761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 22, 2023, 05:30:20 PM
This is the role of media in destroying a country's image just because of any incident that happened in that particular country. Same thing happens with Pakistan all the time , bad media coverage and wrong reporting unfact exaggeration makes any country an insecure country to live in .
All countries have their good and bad points and I am sure mexico is not just about drug cartels or criminals there will be  uch more than that and for fifa fans there will be much more to explore and experience.

I am from Pakistan and we have been through this situation where we were denied hosting any international cricket match for 10 years because there was a terrorist attack on the Srilanka team in our country.
That is now history but the rival countries always hesitate to visit our country and give excuses of that event. This is not right as the security situation is improved over time.
I hope Mexico does not face the same unjustice situation which we have been facing for the last many years.
This same thing happens in India also that made FIFA to ban India n football federation from participating in football and other similar sports because of what had ensue many years ago. I don't blame anyone for this but this most time could be as a result of insecurity that lead to the rampage causing a serious scene that had lead to sanctions.

Oh, I did not know that Fifa Ban Indian football too. They also banned our country, not for security reasons but because they believe that our offices were controlled by third-party. Later on in 2022, this ban was lifted and we had a sign of relief.
More details:- FIFA lifts suspension of Pakistan Football Federation

By the way, when we see the progress of our neighboring countries like Saudia Arab, Qatar, Japan, Korea, Iran, etc, we see that both Pakistan and India are left behind in this race of become a strong football nation.

I think what happened to India is somehow related to FIFA's ban to Pakistan because the reasons of the council is because they are causing some doubts to the Football Federation because of the influence of some 3rd party. We all know that FIFA just wanted a clean and fair World Cup match and I know they won't be imposing some heavy restrictions if they haven't had some basis in the first place but if India will show some improvements, maybe they can participate in the upcoming World Cup.
762  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 22, 2023, 03:14:10 PM
Sacramento Kings are 3rd in Western Conference! Just let it sink in guys because this is a real achievement from a small team that have been working hard in silence for all this years and finally they are having a great season. This small club really deserves more as we see people are back in the court when team is playing and if we take a look 2 years ago on Sacramento games , we will have saw empty seats over empty seats but it's not the case anymore.

Even if they lost last night , they still scored 127 points without having a great defense game because hey , no one is playing defense anymore this season ...

There are still teams who played good defense. What is your basis for saying that no team is playing defense this season?

You can check on the stats. https://www.nba.com/stats/teams/defense

The scores are just high because teams nowadays love to shoot 3 points, unlike the teams in 90's where games are very physical and they want to drive the ball more and less attempts in 3 points area.

I guess it's because the 3-pointer was introduced late and basketball players back at that date are more used to do some physical movements towards other players as they are more accustomed driving the ball towards the ring. Now I know that the NBA introduced the 3-pointer in early 1980's but the thing is, that wasn't implemented widely and colleges are also experimenting about it.

Anyway, back to the topic. Sacramento Kings totally deserves all the credit for achieving the 3rd seed because they worked hard for it as it wasn't an overnight success for the whole team.
763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 22, 2023, 02:44:57 PM
Well, unforeseen things happen, and in fact that's what happened with the Jazz vs Nets game.
I confess I wasn't expecting this result... But Kyrie Irving was on fire, and practically carried the Nets to victory!

Indeed mate, I even bet in favor of the Utah Jazz because somehow I know they are much more consistent and will take advantage of the Brooklyn Nets while they are still undermanned. Unfortunately, Kyrie gave an unexpected performance and just like you've said, he practically carried the team towards a W.

I guess majority here didn't see Irving will have a good game against the Jazz, we have been waiting for him to explode in the absence of Durant, but so far none of that happen until last night, so we are all wrong.

What can you say about Tatum not playing today against the Raptors?

Will this be a trap? Although Celtics is still the favorite in this game.

I don't know about you guys but I did not bet in this specific game purposedly, it's not that I do not trust the Celtics to defeat the Raptors, what I'm thinking is can they manage and cover the handicap because they are still favorite in the bookies list despite Tatum's absence and it turns out the same way I expected, they won but the spread wasn't covered. Raptors led the game but eventually, Celtics managed to rally and took the helm until the end.

764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 22, 2023, 02:20:14 PM
And it could he could larger and boost his psychology that he can defeat him because the fight is going to be in his country, so he has what we call homecourt advantage but not sure if this is true in boxing. So yeah, we will see if he has what it takes, I mean accepting it shows that he has big balls already, but facing him in the ring could be different for Yarde when he taste the first punch of Beterbiev.

