841  Other / Meta / Re: Interface of the forum, CSS messed up? on: October 17, 2022, 09:17:32 AM
Does not happen to me neither.

Sometimes I cannot visit other websites as well like Reddit where even posts do not even load properly, but the loading icon animation in the tab stopped. It all turned out to be just my ISP after all and not my own browser.

Edit 1: Foxpup mentioned Cloudflare's blocking images, so that could possibly be the reason as well.
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you choose cryptocurrency as full time job? on: October 16, 2022, 04:24:55 PM

It is not really something that you should rely on solely. If you're going truly for an online work, freelancing is the way to go though the hardest part of that is trying to market yourself out and how would you stand out over your competitors. It is like making a business as well but it is all about offering your services to clients.
It is also a nice way to get a connection for further opportunities in the future.

It is still better to consult your local area for jobs though as freelancing is globally competitive.
843  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why newbies get banned on: October 16, 2022, 03:40:13 PM

It has some sort of.....connection to it since there would be "lower forum ranking users" that are desperate to earn money from the forum so they do not mind to just do ban evasion all over again in which I hope that they really learn their lessons for good after they got caught from that offense.

There sure are really users that are really trying so hard to milk a cent from bounties meanwhile there are plenty of "better" opportunities outside the forum waiting for them. I feel like bounties has caused some users to be "tunnel-vision". They could have possibly earn way more than they could possibly think, but meh they were too focused spamming social media reports.

Aren't those kind of office jobs as well? Making videos inside a Creative Team in a company?
Typing stuffs throughout the whole day like sort of data entry jobs or related. If that is really what you're asking, then definitely it can be a full time job.

Maybe your company is trying out to build their own crypto coin and they would need a lot of crypto enthusiast onboard to do some related stuffs for them. It is still the usual corporate office job, just a different vision and goal if you would ask me.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: determine a good project on: October 15, 2022, 07:32:15 PM
~
Chances are they are either meme or just hyped project. No utility means no utility. If a project does not have a reason to exist in the first place then it should not even attempt to push through bear market. It's definitely useless and just a waste of time for these business owners.
People think that hyped projects tend to last longer than these coins that have pure utility.
Remember that investors always has their own reason from pulling out their investment one day.
846  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every email is a scammer's target, open only if you are expecting on: October 14, 2022, 08:57:46 PM
~
Not anything new, OP. I hope this was the last time that you ever saw these kinds of emails.
People have been reporting this as well in Telegram where a random guy would send you his/her recovery phrase. Just ignore it and don't interact with the email as they would confirm that there's a legitimate and an active user behind the email.

In case you have registered the said email in multiple site, maybe give "Have I been Pawned" a check. It will check if your email is involved in a site breach.

While I hope you applied the advices replied by other members in here, may I ask on why so desperate into ranking up to Legendary? You could still use the forum even if you are in "Member" rank.

No one is going to humiliate you because of your forum rank though there are some limitations that you would encounter like some boards that you would not be able to post.
848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Back To Promoting Doge as a Payment Method for New Cologne on: October 13, 2022, 10:41:24 PM
Bruh, I thought we were already over with Elon Musk after all of his crypto tweets. I only read in the news about his tweet pertaining that he is selling perfume to buy Twitter. I never expected that Doge would be even involved in this stuff though I would not be surprised that he would still try to tweet meme coins all over again, maybe surprised that people are still buying his tweets as an advice just because he was mentioning it in his Twitter page.

This is why I really steer clear away from any celebrities when they mention cryptos, lol.
849  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Account Deletion on: October 13, 2022, 10:36:18 PM
~
Considering that OP was already registered in here 3 years ago, I guess it is just another sudden change of mind and no more other reasons.

Surely OP has been inactive in here since that year and going back thinking that deletion of account is possible in here like Reddit and other usual social media sites you know.
850  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 13, 2022, 04:46:04 PM
~
There are some people that are literally broke, but are not really lazy. Just unlucky and there is no point blaming those kinds. Due to how horrendous that person's economy is, there's nothing s/he could do about it but to keep trying and take any jobs available.
It does not stop a person to keep looking for another opportunities though while being in a job that exactly pays bills and sates the needs.
This is why there are also some people trying to freelance. They are trying to look for opportunities from a developing country to at least sell their skills.
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone who buys Coins from the Top50 will stay poor on: October 13, 2022, 04:39:08 PM

Though yeah this could be a "way" for them to promote their coin, but this is the weakest strategy to promote such coin. If you are going to talk about your project in the OP, at least make it direct to the title at least and not the clickbait way.
If I was a newbie to investing in crypto and I realized I was being brought to a "clickbait" thread then I would not definitely buy that coin. It just implies that their marketing strategy is really poor.
I already encountered plenty of clickbaits in Youtube so....
852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone who buys Coins from the Top50 will stay poor on: October 12, 2022, 09:35:48 PM
The entire 3 posts made by the OP should be enough to clarify that s/he is just shilling for whatever project they are up to and no I am not entirely convinced.  Back then I traded LINK along with ADA and hearing that the coin is still like a mention these days just speaks for itself.

