1321  Economy / Goods / Re: Adidas Tubular Invader Strap in Red Grey Black Green (like Yeezy Boost 750s) New on: August 27, 2018, 11:19:55 PM
Sorry I am not seller or retailer. I have just purchased that from the OP (hilariousandco) and received Yesterday my time (today forum time).

I know.. That part of the message was for OP, apologies if that was unclear, but I assumed that needed no explanation.

Why are you dancing around the main issue about your personal information being posted?  Huh  One would think that you would be a bit more concerned about that. You understand that your information is within the picture you posted of the shoes you received, right? You could remove it by editing your post, and take a new picture without your information in the frame.

EDIT : Your new picture removed the personal information, but what we're left with is a photo of terrible quality.  Grin At least we can see that you've received them, but I doubt that picture is doing them much justice.
1322  Economy / Goods / Re: Adidas Tubular Invader Strap in Red Grey Black Green (like Yeezy Boost 750s) New on: August 27, 2018, 11:11:52 PM
That was not the concern shasan, they were suggesting that you cover up your name and address in the picture.

I would be taking you up on a couple pairs, but you don't seem to have any shoes big enough for me. If you're able to get bigger sizes and still maintain something below retail, please let me know. Specifically the Black Invaders, or if you have a larger selection then I'm open to it.
1323  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS Gigabyte Gtx 1080 on: August 27, 2018, 10:54:03 PM
When I open the link, I cannot see the card. I'm not sure if this is just me, or if there is something up with the picture/format you've uploaded.

This is just my two-cents, but I was able to grab a 1080ti for this price recently. The market is pretty flooded with people trying to sell their cards for some cash towards a new 2080. Would you consider lowering the price significantly?
1324  Economy / Lending / Re: BTC LOAN on: August 27, 2018, 10:40:55 PM
The hope is that others will read it and be able to take away something of value. For every few users that post something malicious, there is someone reading/posting that is genuinely ignorant and looking to get involved with the community with good intentions.

If just one person thinks to themselves "I'll read the stickies", then I consider that a success; whether it is the scammer, the ignorant newbie, someone foolishly considering to fund the loan or just a passer-by that doesn't consider such things as their forum time has become habituated in an unfortunate manner.

I'm sure most of my "tips" go unnoticed, but I know of at least a handful of people that are more better off because of it. To us, it seems like systematically beating a dead-horse, but to those just entering the forum this may be the first time they hear of such things; elementary as they may be.

just posting a "drive by" loan request hoping some newbie will fall for it.  They will probably never read your message.  :/

It's for the newbie that may fall for it, more than anybody.
1325  Economy / Lending / Re: BTC LOAN on: August 27, 2018, 10:30:03 PM
I've already explained this a thousand times, and I fully expect to explain it at least a thousand more.

Start off by reading the stickies found at the top of any section prior to posting anything within that section/board. You've missed a couple of key-components :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=246874.0

You're not giving anybody that would consider this loan very much confidence that you'll repay. Your only posts have been asking for money, your account was made yesterday, you have negative trust and no proven experience trading. Even if you were a reputable trader, it is just as likely that you lost the investment as it is that you would forward your profit to repay a loan. To me, there is no guarantee that, even if we take you at your word, that you will be able to repay the loan through the means you've claimed would be your route of repayment.

What guarantee is there that you will not simply run away with the coin?
1326  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Sea Foods on: August 27, 2018, 04:42:57 PM
Are you able to produce a picture of your cray fish with your username and timestamp included? That would give more credibility to the claim that you are a part of or own a fishing company. Where do you currently sell your fish? I doubt this is your first expedition, so go on an tell us a bit about what has brought you to this point. I'm perfectly fine with the idea of a growing variety of goods available on the forum, so I don't see a problem with selling Cray fish here (so long as you accept BTC).

That being said, it is not our job to direct you to the correct forum.

Suggest a forum

Just makes you look a bit rude are careless.

Your negative trust is asking for a loan, that was never filled, and didn't follow proper protocol for collateral. In your circumstance it is necessary for you to go the extra mile and prove that you are truly able to provide as you claim.
1327  Economy / Goods / Re: The most beatiful 'Bitcoin accepted' sign ever created. on: August 27, 2018, 04:03:47 PM
"Any whales let's buy this thing." Have you been hired as a hype-man for the sign slinging sales? It doesn't take a whale to have $15, but it doesn't help that shipping is as much as the sign. Plus, these signs could be mass-produced, as far as I can tell, and so it seems to be a bit much to ask for $30.

