1921  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: November 05, 2023, 11:22:17 PM
Given how AI and markets both work in similar ways, I’m curious how accurate AI models will be when it comes to Bitcoin. It would make sense to me if AI were able to predict things better than people when it comes to Bitcoin, considering Bitcoin is in my opinion less manipulatable than traditional investments.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 05, 2023, 11:19:39 PM
Rough news about CJ McCollum’s collapsed lung. I hope he’s able to make a full recovery. That seems like a somewhat unusual injury for a basketball player.

Nice to see the Suns win one. I was growing concerned about them.

The Warriors and the Cavs are facing off now. I still don’t understand why the Cavs were the favorites in that game, but I’m expecting the Warriors to bring home the W.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market warms up, what altcoins can help me rich? on: November 05, 2023, 11:17:21 PM
I read some Twitter users with big followers that cryptocurrency market is going to be bullish.

Bitcoin halving will come in 2024.

Bitcoin will have a big bull run in 2024.

What altcoins can help me rich in 2024 and 2025?

Any idea?

I think the better question is what problem can you solve or value can you provide that is so valuable that people are willing to support it? That’s how people get rich. Not by throwing a few dollars at a shitcoin and then finding a bigger fool to sell it to for a ton of money. That’s the problem. People want to get rich easily, but don’t understand the way to do that is to solve a difficult problem.
1924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Almost all mining app on phone are valueless on: November 05, 2023, 09:08:05 PM
It’s pretty obvious that these types of apps are targeted towards kids or gullible people who think they can easily get rich letting their phone run some software. If it were that easy, everyone would do it. They don’t because it’s an obvious scam. I wouldn’t recommend even allowing this software to touch your personal cellular device.
1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on TRON's impact on the payment landscape? on: November 05, 2023, 09:05:58 PM
Imagine discovering Bitcoin and having an opportunity to be early on such a life changing technology, but then deciding instead to invest in some rich kid’s scam attempt to make himself a billion dollars with the hope that you’ll be able to sell to some other fool later for more money… TRON is garbage. Don’t let it steal your chance to own a piece of Bitcoin.
1926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People are too focused on history repeating itself on: November 05, 2023, 09:03:23 PM
The thing about Bitcoin is that it’s literally programmed to be cyclical. The halving nearly mandates that the future will rhyme with the past. This will be true until it isn’t, and when it is no longer true the losses of investment for mining companies will be so great that they are almost forced to prop up the value of Bitcoin to stay alive.
1927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the selling pressure in the ATH level can be a problem to reach $100k? on: November 05, 2023, 07:11:46 PM
The all time high was during a bubble type move upward so I don’t think it is as meaningful as some think. Not to mention most traders are probably already taking profits on this small move upward, so they’ll have been long out of the market before we near the all time high. $100K might be difficult to break on a psychological level, but we’ll have to wait and see.
1928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 05, 2023, 07:48:29 AM
Today I like the 5-1 Golden State Warriors over the 2-4 Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavs are currently the favorites for some reason (maybe I’m missing something) but that to me seems like an opportunity to get good odds on the Warriors beating a much less talented team. Especially the way Stephen Curry is playing at the moment.
1929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No advertisement for btc on: November 05, 2023, 06:03:01 AM
I was just reading this post and thought crossed in my mind that there has been no advertisement for Bitcoin. It's all growth has been natural, it's quite surprising if you think about it.

That’s not totally true. In the early days people like Roger Ver put a lot of effort into advertising Bitcoin. Over the years I’ve seen billboards, commercials, mainstream tv appearances, etc. The biggest advertisement is likely word of mouth and historical performance though. Still, most people’s view of crypto even today is that it is a scam.
1930  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT THE UPCOMING BITCOIN HALVING 2024 on: November 05, 2023, 05:50:37 AM
The big difference in this cycle as opposed to the last is that the largest exchange isn’t using people’s funds that were earmarked for Bitcoin to pump up shitcoins. I believe if it wasn’t for SBF and FTX, we would have seen a six figure BTC in 2021. That is a lot of pent up bullishness that could be unleashed over the next 24 months…
1931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Charges Crypto Company SafeMoon and its Executive Team for Fraud on: November 05, 2023, 05:47:44 AM
It’s a bit surprising that they waited so long to do this. The amount of money they raised and then spent on themselves is a bit shocking, but it’s not a new development. It’s like they let them run with their scheme as long as they could, doing maximum damage to investors before deciding to strike right before the statute of limitations was reached.
1932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 05, 2023, 05:32:21 AM
.... It's all entertainment, ....

