1801  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of ShitPoster (Full Member or above only) [Got 2 Legendary] on: May 27, 2018, 01:01:05 PM
I like the new formatting, OP, it makes it much easier to read your thread. I know it takes a lot of work, and I've been overwhelmed by simple formatting in the past, but it certainly is worth it. Can I ask why certain usernames are bold? I would think that the merit abusers might be the better candidates to have their names written in bold, but you may already have a reasoning for this. Tables often are accompanies by legends.

Merit should have been implemented in Jan of 2017. Almost all the sr. and full member shitposters have registered during 2017.

Hindsight certainly is 20/20, isn't it?

Formatting certainly does get tedious, and once you've given it a try you can appreciate all of the effort that goes into certain threads being maintained. The way you formatted the start of your post is solid.

Oh, I originally may have misunderstood what you were saying, if you mean that we can have a second number then I will happily take 86 as well.

1805  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BOSS INCOME - HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE WITHOUT INVESTING on: May 26, 2018, 01:39:06 PM
Then feel free to send it over to my PMs and I will happily read through the method, give it a fair shake and then write a review based on how my experience went. I haven't received a PM from you yet with the method, so is there anything else that you need from me beforehand?
1806  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [DAILY FREE RAFFLE]JUST BECAUSE I AM STILL IN A GOOD MOOD 25.0 LITE COIN on: May 25, 2018, 05:54:25 PM
Awesome! I'm batting with a pretty solid average right now, I missed the first 15 or so giveaways by just a couple of minutes for each one. Now, I've won 2/2 drawings that I've been a part of. Do you need me to send you shipping information again or are you able to send them to the same place without resending the information?
1807  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Raffle] Samsara #63 9/16 Spots Remain on: May 25, 2018, 03:55:28 PM
I will take spot "b", unless of course the raffle doesn't fill up and you plan to cancel it. Was going to just send payment now, but since it might not go through there is no sense in taking up more space on the blockchain. If it makes or breaks the difference, I would happily grab an extra slot or two. Let me know if that's needed.
1808  Other / Meta / Re: Whats The Deal With All These NEW Threads Being Created by brand NEW members? on: May 25, 2018, 03:32:44 PM
All of them seem to be asking questions about something Bitcoin/Crypto related.
Let's ban everyone who is asking crypto related questions on bitcoin forum.

We haven't had a good witch-hunt in quite some time. We may be overdue.

Just create a board for new members. You know it will have to be done sometime, so the sooner the better.
I know that something like this is already working on Russian local  section where newbies can't create threads anywhere excapt newbie section. But tbh I don't think it could be appliable to the whole forum because some services are creating their accounts and have to start their threads asap (but btw allowing thread creation to copper member newbies might help here).

I don't think that this would work in any meaningful capacity. If we limited the newbies to a newbie board, then the bots would just continue to farm the way they do within the newbie board until one of their bots acquires the merit to break out of that board and into the rest of the forum. It wouldn't stop the bots, but it would simply change the way they operate; this isn't fruitful in my opinion. Any actions taken against them should be significant enough to remove the incentive for them to do what they are doing, else it will continue.

A whole thread about them probably isn't necessary.

Especially considering there is already threads such as this : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3488933.0 , which do provide examples, evidence and meaningful discussion surrounding the topic.
1809  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2 GPUs out of 5 not detected on: May 25, 2018, 03:27:25 PM
It sounds like the cards are not functioning properly, like I said before. If you tried plugging them into multiple systems that are able to run identical cards in the same slots, but these cards are unable to do anything then that would indicate that the cards are in need of repair. You can try running them on a new OS, but since you are in windows 10 are you able to see the GPUs under device manager? Since they are receiving power, and the fans are turning it is possible that the drivers are just not installed properly, but device manager should help us get a clearer picture of your situation.

