1421  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have Paypal - Want Crypto on: August 02, 2018, 05:07:46 PM
What "rules" are you talking about? Your thread includes almost no information and has been laid out in an incredibly lazy manner. You provide nothing that would be helpful or informative to somebody genuinely looking to fulfill this exchange for you. Anyone that would be doing this would be doing you a favor, yet you believe the case to be reverse; screw your head on straight.

I made you an offer, which you can accept or decline. Negotiations are common within the marketplace around here. You're not going to get a better offer, unless you find a victim that fits your criteria. I outlined realistic scenarios that are likely to arise from this transaction. Nobody said you forced an exchange. Stop trying to scam people, and please stop saying irrelevant and ridiculous nonsense.

There is no sense in treating any transaction in a careless manner, unless you are seeking to be taken advantage of and scammed. I don't care about your claims of moral benevolence, because your words have no value.
1422  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have 0.24043482 BTC - Looking for paypal on: August 02, 2018, 04:59:14 PM
Your account was registered extremely recently and you have almost no posts at this point. I'm sure, given these circumstances, that you wouldn't be offended if proof-of-funds were requested. Please sign a message from your address(es) to prove that you do have control over the funds you claim you have.

As another precautionary note, I wouldn't trust escrows from outside the forum for bitcointalk related transactions.
1423  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have Paypal - Want Crypto on: August 02, 2018, 04:48:26 PM
If you are looking for 1:1 then you are waiting for an extremely desperate member. I would be willing to do this exchange for you, if you would accept an extremely long hold-time, such that an unauthorized transaction claim cannot be made from the side of the sender. Outside of that, and even including that, there will not be enough security on the other side of the table for anyone to accept this exchange.

Most people will not do 1:1 for Paypal, but I occasionally do if the circumstances are right. Optimally, I would be more interested if you would bump it to a 10% rate in favor of me in addition to the hold time.

Anyone considering to do this, please be aware that an unauthorized transaction claim will almost always fall in favor of the sender.
1424  Other / Archival / Re: Brand Shoes for US residents. on: August 02, 2018, 03:32:11 PM
If that is how you work, and you are unwilling to accept escrow then you will not receive a single order from any user(s) on this forum. Your account is extremely new, you are a Jr. Member, you do not have a single trust-rating and have never sold anything on this forum. There is no reason for anybody to trust you with their coin/money. You have not posted any proof that you even have these shoes, you have not posted any prices or responded to any sales inquiries.

Your options are either, accept escrow (which is an unbiased, reputable third party that acts as a middle-man), make no sales or send the goods prior to being paid. You could also send out a few vouch copies, shoes for free, for reputable members to check out and review for others to have a sense of security.

You can not just create a new account, claim you have goods without proof and then demand payment up-front; please, do some research on your market if you plan to actually make a sale.

DO NOT SEND THIS USER FUNDS WITHOUT ESCROW
1425  Economy / Goods / Re: The most beatiful 'Bitcoin accepted' sign ever created. on: August 02, 2018, 03:23:46 PM
I'm having trouble understanding what is going on in this thread. Are you auctioning off this sign? You haven't listed a price, said $13 for shipping (already absurd), and it is unclear how many are available for sale. Please help me understand what you are charging for this/these, or or create an auction and let the market decide. If you're just doing an interest check you should make that clear as well, but this thread is very wishy-washy and not conducive to creating a transaction.
1426  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 12 x 1070 ti on: August 01, 2018, 08:10:47 PM
Seems like you're the one that is having trouble understanding how to appraise/value a GPU. Nobody said cut 50% at random, yet you keep repeating this strawman argument as if it has genuinely been presented. I'm well aware they are 1070ti, so I have no clue why you're attempting to belittle me based on that. I fully understand how buy, sell, value, appraise and predict GPUs, their prices and the market. You think "taking off VAT" is a fair price, but there are plenty of people selling the same exact card for a far lower price. Nobody is going to buy your used card, simply because you've convinced yourself "it's basically new, so I deserve new price minus VAT, I'm actually doing them a favor."

You're delusional, and are making claims that I am ignorant when you have showcased your misunderstandings explicitly.

