pretty old..

it has a huge database, guesses even not so famous local celebrities Smiley

And video game characters apparently, though I have defeated him with K'... but K' appears in the list at the end, so I probably screwed up some answers. Smiley

I have sent you a PM as well.

As to why I want to win: no doubt that would be because I want the 0.5 btc for myself. Cheesy
2423  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [MARKETGLORY] Free 18 Euro who register my referral! on: July 25, 2014, 07:21:06 PM
Out of curiosity, will that be enough to give your referral the bonus 100 experience? I've never actually used that bonus, but I was under the impression it required €20. Also, is it possible for people to withdraw that amount immediately afterwards (or considering any fees and the €20 minimum for withdrawal, some time after)?
That's one time offer 100 exp for 20 euro. You can withdraw the amount (min 20 euro and game fees 20% go to partner funds) but i prefer a user who would like to continue the game and will invest money.

I suppose that, as people will create a new account, you could invest the €20 so that they could start off with the 100 experience point bonus - it would speed their progress somewhat, I guess. That said, there would probably be no guarantee that they wouldn't simply withdraw the money afterwards. Tongue

I hope stunna doesn't lower the payment rates, the 0.4 is very important to me, unemployment in my country is insane so this is an awesome extra  Cry

If it goes to a fixed amount you'll get more per post but less overall. On the other fixed deals you pretty much get double what PD is paying but it's only for 50 posts. I'm sure Stunna will better their rates/payment in some way though.

I'm confused, perhaps you can enlighten me, whats with all the talk of rates changing and fixed amounts etc. Whats the issue with the current system? Is someone paying higher ?

No, Stunna was considering changing the payment structure to be based on activity somehow, and people assumed it will become similar to the fixed rate campaigns. Whether this will be the case or not, we don't know, and likely won't find out until the next payment period, or the one after that.
2426  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-Israel protesters rally across France on: July 24, 2014, 06:14:03 PM
That might very well be true, but these demonstrations have been going on a little all over: France, UK, Germany, Turkey, US, New Zealand, Norway, Argentina, Sweden and Australia, last I checked - I'm sure these aren't all just Muslims making up the demonstrators either.
I think this shows that the Hammas strategy of using civilians as human shields has worked as there has been a lot of collateral damage in Palestine, but the reason for the collateral damage is because Hammas is putting it's weapons in places like hospitals and schools.

That's a fallacy - even if Hamas is doing so, what gives Israel the right to attack anyway? No, the reason for the incredible loss of life that has been going on there, on a daily basis, is that the people in Gaza are being slaughtered by Israel. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot wrong with Hamas, but no one is forcing Israel to attack Gaza - there are other ways to solve this conflict, like for example, Israel ending the 47 year old occupation and lifting the blockade on Gaza, that has left the people there on the verge of an humanitarian crisis (and purposefully so, as we've learned from leaked American-Israeli documents, and later officially admitted).

And the line that Hamas is using civilians as human shields left and right just doesn't add up to the more than 700 people killed, 80% civilian casualties (before the ground invasion - it's anyone's guess how many it is now), the constant Israeli attacks on vital infrastructure each time it bombs Gaza, the missile attack on a busy intersection near the market, the attack on the beach cafe while people were watching the World Cup and the recent attack on the beach where the other kids were playing.
2427  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you earn money online? on: July 24, 2014, 03:39:36 PM
how much do you usually make from signatures?

That depends on which campaign you join, how much you post and what member rank you are. In my case for example, I am a Senior Member, I'm promoting PrimeDice and I usually make somewhere between 200 and 300 posts a month; so I'm making 0.2 or 0.3 btc from the signature campaign each month.
2428  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is your dream job? on: July 24, 2014, 01:24:33 PM
I wanted to be a pilot as a kid, but as i grew older i realised that my real dream is to do nothing at all.
I was born to rest, and be lazy, not to work.
Now if i could just figure out a way to earn money without doing anything, that would be awesome.
I wonder what that Nigerian prince is doing now ..

I just want to get full time lazy and do nothing. Nothing is important in this life. We are all gonna die after all.

There must certainly be something you guys like to do, even if not directly remunerated at this point in time; hanging out with friends maybe? Traveling? Playing music? Surfing the web? Something at all, other than sitting/laying down on a couch? Tongue
2429  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is anyone following the Israel & Palestine Situation. on: July 24, 2014, 12:20:48 PM
Oh yes, now the world know the truth!  But no one intervenes .....  Roll Eyes .

they don't have to..

when the people know the truth they will stop this madness.
the UN is already investigating alleged war crimes by Isreal.

unlike super powers China and the USA... Isreal cannot continue to make war without serious financial help from outside.
Hamas too cannot wage war without being funded from some of the Arab league nations

Don't put too much trust in the UN investigation; last time (Goldstone Report) they were put under pressure by the US so that it went nowhere, as we know from Wikileaks. On the other hand, you have campaigns like the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, which could help pressure governments to take action.

Chances are that this situation will reach a point in which Israel will find itself isolated, much in the same way South Africa did.
2430  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UK to decriminalize file sharing on: July 24, 2014, 11:18:24 AM
That definitely doesn't make any sense at all. Why would it be illegal? It's like a library, only remotely and easily accessible, with loads more information. There is nothing wrong with file sharing....