I'm going to hold steady at $5, and I still wouldn't be interested if I had to pay $13 shipping. I would look into maybe shipping a batch to minerjones or another reshipper to make shipping cheaper to your US customers. That way it won't be such an obstacle for potential customers.
1328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China Cryptocurrency Ban Escalates on: August 23, 2018, 10:45:42 PM
They are most likely concerned that Cryptocurrency will suck too much of the economy into a domain that is outside their control. If I were a betting man, I'd guess that they're going to create a sufficient stranglehold on the cryptocurrency market within their country and then begin to regulate it with absurd fees and laws. They will attempt to use it to drive their own economy, or they will legislate against it; most likely they will do both. Once they've done this they will use the sheer strength of their influence to pop the prices around at their leisure due to holding the keys to the "floodgates", so to speak. I'm just theory-crafting, but one would assume this is an attempt to bring a certain amount of attention to the issue as a part of a greater plan.
1329  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [RAFFLE] Bitcoin Penny™ SILVER Short Roll on: August 21, 2018, 09:15:23 PM
When everyone is anticipating a jump in price, it is a classic that auctions, raffles and the like some to halt momentarily. I'm sure we'll be back up in business with a price jump in either direction, and I'll be standing by for my "d" slot, if you re-open the raffle.
1330  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [RAFFLE] Bitcoin Penny™ SILVER Short Roll on: August 19, 2018, 01:42:05 PM
How can I resist? I'll see if I can make it happen again. Will happily take the same slot as last time, one slot and a dream is all it takes, sometimes. Thanks for taking me up on the offer to raffle this off, again.

"d", please, will pay shortly.
1331  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Bitcoin Pennies + original f*D "The Real Bitcoin" + More at Low Prices on: August 17, 2018, 11:15:05 PM
See the Shibanu thread here on the forum.

Thank you for that, would've taken me way longer than it should to track that down. I'm at the bottom of the bell curve when it comes to using the Search function on this forum. It's unfortunate that the images have gone stale in that thread, but it has (almost) everything I'm looking for. Would've given you a merit, if I had one, but it's the thought that counts, eh?

As a special offer

The offer was tempting, but I'll have to bow out at this point. I already have more collectibles than I can take with me at this point in my life, and I would hate to loss any of these beauties in the process. If they are still available when I am rebuilding my collection, later down the line, you will be hearing from me.  That "Dave" Coin is calling my name. Good luck with sales, but in a way I (selfishly) hope you don't sell them Wink
1332  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Roller Coaster #2 on: August 17, 2018, 09:46:04 PM
It sounds like our good pal and participant, baby-beard, has offered themselves as tribute. I wouldn't mind giving them a chance to compile the data, if you are feeling like you're juggling too many balls at once. Already sounds like they have the capabilities (somewhat) to "automate" the updates.

If you're able to do it without much work though, be my guest. I just figured, you have someone offering to do it and so it probably couldn't hurt to let them give it a go. I don't know about the rest of the participants, but I'm the type of person that would be very interested in daily updates, but I know how unrealistic that is.

Outside of anything sensational and unexpected, should I anticipate there to be a Round 3 that I can participate in?
1333  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] Bitcoin Penny™ SILVER - Single #2 on: August 17, 2018, 09:22:14 PM
Due to a lack of interest, and not a single valid bid, this auction has ended without a winner. I'm not sure what to do with this single, because everything must go! It's possible that I add it to my ongoing raffle for another Single. That would make the current raffle for 2 singles, instead of 1; there is a lack of interest in that raffle as well, so maybe bundling them would drive some more ticket-sales.
1334  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Penny™ SILVER on: August 17, 2018, 09:11:01 PM
You already know where I stand on this one, Chris. I'm not sure if you'd be up for another one, but I think the first raffle was quite a success. Unless it has already sold and I was not quick enough on the draw, in which case, congratulations to whoever grabbed the last roll.

I hear a slow building chant growing from within the stadium, "Raffle! Raffle! Raffle!"
1335  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: New Investor - $2,000 PayPal ———> WANT CRYPTO on: August 17, 2018, 09:07:33 PM
Not only can Paypal payments be reversed, no matter what the sender is telling you. Even friends and family, even if they begin a charge-back and cancel it, etc. Fair warning, this user doesn't hold to their word or pull through on their own deals even when they set the terms. Their trust feedback explains it quite well, and I suggest anybody foolish enough to consider this proposal to take a sift through that prior.

I wouldn't even use an escrow, because I can't think of any that will work with Paypal and guarantee any kind of security of funds (which defeats the purpose).

In situations such as this, it's best to just save the headaches and protect yourself; don't fall for an obvious trap.
1336  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.0023 BTC Micro Loan with collateral - 2 weeks on: August 17, 2018, 08:17:05 PM
so you either miss the fact that my account is more valuable than 10$

Vod already said it, but I'd like to emphasize that your account is not worth $10.

the other fact that the lender is receiving a valid collateral that is currently trading on exchange?

I've already explained myself for why your collateral would not be seen as valid. Although, it is fun to run around in circles with you, so let's have another go at it. It is barely trading on any exchange. The 24h volume, as I already said, is only about 1-2BTC for each of the coins you are offering as collateral. This means that almost nobody is trading these coins, at all, and it is very likely that they will stop being traded entirely with this kind of trade volume.

You continue to claim these as facts, when they aren't even reasonable opinions.

I really think you are not being fair with my deal, or with my request considering every aspect of the proposed scenario, such as the loan value, the collateral provided, my accounts history .

