~snip

As for Alcaraz, yeah, I do agree that he possesses this strength and we have seen it already. It's just a question on how he will developed it and hopefully one aspect that we need to consider as well, he needs to be healthy or at least his body is not going to give in from injuries as to what happened to Andy Murray.

yeah, he is withdrawn from Rome, not sure is it because of foot injury that was mentioned in Spain, or just want to be fresh for RG, maybe a combo of those two

regarding matches, Wawrinka will play Djokovic tomorrow, and those were always good matches, happy to see it
Nadal running smoothly with Isner, Tsitsi's fight was already mentioned, but he also secured next round in the end, stability was always an issue for him

That's a good decision, you can't win them all, so it's better for him to rest and then focus on RG, one of the biggest event.

Tough match for Tsitsi though, he needed 3 sets to win.

Nadal has an easy time against Isner.

Cilic vs Norrie just concluded, and it was Norrie in 3.

Next up is Zverev vs De Minaur, this might be a 2 sets win for Zverev.
2242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 11, 2022, 08:06:33 PM
Memphis gonna go hard tonight.  If golden state thinks the game has been physical so far, tonight on the road they are gonna have to earn the win.  People think they are going to Waltz in on the grimes home court and roll them haven't watched the grizz this year.  They were 20-5 without morant against some real good teams.  GS will have to earn the win the hard way tonight.  Laying in on Memphis and the money line here.
They are indeed capable of winning even without Morant though there’s an impact for losing him but they should not be affected by that and should focus on the game tonight because this might be their last game if ever, so its now or never for Memphis. Warriors will also do the same thing, they won’t take any chances to be complacent because they know Memphis is not an easy team in the first place. The way Warriors played the whole series, I believe they are bound to finals.

I know that it's not going to be easy for GSW to win in the road, but they have proven that they can do it. Yes 20-5 without Ja Morant but that is very different though, I mean this is playoff basketball, we've seen how physical it was. And just like the other game, Grizzlies has the chance to steal 1 game at Chase center, but they fall short even though they have a huge 12 point lead in the fourth. So I would say that this might be the end of the series if the GSW started hot early took a big lead or even had a slim advantage in the last quarter.
2243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIP LUNA & UST ! Is USDD be same like that.. on: May 11, 2022, 11:30:13 AM
I believe the core team from UST made a fatal mistake making their stable coins completely destroyed even worst they can't recover, it's getting stronger because binance immediately delisted for LUNA and UST. As for USDD, I just saw it, but I don't trust the stability of new coins anymore since the UST incident, it's better to see them grow until many people believe in them, so far there are stable coins that are more certain, even USDT in trx the transaction fees are very cheap .

Oh well, they for sure have learn this lessons, a very expensive one as the price of their stable coins wasn't 'stable' at all because of the massive bank run that happen to them. I also curious as to why there are a massive sell and what triggers it. Because they have reported that they have invested their reserves on bitcoin instead of $, they have to sell at a lost now just to have their stable coins 1:1.
2244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 11, 2022, 10:44:19 AM

Ja Morant's possible missing tonight's game is a big disadvantage for the Memphis Grizzlies. Remember that in Game 3, they were put by the Warriors in a big margin lead prior to Morant's exiting the game because of that knee-grabbing incident. Therefore, with or without Morant, they were really struggling against the Warriors in front of the Chase Center's crowd.

With that incident, I'm not sure how the Grizzlies will cover what Morant will leave.

For some bettors, the -10 handicap seems can be easily covered by the Warriors.

Unfortunately, it turns out the opposite, the Warriors just barely won the game if not for their late heroics, specially of Curry who doesn't want to lose this game as Ja Morant is absence.

And with this win, they inches themselves to win this series and possible to face the Phoenix Suns for the West finals. But for now lets wait for the Warriors to beat Memphis one last time.
2245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: May 09, 2022, 11:16:33 AM

Bivol though has the option to wait for the winner of Beterviev vs Smith instead of fighting Canelo immediately.

He is the champion, he beat Canelo once and he can still make good money if he fights Canelo, so for sure he would go with the rematch. We saw how he dominate the fight and yet Canelo's camp cannot accept a defeat and they want a rematch, so wish granted for them and they should not expect a different result in fight number 2.