Coins are ranked for a reason so.....
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: October 12, 2022, 09:26:17 PM
~
I thought this already happened couple of months ago like few months after April but then I didn't realize it was not happening yet. Regardless yeah, it is just a meme coin anyway and nothing else more. though I would not be surprised in the first place these days. Along with NFTs, Doge and Shib became like the popular memes now and I just can't wrap around my head that people are willing to buy such meme coins in high amounts.

Ethereum would be a great candidate instead though if not Bitcoin.
854  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: plagiarism is usually frowned upon be warned on: October 12, 2022, 04:36:56 PM

OP, no offense. You're merit fishing.

There are gazillion threads in here that already mentioned something about "plagiarism". You mentioned already that you read up "information and content" in this platform, so why bother make another thread. What would be the next one? "Tips how to earn merits?" Roll Eyes
855  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why newbies get banned on: October 12, 2022, 04:31:32 PM

I just do not get it why there are number of newbies lately posting threads like this. I don't get the reason to overcomplicate such things that are just truly simple as it is. This is a forum that is all. Even in Facebook, you are not entirely needed to learn the whole system and heck I do not even know how their Marketplace system works as a whole. Cheesy

@OP I understand what you're trying to say, but there is no point of making threads like this. Surely you have been into school where people learn at their own pace and learn the rules as well to of course not get an offense possibly leading to expulsion which is equivalent of being banned in here.
856  Other / Off-topic / Re: Asking on behalf of a friend on: October 11, 2022, 11:31:39 PM

My personal rule is that I would try to always keep my money/crypto away from phones since I usually use them even without a second thought or even purpose. Regardless of how recent your Android OS is, I would personally just recommend you to instead use a hardware wallet as you even mentioned that it will be used for storing coins anyway only.

Not sure what region are you from, but hardware wallets should not be really hard to come by these days.
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I know Scam coins and token Through Whitepaper on: October 11, 2022, 04:24:32 PM
If every coin has a Whitepaper, that means both the scam coins and the legit coins has a Whitepaper. Then how can a beginner differentiate a scam coin and a legit coin with the Whitepaper?
Check the Github repo if it has a little to no activity. Article spinner exists, so the written stuffs in the WP might give little to no red flags. I would start as well in the LinkedIn profile of the devs and look up where they previously worked at and check the site of whatever company they were previously at and confirm if they really worked there before.
There are way more methods to look out for red flags other than the WP.
858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You only lose nothing if you hold BTC on: October 09, 2022, 04:42:45 PM
......the chances of bitcoin being successful for the long term is definitely not 100%.
Yeah this is the realistic view anyway. I am optimistic about Bitcoin being successful and would have a lot of users in the future, but not everyone is the same anyway.
We had seen plenty of hates already with Bitcoin and that might or might not affect other people's view on cryptocurrency depending on them.
People should still know what they're about to be involved with when they're into crypto. It is not your "walk in the park" kind of activity if you were even trading stocks.
859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I helped my dad bought some Bitcoin last night on: October 08, 2022, 11:41:31 PM

It's perfectly fine if he does not go through you if he is really into learning about how to buy bitcoins and how to sell them. Is your dad a long-term holder or would he sell some of it when the time is right? I would really love the reaction of your father when he finally sells some of his holdings. Not sure if you would be willing to update, but I just wanted to hear/read some of my fellow Filipinos about their experience in Bitcoin considering that its price here in our country is really high even if it is at around 19k as of writing this.

Props to you OP for following him up with the basics and not just "yeah this is Bitcoin".

Would love to grab some chicharon with a vinegar right now when you mentioned it, lol. Cheesy
860  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Too risky to leave BTC right now on: October 08, 2022, 07:46:45 PM

Please avoid making assumption just because other's people called it. There's no specific days in a week where you could be best buying or even selling Bitcoin and no, it won't make anyone feel better since expectations will come through and they would think that "oh Bitcoin would be around this price next week."

If you're a long-term holder or even a "hodler", you're going to be fine.
Source? My own experience since early 2017.
