61  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are you buying right now ? on: January 06, 2021, 02:39:13 PM
I personally have no plan on buying in the meantime and actually, I already sold some of my bitcoin recently. Though you have a point that it might increase even more but it's a bit too risky for me since we're also expecting a correction. Right now, I'm into altcoins because bitcoin is too high for me. But I hope that we still keep getting new ATH, and might as well reach $40k.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 06, 2021, 01:28:14 PM
They have used such stuff toys just to show that gambling is all for entertainment but that is not what other think, kids are attracted and interested in such toys so they may also get interested in gambling which is not good for people under 18 years old. We have to consider always many things before doing something, many kids can watch and see those things so be careful with that. If that is really what they mean then for sure they want to persuade young people to gamble.

I think they didn't mean to persuade the young people to gamble since many casino put a +18 age warning before you gamble also there are KYC happens if someone win a huge price or some suspicious happen to their accounts and minors will be busted if they play on online casino for that. Maybe the main intention of using some stuff toy is to lighten the outlook of the people about gambling since actually if we talk about gambling many people think about bad sides about it and they always point out that all gamblers are addicted to the game.

But this stuffs have double meaning and its good that authority take an action since many young people can mislead this thing and might those advertisement can really caught their attention to try gambling since they will think that its a fun stuff.
Regardless of the reasons why they included stuffed animals, they still have responsibilities with it since kids are easily attracted to such things they see. Good thing that there were already complaints at the beginning before it could actually make kids search about their casino. It's a lesson for them and to other casinos to be careful in choosing symbols, designs, and other stuff when it comes to making advertisements.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEWARE OF SCAMMERS DISGUISING AS SAFEPAL on: January 05, 2021, 04:55:30 PM
Not only safepal; but every airdrop is what you should always detail and find out its credibility before you engage and refer friends. Be careful of scammers every time; never pay anyone or send anyone your private key in disguise as an airdrop. Be smart, stay informed and always do your own research.
As impersonating and cloning of websites are a widely known technique of fraudsters in the crypto space, we should be responsible for keeping our data and assets safe from any form of threats. The website may seem convincing and genuine, but it does not define its credibility. As the project conducts an airdrop, the fraudsters will take the opportunity to solicit some money from the users by tricking them into signing in their account into the phishing website. Thus, the key is to report the website and inform people to prevent victimization. Good thing that SafePal is hands-on with the safety of their wallet users, they have warned them of the possible scams that can be associated with their wallet.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of so many cryptocurrencies? on: January 05, 2021, 03:52:01 PM
I think this question is for those who developed altcoins and still planning to even though there's already a bunch of altcoins in the market. But of course, they have different reasons, others claim to provide more use cases or applications that can't be found in others while others are just trying to scam people and more. Even me, I sometimes wonder why do they still keep developing coins when it's already hard to compete with others, especially for well-known coins. And there's no assurance that their project will be successful however, it's similar to a business where you can start your own if you want to although you know there's already a lot of business in a similar field.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: January 05, 2021, 03:07:56 PM
Honestly,  it depends on my situation and mood. When I need the money, I used my earnings in the signature campaign for that but when I don't have any important thing to use it for, I just hold it until I will be needing money. And when I'm in the mood to gamble, I only use the amount I earn in the campaign, or even less since I'm limiting myself and don't want to overspend on gambling.
66  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The gambler who manages to beat the casino on: January 05, 2021, 12:54:09 PM
Can we really consider cheaters as part of the people who manage to beat the casino? Because obviously, if it was not for their tools or whatsoever, they won't be able to win such a huge amount of money. Cheating means you are also cheating yourself and it includes bigger consequences since it involves money. Personally, I won't be inspired by those people who cheated just to so-called beat the casino.
67  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Verified Twitter account is being used to promote fake giveaway! on: January 05, 2021, 12:06:16 PM
It's either Elon's twitter account has been hacked again or another edited image circulating around social media.

Its edited ,I saw that in Facebook and I check elon's twitter the same day and no mention of that fake giveaway.they use that edited tweet to promote in other hacked twitter account and saying they receive it. so other people that following those hacked account will believe that its real giveaway which in reality its not and only want to stole other peoples bitcoins. BTW elons tweet edited the same day he mention doge on his tweet.

By checking the tweet history of Elon Musk, you can verify there are not any recent tweets regarding that giveaway. Therefore, it could be edited as there are similar tweets reported in the forum last year, which can be seen in this thread.
[1] Have you ever heard of FAKE Elon Musk giveaways? Here is one...

