In passing I quickly glanced over an article about an underwater tennis court being built for professional use... No idea if that was true or what but it looked pretty awesome. I'll admit that the idea of watching a tennis match has never excited me, but I would jump at the chance to see a sporting event underwater. Although when you think about it, it really is a recipe for quite a spectacular disaster.
And this got me thinking about how are they going to work that with players wearing oxygen tanks and breathing masks and what would the ball be made from so that it doesnt sink or float to the top...... But of course "under water" means actually under the water not in the water. Interesting though, a very unique experience. https://www.arabianbusiness.com/industries/construction/423745-where-are-they-now-dubais-underwater-tennis-stadium

Not all coins are or would be available to buy
Not all miners are located in one jurisdiction so no single central bank would be able to buy all miners, so it would end up theoretically with a number of central banks owning all the miners.
Then when the dust settles and the mining people and firms have been paid their FIAT for their mining farms there is nothing to stop them from building newer farms with newer equipment to compete with the central banks!
That is why it would be nonsense for it to happen.
Thats the beauty of decentralisation.

on a very limited temporary short term basis it would be a "storm in a teacup" there would be so much talk and speculation about it, it would seem almost to be the only thing which would be happening.
On the network - it would just get confirmed just like any other Bitcoin transcation.
But yea, who is going to sell and buy 1,000,000 Bitcoin now or in the future, I could see it happening about 10 years ago though.

Perhaps Alcaraz has more talent, I woudn't question that but Medvedev is much smarter. I've read somewhere he was really good at maths in school and was even planning to become a mathematician but chose a tennis career eventually. It's a pleasure to watch how he chooses the most logical and efficient shot most of the time.
WTA has progressed a lot lately. They are female players with a 200km/h+ serve for example. I remember Djokovic was serving 150-160km/h at around 2015-2016 and it was ok. Jelena Ostapenko has a higher average winner speed than Andy Murray, Maria Sakkari has better physique than many male players etc etc
Alcaraz certainly has a lot of talent. But he will have to be more consistent with his performance. I actually think Medvedev being smarter can cause him a lot of problems. But after all, it does come down to who can play better on a given day. If I have to predict a match between them I will say 50-50 right now. WTA has certainly improved a lot also. The female players are certainly getting better day by day. I think maybe the female players are trying to give the spectators something similar to the male players. That is certainly going to be very hard but it is good that they are actually trying to give the customer a good product. Alcaraz definitely has to improve his consistency, I suppose the same could be said for a lot of top players really. He is still young though and is still learning, no doubt his consistency will improve. Medvedev being more smarter is subjective, he is older and has more experience, he is a different type of player with different skills. On the WTA side what I have learned this year so far is that Swiatek is beatable and the points gap is closing between here and Sabalenka and the next 3 spots are very close so I suppose the WTA is becoming more interesting for me. there are more defined top 5 and top 10 players who can hopefully stay in the top 10 for a while.

Happy Bitcoin Pizza day to the community here!
Its definitely a day to celebrate and commemorate if possible the day Bitcoin was successfully traded for something else and it just happened to be Pizza.
We shouldnt get hung up about todays FIAT value of 10,000BTC. Bitcoin yesterday, today and tomorrow is being sold or traded for something.

BOOM - Done and dusted in 2 sets - 5-7, 5-7 to Medvedev!
First set was pretty much on serve until medvedev was able to break Rune and win that.
Second set with Medvedev to serve first then Rune broke Medvedev but he was able to break back but not straight away.
I thought Rune had a very soft final game, he gave away what seemed like desperation shots which he didnt pull off.
Anyway I very happy for Daniil, big mile stone reached, lets see how RG goes....

an unexpected final overall indeed. Medvedev did well, getting the job done in 2 sets but they were 2 close sets. TBH I wasnt surprised with the out come, I have stopped betting on Tsitsipas, he has become very unpredictable.
Rune beating Ruud was also on the cards, now for the final today he will be hard to beat, he is marginal favourite 1.80 to Medvedev's 1.99. It will be amazing if Medvedev wins this, to turnaround his performance on clay from last year and be able to make his mark this year.

