Here is a small introduction how to use bitcoin https://bitcoin.org/en/getting-started
To use bitcoin, you do not need to understand all technicalities or things like mining yet.  Simply need a wallet to hold bitcoins.
However, if you are interested in that I recommend reading the bitcoin paper.
Once you have a wallet you will have a unique bitcoin receval address.
663  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 6 things bitcoin introduced to us on: September 03, 2014, 06:08:04 PM
Just a bit of research here. What are the things that bitcoin introduced us to? Is there any?

Yes, a new technological concept and system which can be used online.
664  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who controls the Bitcoin software? on: September 03, 2014, 05:53:09 PM
Is there anything comparable to a "board of directors" for Bitcoin control?

It is not necessary, bitcoin prevents money theft by a middleman. The network controls itself.
665  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how many bitcoins will there be ? on: September 02, 2014, 09:48:40 PM
there shall be 21 000 000 bitcoins it total but will be less due to lost passwords etc. and last bitcoin will be mined around 2140

around 1% is lost 4ever :ooooo
Lost coins can be seen as profit for all other bitcoiners because the bitcoins in circulation will be more scarce.
666  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone ever played this game? on: September 02, 2014, 09:42:39 PM

Final Fantasy? I played it many many years ago, but isn't this off topic? Smiley
667  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Best Mobile Bitcoin Wallet for Android? on: September 02, 2014, 01:38:27 PM
Blockchain has some nice features on it.  Such as finding places that take BTC.

I would not use a mobile wallet for big amounts of bit coin but spending money.
Right, the Android platform has lots of malware on it. For big amounts use another storage  Smiley

So my question is: Why are Altcoins unsecure?
Not all, but some alt coins are trojans or pump & dump.
669  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: uBTC and mBTC on: August 31, 2014, 11:24:35 AM
i'm confused
what is uBTC and mBTC Huh

thanks a lot !!!

The smallest unit is a satoshi. Everything else is an amount of satoshi (sat).

100 sat = 1 uBTC
100.000 sat = 1 mBTC
100.000.000 sat = 1 BTC (you are a multi-millonaire  Wink)

Of course, you can also write it the other way around

1 uBTC = 0.00000 100 BTC
1 mBTC = 0.00 100000 BTC

673  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If i upload photos from a virused computer to facebook, are they cleaned? on: August 27, 2014, 06:22:08 PM
How in hell can a picture have code  Roll Eyes
A good fake, make an executable that starts an image program and loads a picture. Meanwhile, it's an executable that can run virus.
The user would need to be fooled into thinking '.jpg.exe' is an image. This kind of virus cannot be shared trough facebook, as far as I'm aware.
674  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If i upload photos from a virused computer to facebook, are they cleaned? on: August 26, 2014, 11:59:20 PM

computer A has many viruses with photos

i will upload to facebook hosting from computer A

view or download photos on computer B, can computer B get any virus from computer A ?

Computer A will be burnt with fire after using. Smiley

A virus is executable code and it would thus require that the image is executable. It could be hidden as a .jpg.exe
It is unlikely but not impossible in theory. In practice, the transmitter facebook hosting does not permit .exe uploads.

If the transmitter is another hosting provider then it is plausible.  A user would be required to download the executable and run it.

Which business project you will like to start where the competition will be minimum and  you get maximum profit. What do you think?

676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why There Should Be A Bitcoin Central Bank on: August 25, 2014, 10:13:49 AM
The Bitcoin world doesn’t have central banks, and this fact even appeal to some of its supporters with libertarian inclinations. Among these people, a widely-held belief is that bailing out insolvent banks is no different from highway robbing; if a bank screws up, the argument maintains, it should face the consequences alone, rather than letting all economy participants across the system to share the pain in the form of debased per unit currency value.

In a capitalist system any company can fail or succeed, it's up to the company to make profits not up to society. Therefore the current system enforced by the government is not a capitalistic system.

Quote
However, without a central bank system, a fractional reserve system can be risky. This is illustrated by the many failed banks in history and most recently, the spectacular fall of Mt. Gox. Before it became clear that the Bitcoin exchange was insolvent, users traded under the false assumption that they were trading their own bitcoins, when the reality is they were just trading in “Goxcoins”, which is just thin air. Later it is discovered that the exchange had lost tens of thousands of its customers’ coins; the cause remains a mystery to this day.
There is no mystery, Mr. Karpales has them  Wink

677  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I like doing bitcoin trading to earn money on: August 25, 2014, 10:02:11 AM
Day trading is a bit risky in my opinion.

It is risky if you a) are unskilled in trading, b) are not rigorous with your analysis and c) do not practice good risk management. Most people blow up their accounts because of the third reason.
Exactly, this is what happens to newbies in trading. There is a lot of panic selling which whales take advantage of  Smiley Knowing when to buy and sell is the hardest part of trading
678  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [Request] QR Code converter to text for Windows on: August 25, 2014, 10:00:16 AM
It's not really windows but it works on windows: there are some online QR code scanners, for the web, such as http://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx
679  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Coin-Alert for Bitcoin on: August 25, 2014, 09:58:10 AM
The program looks good, but is MtGox still running?  Huh
You could add the summation of the buy, sell orders of all exchanges.
680  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Saudi Prince carjacked, Robbed of $335k in Paris on: August 24, 2014, 12:00:43 AM
Maybe lose the car just feels like losing a pencil while in the class for him.
I bet, He would buy new car with the price doubled
One prince spend $20 million for three days of fun at Disneyland.  So 335$k would be an hour of fun.. but I am not certain he has this amount of money  Smiley
