@Cloudbet_victim - Players are unable to create accounts from IP addresses that originate from territories we are restricted in - UK, USA, HK, and Singapore.

The territory restrictions are also clearly stated in our T&Cs.

Your bets were cancelled because we are unable to allow players to bet from those locations.

Your initial deposit has been refunded and your account closed, and as such there is no further action to be taken in this situation.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

@Cloudbet_victim - Thank you for finally providing the information required to investigate the issue for you. I've been in contact with our support teams and can now offer some information on the situation.

During your security checks it was discovered that you are from a country that we clearly state we are unable to offer our services to, and had been using a VPN to bypass the restrictions in place at Cloudbet. Your account was locked while this was verified, after which you were contacted via email (Saturday 24th November) and told that the account had been unlocked and you were allowed to withdraw your remaining funds before the account is permanently closed.

The bets were cancelled when this was detected as we can't allow people from those territories to gamble with us. This was done before the results were in, and you were refunded your stake.

As mentioned by manosqq above, many bitcoin casino and sportsbooks would take the use of VPN as a breach of T&Cs and use it as an excuse to confiscate player's funds. I believe our approach is more player friendly.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
764  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet - SCAM - 30BTC being stolen on: November 27, 2018, 04:28:40 PM
Cloudbet_victim - It’s now been over 24 hours since I first asked for your account name so that we could investigate this issue. Even though you have been unwilling to provide details our Support Team have invested significant time trying to understand your claim, but we can find no evidence to support the timeline laid out in your scam accusation. I will leave it to the community to conclude what that implies.

The thing I’d like to stress here is that there are always two sides to every story. I’ll admit that over the years Cloudbet hasn’t always been perfect when it comes to customer support, but we are taking the time to invest heavily in this area in order to improve the quality and speed of our responses.

It’s interesting that many of the accounts that were so quick to respond in support of the accusation have now gone silent, but I suppose that’s to be expected.

Lastly, I’d like to personally thank the members who were calling for evidence and transparency instead of immediately reaching for the pitchforks.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Can you change the scores before the kick off? I might adjust them after the Champions League games.

Ideally I'd prefer players to post a new set of predictions rather than editing a previous post (just in case people start trying to edit after the games are finished)

I'll just take the most recent post as your entry  Smiley

Thanks,

Apologies to last week's winners, there was a slight delay on the free spin delivery from yesterday as I made a mistake when issuing them (still getting used to the tool)  Roll Eyes

They should be waiting in your accounts now - Good luck on the reels of steel!

Morning all, and welcome to the overnight entries!

The quality here seems to be a little bit higher than Twitter, where most people seem to be reviewing goods and services instead of fiat currency  Wink

While you wait for Monday's announcement on the winners, we have a few other free competitions that might tickle your fancy!

Our Super 6 soccer predictor is in it's 7th week, but there's still plenty to play for on the weekly and overall prize boards!

And there's also our weekly sponsored raffle going on with Krogoth in the 'collectibles' section of the forums - entry is free and there's a pre-loaded Denarium bitcoin up for grabs!

Have a great day!  Grin

@Cloudbet_victim - I have now asked multiple times for your account details, which you seem reluctant to provide (privately or otherwise). I’m offering to try and help resolve this situation for you, but I can only do that if you give me something to work with.

Cloudbet stole 1 BTC of me a while ago. Ronnie keeps promising things but never delivers.

@CryptoBrainy - I've just checked and the last correspondence we had was on 10th September and involved you reporting problems with delayed withdrawals in the past (that were paid), which I apologised for and discussed the ways in which we are looking to improve our service to cut out the delays in the future.

As far as I am aware all of your withdrawals were issued after the delays, so if you have 1 BTC outstanding then please PM me your Cloudbet nickname and I'll investigate ASAP.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet

Entries are now open for this week's games, good luck everyone!  Wink

@Cloudbet_Victim - Can you please let me know your Cloudbet nickname so I can investigate?