And this is where the money is, so Bivol can take this right away, earn good money while battering Canelo again for full 12 rounds.

If I'm Canelo though, I will just stick my nose to the weight class that I'm more familiar and dominant instead of chasing Bivol in a division wherein it was obvious not his. Canelo's camp should be why not to let him lose a fight against Bivol. Or better yet, as promised to us boxing fans, go for GGG trilogy, win that fight and move on.
2246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 09, 2022, 07:43:06 AM
Zverev lamented about the schedule of his games prior to the finals, it was kinda late then go home eat work with his physio, so by the time he finishes everything it's early morning, sleep but we all know that your body can only take that much and you need to rest in the night to be fully back 100% the next day.

Anyhow, this kid is for real, he will be moving up in ranking after this, from 7th-6th and most likely will crack the top 5 at the end of the year if he continues to perform like this.

The best bit of Zverev's runners up speech was when he said to Alcaraz "Even though you are still five years old you are still beating us all". That was really funny. But yes, top five looks a certainty before long for Alcaraz... if Zverev is number three, and on this showing Alcaraz is vastly better than number three already. And looking at this year's race, Alcaraz is number two, and only 70 points behind Nadal!

I think that's true, wasn't able to bet on this one but I will probably lost anyways because I will go on over because I thought that this might go on a decider setter. So now the likes of Medvedev, Zverev and Tsitsipas should take notice of this kind because he might be the biggest threat for them to replace the big 3. Maybe 2-3 years from now, Alcaraz could be the top 1 or top 2 players dislodging them in the rankings.
2247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Warriors vs Grizzlies 2nd round discussion on: May 09, 2022, 06:32:09 AM
^^ I'm not surprised by the line move though, was about to check and put a bet on the Warriors when I see that it move to -10.5. And now that it is confirmed that Morant will not play, it will be very hard for the Grizzlies to win because the Warriors is very fluid with a lot of them contributing, even Otto Porter has a good game.

I think it was not the intention of Jordan Poole to really injured Morant, it just so happened that he chase the ball and accidentally hold on Morant's knee.
2248  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Will Bitcoin dip below $40K? on: May 09, 2022, 05:42:02 AM
The price of bitcoin was below the average price of 40k dollars. Now the price of bitcoin was 38k dollars, since it’s good time to inverse your money in bitcoin. Now the economic crisis make the huge fall in the bitcoin price. And same is the reason for the value bitcoin we are getting at very low price. In a June month the price of bitcoin will cross the value of 42k dollars for sure.

Nah, there will be no attempt to reach $42k next month. Just look at the current price, we are in $33k, and it the downtrend continues to $32k'ish, I think it will really signal that officially the bearish cycle is here to stay.

So what that this mean? Well, for one, we should accept the fact and not to think that we will have a bounce back this year, this might be 2018 all over again, wherein we've seen not just bitcoin but the rest of crypto suffers and experience a downtrend.
2249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers - 2nd round (Let's discuss) on: May 08, 2022, 11:34:42 AM
I like how Philly won't go down easy in this fight but I also do believe that this might be the only game they could win in this series with Heat.

Heat is on another level right now with everyone playing on high pace and high quality basketball so it's really difficult for me to see them losing another game or the series. I've also said a few days ago that Heat and Celtics are looking the strongest right now with one of them ending up as a winner.

Because they know that this opportunity can't be missed, so they decided to play Embiid and it works for them.

I agree, for them this is just another game, maybe they are not ready for Embiid, nevertheless they are still in front of the series and it's time for them to device another game plan to counter Embiid presence in the middle. They still have Bam, so it won't be very easy for Joel to dominate the inside.
2250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 08, 2022, 10:56:30 AM
The Greek Freak did it again. 42 points 12 rebounds 8 assists. Great performance and becoming more of a facilitator. The Celtics did gave him a hard time to attack the paint by aiming for an offensive foul whenever he runs wild but it didn't stop him by using spin moves to create space and using his strong upper body to force his way in.
Shutting down Tatum was the first priority then everything goes their way. Good game and the ending was a bit dramatic.  Cheesy

