1281  Economy / Goods / Re: i have a iPhone 4 (Unlocked and full functional) to sell for 50.- in btc/Altcoin on: September 03, 2018, 12:51:11 AM
How much would you charge for shipping to USA? $50 might be a bit high, because that's closer to the price of a 5, but if shipping is included then I might be willing to bite. Would you be willing to accept escrow with the term that funds will be released once the phone has been inspected/received?
1282  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Interest 4% ~ 8% month on: September 02, 2018, 06:22:10 PM
I just giving people another way to invest

No. You're adding an extra step, person and risk-factor for investors. You are not providing anything to the market except a desire to make a profit from another person's trades and yet another person's money without doing anything in between. If you were making things more convenient, or guaranteed against loss by putting your own money up in an escrow or something then that would be a service and I would commend you for that. This just seems like you wanting a cut of another person's work.

Good luck finding somebody to invest, but for this to be interesting to me I would have to be guaranteed either returns or security from loss. If you could provide those guarantees with valid backing then you would have more interest.
1283  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda, MinerJones, Blazed | Missing escrow funds on: September 02, 2018, 05:55:47 PM
I thought that even the 3,000 BTC amount was speculation. I'm clearly not helping solve anything and very likely missing vital chunks of information. I also thought the alts were forked and exchanged when the value was much more insignificant and that 60% was to be spent on development. I may have read through the entire thread, but my reading comprehension must be beyond salvageable.

I'll just bow this one out.
1284  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda, MinerJones, Blazed | Missing escrow funds on: September 02, 2018, 05:35:46 PM
The accusation is that a portion of the money being held in escrow was stolen or otherwise misappropriated

Forgive me, but what is the evidence for this accusation? If there is solid evidence to suggest this happened, then I would love to hear it. It would go a long way towards convincing more than just myself. So far though, I have just heard baseless speculation and it leaves me unable to come to any conclusion about the situation. If there was substantial evidence that would suggest money was stolen, then I agree that transparency beyond what was previously agreed to could be desirable; at least to get to the bottom of things, and dish out financial justice for those negatively affected.
1285  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda, MinerJones, Blazed | Missing escrow funds on: September 02, 2018, 04:37:29 PM
That's not an accusation, that's a suggestion at best. I am operating with very limited knowledge of the situation, but from what I understand the transparency being requested and subsequently leveled as an accusation (somehow?) was never in the terms agreed to by the escrow(s) or the investor(s).

There are two paths, either terms are being broken or they are not; if so, which terms?
Is there any evidence to suggest that funds have been withheld or gone missing? That is the title of the thread, and I have seen nothing that suggests this.
Is there reason to believe that the altcoin exchange rates/dates have been manipulated for them to pocket funds? I'm just trying to figure out exactly what the finger is being pointed at, and why.

1286  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda, MinerJones, Blazed | Missing escrow funds on: September 02, 2018, 03:20:07 PM
So, the refund has been completed and the amount distributed seems to make sense and correlate with what was expected to be distributed, is that right? Where is the issue at this point? The only issue I can see a reason for this remaining, is if there is indeed BTC missing from the pool or individuals that were entitled to a refund.

All I'm hearing though is that people want more accountability, but if all the funds agreed to be distributed are there and have been refunded then I'm failing to see where the issue is or why 3+ DT members are leaving this thread with negative reputation from one another. I know it's not even close to my call, but if I were any one of you I would remove the negative(s) I left due to this thread, because it's seemingly pedantic and does not set a good precedent in terms of how trust is used.

What is the accusation?
1287  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda, MinerJones, Blazed | Missing escrow funds on: September 02, 2018, 02:37:26 AM
It might be more productive if you just read through the thread (again), or present the questions you feel remain unanswered.

This is a scam accusation thread, where no evidence was presented and it resulted in multiple users sending/receiving negative feedback. The focus should primarily be pointing towards evidence-based claims, not summarizing the thread in front of us. This has been a poor example of how a scam-accusation thread should carry itself.