Nonetheless, those scammers won't stop portraying prominent figures and personalities. Thus, we should be vigilant in participating in any giveaway, especially on Twitter and Instagram which has been a place for a scammer to conduct their awful activities. We should be aware that those verified accounts could possibly be hijacked from a verified user, so stay informed with their different scheme.
68  Economy / Economics / Re: Very serious Question the New money system on: January 04, 2021, 05:08:17 PM
If no new money system we will not get out from the Lock down!
Government knows people can not handle this lockdown for too Long so they will make asap new money system.

Or maybe we dont see this they just  change the debt based money Creation into Something More sustainable perhaps...

Probably the banks buying bitcoin to use it as the tool to create and hold new kind of system
I don't think it is about implementing a new monetary system because lockdown will ease once they start distributing vaccines and the infected people started decreasing. And I also don't think governments will be having a new monetary system.

Ok If no cash then?
One day You to shop there is some problems with
Electronic or tech... so how this issue will be solved?  Hackers and this kind of problems
And how Our elderly will use it?

And cbdc how its measured value supply?
Other countries may start adopting to CBDC but I doubt they will eliminate the use of paper money. Also, CBDC will still be the same as how they measure and balance the amount of money circulating.
69  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Paypal Smishing Campaign on: January 04, 2021, 04:35:54 PM
The hackers bait the user by threatening it with the permanent limitation of the account. Any people, specifically PayPal users could possibly respond and fill out their credentials on the website to resolve the issue. Thus, if you ever receive such a threat with your account, verify it to the customer service number of the company to ask for proper assistance. Regardless, we should be careful and learn to investigate before sharing any information.
70  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to spot an Investment Scam on: January 04, 2021, 02:54:12 PM
Research has been an essential component of investment. It is conducted for the proper management of portfolios, prevent scams, and understand the functionality of the market. Investors should be responsible as it risks their financial assets, especially that scams are lurking around on numerous platforms. We should understand some of those could be executed to provoke investment fraud. Therefore, we should conduct cross-checking to detect any distinctive signs.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 04, 2021, 02:18:03 PM
1. Why did the company use this kind of advertising in the first way ?
If the company is trying to put a little cuteness on their advertisement, they should also consider the things they will include as gambling is not for children. Stuffed animals can attract a lot of kids and they need to be careful choosing what to put because kids are not their target customers.

2. What should we do to ensure that kids under 18 doesn't start to gamble? We cannot ask them for identity cards and then expect them to show.
Their parents should be the first to ensure that they don't get engaged in gambling at a young age. We cannot really stop them if they want to gamble since they will keep finding ways especially now that they are more exposed to technology and the internet. So it's their parent's job to monitor their children on what they do on the internet.
72  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hamster powered races on: January 04, 2021, 12:51:29 PM
This is something I never heard before, though it's quite cute and funny to watch. However, I kinda think that there's no much excitement watching this aside from the cuteness since based on the video, the track is so short so it will only take a few seconds to know who will win. I don't know for others but for me, it would lack thrill and excitement compared to other types of races. It might be cute at first but can also get boring after some time. Thus, the idea is nice especially if there's a different level of the tracks where it gets longer and more hurdles something liken that.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins will do best in 2021? on: January 03, 2021, 03:57:25 PM
What do you think?
You are too early to ask questions like this, aren't 2021 just beginning ...? I don't think anyone will be able to answer your question, because here no one can see the future. They can only predict few coins based on the trading volume on the market, but not all the predictions are correct. If you want to know the best altcoins, You can see a list of the top 10 coins on CMC.
Indeed, we never know and we cannot tell what altcoins will do good this year since we are just starting. But to answer op's question, I guess it's safer to say that it will be those top coins in the market. I mean, who should we expect, of course, those who are leading. Although we can't really guarantee that all of those coins in the top 10 since we don't know what will happen in the coming months, I have hopes for them.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No 2FA and robbed of 0.097BTC on: January 03, 2021, 02:15:18 PM
Sorry for your big loss, if this things won’t happen we will not realise the importance of 2fa security feature. But I think even without your 2fa enabled, the site should automatically notify you if there’s a suspicious login to your account. In my opinion the site was accountable for that incident.
I don't think that they should be really accountable for this, and op still has a mistake for not enabling 2fa when we know that this kind of incidence is becoming more rampant. It's a part of being careful and securing our account but since he didn't enable it, he was vulnerable to getting robbed. But it's good that their support team is responsive and helpful to op though I don't think the site would be giving back the money that he lost or something because it's not really their fault. At least op learned his lessons now.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We can reduce our chances of loss on: January 03, 2021, 12:45:24 PM
Newbies need to understand first how things work in the crypto space, as well as being careful with the coins they are choosing to invest. Learn when and where to invest since it will help them/us to prevent getting losses and to earn more profit. As for newbies who are still exploring the market, I agree that it's better to invest in top altcoins that will give us more guarantees than those shitcoins.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the biggest mistake you've made on crypto? on: January 03, 2021, 11:56:40 AM
To be specific, it is failing to assess the credibility of a project which resulted in a substantial loss to me. Unfortunately, I lost a portion of my hard-earned money, as it turns out to be a scam. I regret it as I was foolish to believe a project that has an unbelievable claim of an easy profit but has no functionality. Regardless, it comprises a valuable lesson that I continue to apply thus far, and it fulfills a significant role in the development of my knowledge.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Bitcoin Hack (WARNING!) on: January 03, 2021, 09:28:27 AM
This can therefore also happen with other wallets.
Actually, it already happened to different wallets.
For instance:
[1] 2 new Metamask phishing site thru Google Ads
[2] {Warning}: Exodus phishing website in Google
[3] Atomic wallet's phishing website is being promoting in google's ads.

