments used to be hosted by cities such as Sharjah, Singapore and Toronto. But everything came to a halt because of the packed international calendar.

Perhaps because they have a busy schedule, or maybe the tri-series is less profitable for the board. But as a general spectator, the tri-series is very enjoyable. I remember later, we used to watch the Asia Cup. It was very exciting. But after 2018, Asia Cup was not held.

Now day by day life is going to be tough for these cricketers because too many franchise leagues are operating so just because of this try-series idea is completely failure and no one going to try this in future with just we can expect some try series in T-20 which is also coming in New Zealand. With this all now I am strongly in favor of stopping this ODI and just concentrating on test matches and T-20 because this could be more beneficial and having more entertainment for all viewers around the glob and ICC can bring more money with this all as well.

As we all know in South Asia we have only one event, and it's mostly postponed due to India, Pakistan rivalry, so now it's time for them to change this into T-20 and mostly play in the UAE, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka because these three venues are acceptable for all parties even they have no profit like India and Pakistan, but we can expect regular cups without any problem.

I also agree tri series are much more enjoyable to watch then bilateral series. I hope one of the big board comes out and organize a tri series with big teams. I do not think a tri series is less profitable but with so much cricket being played throughout the year scheduling one might be complicated.

I am also more into triangular and quadrilateral series, sad that these guys completely scrapped such series. Those series were fun to watch and engagement was also great from multiple countries and fans.

Yes as far as I know New Zealand is going to host a tri-series tournament. This tournament is going to be between New Zealand, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. It is going to start on 8 October 2022, and it is going to be a T20 Series.

It has been a long since I have been interested in a tri-series but I am quite interested to see this one. it is going to be interesting to see how two teams from the subcontinent perform in New Zealand. Don't have much hope from Bangladesh, to be honest, but I do have some big hopes from Pakistan.

I say I don't have much hope from Bangladesh because the Bangladesh cricket board does not care about the Bangladesh cricket team and it is quite evident with the recent incident. I am talking about the Bangladesh cricket team going into West Indies via ferry and the players getting sick, lol.

Right now it's all revoling around money rich IPL. BCCI from next year want 2.5 or 3 months for IPL. Sharjah was hub of tri series with Pakistan and India as mandatory participants. There are two worldcups now for ODI and T20I. So under such circumstances there won't be any tri series.

Looking from the other perspective - as an outsider. IPL lost its charm this time. It was too long so many teams in the tournament - too many matches and it was hard to keep track of which team is playing against which team .. I started tracking IPL when it reached quarter final...

Congratulation to Indian Cricket team. Although not a very impressive performance by both the teams - and there was hardly any spectator  in the ground there. There are less recognition and admiration  given to the women team. However with these tournament and matches happening there a great scope of women cricket teams.

In South Asia now there are four women cricket teams even just India is having quality all other three need time for having better quality and experience which is important for competing in International matches so if ICC encouraging them which is good signal from them for Women cricket.

Recently we have news now commonwealth is also allowing women teams for their games as they play against other quality teams this will help them now after WBBL and W100 BCCI announces it's going to start WIPL which is also big plus point which will help local women's for better opportunities even still long way to go, but something happening is better than nothing in this area for this game of cricket.

Sri Lanka is going through political and economic turmoil - winning matches can bring to the nation a joy which are longing. Hope Sri Lanka will strike back soon.
