Bitcoin's horoscope for Tuesday March 12, 2013

There is an old saying, often employed by bargain hunters, 'If you buy cheap, you buy twice.' In other words, if you are too quick to settle for something that looks as if it will provide good value for money, without first subjecting it to some critical scrutiny, you may end up realising later, where the fatal flaw was hidden. The same principle applies when problem solving. The most immediately attractive solution isn't always the most reliable or desirable. Regardless of the pressure that you feel you are under, do a little more research today.

Bitcoin's Horoscope for week of March 14, 2013

http://www.freewillastrology.com/horoscopes/tarot_cards/tarot13.jpg   The theory of the "butterfly effect" proposes that a butterfly flapping its wings in China may ultimately impact the weather in New York. Here's how the writer Richard Bernstein explains it: "Very slight, nearly infinitesimal variations and the enormous multiplicity of interacting variables produce big differences in the end." That's why, he says, "the world is just too complicated to be predictable." I find this a tremendously liberating idea. It suggests that every little thing you do sends out ripples of influence that help shape the kind of world you live in. The coming week will be an excellent time to experiment with how this works in your daily life. Put loving care and intelligent attention into every little thing.

Just Litecoin for me, but it would be ideal to be able to run btc & ltc alarms simultaniously & with different alarm sounds, also you may like to sign up for this new exchange opening April 2nd https://crypto-trade.com/ & perhaps take a look at BFX exchange too: https://www.bitfinex.com

edit: yep btc-e is the main exchange for ltc by far atm

Cool, if you post here in the alt currency section or on a Litecoin thread or here: http://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/board,1.0.html there are plenty of knowledgeable ppl - I'm un-techy myself.

So, I am back next days, as it seem to have a good Idea for many here to use this tool again?  Wink

Therefore I am searching for Bugs, Ideas, Improvements for the tool.
If you are missing something or have a good Idea which should be added, this is the right time now, to share your suggestions with me, as I have now a bit time to place those things into the page.

Thanks.

Cool, thanks again for this tool, I'm just back from a walk & heard some cows mooing in a field & my brain said ah there goes $48 again - I really do need to get out more, at least it's spring time here now.

How about a version of this tool for Litecoin based on either/both ltc/btc price &/or ltc/$ https://btc-e.com/exchange
there would be plenty of demand now & growing with > 2,100 people on the main exchange

Bitcoin's horoscope for the week ahead, Sunday, 10 March 2013

Nothing you can do will make a current source of irritation go away. It is, for the time being at least, a part of your world and you may as well get used to it. But though you may not be able to lose it, you can lose the part of your own personality that has a bad reaction to this trigger. Will you be somehow selling yourself short if you suppress this side of your psyche? No, you'll be demonstrating crucial flexibility and proving that you won't let something silly spoil your enjoyment of an otherwise inviting and inspiring horizon.

I suspect that the current source of irritation may be SatoshiDice - but just guessing.

Having gone through the claims process for my shares & upgrading them all to Tera, I too would be interested in bidding on any shares still outstanding from those that are on nefario's final list of shareholders & can't or don't wish to claim them for themselves - this seems to be the fairest way to resolve the mess that GLBSE's abrupt failure left, unless there are many more shares listed than actually exist (ie fake claims from nefario) which I doubt because he seems more hopeless than criminal & it hasn't happened with other issuers as far as I'm aware.

It will be interesting to see the figures when Giga releases them on the % of shares claimed/unclaimed & whether any have been attempted to be claimed by more than one person or anything else odd about those remaining, anyone with shares valued at under $100 (perhaps $1,000 even) should just be offered an easy cash out from Giga's own pocket at a generous valuation imo as it's unrealistic for them to go through the claims procedure if they're outside the US & no tax or legal authority is going to care about such small sums when care has been taken over the majority - this would count as just some petty cash disbursements to save an otherwise blocked outcome for these people.
1987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Impressive bitcoin one liners for non bitcoiners on: March 09, 2013, 06:52:49 PM
My one liner...

The line being the price chart one that goes from Christmas & New Years 2011 when I reminded my good friends that I celebrated it with that the coins I'd bought the month before at under $3 were already showing a healthy profit & that they should get in to some, same friends that I recommended gold to in March 2007 when it was $666 per Oz & they said Oh No,no,no - by then it had made about 300% in under 4 years - anyway they've had updates when bitcoin doubled to $6, then redoubled to $12, yet again to $24 & recently to $48 plus & they still haven't been persuaded that it is even worth a look at, other friends I've also tried to interest have been equally unreceptive, one of the more investment minded & entrepreneurial I printed out this chart when visiting for lunch recently highlighting 2012 summer's $6 price when I emailed him re looking in to this & the price when we met up last month, $24 = a fourfold increase, he did start to pay some attention & said he'd get back to me - expect that he may be a little shocked that $24 is ancient history now already.