Homecourt advantage, so is the home crowd, might really be an advantage but that was all useless if a boxer is really up against a tough opponent.

Artur Beterbiev is not new to pressure and seems won't really be affected much fighting against a crowd.

Yarde on the other hand should take advantage of any advantages in this fight. A boost of morale because of the crowd is a big help but that is nothing if he can't perform well in the actual fight.

It will be a struggle for Yarde finding that advantage because I'm sure that the 3-belt champion, Beterbiev, won't show any weakness in this fight that will make Yarde's journey much easier. I know that Beterbiev's not that perfect despite of his perfect record but somehow it's hard to believe that Yarde can truly make a difference.

I'm just under the impression that Yarde is saying this stuff and that because he wanted to market the fight and he wanted to show in front of his people that he is not afraid facing a boxer that is touted like a monster but I really doubt that he can stand his ground.

True, that's all he can do right now, since the fight is his backyard, he needs his fans to attend and watch the fight. So he is hyping and trying to sell it to them obviously so that they will get a lot of money thru live gate splits and PPV numbers.

But in any case, Beterbiev is too good for Yarde in my opinion. There is a disparity as far as power goes, and so we all know that he will be in a very tough situation in front of his crowd and then losing via knockout, hehehe.

Well, we cannot really blame the man if he is speaking big words as if he can really do it and prove that he's not all words. At least he will garner a big amount of money after the fight even if he's going to lose at the end of the day, I'm sure that deep inside he knew that his chances aren't that good. Anyway, fight schedule is already approaching and I'm still waiting for other betting options to open as the current odds aren't that great for us regular bettors.
765  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 20, 2023, 09:31:43 PM
Get a job, at the very least, or add another source of income. If you don't have extra cash to risk on a highly volatile asset, you can't just buy bitcoin. In addition, exercise discipline in all financial decisions, just as you would in any other area of the market for investments. And more importantly, improve your security and privacy to protect your hard earned money.

That is how you stay in the long run.
You should have a stable income in the first place if you wish to invest and stay long term with bitcoin knowing bitcoin will never guarantee as a source of living. And it’s price will always be unpredictable so if you are just here for quick profits, I should say that it won’t work in bitcoin. Also, investing in bitcoin also has a high risk and if you are not ready to lose, it’s best not to invest in bitcoin and focus on real in demand businesses offline.
766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Curiosity on Bitcoin brought me to this amazing platform on: January 20, 2023, 08:43:50 PM
I love the integrity of this platform and it makes one feels very safe here knowing how fraud has increased all over the World.

Well guess what dude — Bitcointalk is just as unsafe as most community platforms on the world wide web. Same with other social platforms, you just need to ignore(or better yet, report) the spam/scams and focus on the good topics/conversations.
Well, what do you expect? This is a forum so you have to focus more on quality posts and make valuable contributions in the forum than to just spam all over the forum and expect to get ban later on. However, if you are here to learn and gain, I assure you that you are in a right track but never expect to gain quick profits as everything here requires knowledge and skills for you to be profitable later on.
767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's a shame people still falling for this on: January 20, 2023, 07:18:38 PM
It is safer to ignore all of these strangers who send links and other things. Already we are already 2023 and these direct strategies for committing fraud are not giving up. More people are beginning to understand these online modus operations. In order to gain the trust of their intended victim, some con artists will first attempt to speak casually. However, it is also carefully observing and waiting for the right moment to strike.
Just avoid all of them, and your funds will never be in danger. Because let’s admit it, scammers/ fraudsters are only here for our money so we should always be mindful of our finances. Otherwise, they will start to attack us once they see us as weak and easily taken advantage, that will make them pursue their bad plans for us and eventually we fall as their victims.
768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Two Types Of Traders - My Personal Classification on: January 20, 2023, 06:45:15 PM
What you pretty much described is a trader, and a non-trader; because I really wouldn't call the second classification by your description a "trader" — what you've described in the second part is pretty much just a gambler.
I agree with this. You wouldn’t be a trader if you only trade unknowingly and you rely on random guesses which I think is mostly the case of gambling. Once you become a trader, you already have that knowledge and working strategies that will make you successful in your trades, otherwise you will fall gambling in all your trades and expect more constant losses than gains. Trading is good and profitable, but if you are not aware of what you are doing, then better just stay away from trading.
769  Economy / Economics / Re: We are not out of the woods yet on: January 19, 2023, 10:57:54 PM
Next few weeks should decide in what direction Bitcoin will go , but for now , we are still in a full bear market and the trap has been set with Bitcoin hitting 20k$ again. It could be an accumulate phase , which I kinda doubt to be honest , as the volume is still low , or it could be a distribution phase and then another drop in price because we can see clearly that Bitcoin for now cannot surpass the 20k$ range.
Clearly bitcoin is still struggling on its own price and we won’t expect for a price surge as the market stays bearish up to these days. That is why bitcoin accumulation is still a good thing these days since we can’t expect fast reversal seeing that there are still no new positive updates that hit the market. If there are any, those were also insignificant to the market.
770  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 19, 2023, 09:53:39 PM