You are right, there is nothing wrong with the act of file sharing, trouble is when people are sharing copyrighted files.
This is accurate, there is no real need to do this. File sharing on a P2P level is very inefficient and puts users at risk of getting infected with a virus

How do you figure p2p file sharing is very inefficient? Sure, if you're not careful with what you download and install, you could run into trouble; but otherwise, it seems a pretty good system to me.

But what we do actually need is copyright reform, and getting rid of useless middlemen.
2431  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 24, 2014, 09:02:00 AM
Pay per activity is a terrible idea... Users that post more are worth more for a signature campaign --> more ad's placed

Not to mention it encourages buying accounts, if you only have to post say 50 times to receive the payout (which is likely ~1/2 the payout size for someone that posts a decent amount per month) than it would make the multi dipping signature users job much easier, just post 50x on each account and receive full payout on all of them instead of posting several hundred times to reach better payout.

What about making it works like a hybrid between pay per activity and pay per post:
If you have made 50 posts, you got X btc; if you have made 100 posts, you got Y btc; If you have made 200 posts, you got Z btc.

Something with decreasing returns, the more posts you make: that was the system that was in place at the start of the campaign, I believe. Of course the rank system was changed in the meantime (with the limits imposed on the member signatures), so that type of payment structure would probably still need to account for that.
2432  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Israeli think tank suggests raping Arab women to deter suicide bombers on: July 24, 2014, 07:43:09 AM
Perhaps his time would be better invested in understanding what has driven these suicide bombers to the point of such despair, Its quiet simple its the continued illegal occupation of their land with no real effort on the part of Israel to resolve the problem and neither will they while Israel continues to be funded by the US. Remove the support and Israel will have to negotiate This is how Apartheid in south Africa was overcome.

Is the Gaza strip still "illegally occupied" by Israel?

Yes - occupation doesn't only take the form you're alluding to.

Quote
“I’m not talking about what we should or shouldn’t do,” Kedar insisted. “I’m talking about the facts. The only thing that deters a suicide bomber is the knowledge that if he pulls the trigger or blows himself up, his sister will be raped.”

This is actually reasonable thinking it may be morally wrong ect. But in war morals can be thrown out the window. It is also very much a cultural thing. In the arab world a man feels that it is his job to protect everyone in their families from the second they become men till after their death. (thinking about it it is like this all over the world or it should be.)

No, even in war, you can't throw morals out the window. It seems to me that a more reasonable approach would be to end the brutal occupation the Palestinians have been subjected to for half a century now; that would greatly reduce the radicalization of the population (on both sides).
2433  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you earn money online? on: July 24, 2014, 07:29:05 AM
But I completely agree with you on the rest: buying and selling accounts, especially older accounts, and those with previous trades, completely warrants the negative trust, in my view.

what about accounts with neutral trust that don't have any kind of history like that? just curious. i'm not usually one to stick my nose into other people's business myself. Smiley

I think they're still a problem to be honest: it's still an account whose owner changed, and any relation he might have had to other forum users, might now expose them to risk. Further, if they were bought once, there is no guarantee they aren't in the hands of someone who won't sell them again, therefore untrustworthy.

The UK Did *NOT* Just Decriminalize File-Sharing

http://torrentfreak.com/the-uk-did-not-just-decriminalize-file-sharing-140723/

<< All it took yesterday was a single article to trigger off a tidal wave of copycat reports across dozens of sites including the mainstream RT.com. Just to be absolutely clear - Britain HAS NOT decriminalized file-sharing and to suggest otherwise only puts people at unnecessary risk. File-sharing remains ILLEGAL in the UK, guaranteed. >>

I was going to post exactly this. This is just an added "voluntary" measure, similar to the six strikes in the US; it doesn't protect anyone from actions copyright holders might want to take against file sharers.
2435  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [MARKETGLORY] Free 18 Euro who register my referral! on: July 24, 2014, 05:41:13 AM
Sure, I'll register. Tongue  How will you actually deposit the funds into my account though?

Aren't you already playing MarketGlory monbux? Tongue

Also, shouldn't someone ask questions about this, like, for how long does OP expect people to play and so on?

Banned because I am loaded.

Banned for being loaded and not detailing the contents in the cargo manifest.
2437  Other / Off-topic / Re: Answer the question above with a question. on: July 24, 2014, 05:04:19 AM
Slighty off topic, but isn't an anaphora the repetition of words at the beginning of the sentences?

How do you figure anything at all is off-topic for this thread, given that the only recurring theme is posts ending with a question?

You should probably read the first post of this thread a little bit better: on the one hand, you don't need to post here to signup anymore, and should instead use the online form to do so; then, you need to actually use the PrimeDice signature instead of the UpDown one, if you really want to promote PD, that is. Tongue
2439  Other / Off-topic / Re: If you could move to any country, which would you choose? on: July 24, 2014, 02:28:26 AM
I don't really know for sure which country is the best. Some have great climate, some have nice people or something more... So I would probably will be staying in my country of birth till my death.

Wouldn't that be all the more reason for you to want to travel around and find out which country suited you the best, instead of resigning yourself to stay in the same place forever? Tongue

Curious to see what Rollin.io's campaign will look like.

Rollin.io said his campaign is starting by the end of the month. That's why I am hanging around signature-less  Grin

Will u join them if they come up with a fixed pay campaign ?

Have they given any indication that that is the type of campaign they want, or are they still studying what their options are? And are their rates expected to be high? Smiley