1989  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! on: March 07, 2013, 12:05:47 AM
Many thanks, that's reassuring & yes my few bets were way too small a number to be making judgements, I shall wait for a more personal (hopefully) auspicious time to try it out again.

1990  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! on: March 06, 2013, 11:25:17 PM
re: gambler's fallacy, I do realize that my bets could have all gone against me especially as I made only a few, I just wasn't 100% reassured that the house couldn't pick winning blocks unless it was me who bought the final tickets in a game, again no offense intended - I just don't understand it enough to be sure & will wait for the smart ppl here like Dooglas to audit it.
1991  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! on: March 06, 2013, 11:13:57 PM
I apologize, as it's a new site I can't be sure & I'm sorry to say that, say though I left a bet & the house finished it maybe they could choose to wait for a winning hash block to post this as it isn't time stamped on the site when the bets get filled, again I'm no expert & am not accusing anything, I lost for now & that could be totally random luck - it's a new site so I'll wait for more informed feedback before I start playing for higher stakes, again no offense intended - I like the concept a lot!
1992  Economy / Gambling / Re: Peerbet.org - Play without house edge! on: March 06, 2013, 10:27:52 PM
Well in the last week of tying out this site I lost the 15 btc that I put in, I wasn't expecting it to be drained so fast but maybe that was because of the type of bets that I made, with no house rake I'd expected to be around, up & down, for longer - anyway as it's obviously not so lucky for me atm I shall leave it alone, if it's still around in a few months & getting good feedback then I may try some more - I like the concept a lot & all my bets were of the 'provably fair' type, but as yet I'm not totally confident re that, no offense intended.

Great idea, 0.1 BTC & 0.05 BTC is still approx $5 & $2.50
a $1 & $0.5 = 0.02 BTC & 0.01 BTC would be good for hand outs, kids, etc & allows for some more price inflation

btw, ltc price in btc since the start of this thread, maybe the 0.002 something btc per ltc was like the $2 something per btc low from Nov 2011 Wink

Litecoin's Horoscope for week of March 7, 2013

"I worked as a hair stylist in Chicago's Gold Coast for 20 years with some of the most gorgeous woman and men in the world," writes sculptor Rich Thomson. "Once I asked a photographer who shot for the big magazines how he picked out the very best models from among all these great-looking people. His response: 'Flaws. Our flaws are what make us interesting, special, and exotic. They define us.'" My challenge to you, Litecoin, is to meditate on how your supposed imperfections and oddities are essential to your unique beauty. It's a perfect moment to celebrate -- and make good use of -- your idiosyncrasies.

In his book Cosmos and Psyche, Richard Tarnas says the planets don't emit invisible forces that shape our destinies as if we were puppets. Rather, they are symbols of the unfolding evolutionary pattern. Just as clocks tell time but don't create it, the heavenly bodies show us the big picture but don't cause it.

Quoting Greek philosopher Plotinus, Tarnas writes, "The stars are like letters that inscribe themselves at every moment in the sky. Everything in the world is full of signs. All events are coordinated. All things depend on each other. Everything breathes together."

So it's not just the distant globes whose movements and relationships serve as divinatory clues. If you're sufficiently attuned to the gestalt of creation and pay close enough attention to its unfolding details, you can read the current mood of the universe in the arrangement of red onions in the grocery store bin or the fluttering of sunlight and shadow on the mimosa tree or the scatter of soap suds in your sink after you've finished washing the dishes.

Can you do it? Discern the signature of creation at this or any other perfect moment? Peer into the secret heart of the collective unconscious? Guess what the Goddess is thinking? Hint: You will have to switch on a dormant capacity, transforming your imagination from a mere fantasy-generator into an organ of perception.

Bitcoin's horoscope for Monday March 04, 2013

When people say 'no', we know where we stand with them. But what if they say 'yes'? Then we have to wait to assess their behaviour. Some folk are only too happy to offer their agreement but then prove reluctant to back this up with action. Others (for reasons best understood by professional psychotherapists) claim to be on our side but then secretly act as if their only mission is to thwart us at every turn. You just need to know that you have got genuine support from someone who truly can make a difference.

Bitcoin's horoscope for Monday March 04, 2013

Saturn is now easily visible in the early hours and with a telescope, you can see its rings. They are currently at just the right angle for viewing - and this is not always the case. Saturn, of course, is the planet that rules your zodiac sign. Interestingly, you are currently making it easier for others to see parts of yourself that you often keep hidden. That, in turn, is making it easier for them to extend greater understanding and sympathy towards you. All of which bodes well for constructive co-operation this week.

I added you molecular & will trust you with 0.2 btc if someone would be so kind as to give me 2 xrp that I'm short in order to make a trust (300 needed), I'd already cashed out the rest for btc via Bitstamp which worked well & lost a couple of xrp in fees trying out txs, thanks.