To make a living, we must work. In uncertain days like now facing the global economic downturn, a stable job with high income becomes a scarcity. A side job or business seems like more necessary than ever, which can minimize the risks of losing your current job, ending up pennyless. However, a side job/business also takes time and efforts and can never be attained whenever we need it. What did you do or will you do in order to ensure your finanical stability despite all unfavorable circumstances ?
Well, it is not easy to get financial stability, especially during the current economic crisis caused by the pandemic and war. I have never felt financially stable even though my income is increasing year by year. Currently, I have just worked 2 jobs and added investment, but to be honest, I have never found myself having a stable income before.
You will never experience financial stability if you always stick to your old mindset regardless of how many jobs you earned right now. Because it’s not literally that once you attain bigger income, you will also set higher standards in living. Because if you do it that way, you will never prosper, but will always remain struggling when it comes to money matters. Instead, live simply and save your extra money so you will attain financial stability in the future.
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: January 18, 2023, 09:56:37 PM
I must say that I'm now a Bitcoin addict and an ardent fan/supporter of Satoshi Nakamoto and the good initiative Bitcoin technology has brought to the world. But there are these questions that have been ringing in my head day and night as I continue to be curious about this man/men that brought this revolution to the financial space.

I would like people to furnish me with their views even though I personally believe that he would have been haunted by the world governments at the initial stage.

What could have been his fate if he made himself known from the beginning? And later after Bitcoin is recognized?
Definitely, he is putting himself in danger. Despite of the acknowledgement and well praises from the bitcoin enthusiasts, the government officials will also be eyeing on him and if they see that Satoshi should be given proper sanction because of bitcoin, then he might stay the rest of his lives being imprisoned. For us, Satoshi is a hero, but for the people from authorities, he’s a threat.
772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2023 betting. on: January 17, 2023, 05:58:01 PM
No I haven't also see any casino in the forum that has such bet. Miss universe will not be an interesting bet to me as I love gambling on sportbets. I don't think in my country such bet exists,I have only heard of some people talking about it when I was in a casino recently.

Though, this bet will attract more of ladies than men, this makes most casino don't think about adding it in their casinos, because women don't really bet. It is a lovely beauty pageant and the crypto casinos are not welcoming it.
although there are bets like this, unfortunately not many women like to gamble and bet on these contests, especially in crypto casinos of course it will be difficult to find them , I think it is also a bad idea to add bets like this in crypto casinos

It's totally not that bad because Miss Universe betting lines aren't that open frequently as this pageantry only happens annually but yes, women are more attracted to this kind of stuff and not men, so it's already expected that the betting lines won't garner that much attention from the frequent gamblers who are almost betting on a daily basis as they don't know whom to bet or where to find such predictions.
773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 17, 2023, 05:16:16 PM
Here's what Yarde has to say about the fight, he wanted to go for a knock out:

Quote
"Fact. That is what I'm trying to say. I don't think it is to do with anyone but myself. I had a mindset when I started boxing and, the second I tried to change it or listen to people asking if I could go 12 rounds, I went away from what I knew.

"I know why the Kovalev fight didn't go my way, I know why the fight didn't go my way in the amateurs, I know why they gave the decision to Lyndon Arthur in the first fight.

"When all these things happened, it was when I went against my natural instinct and what I said I was going to do from the beginning.

https://www.boxingscene.com/yarde-looking-points-beterbiev-fight-he-wants-ko--171850

So meaning he want's to go 100% and look for a knockout in this fight. He doesn't want to go full 12 rounds because he knows he might get the short end of the deal again just like in his amateur fights and some on the professional ranks.

Let's see if he has want it takes to knockout the Russian here, no one has done it before though, just saying. So it will be very different for Yarde to do that unless he hurt Beterbiev very hard and then he goes for that knockout.