Yeah, almost a triple double performance for Giannis again, he knows that he will be double or even triple team that's why he look for the open man. Although there were instance that his pass was intercepted, but at least he prove clutch again. For sure Tatum will bounce back next game, he had a good series against the Nets and I said that he is a legit star now. So he has to adjust to the defense being put on him to score.
2251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: May 08, 2022, 10:27:35 AM
Alcaraz suffered a foot injury (right ankle) in the second set, but he composed himself in the 3rd to close out Rafa and have his first win against him. Nadal still very positive during post injury even though he losses this match.
I was forcing Alcaraz all the time in this tournament and wanted to do the same all the way to the trophy but that foot injury has me worried. He moved poorly in second set and then started playing good in third again and that was while the injury did not have time to cool down. Could make him some problems today and if you are not on your 100% Djoković is the worst possible opponent. Really disappointed I have to skip this one.

But surprisingly, even with a foot injury, Alcaraz won against Djokovic, and he Djokovic was all praised with this kid. So skipping the match might be a good idea for now, but he will go and move to the finals but no choice to either go with him or bet on the result of Zverev and Tsitsipas later.

I didnt see any slow movement for him so i dont think the foot injury was serious at all. But he played an amazing tennis and will be no1 for sure in the future. Also Novak Djokovic had a chance in the second set and missed some clear shots that costed him the win

Yes, no signs of slow movement for Alcaraz. So we will see Alcaraz in the finals once again against Zverev.

If Alcaraz continue with his amazing run, he could be the winner. I'm just thinking of making the O/U bet on just the handicap, we will see.
2252  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoins and Influential Social Networks on: May 07, 2022, 09:58:44 PM
Mass “maneuver” networks or current social networks can be used to boost or defame a currency (crypto). Overall, is it beneficial to use monetary investment in social media to increase the value of a cryptocurrency? Even at the risk of defamation by the network itself?

Doesn't matter if someone will take bad on other projects, maybe those influencers are not on that project's payroll/bandwagon. Or they have a different investments so they will sway his followers against other projects.

I did say that it doesn't matter because it is still up to us whether to believed what has been said or put up on social media. Because if you will just listen to those to make decisions as far as your investing goes, then something is wrong with you.
2253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Bullish Trend Line? on: May 07, 2022, 09:12:46 PM
Most people I know personally all have gotten out of crypto and stocks. They all sold because they want to rebuy lower for half. They are also pretty convinced that there will be a recession soon. Everywhere you go people are talking about a recession.

Right, probably it's because of what is happening around us, the war, inflation and other geo politics that is affecting every market.

One thing I learnt about the markets is that if the retail market all thinks one thing, then most likely it won’t happen. So who knows when the bottom will be. There is a good chance that maybe it already bottomed out since people are so bearish now.

You can't blame retail though, I mean they are the bulk of the market, so they almost think very positive although we all seen this from previous history. We are in the bear market and most likely the price will still go down, maybe as low as the previous all time high (2017), around $20,000.

Even though the market is currently declining, I'm not sure if bitcoin will fall that low because judging from the current price range it's still very far from that.
Because every year there must be a correction in the bitcoin market price and to return to last year's market price it is really impossible.

At least it's better to prepare ourselves with that kind of worst situation.

Speaking of 2017 or early 2018, there are members screaming that bitcoin won't go down to $10k after reaching as high as $20k in its bull run. But guess? start of 2018 we enter a bear market and the price goes down hard. So lessons learned that time is that everything is possible, just like 6 digit price seems likely in the future, a $20k plunge with all the geo-political affecting all markets, we should be ready.

2255  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: May 07, 2022, 08:16:34 PM
I commend Coach Doc Rivers for making such a play. Embiid doesn't even have to be physical, all he needs to do is suck all the defense to him and it worked. Then, there's one play that I admired, a two-man play consisting of Green and Maxey.

I am glad I can see Danny Green moving again without the ball. Don't be stuck in one corner waiting for it, look for your own opening while messing up the Heat defense. I will bet for them in Game 4, no doubt.

That's an effective strategy but I hope Danny Green or Maxey will have the same performance next game. They are on and off in the court. In other words, they can't maintain that kind of performance and that will result in a waste of using Embiid.