Absolutely bro. Its why I love this here famous thread. And I got no one on ignore. Scroll wheel etc.

Amen to that! Sorry for the religious word there... LOL!

Let the trolls post. Feed them as you wish. No rules. Empty Ignore list. Well-lubricated scroll-wheel. WO at its finest!

Let the trolls post. LOL. Is that like the old saying ‘let them eat cake?’

Everybody enjoys seeing this thread grow but the trolls should at least include some speculative comment about the price of BTC to keep this thread from falling into total chaos.

For example, we’ve been going up quite a ways without any major resistance but it does appear as we creep nearer to $40K we’re going to start meeting with some long term resistance levels. Might not be enough to stop the rally, but I think it could slow it a bit.
1933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: November 05, 2023, 05:28:41 AM
Gambling in front of your kids could go either way. For example, I remember my Dad gambling when I was young and my Mom would always make it a point to make fun of him when he lost. I remember thinking that all gamblers lost money chasing wins like delusional dreamers. It never made me want to gamble. It made me think that gambling is a quick way to lose your money… I can see how it could have gone the other way though if I saw him have some success in a casino.
1934  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump make world peaceful place on: November 05, 2023, 02:26:45 AM
People can say what they want about Mr mean tweets, but there’s no denying that the world has fallen into complete shambles since he left office. Between interest rates, inflation, and wars breaking out everywhere, you’d have to be a damned fool to think we’re better off now than we were with him in the Oval Office.
1935  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 05, 2023, 02:24:33 AM
The price is up over $35K and seems to show no signs of slowing down. It will be interesting to see if once the ETF  is approved if we’ll see a selloff or a moon shot. The perfect storm seems to be aligning between the timing of this rally, the coming ETF approvals, and the halving. 2024 could be one of the bigger years we’ve seen for BTC.
1936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 05, 2023, 02:22:10 AM
The Lakers losing to the Magic is pretty embarrassing. They just aren’t a very good team this year. I feel bad for LeBron because he doesn’t have all that many games left but the players he’s being surrounded with are never going to win a title. The Suns are having an equally embarrassing year thus far. All the talk about them being the best shooting team ever, but they’re struggling against teams they should easily beat.
1937  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden is a senile, old Bitch on: November 04, 2023, 05:03:16 PM
When you look at where the economy was 3 years ago, it’s hard to imagine things have gotten so bad so fast. Interest rates almost 4x higher along with gas prices. Inflation at generational highs. Proxy wars raging on with some of our biggest enemies. The situation is worse than anything people could have thought. I worry what one more year of Biden will do to this world.
1938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if the second Satoshi appears? on: November 04, 2023, 05:00:32 PM
There are already people who have created blockchains that are “faster” and “better” than Bitcoin. They have blockchains that are everything different than Bitcoin that you could imagine. However, the problem is always decentralization and fair distribution. This is where Bitcoin will always be King and why it isn’t easily replicable.
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 04, 2023, 04:58:29 PM
Looks like the Boston Celtics are the last undefeated team left standing already in the NBA. They play against the Nets today in what should be an easy victory for them, but the odds don’t make it much of an appealing bet. For those who like to juice their bets with a little multi bet action, including the Celtics as winners might be an easy little bump in odds.
1940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can loneliness make one addicted to gambling on: November 04, 2023, 04:55:57 PM
I can’t say I’ve ever felt lonely and thought to myself that the cure was gambling. Typically when someone is lonely they seek companionship, not entertainment. For me, I think a better explanation than loneliness would be boredom, as the cure for boredom is often entertainment, which is what gambling is. Although I guess in person gambling does have a social aspect.