66-18 for the Wests Tigers is just ridiculous, where have the Cowboys gone this season? They did so well last year, almost made it to the Grand Final! How can a team turn around so dramatically?
Todays games results in the two favourites winning, Storm and Sea Eagles. We are starting to see the top half of the ladder being populated by last years top teams, Panthers, Rabbitohs, Sharks and the 2 above.

@Ultegra134 - I totally get you, 100%
There are plenty of people who are very happy to be working the 5 day week and who are able to have a good lifestyle by their own standards.
There are also plenty of people who are unsatisfied with working full time 5 days per week but cannot see how to break out of the system, so they remain very unhappy, which is not good for your soul and mentality.
I believe it is quite possible to break free, it will/could mean simplifying the lifestyle and I'm ok with that. We are surrounded with stuff we actually dont need, we feel to do things and lead a life we could do without or not miss.

Union - European Champions Cup Rugby - FINAL Leinster denied again by La Rochelle ! and also beaten in the semi final of the URC last weekend, thats painful. Leinster finish the season without any Silverware, same as last season too. They made an error last weekend not playing big key players and relying on second choice players to try and make a place in the URC final which failed so the pressure was on today to win the tournament they prioritised. This is also a bit worrying because the bulk of the Irish international team is made up from the Leinster team and now in a world cup this loss can be correlated into the world cup games later in the year.

All the suggestions above are good but the best is to start now! You will have a bigger gain by buying Bitcoin in the first half of 2023 than buying in 2024.
On taking a loan to buy Bitcoin, I dont have a problem with that, I personally have dont it twice so far and it has worked out.
IMO timing is important and in the first half of this year is optimal (based on the last halving) I expect the market to start rising sometime in the second half of 2023.

Daniil Medvedev - Stefanos Tsitsipas
without a doubt that this will be a great game between two big names in the world of tennis and will be a very disputed game, Medvedev who currently occupies position number 3 in the ranking has never reached the final of clay competition, he will strive to be victorious in this game, but his opponent Stefanos Tsitsipas who currently occupies the number 5 position in the ATP ranking comes into this game as the favorite to win and it is not for less the surface of Clay is the strong point of Tsitsipas, so I also think that Tsitsipas will leave this game with victory, although I will not bet on this game, I still see Tsitsipas winning
There is a lot of history between these two players, the head-to-head over 11 matches is Medvedev 7-4 Tsitsipas. Its going to be close and Medvedev this season has shown massive improvements on Clay. I'm going with a Medvedev win! Holger Rune - Casper Ruud
Rune, who currently occupies the number 7 position in the ATP ranking, comes to this game very motivated, he is in his best form and he was a surprise when he managed to reach another semifinal of a tournament, and this season he won the ATP Munich for the second consecutive time, he also managed to reach the final of the ATP Masters 1000 tournament in Monte Carlo and has just defeated Novak Djokovic who is the number one player in the world, it is undeniable how rune is going through a good moment, although his opponent Ruud is a very strong opponent who currently occupies the number 4 position in the ATP ranking I see Rune coming out with victory in this game
This is a tough one to call, Rune is growing stronger almost with every tournament, if he can win today he sets out a massive warning to everyone for RG. Ruud favours the Clay courts but has been under the radar this season really and comes into the match as underdog, he is definitely capable of creating an upset though.

This can mostly apply to almost any other investment that you think will appreciate — it's not really exclusive to bitcoin alone. But I get your point.
There is one point the OP mentioned which is almost exclusive to Bitcoin and really counts on its decentralised nature and that is the transfer of it from one person to another without the receiver having to incur taxes. 5. When you WILLS or share your bitcoin to your children nobody will hear it
In my country inheritance over €16,000 can be taxed at 33%, the transfer or inheritance of Bitcoin sidesteps this tax.

TBH I'm not surprised by Nadal's announcement. On not playing RG - that was really on the cards because he hasnt been able to prepare by playing Madrid or Rome.
On retirement - it was inevitable, just goes to show again when approaching the end of a career injuries feature a lot.
He also hinted at not playing a full season in 2024, he wants to play the tournaments which were special for him.