Even turning off the PSU is not enough to prevent shocking the cards, even shocks that you are unable to physically feel, because of your threshold for "pain", are well above the amount necessary to kill computer components. Anti-Static bands, discharging your static electricity and making sure you have clean hands when you get inside your computer are a must. Were these cards working properly just a few days ago or have they always been giving you a tough time? What happened between when they were working and when they no longer were functioning as intended?
1810  Economy / Digital goods / Re: BOSS INCOME - HOW TO MAKE MONEY ONLINE WITHOUT INVESTING on: May 25, 2018, 03:22:26 PM
I would be extremely interested in receiving a copy in order to properly review your method/strategy. I would give it honest feedback, about I wouldn't make any assumptions about the method without trying it first. I'm a very open minded person, and if this method is able to earn money without any malicious action then I am entirely on-board. I imagine having a couple of high-ranking members give an in-depth review of your method would solidify it's place in the marketplace. Whether or not your method is to be trusted, I know it might seem silly, but a lot of people really need someone to try it first and give their honest opinion.
1811  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 2 GPUs out of 5 not detected on: May 25, 2018, 02:50:29 PM
Have you attempted to connect the GPUs one at a time to make sure they individually are functional? Are you able to place the 2 GPUs that are not functioning properly into another system to see if it is able to get them working? What OS are you running, and does the OS detect the GPUs at all?

It sounds like it would be the cards, maybe they died during a bad flash recently or got a good shock while you were placing them in without discharging your static electricity. If they are unable to work in a slot that other cards are working in, then it probably isn't the slot or the motherboard. The PSU should have enough juice.
1812  Other / Meta / Re: Whats The Deal With All These NEW Threads Being Created by brand NEW members? on: May 25, 2018, 02:42:35 PM
There was a thread some time ago where members were discussing the possibility of there being thousands, or more, bots running rampant around the forums. One can only guess at the purpose of these bots, probably just throwing out a net to see if they get any merit at this point. They believe they wider they cast their net, the more likely they are to bring in some resources, like merit or farming bounties.

I can't find the thread for some reason, but there was compelling evidence for a couple hundred accounts being connected that were all spamming at an alarming rate. The conclusion seemed to be that there is either a sweatshop of workers spamming away carelessly or bots have invaded our forum. The more economical and logical option, Ockham's razor, suggests it would be bots.

The best we can do is shut down the threads that are useless, watch for merit abuse and things of that nature. Mods have definitely stepped their game up lately, and merit has made the forum a better place in general. This type of behavior is in it's dying flails. I saw another forum advertising e-books that discuss coming to this forum and farming accounts to make money from bounties. I imagine someone took that to the extreme, or many people and this is what it looks like.
1813  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price manipulation? on: May 25, 2018, 02:31:00 PM
That's probably true, but this is not the altcoin discussion board and OP is specifically talking about the criminal probe from the US government which is attempting to investigate whether or not traders are criminally manipulating the price.
1814  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Need $10 in BTC ASAP (Payment via Paypal) on: May 25, 2018, 02:26:45 PM
I don't really have any interest in Paypal, but I have no problem helping you out with $10. My issue is how inactive you seem around here, but you've been around for years and it doesn't seem like enough money for you to ruin an account over. I have no way to verify the PGP right now, is anybody able to verify it? Not currently at a computer.  There is a 2016 staked PGP that you can cross-reference.

Would you be able to just simply pay me back the same amount of BTC that I send?
1815  Other / Archival / Re: Abuse of DT power by actmyname! on: May 25, 2018, 02:09:50 PM
digaran, buddy, just head here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;full and have a look at who has the people you do not believe should be on DT within their trust list. Contact these people either through one PM and have a conversation with them about why you believe they should remove these people from their list.

I can even make it easy for you

actmyname - Blazed
suchmoon - Blazed , dooglus
marlboroza - hilariousandco

Blazed - Tomatocage, Cyrus
dooglus - theymos, HostFat, dserrano5, tomatocage, Cyrus
hilariousandco - theymos

You can just go right up the chain or "hierarchy" and try to get everyone removed that disagrees with you. Let us know how successful you are, although your trust rating should be a solid indication.

So you're going to have to successfully convince three separate users to remove someone from their trust list. To my knowledge, that has never been accomplished before so you would have quite the marketing campaign for your lawyer service. You'll have to convince Blazed to remove two users from their trust list, and that might be harder than getting Blazed removed from DT. Maybe instead you could try getting Blazed, dooglus and hilariousandco removed from DT. I'm very curious which angle you plan to approach this from, but generally once you've made a big stink like this, even if you get your current ratings removed somebody will most likely replace them.