Thus, we should not be recklessly browsing on Google. As the top google searches are filled with ads, always check the URL to see the difference. To prevent such circumstances, you can bookmark the official website, so you don’t have to do searches to visit it.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asking About Riobet Casino on: January 02, 2021, 04:18:54 PM
Riobet was established in 2014, and that was quite a long years but most of us probably have not heard about this because they don't promote their casino here in the forum. They probably did not promote their site here because since fiat currencies are mostly supported in their site, and they only have Bitcoin in crypto.

Also, op just asked for an opinion if we can trust Riobet cause maybe there's someone who tried playing in this casino. And I think they still offer free spins when I visit their site.

so they are just an "old" casino that trying to expand their market by accepting crypto?
it's funny that my browser (google chrome) gives me a pop-up message about dangerous sites warning.
it asked me if I want to go to Roobet.com instead of Riobet.com

despite the casino reviewer can be paid for a good review, so far their rating is good for most of the reviews that I found on the internet.

I don't really know since when did they start accepting bitcoin on their site, but were they really able to expand their markets when they don't promote it on crypto forums like this? But unlike you, no message popped up when I tried looking at their site. I also tried searching for reviews but it was all good reviews that can be paid so we should not really be dependent on reviews on the internet.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 01, 2021, 05:06:57 PM
For me, I don't need to touch my bank balance, can't risk it in gambling, what I make online is what I gamble and though winning is not easy, I can still survive. Who knows one day I'll be making money from gambling, quit my job and focus on being a professional gambler, everything is possible, unfortunately I have to admit that chances is very slim for me.

I hope you are not serious with it, quit your job and become a professional gambler sounds like unwise decision imo. Even if you want to be professional gambler, you do not need to quit your job unless you want to gamble 24/7 (I doubt someone will do it). If you can do both by good time management, it will give you a better result.

I'm serious, but I would not do that if I'm not certain yet that I can trust my skills to be profitable in sports betting. As a gambler, it's our ultimate dream to make money in gambling and if we feel we have the skills, why not try to make our journey?
It's not impossible to live out of gambling where we get our income from there, although it may be a rough path. Of course, we do dream of earning money in gambling that's why we gamble in the first place. But being a professional gambler will probably require a lot of experience and knowledge since you also need to be good with your funds, not only in games. Also, even if we dream of such a thing, being a professional gambler is not for everyone. Even me, I can't imagine myself with no job and just gambling to live.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you trust social media influencers on cryptocurrencies. on: January 01, 2021, 02:26:34 PM
An influencer marketing strategy is implemented to attract and encourage users/investors. They target a wide range of audiences for an easy process of disseminating information and promotion. Honestly, it is difficult to trust any of those so-called influences as there is a chance that it will induce you into developing a passive decision. Some of them are just manipulating their followers as they have gained their trust. Consequently, I choose to stay away from listening and believing them as I can evaluate the market situation myself or any project that I find interesting.
