Sri Lanka Women vs India Women

The India women's tour of Sri Lanka has been a successful one. India lost one T20 match and won all the matches easily. India has good similarities between the men's team and the women's team. Both teams are ahead in cricket. Harmanpreet Kaur scored the highest run for the team in the last match. Pooja Vastrakar and Shafali Verma also gave good support by scoring 56 and 49 runs. As a result, India won by 39 runs and that was the final match between Sri Lanka Women vs India Women in this tour.

The WIPL should have been scheduled long time back. The BCCI delayed it by giving all sort of silly excuses. Their first argument was that not enough women players are available in the country. That is a laughable claim, because there are 38 first class teams in India and all of them have women's teams. Forming 3-4 franchises from the best domestic players will be quite easy. I don't know why the fans are keeping silent about all this BS. I haven't seen much reaction in the social media, regarding the delay on WIPL.

WIPL is something that the BCCI is not interested in because they know very well that they are not going to get the revenue that they want from this. At least not in the first time of arrangement in my opinion.
But they have to realize that eventually, they will be able to get really substantial revenue from that WIPL. We all think the BCCI is stupid for not arranging the WIPL. But I think there could be a logical reason which is they are waiting for the T-10 format to get popularized. I believe that organizing a WIPL tournament with the T-10 format is going to be quite popular even for the first time.

BCCI has announced ODI squad for series (22 NOV) against Windies . Some rotation and experiment is going on every format, be it captaincy, vice captaincy etc. I guess many of em might play their 1st ODI game in this series.  

I don’t mind a team like India trying some things out against a team like West Indies. India is multiple levels above of West Indies in any format of cricket. So, it is not going to be a big problem for India to win against West Indies even if they don’t play with their main squad. It is obvious that they are going to try some things out before the World Cup. And the series against West Indies seems to be a good place to try things out for India right now. Cricket is going to get a boost in popularity because of these tournaments in my opinion. Especially if the WIPL takes place it is going to be a revolutionary step in cricket.

Probably because after Virat no captain has been able to show a good level of captaincy. I believe among them all Rohit is the better choice. Hardik Pandya showed commendable performances in the IPL as a captain, but I doubt he will be able to repeat the same for India. For WIPL, cricket will attract more viewers for sure. The Indian women will also improve their fitness and improve their skills if they see how much better the SENA team women are playing.

Sri Lanka is going through a lot of internal turmoil and that definitely is having a negative impact on the players. But still, the matches are being hosted by Sri Lanka and therefore I expected them to perform better. Just hope that their women's team won't go the same way as the men's team. At this point, they are heavily dependent on Chamari Athapaththu. BTW, Renuka Singh Thakur is emerging as a good find for India in this series. She got a really nice bowling action and troubled the Sri Lankan batters quite frequently.

Since Sri Lankan women were playing at home, I expected them to perform better than they did. I expected them to win at least one match in the series. But we all know that India is far better than Sri Lanka when it comes to women’s cricket. But I have to say Sri Lanka did try really hard to win the last match but they couldn’t in the end. India has won the series 3-0. A flawless win for the Indian women.

If we check this all from business point of view then surely they are right because they have deep pockets and this is not fitting in this all with revenue even India is the biggest market for cricket in world. But they need to take risk because this always pay good dividend as we already watch something good in WBBL and Women 100 they are taking risks, and it's going to be good for them.

Now, it's time for BCCI to change mindset and bring some revolutionary changes for quality of Women cricket in country as well because this can bring some good and strong change with this we can expect some more games for women's which need good intention, but we are completely failed to give them proper intention in last many decades.

That too and also their schedule is jampacked due bilateral cricket as majority of contenders (Rohit, Bumrah, Pant, KL rahul ) play all 3 formats most of the times and it doesn't help that first choice skipper Rohit's fitness is shaky and he always gets injured.

I don't know much about the fitness condition of the women players. But if you are saying so, then it might be true. Still I find it hard to believe that the women players are less fit when compared to someone like Rohit Sharma, who looks like an inflated balloon. If that is the case, then we should blame the BCCI. First of all, they allotted a shit guy as the coach (Ramesh Powar, one of the nepotism products). When he himself is not fit, how he can maintain the fitness level of the players he is coaching?

Hopefully when the WIPL starts in a few months from now, this situation will change. When the local players interact more with the ones from SENA, they will also give more importance to fitness. Essentially, the BCCI will outsource a part of their job to the franchises. At this point, women's cricket in India is not a money churning sector. Earnings are low, and that is one of the reasons why we don't see a lot of effort being put in by the players towards maintaining fitness. WIPL will change all that.

With this I can understand what are you trying to say but in subcontinent we can't bring things like SENA and West Indies because of environment and few other factors are also having serious concerns about women and here @Sithara007 is also right if we have Rohit Sharma then body language is having nothing with any player and just not this we already have too many players like these in subcontinent, but they have done good job and women's also can do in this way even some can better.

But, they need to have some better skills and improve quality which is big issue because if you are going to play against Australia, England and West Indies then surely you need quality which will give you better result otherwise they will throw out of stadium without any big trouble.

It is not about the money. IPL brought huge amounts of profits to the BCCI (TV rights alone amounts to $1.2 billion per year). Sponsors are lining up, and we can expect that the WIPL will also be very profitable for the BCCI. But the concern from the BCCI guys is that WIPL can poach some viewership away from the IPL (some sponsors as well). And that is one of the reasons why they don't want WIPL to happen at the same time as the IPL (unlike the case with WBBL and WCPL). And from what I heard, almost all of the IPL franchises are also opposed to the WIPL (apart from MUmbai Indians, who have supported the proposal for WIPL).

Bangladesh choose the field after winning the toss. Shai Hope was bowled by Mustafizur Rahman on very first ball he faced. Its very hard to predict anything so early but seeing the performance of Bangladesh in test and T20I its very evident that Bangladesh will lose that too.

I was having the same thoughts but when Ireland started to pile up runs in the final few overs i knew it is going to be a good match but then what surprised me is that Ireland was able to pick wickets at the top order and New Zealand was struggling as they already lost their 7th wicket chasing a huge target of 301 runs and with 3 wickets left, i would be surprised if New Zealand can win the match from this situation  .