Please answer gt_addict, then tell me again how you're the one that understands the market; trying to sell cards at above market value for months, without realizing you could've sold them for more than you're asking for now.
Educate me on how to lose money more, it is quite entertaining.
1427  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [RAFFLE] Bitcoin Penny™ SILVER - Single #1 on: July 31, 2018, 04:48:36 PM
I was actually unaware that there was a raffle currently going on. Good call, locking this up until that's over. Thanks for the suggestion dolphriends. I was wondering why there wasn't any initial interest; we have too many people invested in Hamp's Tongue
1428  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [RAFFLE] Bitcoin Penny™ SILVER - Single #1 on: July 31, 2018, 04:38:49 PM
That was just accidentally left in from copying the template, but now that you're asking I am considering making this a double raffle, two prizes, three singles, first prize gets 2, 2nd gets 1, or maybe reverse? I'm open to suggestions, what do you think would get the ball rolling?
1429  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Raffle] Casascius Tenth MS-67 on: July 31, 2018, 09:43:48 AM
You have no idea how tempting it is for me to snag my "e" slot, but I don't have that tingling feeling about this raffle. It doesn't have that "winning" feel, so I feel like I should trust my instincts and simply watch. It's going to break my heart when "e" ends up being the winning slot, but good luck to whoever snags this, and thanks for running this raffle. Definitely on my watchlist, and maybe if "e" starts calling my name, or ends up being the last slot I'll snag it.

1431  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Penny™ INVISIBLE | Dream Edition on: July 31, 2018, 12:07:51 AM
I was actually a bit worried when my invisible roll didn't arrive with my Silver roll, because originally I had thought that's how it would come. Thanks for the update, that's a weight off my mind, looking forward to receiving this! Starting quite the BP collection, if I do say so myself.
1432  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2 dollar bills on: July 30, 2018, 07:03:47 PM
Why are you asking for $30 for the 1928 bill? They are worth $5-$10, but most likely you could find them for face value. I'm not trying to be confrontational, but I would appreciate an explanation in case I am not considering something that makes this particular bill more valuable. Plus I see folds, discolorations, and other condition harming aspects.

The stamp on the first bill really doesn't help the value, from everything I know. It too, should be closer to face value; $2 bills, outside of a few exceptions, are really not that rare or valuable.

Are you accepting BTC for these bills? Will you consider bringing the prices down, a lot, to get down to market value?
1433  Economy / Goods / Re: Aged 7 character London Domain For Sale on: July 30, 2018, 06:26:29 PM
If you honestly expect to receive an offer of greater than $7,000 then you are going to need to provide more information than what's in front of us. Is there any particular reason you are keeping the domain a secret? It would be helpful for a potential buyer to know the domain, otherwise it could be random characters. 7-characters isn't impressive, but if it's attached to a niche then that might be solid information to go along with it.

Are you accepting escrow? Which payment methods are accepted?

It might be better if you allow for the discussion to be public, that way questions can get answered and everyone can get a feel for where the deal is at.
1434  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Bitcoin Apparel, Get Em While They're Hot! on: July 30, 2018, 05:12:44 PM
The support is certainly appreciated. That model has really made it possible for me to do something I've wanted to do for a long-time. It wasn't possible until recently; looking forward to your continued support, FH! Wink

I'm around to fulfill cryptocurrency orders all day today, so feel free to get in touch for anyone that wants to place an order.

Bump
1435  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Gigabyte Aorus Gtx 1080ti on: July 30, 2018, 04:40:26 PM
Just checking back in on this thread, because I hate to see someone get taken for a ride or allow a scammer to waste everyone's time. There's no reason for scammers to create threads like this once we are able to safeguard ourselves from their nonsense.

He was asking too much for these so he also said he had some other card which he was offering for good price.

I corrected your post using the bold text. Wink Doesn't seem likely that he actually has any of these cards, which would explain the ability to offer such an attractive price. I'm sure he will claim to have a card at any price point, the man just wants to walk away with some easy funds.

I actually video chatted with him for a second and he sent me a verification picture of the GPUs and a piece of paper with the date as well as his face.

Do not rely on video/photos for a sense of security within a trade. Make sure your money doesn't move unless you are sure of what is happening.

I think this is a scam. We agreed that I would pay a small amount of money for shipping first

Whenever someone asks you for an arrangement like this, it's a desperate scam. They know they have you on the hook and they'd be happy to just walk away with shipping money.

Well, lesson learnt I guess - at least I have his picture and can plaster it all over the internet with scammer written underneath it in case he does not ship it.

I would make sure it's actually a picture of the person performing the scam, before you beat-up the wrong guy.

