How many Monero do I need to have in order to be called an XMR whale?
>1% of the existing coin supply IMHO. So like how many coins is that and how much do you think it would cost? Are we talking 4 figures, 5 figures, 6 maybe What's your take on this There are currently around 7.4 million Monero in circulation. So we're talking an investment of roughly $37,000.

For example just now they made a new poll that I saw Smooth post on then delete it once I did You're lying. I never posted on that thread. In fact I wasn't even online and hadn't seen it. "post on then delete" = lame made up shit from BlockaFett, as usual.

I want to read criticism of my positions and beliefs. Its important to be open to criticism. And I know how frustrating it can be to go into a thread and speak critically but from the heart and be accused of being a troll simply because you are being critical. But i have put up with reading this guys nonsense for long enough and I'm just sick of reading it. Obvious troll is obvious. Its hard to make it on my ignore list but blockafett has now managed it.

My suggestion at this point would be to ignore him, put it behind you and focus energy on more productive outlets. I doubt he has one worthwhile post in his entire account history. Not worth your time or energy. Trolls gonna troll. Best way to fight them is to not feed them. Let them starve and shrivel into insignificance. Identifying out when someone blatantly lies about me is not making me look bad. If you think it does, you need to get your eyes checked. It is BlockaFett who looks like he has a serious problem with making shit up, which he does.

No where does he say that you made yourself look bad by identifying blockafett's deception. If what you say is true, and i have no reason to doubt it, than this is the final verdict. Blockafett is demonstrably a troll. Just disengage.

I have to say your hostility is a disappointing response. Sorry I misunderstood. In any case, I don't need to ignore BlockaFett. I find him so ridiculous and pathetic it adds a bit of comic relief. I will make sure it doesn't clutter up the Monero Speculation thread with off-topic any more than it already has though.

Not really, probability of going severely sub .002 (like 0.0015ish) is not that great. A lot of buying happens when going lower than 2. So basicly it can go to 0.0015 briefly max (which is like 30% gain from current 0.0021) if you time it right. I think EV is not positive for a short here. If you can manage to short a little higher, like 23-24ish you'd have good odds.

Blows my mind the $$ that gets thrown around here. you just have to make a couple of good calls. for me personally i made 4 good calls. i made a good call on when to buy btc, when to sell btc, when to buy nxt when to sell nxt. i don't have quite the money that vokain does but if it goes that low ill probably still drop 20btc or so myself. if xmr moonshots for you like btc did for me than you will have this same question asked of you someday

I don't know anything about volkain's situation but speaking generally if you've been around since 2012 or earlier and have avoided being scammed too much, or screwing up badly on risk management, you've probably done pretty well in crypto. That of course is independent of however else you might make your money. Obviously many people are here as investors who ware well off already, or professionals with good incomes (or both).

the world is not the same everywhere. money is different, wages are (very) different around the world. also some take a higher risk and invest more than just a few % in crypto. 42 btc, yeah thats a lot, i could live 1 year in cambodia or laos with this and have a nice time. but no, been there done that, i am hungry for xmr and many people are too as it seems. im not a btc whale, but an xmr whale. i can only do it because i have the privilege to earn a high salary compared to the rest of the world. regarding price: i have no idea the combination of a possible btc upswing and the current xmr downtrend could become an ugly story, but i'm not really worried. going back to sub 100k levels is not possible anymore with current or lower btc prices i think, the amount of fiat people(and also current xmr holders i guess) hold is just too high for that. i hope the whole 'communities at fight' situation cools down now and we all just live and let die

The probabilities might be low but if there is more large dumping, the book isn't that deep that it couldn't get there. I think the biggest wildcard for altcoins in general are side/daughter chains, although the likelihood of seeing a fork to implement them into BTC tomorrow seems highly unlikely given how hesitant the core team is on hard forks.

I think this is a good price range to get involved again. Sure it can go lower, but I don't think it will. Beside price of BTC is so low that you might not get a chance to get in below 1 USD per XMR. And then there is inflation which works for you. And development is in progress for more than one year - the most important factor.