Now that Heat is focused on defending Joel Embiid, it's time now for his teammates to do their role.

I'm still waiting for the Playoffs James Harden to be released. He is known to always have a big production in every playoff but he is still not on his usual.

It was only Maxey that is somewhat consistent to help Harden when Joel was out. Danny Green? not that much except for this game at their home court. I guess the savvy veteran in himself tells him to really get aggressive and shot the ball effectively. James Harden is also known for choking in playoffs, so still up to Embiid to carry the Sixers get passed the Heat but it will be not that easy.
2256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] George Kambosos vs Devin Haney - Undisputed Lightweight Title - June 5 on: May 07, 2022, 07:52:23 PM
^^ Most likely this is what we are going to see, adjustments from both fighters and see who will get the upper hand.

And talking about Kambosos, he said he is willing to give Lopez a rematch even at 140 lbs just to shut his big mouth of his. That is if he is going to win against Haney, so it is the first agenda on the table for him because Haney is not an easy fight.
In terms of adjustments and IQ level, it's undeniable that Haney have those capabilities than Kambosos who only knows to brag and open his mouth about his future careers in life. It might be best for him to shut up for those future opponents that he will likely face and to focus on how he would defeat Haney who is more greater than him.

On the contrary, I think George has this personality that he thrives with this trash talking and fueling his fire to knockout or knockdown his opponent like what Lopez and his father did to him. So in the ring he proved his superiority. And just like the start of the press conference, this started to throw insults at each other signaling that this fight will be the same for Kambosos, get motivated and punish Haney in the ring but it will not be that easy.
2257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: May 06, 2022, 05:42:17 PM
But Tank has the experience not to fall for Romero's antic inside the ring. The odds really show that it is going to be a mismatch. Maybe it's better if we will wait for more betting options because the ML is not that great. Perhaps majority here are fans of Tank and can't wait to see Davis putting works against this clown and scoring a knock out win.
2258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin inventor Craig Wright aims at a trillion transactions per second on BSV on: May 06, 2022, 04:49:12 PM
on a more serious note, i can't remember the name of the exchange off the top of my head but some big exchange recently announced they were de-listing BSV. just another nail in the coffin, i would think...if it keeps getting delisted, it won't be worth anything. zero!

maybe storing nft images will be its saving grace.

Well BSV is still in the market, but then again, it wasn't the project that he dream of. He as exposed as a fraud but he keeps on dreaming and still to this day claim that he is the real Satoshi.

Fast forward to 2022, he still insisted, but we all know that he ain't the Satoshi that created BTC so I'm not surprised that exchanges are going to delist his project because there is no support from the community.
2259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto prices crash as threat of war looms on: May 06, 2022, 04:20:55 PM
I think the decline in the price of bitcoin is not because of the war situation between Russia and Ukraine but because of fear and greed and the psychological factors of investors often affecting the price of crypto. Especially lately, the price of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies has a correlation with the stock exchange whose prices are affected by economic conditions.

Economic conditions due to what? war definitely is a big factor why everyone is afraid right now to invest. Stocks market is down and so is crypto, telling us that there is indeed a correlation between this financial market. Again, the emotions that you are describing point to the same factor, the geo-politics between US and Russia. So as much as we don't want to admit it, the war between Ukraine and Russia has a deep effect on crypto market.
2260  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 06, 2022, 12:31:09 PM
With the Suns seemingly dominating the Mavericks and the 76ers without Joel Embiid, I think both series look like they could end in clean sweep victories for the Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat. I’d feel pretty good betting on both games individually for the Suns and Heat to cover the spread as well as a multi-bet for them both to win. I feel like Dallas has a chance of Luka managed to take over a game but so far Devon Booker has been shutting him down. Both games will be televised on ESPN.

That's the biggest difference in this series, Luka can't takeover the game just like what he did against the Jazz because someone is covering him so far and no one has been stepping up on them because of the good defense by the team as a whole. And if I'm not mistaken, he has some sort of injury, in his thumb that might bother him a bit in the next game. As for the Sixers, I think it's over as there is no Joel for them. So yeah, I like the idea of doing a multi bet for both Suns and Heat to cover the spread.
