1241  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have Paypal 2377$ want BTC or ETH on: September 08, 2018, 12:00:32 AM
He has one positive trust from a DT member and it is simply because the DT member acted as an escrow for a transaction that OP was involved in. I have no clue why you people think this makes them infallible, or why you believe that you should blindly trust the marketplace feedback system. It is long established that the user with Paypal funds sends their funds first, unless the person receiving the Paypal funds is untrustworthy or the sender is an established currency exchanger.

I would be fine with escrow, but I will not be sending my non-reversible payment method first. That makes absolutely no sense.
1242  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have Paypal 2377$ want BTC or ETH on: September 07, 2018, 06:40:18 PM
I'm going to assume that you are willing to break this down into chunks, or is that not the case? I would be interested in exchanging about $100 of your Paypal for my BTC. I'm going to assume that you're willing to send it first, since your method is reversible and BTC is not, is that a fair assumption?
1243  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Penny™ SILVER on: September 07, 2018, 05:54:10 PM
Perhaps it would be a good idea to do a raffle with some raffleception to get the ball rolling. I'm not sure if you would be open to throwing that bad boy up for another raffle, but I certainly would be interested in buying an extra ticket or two; especially if you throw up a raffleception or two as well. Unless the OP is wrong and the roll has already been sold, but I imagine you would have updated the thread to reflect that if it were the case.

It just feels strange to see (1) available. Let's get that into the hands of a collector, or I would happily accept it as a donation Wink

Have you considered selling the final roll at a discount for an easy sell?
1244  Other / Meta / Re: Most entertaining person on bitcointalk - POLL - 12 days - 3 votes per member on: September 07, 2018, 05:35:38 PM
I don't have 208 users accounts. In reality, I have no more than a couple dozen

I guess we know were those couple dozen votes came from then.    38 (9.6%)  Shocked
Please do not commit voter fraud to skew the vote, Mr. Bruno, Thank you in advance.

What's a Kidney Stone go for around here?
1245  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: One cent crypto coins on: September 07, 2018, 05:08:04 PM
I'd be willing to bet that if you analyze the coins as you've mentioned for utility, structural efficiency, some implemented concept(s) that solves an existing problem and found them to be around 1-cent, that these coins will go up significantly. Certainly more than 1-in-10 coins, of the type you've described, will go beyond $0.01 in value, so long as their supply doesn't experience hyper-inflation or something else that would decimate the usefulness of the coin. You'd have to have that 1 coin out of 10 go up at least 10x in value, assuming the other coins flop, for this to be considered successful. More likely though, the other coins will move with the market in a corollary manner and you can expect profit on multiple fronts.

I know you're not looking for spam about specific coins, but even an algorithm like x16R being adopted by a coin that is otherwise benign gives it a huge leg up on a majority of alt-coins (long-term). You could run your own personal LoyceV-style investment game, using your own money (if preferred), following your criteria (with the help of the community, if needed) and keep a diary of your progress and process in the form of a thread. I'd say this would be a profitable endeavor, without hesitation or any reasonable doubt.

Personally, I wouldn't put more than $100 into a 1-cent coin, but I wouldn't put anything less than $10-$25 that I actually had faith in.
1246  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Interest 4% ~ 8% month on: September 07, 2018, 04:51:04 PM
I think about the same time that users started posting their loan requests in disguised language in the "long-term offers" section, rather than the typical Sob-story in "Lending." This user is gaming the system successfully, what a sneaky boy. How will we ever conquer this evil-genius? We might as well just hand over our $1000 now and accept reality.

Although, that doesn't explain how they've gotten away with this :

Is it possible to ask loan BTC 0.02 with 1 month term.
Interest 5% ?

 Cool
1247  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Save the Bees will receive 0.0142478 BTC. on: September 07, 2018, 04:30:28 PM
It's not much but maybe one day it will be!

.014 or about $100 is nothing to scoff at, IMO. More people think to themselves "I should donate" or "That's a good cause" than ever contribute $1. The fact that we actually came together as a community and made anything happen is more positive than you seem to be giving it credit for. Obviously it won't single handedly save the bees, but the positive impact is not insignificant. I'm happy to have played a small part in developing the contribution and voicing my vote.

Thanks for posting the TXID and address for verification that the funds ended up where they were intended to, MJ. It may not have been where my vote went, but as I said earlier in the voting, every single one of these causes/organizations is worthy of the donation or my vote. I was going to be satisfied with the outcome of this vote regardless.

I've been pretty confused by the whole MJ/Spazzer Cross-Over on certain posts, payments and what not. I'll just continue to be confused and nod in agreement.
1248  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Sea Foods on: September 07, 2018, 02:36:06 AM
Are you able to ship Cray Fish that have not been ground up? As I said previously, I would definitely prefer Cray Fish to not be ground up. This is why I was asking about alternative means of preserving the freshness and the guarantees that would be provided in that regard.
1249  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Sea Foods on: September 06, 2018, 10:30:29 PM
We would proceed by either you or I taking out pick of escrow and then I send the escrow the BTC. Then you would send me the Cray Fish, and upon receiving the cray fish the escrow would send you the funds as long as the product received is fresh and weighs the correct amount. You said $225 for a bag, but did not specify how much it weighed or how much Cray fish would arrive. How much is in a $225 bag?