Again, I don't have a dog in this fight, but I see questions and accusations being answered. There could be more transparency, people have the right to keep track of their funds, but I don't see which terms are being violated and the change of escrow terms was not applicable to the NVO escrow (implying that the forks will be included in the BTC total). A distinct lack of evidence is troubling.
1288  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lauda, MinerJones, Blazed | Missing escrow funds on: September 01, 2018, 11:35:50 PM
I have read through all 11 pages of this thread. There aren't many questions that haven't been asked and answered, but there definitely seems to be some miscommunication. I can understand not wanting to make an attempt at signing the multisig address for fear of compromising the seed/funds. I can also understand not doing a public audit out of consideration for those that wish to remain anonymous. Innocent until proven guilty should be paramount, and in this moment I have not seen any accusations hold their weight through evidence. In my personal, limited, opinion the negative feedback as a result of this thread is unnecessary, at least as of now. It seems like the NVO situation is moving forward, with a vote and there has been no failure to communicate through official channels or hold to the obligations of the escrow terms. You may disagree with the escrow terms or would personally do things differently, but to attribute malicious intentions may be a mistake.

It would seem reasonable to produce the dates and rates that the alts were exchanged and added to the BTC pool (unless this has already been done, and I missed it). From what I understand the value of the alts has been added to the BTC pool and will be included with the refund, if that's the direction the vote goes.

Are there any investors that have used the official channels of communication and not received an appropriate response?
This thread is 11 pages and it could easily have fit onto 1 without all the smoke and mirrors, but tensions run high with this much coin floating around and that is understandable.

Is there in fact 10+ BTC Missing?
1289  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Roller Coaster #2 on: September 01, 2018, 10:29:49 PM
Bitcoin's dominance went up too (from 51.1% to 51.1%)
Please let me know if I made a mistake.

I'm wondering if I am being illiterate, or if this is a mistake. 51.1% is not an increase from 51.1% (unless we've rounded some decimals), so let's try that one again. Cheesy

We're up about 30% right now, which is just phenomenal, time to call it quits early. Quit while we're ahead, sort of deal. Can we expect that altcoin prices (more specifically, our altcoin prices) will correlate significantly with the Market dominance of bitcoin?
1290  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Help pick a charity who will receive 0.0142478 BTC. on: August 31, 2018, 11:14:19 PM
Free Ross has secured my vote; Something very tangible/visceral about their situation and fate after doing what I believe to be a net-positive. I might not understand how effective donations would be towards his cause, but that doesn't mean I don't think it would help. Historical, relevant and unfortunate. We may not be able to save the bees, but we have a chance to see Ross again someday.

Would there be any potential to split the donation amongst a few different organizations or charities? I'm just curious if you have already considered this or if it is something to give a bit of thought to.
1291  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Roller Coaster #2 on: August 31, 2018, 11:03:52 PM
I may have been quiet since you started doing the frequent updates on our portfolio, but I assure you it is appreciated greatly. Good job all of you (no thanks to me, outside the pedantic request) for figuring out a more automated way of managing the updates. I make sure to check in everyday and get a feel for the movement of the market. Quite impressed by the early movements of NANO, so let's all give a big "way too early" thank-you to DarkStar_. I think we're working with a solid handful of alts, and we seem poised quite extraordinarily towards profiting at the end of 10-months, though that feels like an eternity away still.

We're up almost 20%, which is nothing to scoff at; fingers crossed that we continue down this path.
1292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies! Kindly Read This..! on: August 31, 2018, 10:24:38 PM
Why do these things tend to happen in waves? There will be periods that stretch months without me ever seeing a newbie necro-bump a post, then when it happens it seems to be as if it's "monkey see, monkey do."

I was in this thread earlier : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=351319.0

Then, when I noticed the dates and the lame comments posted by the same user I was pretty confused on many levels. I don't know why the newbie would waste time posting on such an old thread, I don't know where they found the thread and I don't understand what they are trying to say with what they write.

wow nice sharing!!

recently i gifted a wallet to my friend i have purchased it for 30 dollars best wallets for men

It just defies all logic, but I suppose if you don't know any better then things like this are bound to happen. Please use your common sense, read the rules, guidelines and stickies around the forum and specifically within whatever section you plan to post within. It is not hard to know what is expected, what is frowned upon and what is going to lead to unproductive conversation. I can't help but feel like most of the problem is somebody refining a bot to spam around the forum more properly. Until it is calibrated, maybe it just posts the nonsense on more "suspect" threads, like we see here.
1293  Economy / Goods / Re: Kekistan Embroidered Flag Velcro Patch - 8.5x5cm - Shadilay $5 on: August 31, 2018, 09:35:58 PM
Roger that! You may have just sold yourself another Mystery box, I've been thinking about purchasing your smoker mystery box, but I simply do not need any additional glass pieces. I'm wondering if you would be able to replace the glass piece(s) with other goodies? It feels strange to make requests about the content of a mystery box, but it can't hurt to ask, I imagine.
1294  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer and cheater seller at fiverr : gopo2k on: August 31, 2018, 09:22:24 PM
You are claiming to have a beef with another user on an unrelated marketplace, but you are not presenting any evidence or context beyond a personal anecdote and testimony. There is no reason for anybody to believe your story or feel you have any credibility in what you are presenting. There is no way for us to enforce the rules of fiverr, but if the user is breaking the rules and terms of Fiverr then you should be able to make a case to the staff/support over on that website. All you are doing here is farting in the wind, unless that user is a user of this forum or has an audience from this forum.