I've spoken to our support teams are there don't appear to be any large BTC withdrawals pending, and I can't seem to find any players with 25 BTC deposits over the last 4 weeks (it's possible it was done in smaller increments?)

Edit: It's now 4:00pm UTC and still awaiting account details so I can investigate this issue for you. There's been some serious scam accusations and I would very much like to get to the bottom of this ASAP. Please can you send over your nickname or registered email address (via PM if you prefer).

Thanks,

It's nice to be able to spread some happiness with all the crypto FUD surrounding the BTC dip this weekend!  Wink

So what are you waiting for? Smiley

I wanted to see what other funny reviews you have gathered so far.
But you didn't post a link. So I thought I start from your blog. The first article is about this. I felt lucky, I clicked and... 404 page  Cheesy
I know it's only a tiny detail and the idea overall is good and funny. So.. just fix it Wink

Haha you caught our blog team while they were updating the blog with a link to this page, it should be back up now!

I'll tell them they have to be quicker next time  Wink

Good luck with the contest!
779  Economy / Games and rounds / 💰Write a spoof review of traditional money to win Bitcoin with Cloudbet! 💰 on: November 26, 2018, 10:48:05 AM

Good morning all!

As we warm our hands over the charred remains of another Walmart decimated in the wake of black Friday, we gather together in another pagan celebration of rampant consumerism - Cyber Monday!

For those not in the know, Cyber Monday came about when a bunch of big corporation executives looked around and asked themselves: “Is there really enough days dedicated to buying stuff we don’t need?” So in the spirit of global capitalism, we thought it was high time that users of fiat currency became more aware of the flaws in their false idol - we’d hate for anyone to be disappointed with the dollars, pounds or yen in their wallets Wink

We want you to review your local fiat currency! Let us know your star rating, and how satisfied you are with the value, function, and applications available with fiat. Here's an example to get those creative juices flowing:

Satoshi Nakamoto
* (1 Star)
US Dollars
Tried it a couple of times and the results were disappointing. Updates were uncalled for and made the product worse.
Plus, terrible customer support from the manufacturer. You're better off making your own! Stay Away!

You can be as creative as you want and review any element of fiat currency in text or image format. Banks, credit cards, Zimbabwean dollars. You name it, we want to know if it’s worthy of a five star review or a one star demolition. Would you use it again? Has it let you down while travelling? Maybe it’s not worked as advertised (it’s not a bug, it’s a ‘feature’!) Wink

On the 4th December we’re going to be picking our favourites. The most hilarious, cutting and clever review will win a tasty 0.043 BTC, with 4 runners up claiming 0.017 BTC each.

We’ll also be picking 10 ‘special mentions’, who will receive a commemorative physical bitcoin that we’ll post to you. Because capitalism be damned.

Oh what, you thought we were done?

All entries will go into a raffle to win 0.029 BTC! The time of your entry is your ticket, which will be displayed on a public spreadsheet. Whoever’s entry time matches the last two digits on the hash of the first block mined after 10:00AM UTC on 5th December will win.

So what are you waiting for? Submit your entry below! Smiley

Morning all,

First of all, apologies for the slow response - we don't have 24/7 coverage on BitcoinTalk so I've just got back to the office and seen all the threads and posts. I'm trying to catch up on the situation above now, but I'd like to firstly assure everyone that we are not 'disappearing' and the website downtime this morning was just for routine updates.

@Cloudbet_victim - I'm really sorry for the delay you have experienced with your withdrawal. Please let me assure you that we are not in the business of scamming bitcoin from our players - no company would last 5 years in a niche industry with those kind of practices.

I'm contacting our support teams at the moment to get an understanding of the situation and will get back to you as soon as possible with a response. If you could please PM me your Cloudbet nickname in the meantime it will help speed things up while tracking down any previous correspondence.

Thanks,

Ronnie @ Cloudbet