Have you created a Scam accusation/report thread in the Reputation section? It would be helpful if he attempts this on another account in the future, might allow us to hone the search. If you are uncomfortable doing this, I would happily create the thread for you. I would require all the evidence in order to do so, though.

The guy just wrote me:
"Sorry, Deshan here. I faked my identity and everything to make you pay me. I needed money to buy my kids presents for their birthday. I am sorry and i feel very guilty of myself. I am a poor black guy and you know how rough it is for us, living on community funds. These $300 were used ti buy presents for my kids. I will return your money as soon as i have them from somewhere.  Can't tell time but soon i will.

Thank you Sebastian,
Love Deshan Young & family."

How many of their kids could possibly have the same birthday? Poor people don't spend $300 on birthday presents. This person is continuing to lie to you with every sentence. What does being black have anything to do with this?

This message actually leads me to believe that his real identity was used. Anyone else would've just faded into the shadows, but now he wants to make it clear that he faked his identity; this screams "returning to the scene of the crime", to clean up his tracks.

So definitely a scam.

We tried to warn you. Sad

No need to further discuss it
I will work out myself.

I disagree. There is action to be taken, precautions to implement, but remaining silent and just taking it on the chin will allow for this to happen to the next person.
1436  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Experiment: ROUND 2 on: July 30, 2018, 04:28:19 PM
I wouldn't say it's particularly moot, because the terms and conditions of Round 2 are still being worked out. We've not received an official decision on the amount of participants, coins or how it will be run this time around. Sounds like we have ways to hold the XRP and Stellar anyways, so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I would happily throw my vote for allowing Timelord2067 or DarkStar_ to hold that particular alt, if LoyceV is unable to do so themselves.

Assuming everyone is able to deposit on August 4, is that still when we are planning on starting? What is left undecided in your head, Loyce?
1437  Economy / Goods / Re: Iphone 5s [Refurnished A+] on: July 30, 2018, 04:16:40 PM
Your OP and then your replies to questions within this thread are very contradictory.

How it works:
I will only accept your money when i can do it right then and there, not before not after.

That sounds like a wonderful way for you to get money in your hands without taking responsibility for the product you're promising.

so no escrow ?
That's what paypal's for!

These posts would make it seem like you are unwilling to accept escrow, and that you would be using PayPal as a substitute for an escrow. PayPal is not a sufficient escrow, and it does not protect anybody.

for bitcoin payment, I do accept escrow Smiley

Then you say this and I am completely confused.

So are you accepting escrow or are you not? I'm going to assume you're accepting Bitcoin, otherwise you wouldn't have said this.

I honestly would be willing to buy this if you are willing to accept escrow and the terms that the funds are not to be released to you until the condition/function of the phone has been verified. What do you think ?
1438  Economy / Services / Re: [2 OPEN SLOTS] ChipMixer Signature Campaign | 0.00075 BTC/post on: July 29, 2018, 06:02:42 PM
putting someone on the ignore list is weak.

weak - lacking the power to perform physically demanding tasks.

I disagree, I think putting someone that is as contradictory, harassing and this heavily influenced by the Dunning-Kruger effect as yourself is the opposite of the definition of "weak". It certainly performs a physically demanding task, such as dealing with your exhaustively redundant and pedantic complaints.

it means you close your eyes and don't want to read his argumentation.

Yes. Thank you for explaining what "ignore" means, I've been stumped for years.

Not everyone is worth the time to listen and respond. You are not entitled to be heard.
1439  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Gigabyte Aorus Gtx 1080ti on: July 27, 2018, 04:56:21 PM
No where has OP posted anything about a rx 480. You made an account yesterday, and are claiming to have bought something from OP, which they are not publicly offering for sale. If you actually did purchase something from this fellow, then I am sorry for your headache in advance. Multiple members have warned against dealing with this user, and I would not be surprised when this deal goes south.

I just don't see it being realistic that you read through this thread, and thought to yourself "Let me see what else OP has in stock".
1440  Other / Archival / Re: Brand Shoes for US residents. on: July 26, 2018, 04:25:45 PM
I would be willing to purchase some shoes, if the price was right and you are willing to accept escrow. I'm going to be up-front and let you know I will only be interested if the rate is impressive, so I would suggest sending your best offer first. There's no problem with me being your first sale, so long as you accept escrow.

The funds would be released as soon as the authenticity of the shoes, and condition have been verified.
