2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] HYPER ~ Game Currency ~ ON CNBC ~ Twitch.tv ~ ShapeShift.io ~RPG + More! on: December 16, 2015, 08:18:41 AM

David Seaman has officially given up on Hyper and will no longer speaking on its behalf.

Fortunately he has had ample time to safely dump on the community having bought in at 600 satoshis.

We wish him luck on his future endeavors.

Is it confirmed that he's the dumper, though? Like verified? If so, it's possible it might slowly rise once he's done.
2002  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: DoubleBot.com - The only one place to double your BTC with a 100% guarantee. on: December 16, 2015, 07:25:20 AM
Hey SNavy, good to see you here again!

I think he meant, for example, instead of being 4 months for 100%, make it 1 month for 25%.

I vote against this. Doubling is just fine.

It hurts the exit plan, though. Huge difference in tying up funds for 4 months and 1 month.
2003  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: DoubleBot.com - The only one place to double your BTC with a 100% guarantee. on: December 16, 2015, 06:22:56 AM
I see this Site is working so long and still the users getting their payments ?
But the bad point is users are waiting 4+ Months to double the btc ?
In this long period of time who knows what happens ?
So better the admin should make the time frame to 1+ month only not more than that .. than someone (including me ) can think of joining here.
Otherwise your site/hyip/ponzi cannot attract more users

one month to double btc impossible

Quote
DoubleBot.com - The only one place to double your BTC with a 100% guarantee.

Guaranteed much  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

That's it! DoubleBot is doubling your money as fast as possible.
It is impossible to double money with guarantees too fast. Except of ponzi, of course. Would you like me to turn this site into a Ponzi mode?

I think he meant, for example, instead of being 4 months for 100%, make it 1 month for 25%.

It's obvious that Hyper is not a pump and dump to anyone who has followed this coin. There has been a tremendous amount of work done to make Hyper a successful project. IMO Justin Giefer and David Seaman are stand up guys and we will hear some encouraging news soon. The Hyper community will endure.

We're now down to 3400 satoshi (almost 10% of what it was 2 months ago). The price is dropping FAST compared to the monthly interest rate. The question is whether or not it's going to go back up to where it was. It's hard to decide if this is a good time to buy in or if it's going to be like WDC (who, years later, is still almost worthless, despite weekly news).
2005  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly on: December 16, 2015, 03:57:33 AM
Although hao btc has higher interest compared to polox lending interest, you have to factor in the accountability and stability factor.

As pointed out,  China laws are ambiguous. If polox were to go bust one day, traders and lenders could file legal actions against the site and there is a remote hope of getting some funds back.

You can't do the same for hao btc. It is up to potential investors to weigh the risk. A higher interest rate should not be the sole consideration.

This is the main problem I have with most non EU/US companies. Most of them have a different regulation and laws. If they (For what ever  reason) become a victim of the governement, any third party will lose their money, without any oppertunity to fight is legally.

Obviously i use those parties in China but I tried to keep my max. balance less then 1 bitcoin, to minimize a potential lose.

Normally I'd say that you can't make money without risk, but in this case, the upside is 6% per year on a very volatile (read: high-risk) asset, which is hardly something to go chasing after for an investor. I exclude the "Finance" contracts here because those aren't liquid and in and of themselves boost risk significantly.

In what sense do you use the word "liquid"? We actually designed the product with liquidity in mind, and it is the reason why we decided to give users the right to withdraw their principal anytime - all they will sacrifice is the interest, small relative to their investment anyway.

But on an investment basis, they aren't liquid. Giving up that interest turns it into a high-risk, low-reward situation, with a potential zero upside. Not saying it's "bad," but should be taken into consideratíon.
2006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED] Staisybit - Universal Online Staking Wallet on: December 16, 2015, 12:06:20 AM
MikeMike, I think you are missing one crucial point:

- if we are problems in our back-end, we update you
- if we are updating the back-end, we update you

therefore:

- if a coin (f.e. Blackcoin) shows 0 coins generated AND you don't see updates from us, then it's not an error thus we don't have to update you

is it clear enough?