Well, he said it himself and provide facts indeed. The Kovalev fight didn't go his way and his amateur fights didn't go his way as well, so, the big question here is, what makes him think that defying a Russian-Canadian monster will go into his way? And why this time when he faced a much weaker opponent but still fate didn't go his way? Things are getting funnier while the fight date is getting nearer and nearer.
774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 16, 2023, 06:21:39 PM
I didn't parlay with the Lakers, but it could have been perfect for me if I also decided to take the plus side and not just the ML, like I did with OKC on it's games against the Nets.

Anyhow, I will take that win, Lol, they are the underdog. But you know how OKC is specially SGA and Josh Giddey as well as they load the Thunder with 28 points a piece. We didn't saw the Bulls winning against the Warriors as well, how can you stop Vucevic though? 42 points for the big guy.

Surely nobody expected that the underdogs will defeat the Warriors and the Nets, I mean the Nets are somehow given to struggle a bit. But the Warriors though, their line-up are complete but nobody stepped up and Wiggins didn't exploded either, while Poole is back to being a normal player. While the Irving of the Nets is unexpected and only contributed below 20 points.

Warriors got a game again in a couple hours from now against the Wizards, I know they aren't that good at road but I couldn't possibly believe that they will agree to get a back-to-back defeat while Curry is onboard.

Anyway, I'll just bet during live games because some tip-off are changing last minute. Good luck guys!
775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: January 16, 2023, 04:30:17 PM
As per Bob Arum, they already have a date on this fight, May 20, the only sticking point is where the fight is going to be held. They are are looking at 3 possible venues, New York, Las Vegas or even Middle East. But we will have to see, it seems that Bob Arum is trying to maximized the potential profit live gate of this fight. Those 3 potential venues are great in my opinion, they just have to look at the schedule so that it won't collide on other big sporting events like in New York wherein there are a lot also like the Knicks, game or Rangers, so we will have to see. But the good news is that this fight is in the bag.

Yeah, good to hear that this fight is in the bag already and reportedly it will be held in the garden, not Vegas which i think a good venue for this massive fight for this division but they have a good reason if they pursue this one in New York.

Haney is a Muslim, and if I'm not mistaken, Ramadan will take place March 22 and will end April 21.

I just knew this one from you, thanks for this. One month of preparation will be okay i think (after the Ramadan) for a boxer like Haney.

Quote
Devin Haney vs Vasyl Lomachenko reportedly planned for May 20 as American will defend undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO world titles against former lightweight king

I also like New York though, it's one of the best city to held a boxing fight as big as this one. Although Vegas is the gambling capital and for sure it will bring a lot of money for the casinos if it held there, so win-win for them. But in the stand point of PPV or live gates, might be better if it is in MSG.

I think in the Kambosos fight, Haney already trained during the Ramadan, so this is not the first time for him to do that.

He is used to it so I don't see it being a big issue on his side.

For sure the organizers had already done some thorough thoughts about this one like where to hold the Loma-Haney fight and agreed that the fight will be in Madison Square Garden in New York. Not sure why they haven't pursued a Vegas fight but I'm thinking that maybe the specific day where they would like it to host the bout is already booked and reserved for some occasion. One thing is for sure, there's a lot of fans out there who are glad that this fight has materialized because there's a rumor in the past that Haney might face Stevenson instead.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Miss Universe 2023 betting. on: January 16, 2023, 03:12:47 PM
Hi guys, Miss universe 2023 will be tomorrow in my timezone. I'd like to ask if you know what bookies are offering the betting odds.

I have already searched from all the bookies I'm using but no betting odds are offered.

Let met know, and what's your prediction? maybe I can follow.

Wait a minute, does this really exist? i really don't know for this. and how do we know which contestants are the potential, the best, and the most qualified. how do we do the betting, are there any odds provided by the dealer. I don't think everything can be used as a bet, unless you are a friend of yours betting on Miss Universe 2023.

To be honest, I don't really know much about this kind of betting. whether this kind of betting, will work in the gambling market. I'm sure not, but it's possible that there are people who are interested in betting on Miss universe 2023.
So, I can't really say much about this, let alone predict it. by the way, what category does this kind of gambling fall into. throughout my experience betting on sportsbooks, I just found out that there is a Miss universe 2023 bet.