I'll give you that. Have a merit for the comedy value.

I've always said that he's got his moments. Gotten a few good laughs out of digaran, but I'm unsure how self-aware any of the comedy is, we might be giving him too much credit at this point.
1816  Other / Archival / Re: Abuse of power by suchmoon, who is responsible for him to be on DT? on: May 25, 2018, 01:53:19 PM
Especially considering the lack of willingness to even discuss trust ratings by those in DT, and the lack of consideration of verifiable facts and the opinion of the community of a whole of those in DT when handing out ratings.

I see the point you are making, but in this particular instance I don't see this being relevant. There certainly is no lack of willingness to discuss the ratings left on digaran. I don't believe anyone here to be lacking consideration for verifiable facts, besides digaran, and it seems like the general opinion of the community is that he's an untrustworthy troll. If the system is at fault for other problems, then that is to be discussed there; the grievances you claim in your post with the system and DT members are not applicable in this case. Unless, I'm missing something, in which case I'd love to hear it.
1817  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of ShitPoster (Full Member or above only) on: May 25, 2018, 01:46:46 PM
You should maintain this list and make little improvements here and there. There would be a lot of utility in a community compiled list of high-ranking shitposters. At the very least we could attempt to reform the users that are not acting maliciously through gentle suggestion. The users that have gone unseen by DT members that are acting maliciously can get tagged, bagged and snagged. The first suggestion that pops into my head would be placing their usernames somewhere within your OP. Creating a table might be useful, but simply adding the usernames attached would be helpful. I want an easy way to read through the list, especially once it becomes filled with more users. I've placed this thread on my Watchlist, will definitely poke my head in here if I come across anyone to suggest and it'll be interesting to see how it develops.
1818  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price manipulation? on: May 25, 2018, 01:39:47 PM
There's actually already over a dozen threads discussing this exact topic. If you are interested in a hot-topic relating to Bitcoin, usually you can utilize the Search function and find that you are almost never the first person to think of it.

See here -
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4227272.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4255005.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4212413.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4220591

The list goes on and on, but any one of these threads should do for your purpose of discussing investor's concerns regarding this topic. All I did was Search the title of your thread and these came up.
1819  Economy / Collectibles / Re: FREE DAILY RAFFLE UPDATE on: May 25, 2018, 01:25:24 PM
I'm sure nobody would particularly mind if you made the entry $1 or even less, it would certainly thwart the extremely desperate crowd (not sure how much that benefits any of us, though). Especially if you were donating the proceeds to an agreeable charity, who could complain?

I agree though, free is free and once you change that concept it really isn't a "Good mood Giveaway", it turns into an atypical raffle, which isn't necesarily worse, but it is different.

But as always in life there is always someone who ruins it for everyone else.

Some people can't handle not being given something once you put the word "Free" in front of it; they already think it belongs to them. Once they don't win, they believe that you've wronged them in some manner and it needs to be brought to justice. Then they'll nitpick your thread and continually report it until one of the mods at one point or another finds a reason to trash, lock or move your thread. At a certain point, moderators probably make things happen just to clean up their mod "to-do" list.

Would need to know ... why I was RATTED out to begin with  Roll Eyes

Is it possible that a mod just stumbled upon your thread while doing their job? I know it's a crazy concept, but maybe nobody tattled.
1820  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I created a website that ranks cryptocurrency exchanges based on Twitter data on: May 25, 2018, 01:01:50 PM
I honestly don't know how representative of anything this data could possibly be. The only thing this would seem to indicate is how people on Twitter are feeling. Twitter is a declining platform, losing users frequently and the users that it is maintaining are increasingly becoming a niche. The people that I have seen promoting coins or getting excited about coins on Twitter are absolutely clueless about cryptocurrency and base their opinion primarily off of whether or not the coin will "pump" before it "dumps".

I've never had a productive cryptocurrency discussion on Twitter. What is happening on Twitter, or any social media platform is extremely irrelevant to cryptocurrency or any rankings that would emerge from that analysis. Unless you're marketing cryptocurrency advertisements to Twitter users, I am unaware how much of a benefit this data can be.
