2081  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling up to 1.25 etc, for PayPal. Higher limits for trusted buyers. on: June 15, 2014, 12:41:39 PM
Going to try the PayPal route. I know it's a haven for people to do chargebacks, but I feel I can see through most people's games.  We shall see. Max of 1.25 btc unless you have stellar trade history using PayPal.

Pm or message. Available on and off today and tomorrow.

Scammer section is full of people that thought the same thing and they were wrong.
I guess you want the buyer to send first?

Yes. Btc can be placed in an escrow also.

So, you are willing to leave coins in escrow for up to 90 days?

2083  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of user anush3070 on: June 14, 2014, 12:13:43 PM
anush3070, do you dispute any of the chat text that was  posted? If not, it looks like you kept moving the goal posts on the time. It also looks like you were in over your head and had a friend bail you out. If the chat text is valid, you need to reduce the price as per your agreement as you were way over the agreed time frame.
If the coin is unusable, you need to provide a full refund as you didn't fulfill the original agreement.

This isn't anything new as you can read here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=529244.0
2084  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of user anush3070 on: June 14, 2014, 03:30:52 AM
1. What was the original agreement?
2. When was it started/delivered?
3. Was anything changed from the original agreement?
4. Does it work as it should?
5. If it works, what is the problem? If it does not work, why?
2085  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buying 6 Bitcoins on: June 12, 2014, 01:47:07 AM
I Accept any escrow website on the wiki
Remove scam tag please

With your shady past history, you need to negotiate escrow from those trusted here, in this forum, if you want to purchase BTC.
2086  Economy / Lending / Re: Apply for a $10 Loan--- COLLATERAL REQUIRED---- on: June 12, 2014, 12:13:26 AM
Any collateral/accounts should be held by a trusted escrow. I would highly suggest you choose this as your business model at least until you get Trust built up.
2087  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is The Any Moderation Or Security On This Forum on: June 11, 2014, 03:25:04 AM
40% is much better than it was several months ago.
Start a scammer thread about the guy, include proof.

2089  Economy / Lending / Re: Need a loan for 0.2BTC with repayment in 7 days on: June 10, 2014, 04:37:29 AM
Hello all I just repaid a loan I had on here and I need one more. If you are willing to loan me the btc please contact me and if you can't find the info for the loan I repaid let me know and I will send you the info.

Thanks in advance!

What is the loan for? Interest rate? Terms?
2090  Economy / Lending / Re: [BTCJam] Scammer Index on: June 08, 2014, 04:29:07 PM
OP, just another quick question.

Would you happen to know, if my loan request gets funded how long can i wait before i activate it ?

Thanks for the info quite interesting i must say  Cool!

So what actually happens if you default? I didn't think there are people who would default haha, well i suppose people who are not verified would find it hard to obtain any size of loan, i myself am fully verified and had borrowed many times and have never defaulted and have no intention to, i currently hold A- rating, i will be at A+ soon. However, i would never trust investing into someone below C+ rating.

I use BTCjam alot, so far i have had big success with it!
Ideally i'm looking to get 25 BTC loan to put a deposit on a house Smiley

Since you use it a LOT and have big success, shouldn't you know?

2091  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.35 Loan, will pay back 0.45 on: June 07, 2014, 06:00:34 PM
No I thought he wanted .035 so I sent that. I didn't notice he wanted .35 so I asked for him to send it back. It's 1:30 in texas so I guess he went to bed. I'll update in the morning
hmm atleast your error made to send him less btc Cheesy  lets see if it returns to you

Roll Eyes Hopefully he didn't get scammed. Why would he even lend that guy any money, anyway? He won't even come on the thread.

That's fairly simple. Looking through his post history its clear he is a contributing forum member and trying his hand at becoming a miner. He had tons of posts trying to help people. An ebay account for raptor2213 had a 98% rating w/ one bad feedback about a 3$ item and most of the volume was for mining equipment. I'm brand new to the bitcoin community but I am from the online poker community and one thing I've learned is that a man's reputation is all you have online and it's worth a damn more than 20$. If you weed out a rat for 20 bucks you got a big win lol. Anyway this is terrible all around since my mistake ended up derailing his loan request and obv I feel bad but I'd eat my own shirt if barring his account getting hacked he really did scam me.