I rest my case.
Very sad...
What people see that are aware of the issues is your denial and attacking the messenger.
Wish you all the best, hope you come clean and deal with the real issues.

Sincerely,
MikeMike

I really can't figure out which is your problem man, really. We are doing our best here:

- we are present on Slack almost 24/7 to keep close communication with coins developers. You can ask them directly if you don't trust my word
- we always reply to all support requests (in a decent time frame, surely within 12 hours)
- we have the only web wallet which is completely public (everyone can see wallets addresses and thus check whether they are staking or not and how much they stake)

I really don't see what more we could do to be transparent and spread trust in our service.

If there's something you didn't understand or, even worst, something you think we are keeping hidden, could you please explicitly tell us more about it?

I did tell you a few times.
I hope you realize most people would not make the effort to bring these problems to your attention.
Your entire staking site was not staking coins for a few times.
Some coins have not staked in a few instances and had nothing to do with the coins. I am not referring to Europecoin.
Maybe it could be a problem with the scrypt that is written?
Could you have stopped all the coins from staking to deal with something?
EDIT: Could it be when you started up the site to stake all coins some have not connected quickly or at all etc?
I do not know.
All I am doing is bringing it to your attention.

Perhaps you are unaware of these problems and should take seriously when people try
to make you aware of them and make efforts to look into them by carefully monitoring.

Here is another suggestion:
Could you be more transparent in how you calculate the 24hrs staking totals of the coins.
Is it hourly?
Is it a few times a day? and if so, at what hours are the totals calculated? 12:00 noon? 4pm? or every hour?
Is there a delay in the calculating of the average daily coins staked or is it done in real time?
This way you and we can determine more accurately what is and has been going on.
I am not referring to the graphs but to the totals listed by coin in the middle page of the site.

I like the site for all the reasons you list, But if the coins are not staking properly people will go elsewhere to stake
and that is what I do not want to see happen.

MM

I don't follow this, apparently. How do you know whether or not their system is TRYING to stake? Staking is a lottery-based system. You could hold 99% of the coins and not stake anything for months. Or you could hold 0.0001% and stake every day. The AMOUNT you stake will be the same once a block is forged, so you lose nothing. I don't see what your issue is.
2007  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Ore-Mine.org: 1912+ BTC paid. 100% Real income! Mining in the form of the game on: December 15, 2015, 09:56:55 PM
Sector, this is a question for You! Please answer! I brought 5 hours ago amount, it is in the standby mode ORE_MINE and not on your wallet! Someone tell me what could be?

He specifically says the BTC wallet crashed (meaning no withdrawals can be made and no deposits can be credited) and then you ask why your deposit wasn't credited yet? Think about it.
2008  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] HaoBTC, mining dividend paid out hourly on: December 15, 2015, 09:12:18 AM
Still, halleybtc offers the same service at significantly higher interest rate. Even Hashnest Pacmic pays higher APR then this.

@crazyivan

The people behind HalleyBTC is the same behind Zeushash which ran away with investor funds. I will stay away from HalleyBTC.

Any proof of this?

There have been MANY instances of allegations. But like most things, it's extremely hard to piece together what's true and what's FUD. I can't personally confirm anything as a result of that, but there's been enough to keep me away (Google "halleybtc scam" and you'll find a lot).

Well, i guess you have at least reached ROI.
I'm not even at 50%.

And i know people that bought higher level mines some days ago.

It would now really suck if this is the end.

But this is the Gambling Section.
We were all aware of the risk.

It sucks, but we can not change it anyway.
Let's wait for the OP if he can say something but seems that he hasn't been online since 5th december, hope this is not the end.

He's answered tickets on the site as late as just 3 days ago that I'm personally aware of. No worries.
Not bad, it was weekend but he/they should be online today or later today, i am not registered there but is there any live chat or any moderator there, so maybe they can help you.