Then you are refusing to look at things objectively, and you would only consider this to be "fair" if you got what you are asking for. "Fair" does not mean "I'm satisfied", it means you get what you deserve and in this instance you are certainly being treated fairly. Nobody from DT has given you negative reputation, and the only thing that has happened so far is multiple people attempting to explain to you how loans, collateral, etc. work around here. You are refusing to accept what we are telling you, digging your heels in, doubling down and making somewhat of an ass of yourself.

I have been doing a BITTO signature bounty campaign and I still have not been paid yet. I accumulated over 230 Bitto coins which are supposedly worth 230$+. Why would I risk getting paid for that as well?

Doing bounties for shitcoin ICOs is extremely unreliable. Whenever they claim that their coin is going to be $1 a piece, you can almost guarantee that it will never be worth $1 outside of Minute 1 and 2 of trading. It is almost a surefire bet that it will hit exchanges at $1 and then tank, forever. The fact that you have not been paid yet as literally nothing to do with you requesting a loan. Even if you did default on a loan, refuse to pay and received negative reputation, this would not change your status with BITTO.

I didn't know that my offer was really shitty I actually thought I was providing a good offer. Its all a matter of perspective.

I am looking for someone who would have the perspective of helping me enjoy my day off with no risk on his side.

Again, Thank you for your posts guys but I would appreciate support at this time.

Well, now that we've told you that your offer is terrible and won't be taken seriously, you still aren't changing the terms.. You're just hoping that someone will be altruistic or ignorant enough to do you a favor. There is risk on the lender's side, and if you cannot see that after the extensive explanations that have been provided, then you are a lost cause.

The only perspective to be had, is that you are offering collateral that is NOT valid and that you are actively trying to sell. You cannot force your terrible proposals down our throat and expect us to say "thank you". Change your terms, or continue to live in fantasy land, hoping a fairy will grant your wish.
1337  Economy / Reputation / Re: Shit eaters Lauda and Pharmacist- Ban need to executed on these people on: August 17, 2018, 08:03:27 PM
I was under the opinion that liquids are drunk and not eaten..

What a strange, alcoholic world you must live in.  Cheesy Where I'm from, inanimate objects are unable to become drunk. I was under the impression that liquids are drank, but I've also never been very good at grammar.

To sum up the thread, you dislike Lauda and The Pharmacist; duly noted, thank you for your input.
1338  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: BUYING BTC/ETH/ALTCOINS - [H] Paypal 1:1 - HERO Member - 8/17/2018 on: August 17, 2018, 10:19:23 AM
No worries, I'm not normally the type of user that gets frantic over waiting a few minutes. Patience is a virtue, at least, that's what they say. I understand that life gets in the way sometimes, and you can't spend 24/7 staring at a computer screen, refreshing the forums. Thanks for handling the exchange for me rather quickly, without any headaches. Made my night a little bit easier and I appreciate that. Will be in touch in the future, when I need more (which I fully expect to be at least a few times a month).
1339  Economy / Lending / Re: 0.0023 BTC Micro Loan with collateral - 2 weeks on: August 17, 2018, 03:59:39 AM
We are well aware that your account will receive a flood of negative feedback if you do not repay your loan and turn out to be a scammer. What you seem to be missing here, is that tons of people are willing to throwaway member accounts, such as yours, for small scams, such as this. It has happened in the past, it will happen in the future and nobody wants to roll the dice to find out if they're going to get screwed.
1340  Other / Meta / Re: [Request] 1 Merit to become junior member and access to bounties sub on: August 17, 2018, 03:42:45 AM
What do the people who operate these bounties think of the newbie invasion?

If I had to guess, they probably fool themselves into thinking they're getting the right kind of attention.

An idea I had in this vein was that upon registration you'd have to pick one of two paths:
 - "I want to discuss things"
= Banned from all money-making/spam-hotbed sections until Jr Member
 - "I want to make money"
= Banned from the more serious sections until Jr Member
= You have to pass a quiz before posting which tries to inform you about basic forum rules, how not to get banned, maybe some basic English knowledge, etc. (Quizzes are pointless to stop dedicated spammers, since an answer key will quickly be compiled, but it may help in cases where clueless people are ending up here.)

I'm of the belief that the more dedicated spammers are the problem, it is no coincidence that LoyceV can pull up a list of 300+ newbies spamming the same phrase in multiple ICO/Bounty threads. This might be a good opportunity to allow the merit system to act as a gatekeeper for the "paths" (or these sections in general, and do away with paths). Consider having a threshold separate from those tied to ranking up, and that would be the criteria for entering the section(s) not allotted by your path.

Alternatively you could change the questions on timed/random intervals, potentially having members submit questions to be added into the next rotation, at least re-formatting the questions in such a way that an answer key would be obsolete or counter-productive.

With only 1% of the forum having received a single merit, I would say this is a rather impressive indicator that those with a merit are the users willing to operate and discuss in good faith (with a margin of error, of course). Allowing merit to be the litmus test for access to the bounties/altcoin/spam-hotbed/money-making sections almost certainly would do significant damage to our spam problem.