As far as I know Fiverr only accepts Paypal and it is a small minority of users around here that are willing to work with Paypal in any capacity; the cross-over audience is negligible. In your post you mention that we should spread the word of this scammer, and I am wondering what you envision in your head when you say this.. Do you expect us to form a mob on your behalf and fight your personal battles without reviewing any evidence or hearing the other side of the story? This is nonsense at every angle.

Did you read this thread? : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0

Have you read any of the stickies found within this section of the forum prior to posting within it?
1295  Economy / Goods / Re: Kekistan Embroidered Flag Velcro Patch - 8.5x5cm - Shadilay $5 on: August 31, 2018, 09:13:53 PM
The $5 price point, is that including shipping around USA or is shipping additional? I want to order one just for the laugh-factor, but I would hate to pay more for shipping than I do for the product; just a personal pet-peeve of mine. Are you able to slip these into a regular envelope or how much is the cost of shipping?

Alternatively, I could always hold off until I buy another mystery box from you and we could stuff it into there in order to save on shipping costs.
1296  Economy / Lending / Re: Need BTC 0.03 loan! on: August 31, 2018, 08:56:08 PM
Since you already have an outstanding loan are you able to produce any valid collateral? I would be interested in funding this loan if condoras was already paid back, or if you are able to bring something to the table that gives me a bit of security. Are you able to work with that, or wait until you have paid condoras?

I read through the other thread involving the first loan, and I understand that things happen in real life that are out of our control, but I still need some kind of security before I blindly fund a loan.
1297  Economy / Digital goods / Re: $10 Amazon gift card for $6 BTC on: August 31, 2018, 08:48:12 PM
How did you come to acquire this gift card? Your account is incredibly new and people often acquire Amazon Gift Cards by questionable or illegal methods. You can imagine that this is something of interest to anybody considering purchasing this from you. Are you willing to go first, or use escrow at your expense? I would be potentially interested if you were willing to let me release the BTC funds once the Amazon Gift Card has been used and the item has arrived. I see you've done a good trade in the past, but that doesn't relieve the many red flags that are seemingly present.

1298  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Interest 4% ~ 8% month on: August 31, 2018, 08:36:58 PM
Those were mostly rhetorical questions, because there isn't really a good answer to them as far as I can tell. I would seem easy enough to pick another trader or another platform for that matter, with higher consistent returns; although, past performance is not indicative of future results. These choices are arbitrary, even if you believe to have reasoning and justification for them. Copying trades is not an uncommon feature of platforms such as this and the platforms themselves are a dime-a-dozen.

I'm simply pointing out that this is not an attractive investment proposal, because there is no need to involve you and take on additional risk/fees.
1299  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Help pick a charity who will receive 0.0142478 BTC. on: August 31, 2018, 07:25:07 PM
Why did you have to make each option so appealing? I've been struggling to place one above the other or eliminate any of them for my vote. I do not know what to do, and I do not want to place my vote disingenuously. Since I participated in The Collective Raffle it only feels right that I throw my 2-cents into where the prize-pool ends up, but lacking new information that forces me to reconsider I will only be able to give my endorsement to wherever it lands.

Is Crypto Quilts a Non-Profit or charity? I didn't realize that you forward all proceeds to the Quilting guild, must've been awhile since I read that OP. Is the Quilting guild itself also a non-profit or charity?

Good on you for holding true to your word about donating the prize-pool. When the donation has been made will you post your confirmation(s), TXID or something else for verification?

I can appreciate you being level headed, even when you don't particularly like the offer being made. What then, would be the lowest you would be satisfied to get for either a 1080 or a 1080ti? I have offers of .0625, and $400 respectively, but I am attempting to get just a bit lower before I pull the trigger on another card.