None, there is no live chat, any issues or questions can be raised through support. It's a good thing sector is here in this forum so if there's anything that needs to be raised sector can address that to support team.

My last withdrawal from here was ~36 hours ago with no issues. It was having problems for over a day due to blockchain.info DDoS (it apparently uses that for its API). Past that, support has always gotten back to me, though it's a little slow.

Any updates on the Devtome issue that was brought up here several weeks ago?

Now as far as I'm aware. I feel like DVC is in a black hole right now, and TBH, I'm not even sure how to (technically-wise) pull out of it anymore. There have been great ideas tossed around over the past many months, but nothing has been put into action due to inability to or other things. I feel like it may be worth setting up a sort of "round table" of sorts, with a new domain/setup/etc. to start anew (not the coin, but things like the forums and Devtome), to push forward the ideas people have had for resurrecting it.

I dont think you can get all your bets history from betterbets. Youd most likely have to contact rhaver from moneypot and ask if he could retrieve it for you since MP servers are where bets are stored

Interesting... I like the idea of this being open for all players to download. Sharing it with the MP team for further consideration, Smiley.

Actually, Karl is legit as far as I'm aware. Known him over a year under many different accounts (he likes to get banned a lot) and he's always paid back his investors in the past. Not sure about the recent months though.

Even if he pays his investors back it doesn't mean that he's not running a ponzi.

This is true, though he runs a network of sites and gets advertising revenue from them (with at least "quality" traffic). I won't vouch for this opportunity itself, but Karl has given me no reason to doubt him in the past. That said, it's obviously still risky, and I personally never invested with him.

2018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [LAUNCHED] Staisybit - Universal Online Staking Wallet on: December 14, 2015, 01:03:45 AM
In fact i minted 2 1.5 coin transactions in first 24 hours of turning it back on.

dbb8442d8c671c530723dff37d64a4a67110fa94cae2cb21839779b7f97449f8-000
d2defb30ffff41d1de259520085a65bb3729e0162ea94cc74dac0751ccb8c2f6-000

Staking does have nothing to do with the time you keep you PC on or off. The only 2 things that count (other than luck) are amounts of inputs and age of inputs.

Just to make everything clearer:

  • First transaction: d2defb30ffff41d1de259520085a65bb3729e0162ea94cc74dac0751ccb8c2f6
  • First input of that transaction: e7389b693728a0b85561104d1b9090ce7413ed186b80ab6bea4eaf32f2cdff79
  • Time of the transaction which has generated the input: 1407834952 - Tue, 12 Aug 2014 09:15:52 GMT
  • CoinAge of the first input: approx 1 year and 4 months
  • Reedmed on: 1449860992 - Fri, 11 Dec 2015 19:09:52 GMT (indeed your transaction)

Do you really think you can compare these transactions with a deposit made 3 days ago? Please, try other ways ......

He obviously doesn't know how staking works. I was wondering how he got such a high interest rate off such a short period of time as well when that's not how BLK works. But that explains it all, Smiley.
2019  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS][BNIB] Fitbit Charge HRs, Charge and Flex's [US, UK & CANADA] [100% Legit] on: December 13, 2015, 11:06:03 PM
Topic caught my attention but a few issues stand out after reading:

#1) Brand new-bie user won't take escrow and most buyers must pay first.
#2) Others might be able to pay upon receipt of tracking number (not item) which is meaningless because it shows nothing other than something was shipped which could be an empty box or a bag of rocks.

Sounds like it COULD BE a scam but of course that fact can NOT be proven until someone gets sucked into buying.
A vouch based on a description of how it is obtained is also meaningless because nothing is proven until delivery.

I might be willing to give it a try if a trusted escrow is used and if payment is not released until item is in my hand.

I meant I'd take a vouch one if he can verify where they come from. Receipt of stolen merchandise is a felony (depending on value, otherwise misdemeanor), so free or not, if they're illegal, you're stupid to accept one.