Great minds think alike. I've also put a small wager on the Panthers for tonight's game. If the Broncos are going to falter it's right about now.
My mind is not as great as yours Timelord, I had the Broncos backed!
I saw the first half of tonight's game on TV - very tough and thrilling, nevertheless the Panthers led at half time and Nathan Cleary kicked a one point field goal at full time to win 15 - 4 😁
Reading the match report the Broncos were close to scoring a few times but through foul plays and knock on's it was not to be.
For tomorrows games I'm going with the Favourites, Roosters to beat the Dragons and Rabbitohs to beat the Eels, 1.44 and 1.35 odds respectively

I don't like to sound desperate, do I sound desperate or determine to make money?
Bitcoin HODLing for years can not be a lost affair.
TBH you sound desperate! Bitcoin is not a "get rich quick" scheme. Your thinking is very similar to those who get into $hitcoins. You need patience and a medium to long term outlook. Also a little more education will trach you that on a weekly, monthly or multi-monthly Bitcoin doesnt keep going up! There is a market there with traders, investors and speculators who all affect that market up and down.

The first round 12 game in NRL Australia is on today. The second placed Broncos face the third placed Panthers in a few hours.
Really hard to bet on this one. The Broncos who in the last few seasons would be seen in the bottom half of the ladder at this stage are massive underdogs at 3.3 while the Panthers who have had a mixed bag of results so far are 1.37. I think I will try a $1 bet on the outsiders with the hopes they can make the day really difficult for the Panthers and beat them.

Rune is definitely the real deal, I would like to see him play Djokovic in a GS and over five sets, Maybe we will see it at RG this year?
So first semi final qualifiers is Rune v Ruud, thats a very interesting match up which could go either way also.
The second semi final on paper should be Medvedev v Tsitsipas but both Hanfmann and Coric are having a great tournament so far.

I really hope it's so. It was very fun to watch the Hungarian torture Carlitos with those dropshots... Medvedev v Zverev was a classy match. Medvedev pissed off the Italian crowd once again but somehow managed to defeat Zverev in straight sets. It looks like the German experiences some psychological issues, like a barrier which cannot be overcome at the moment. Anyway, in WTA we're bound to see a very exciting quarterfinal Swiatek v Rybakina. Taking into account this is the 3rd or 4th time these ladies are meeting this year and Rybakina won all previous encounters we are about to witness a real thriller. Badosa - Ostapenko is also going to be big. No bets this time as these ladies (Badosa and Ostapenko) can be extremely unpredictable. Marozsan beating Alcaraz was refreshing, but I feared that he indeed would not be able to keep up that level in the next game. There are those days when even weaker tennis players hit every single ball such that the stars have to shake their heads because they can't defend against someone way down the ATP ranking. It happens sometimes, but now the streak came to an end for Marozsan. It is still good to see some surprises from time to time as it keeps the tension and the excitement for the sport higher. That is what I think as well about Zverev. It is as if he can't find his former self at all. He acts as if he is a different person. Losing against Medvedev is not embarrassing or anything, but starting into the match like that is a sign of inferior preparation or a lack of readiness. He is still young but for now his career is taking a negative turn. Well as I suspected playing Coric posed a different set of challenges that Marozsan wasnt able to overcome. It was a good run though to get to the round of 16! Zverev IMO is suffering from a lack of confidence, ever since he got injured last year.
link=topic=1200104.msg62251798#msg62251798 date=1684234208] Coric is the next test for him and then we can discuss again. Well Marozsan has taken the first set and the second set is still on serve.... It looks like his high profile win yesterday hasnt phased him. Have a bet on the Djokovic vs Rune match so just hope it doesn't end in the same fashion for Novak. Like to see how far he can go all the way up to Roland Garros. This match is going to 3 sets, it really could go either way, I recon the winner of this will take the overall title or possibly Ruud depending on either Djokovic or Rune winning

I'm sure there is a graph somewhere, and I think I've seen it before of the breakdown of addresses with their Bitcoin amount, i.e 1000BTC, 500BTC, 100BTC, 50BTC and including less than 1BTC number if addresses, no matter which way we look at it the numbers just highlight the scarcity of Bitcoin.