I am located in USA.

You also did not say that you were willing to use the above bitcointalk escrow, you said you would be willing to accept escrow and then pointed to your local bank.
1250  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Sea Foods on: September 06, 2018, 06:02:22 PM
The bank in your country is not a valid escrow. The only escrow(s) that would work would be chosen from this list : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276897.0 . They offer both parties protection to make sure the deal goes smoothly. If you don't have the funds to operate your business without us paying up-front then nobody will be interested. The way almost everyone operates around here is through those particular escrows and on the terms that funds will not be released to you until the goods have been received.

If you don't have money to purchase a bag of Cray fish, then why are you advertising that you are a company that sells/exports cray fish? This is just further proof of your incompetence.
1251  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Sea Foods on: September 06, 2018, 01:45:35 PM
You're unwilling to accept escrow, have multiple negative trust ratings on a Jr. Member account and want $225 plus unknown shipping, export and import charges. This sounds like a horrible deal. I don't know much about preserving freshness, but I don't understand why grinding up the fish would preserve freshness in any way. Also, I prefer my Cray Fish whole, not ground up, so I'm going to have to pass on this offer and suggest everyone else do the same until you're willing to accept escrow.
1252  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Sea Foods on: September 06, 2018, 01:08:57 PM
Good job answering one out of five questions, can you please answer the rest of the questions?

What are the shipping prices and what methods will be utilized to preserve the freshness of the fish?
Are you willing to accept escrow, with the terms that funds are not to be released until the product has been inspected and weighed?
Do you offer any product other than Cray fish? You say Sea Foods and only list one product.
Can I assume that your loan request was to begin this fishing company and that it was filled outside the forum?

I'm trying here, work with me.
1253  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Sea Foods on: September 06, 2018, 12:53:29 PM
I already let you know that I needed more information. You just brushed past every single question that I asked. Plus, you still haven't locked one of your duplicate threads so I can only assume that you are not serious about your business. Thank you for providing the timestamp on the fish, but can you please reply to the rest of my questions as they are serious inquiries. I am not interested in speaking through whatsapp and would prefer forum communication.
1254  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: September 06, 2018, 02:55:22 AM
Can I ask what caused the rule change, out of curiosity? I remember awhile back someone getting denied primarily due to the fact that they were exclusively active in Local boards.
1255  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Roller Coaster #2 on: September 05, 2018, 02:33:32 AM
I almost called for mutiny, because I was waiting for another post informing me about the current status of the portfolio. Then, I realized that you said you would simply be editing your previous post until the week is over, to avoid spamming your own thread. Thank you for remembering things better than I am able to. Altcoin prices are absolutely terrible right now, so with minimal luck we're looking at some impressive returns.

I am sitting here wishing I chose RavenCoin instead of DGB, though.
1256  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Should Bitcoin mining be legal in Venezuela? on: September 05, 2018, 02:08:34 AM
There are many nations and governments around the world that are not interested in the quality of life that is normal for their citizens. These bodies are mostly concerned about focusing their resources and people on endeavors that will make the government money. Bitcoin mining would simply take the economy out of the hands of the government, which was essentially the entire purpose of the "revolution" to begin with. The same reason they nationalized their oil industry is why they will not allow for Bitcoin Mining.

Bitcoin mining should be legal wherever you are in the world, but this is mostly a dream as authoritarians wish to control everything they are able to control. It would allow the people to be more in control of their economic destiny, but this is specifically against their current principals of law.
1257  Other / Meta / Re: Most entertaining person on bitcointalk - POLL - 12 days - 3 votes per member on: September 05, 2018, 02:02:15 AM
How are the values for your most recognized list calculated exactly? I don't know how I managed to pull #325, but I am interested in knowing what criteria are used when calculating the list, if possible. I looked around and didn't see any information regarding that, so apologies if I just missed it like a goof.
1258  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] 2014 Cryptoimperator 10,000 Doge - funded on: September 04, 2018, 11:42:00 PM
JanEmil already had posted a bid of .005 over an hour before jaska's .05 bid, so that's why I didn't assume it was meant to be .005. It could've been a double typo and potentially meant .006, but of course we can't manipulate their bid without their input or the veto from OP. So far, it reads .05 and I would presume it is left to OP to be the judge of the situation.

I'll shoot the bidder a PM to see if they want to Edit their post or clarify.
1259  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] 2014 Cryptoimperator 10,000 Doge - funded on: September 04, 2018, 11:33:57 PM
.05

I was really excited to bid on this until this user turned it up on all of us. I can't help but feel like that was a typo, but there is nothing that would've made sense that is close enough to that. Potentially they didn't realize all bids were to be in BTC.
Jaska, did you really mean to bid 0.05 BTC? OP, does jaska pass the "reputable bidder" requirement?
1260  Other / Meta / Re: Most entertaining person on bitcointalk - POLL - 12 days - 3 votes per member on: September 04, 2018, 07:17:38 PM
The neighborhood rascal has got better things to do IFKWIM.
Also, Codishmumu is in the list twice, not sure if that was on purpose because they're just that entertaining or a secret plan to rig the vote.
I didn't realize so many people found suchmoon funny, I've always found them to be more serious and witty; although, the conversations are always interesting, at least.