He was trying to scam $220, but you sent him $22 and his greed overcame him, he grabbed it and ran.
jk, but it doesn't look good at all. ebay rating means nothing, and also, reputation is considered, but reputation on Bitcointalk.

I disagree with that/  Ebay rating DOES mean something IMO when it comes to trading here, or at least for me.  It gives you a bit more hope that it's legit.  But then again, I wouldn't take any "accounts' reputations" as collateral.

We don't know that he was scamming, but it does seem suspicious.

Ebay has several tools to use against a fraud. It is generally enough to keep long standing people mostly honest. Ebay ratings really shouldn't/don't factor in here as it's completely different from an enforcement viewpoint.
2092  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Hardware compatibility on: June 06, 2014, 10:23:57 PM
How flexible are most mining software programs?

I'm interested in the idea of bit mining and have learned that in order to make any money, I have to use a GPU instead of simply relying on the computer's CPU.  I have seen many different suggestions of which graphics adapters are good to use for this purpose.  However, how easy is it to get the software to work with the graphics adapter?  Are they all, pretty much compatible, or is it that only certain miners will work with certain graphics adapters?

I have a bunch of old computers that have PCI slots, not PCI-express.  I know that it's possible to buy PCI-to-PCIe converters.  Could I simply buy one of the popular graphics adapters, like an AMD Radeon HD 7950, use a PCI-to-PCIe adapter, and use whatever mining software I choose?

I was planning on using this setup with eobot.com.  However, I once tried using a standard, cheaper graphics adapter, like a GeForce 6200 graphics card by nVidia.  When I tried to use it for mining, the program said that I needed an openCL driver.  When I went to the nVidia site, they didn't have one for that card.  I'm guessing this is because the card is a low-end, cheaper card.  But if I bought a better one, like the AMD Radeon HD 7950, am I still likely to run into issues like this?  Or is it that such a popular card will be easily compatible with most mining programs?

I'm really new to mining, and I don't want to buy a card online, just to find out that I have to send it back because only certain mining programs will work with certain cards.

Thanks for your time.

GPU mining has been dead for a long time, need to do more reading (see CURRENT articles) before blowing any money.

The problem with this gunstore site is not that it is a business, it is that it is a scam, it has no connection to that registrant.

To be fair, all those pro gun psychotic rednecks that think this is fun - please please you halfwits, send your bitcoin.
At least you won't have any bitcoin left to spend on real stuff.

I may have identified a niche bitcoin business - Vasectomies and DNA correction for Bitcoin. A free School Lunchbox sized grenade with every order.

Sigh.

Two words for you: Screw you
2094  Economy / Lending / Re: need loan of about .5btc - i have collateral. on: June 06, 2014, 07:46:51 PM
i need 300$ worth of BTC

please message me only if you have rep. no newbies unless you want to go first. escrow a must if you don't have rep and don't want to go first.
i have a moneypak for $300 as collateral. my limits on virwox go up on june 17th, and will be able to buy more btc with paypal like i usually do. i need this btc to pay my programmers, also members of this forum. just got scammed for 40$ from someone for not using escrow, so preferring members with history on this forum.

send me your Skype if you are interested, or message here, or by pm. i can show my paypal, virwox histories, showing hundreds, if not a few thousand in transactions, along the money pack, and receipts, it was paid for by cash, etc.. i also run a car rental business here in miami, just need someone to help me out. max amount of loan is 2 weeks. thanks.

While I'm an advocate of collateral, is there any particular reason you are holding on to that MP?

2097  Other / Meta / Re: Self moderated threads. (lending sub-forum) on: June 04, 2014, 03:29:03 PM
I agree, self moderated lending threads are a bad call.

Although the OP can be restored, I would have to agree with you: they are a bad call.
2098  Other / Meta / Re: Does taking rep-builder loans deserve a negative trust ? on: June 04, 2014, 12:21:01 PM
I will flag any reputation loan request. It is the same as buying Trust, which is exactly what they are trying to do. It is paying for a short cut instead of building long term Trust. (think purchasing an established account)
One must ask themselves: Why exactly are they borrowing .xxx, paying back in 24 hours with a small fee? Long con comes to mind.