Fortunately, betting of the Miss Universe 2023 indeed exists and whether you believe me or not, I'm also as flabbergasted as you are right now when I knew this thing because haven't expected nor thought about it as well. As far as I know, Oscar Winners and nominees are also becoming popular in some betting platforms too, although, Ms. Universe betting options are not really present in most platforms as gamblers aren't that really inclined to bet because you need to do some extensive research to know which candidate got more chances.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 16, 2023, 02:49:25 PM
Looks good on paper. That would be Dame + AD + Lebron. Dame is the outside shooter that the Lakers need. He would complement very well how AD and Lebron play. The only problem I see here is that these 3 will eat a big chunk of their salary cap. They will have the same problem that they have now. There is no budget left to get good role players that they need to support these 3. They will end up getting aging veterans to fill up their roster. But knowing the Lakers, if given the chance, they will push through in getting these trio together.

LeBron, Davis, and Dame on the same team sounds great, but I don't think it's possible since Dame has a huge contract with the Blazers until the end of the 25/26 season, including a player option until the end of the 26/27 season. I mean, there's no way the Blazers would trade him for nothing. So if the Lakers really want to get him, they will have to include both Davis and half the team in the trade.

I did laugh on this one, but it's true! The Blazers only chance right now is Dame and a handful of players in the team, other than that, I don't also see any chance that they will free him that easily without any good trade package in return. It's just like the Nets situation last off-season; they haven't freed Kevin Durant because they can't find any good package that can match the funds that they poured to Durant.
778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 16, 2023, 01:53:14 PM
There's a news where Ra'eese Aleem calling out Naoya Inoue to fight with him, he was won WBA interim belt at 2021 and currently become the top 6 boxer in super bantamweight boxer. If it's happen, I think there's no way Casimero can fight with Inoue since he's not even on top 10.

Aleem is really confident enough and seems like many articles are discuss about possible fight between him and Inoue.

"I would love to be the first man to hand Naoya Inoue his first loss," said Aleem. "I believe Inoue is a true champion, one who is willing to take on all comers, unlike some of the champions in my division currently. He is regarded as one of the best fighters of his era, and I truly see myself as the man to dethrone him."

This got a chance because it's like hitting two birds at once, and Bob Arum might favor this scenario because if Inoue will fight Aleem who got the WBA interim belt and it turns out good, Inoue will now have the choice to pick and fight either of the two current champions as he will be named as the WBA interim champion to fight Murodjon and the WBO super-champion to fight Fulton.
779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 16, 2023, 01:30:06 PM
Looking at the votes ? Artur seems to be the dominant in this fight but looking at their stats? I'm not sure there are something special when they both have that long list of winning and also via knockout .

so I assume that this would be fairly judged and I don't wanna give my votes to anyone but Draw lol. because I am not interested in betting in this match but I will watch the replay .

Not seems because Artur Beterbiev has always been dominant throughout his fights and based in stats, he's the one who got the prettier record as aside from being an undefeated, he also got a 100% KO rate which makes him the KO specialist among all KO specialist in the boxing industry right now. Not to underestimate Yarde because I know he's a decent boxer who got a good record too but against Beterbiev? I doubt he can make a difference. And don't worry, I'm quite positive that this fight will be fair and square.
fair point mate , But what I do believe is that as long as the fight still not happening each boxer has the chance to improve and find the weakness of opponent .
and yes have just watch Artur's fights last night and it is impressive wins so there is a  big possibilities that he will dominate this fight and put Yarde on the ground .

Well, yes, the respective camps won't surely waste some of their precious times because every minute counts as they also know that the other camp is also doing everything they can to prove a point and to find such weakness to improve their boxer's chances to win the said bout. Already excited to see this fight soon and to see if Yarde can really prove what he is trying to say all this time.
780  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: January 13, 2023, 08:58:44 PM
1.   Psychological – Trading is inherently risky; futures traders should be aware that no trade has a guaranteed outcome. When you put a trade, you are correspondingly accepting the risk but that’s where the problem comes in. All of the traders are taking the risk but are they accepting that the trade has a non-guaranteed outcome? The answer is No. Consistent traders are aware that there is no sure profit or magic in trading. They embrace the risk where if they lose, it is okay for them because they know that there is no guaranteed outcome.
I know why I lost some time ago- greed that made me increase the size of my position beyond my capacity.
The thing was I understood that I wasn't supposed to over increase my size and position. I couldn't control the risk with the position size, and I did lost a huge chunk of my portfolio.

Well, if you act like that, then losing will always be certain. It’s very unhealthy to trade motivated with greed since that will not help you to come up with smart decisions. Instead, once you lose in your trade, your emotions will burst out too leading into a very unhealthy position that will eventually make you a loser in the end.
