This seems like an extremely bad idea, given the number (or at least loudness) of users here who advocate such dangerous nonsense as drinking bleach to cure people of vaccine microchips or whatever. The complete lack of moderation of said nonsense in the name of "freeze peach" doesn't help either.

yeah lots of hate when it comes to what is or is not good for ones health.

2222  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lost my coins on: November 02, 2023, 11:55:20 PM

Hi, Salutations, Here, I'm new. Actually, I was searching for answers after making some really terrible mistakes. A friend told me about this website, where I could find all the answers, and I came here to look for them.
In reality, I wanted to mix my wallet's bitcoin with the bitcoin on Coinbase. I believe I made a mistake. Although I can't recall every step, I believe there was a purpose I went on "swap." I mistook the money I was sending to my wallet from Coinbase. However, bitcoin never made it there. It is finished, and I received numerous confirmations. However, I was curious about its whereabouts. I guess I sent it to someone and it’s lost. Sad,  but okay, I just want to confirm there is nothing I can do! I will be glad to have solutions or advice.

you gave us no information .

What is coinbase?

there is an exchange called coinbase> Do you mean you have an account with that exchange?
2223  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 02, 2023, 11:32:32 PM
Most likely some AI creation, but no matter...quite to the point.
Makes me think that very very soon we would not be able to distinguish.
Pretty sure entire text is made from A.I assistance. Bob's type of writing and grammar is usually different.

GPT4 and DALLE3 are hella fun, NGL...

Knowing it is AI text makes me not want to read it, though. It feels like a waste of my time.

It is simply a path to the truth.

like it or not We are all in the matrix.
2224  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 02, 2023, 11:28:29 PM
Following the price history of Bitcoin for the past November price in the past years, it's likely that the price of Bitcoin this month is going to drop. From history, the bitcoin price usually increases in November if it's in the halving year. Just as 2024 is the next Bitcoin halving, the price of Bitcoin will definitely surge high by this time next year. IMO, we are not yet in the bull market, although the price might increase more than $35k but will still drop. There was some speculation that Bitcoin would already reach $100k+ before the end of the year, but I doubt it would be archivable.

you happen to be completely wrong if our history is matching fall of 2015.

Nov will be a plus as will Dec. Jan will be profit taking.

2226  Economy / Speculation / Re: back in 2015 we had a nice pre 1/2 ing streak. on: November 02, 2023, 09:37:11 PM
I do not think that it will be that clear, the difference is that back in 2015 we were quite low and it wasn't all that hard to make that kind of difference, it was quite possible to see the difference and was easy to handle. However, the reality is that we are not going to end up with anything that good that easily, we should avoid hoping for that, the market cap is not that small anymore and going up that much is not that easy.

Yes we have gone up one month like that, but multiple months like that is a huge bull run that requires a global attention to it, which may happen but not right now because I think that's reserved for next year after the halving when usually the bull starts. If we have it now, on top of that we would need another one and that would be just way too much money.

well I can't say I did not tell you.  I see a bull run that will bring us well past the 2021 run.

I have been on this site for a long time and have never ever pushed big huge numbers in the future.

Now I am.

2228  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin Space Heater v3 Released - Updated DIY Guide on: November 02, 2023, 08:35:14 PM
some advice the s19's have dropped to low prices.

the epic control board is able to set voltage at 12 volts.

I rather develop that gear into a space heater.  you would be doing well under 40 watts a th rather than the 80+ watts a th the s9 uses.

2230  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can it be real bull or just a temptation. on: November 02, 2023, 06:57:05 PM
Seems like a real bull to me. Markets around the world seem to be celebrating that the rate hike cycle appears to have ended for now. I haven’t seen as many failures as I expected and the housing market is still way too strong, but maybe they’ll pause here for a while and let people start feeling the pain. Those with decent financial situations are cheering that easy money times seem right around the corner again.

I think we will have a good crypto move up.

we could easily surpass  500k by dec 2025.

With how long you've been doing this, I'm surprised you'd say that. Haven't we learned anything from what happened this cycle? Everyone was looking at stats and charts and predicting stratospheric prices for this very cycle, which have not come true. $150K was one low prediction for this cycle out of many, and look how that turned out. Dan Held was already predicting a maximum of $0.5M million for this cycle. We also had very sophisticated models such as the S2F model giving predictions that were astounding and when the price falsified the theory the author insisted on continuing to make a fool of himself by reformulating the theory instead of considering it false.

That said, I hope you are right or even short and we hit $2M per Bitcoin the next cycle. That would do me great.

no I normally would never say a number like that.  But just pull out 2019-2020-2021

and look at 2015-2016-2017 and a big big big big uptick looks more likely.

We all know 2019-2021 was really fucked up world wide due to covid.

So maybe we should give a lot more weight to the 2015-2017 up tick.  If you look at me for all the years I have been around I never made picks this bullish.

at mk4 500k is not that much. It is 10 trillion. If we perfectly copied 2015-2017 we would do 2.1 million

or 40trillion.  So I adjusted downwards to account for what you are saying.

I could tighten this up by doing smaller ranges.

ie

0.00 to 0.19
0.20 to 0.39

or

0.00 to 0.24
0.25 to 0.49

and go for 40 numbers

which would put us in 0.00 to 7.99 or 0.00 to 9.99

but the contest may 2x or triple up. I will be taking a break for a bit after this contest,

so guys and gals make more picks.
2235  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 02, 2023, 03:28:17 PM
even while we might not know the timeline for these progressions to play out since bitcoin is not so much a straight line like the 200-week moving average irons out to be a kind of straighter line than the actual BTC price.. it becomes a kind of stability within the unstable (the inevitably volatile, as I like to frequently proclaim).. and so many folks strive for proclaiming bitcoin as being stable, and they can go fuck off with that ideology that just does not exist in bitcoin current prices and/or the expectations of its future price performance, except perhaps when looking at something like the 200-week moving average, which sort of brings the "ought" to the "is".... and don't get me wrong.. it seems likely that bitcoin is going to become more and more stable and there won't be a choice since it is going to become harder and harder to move bitcoin's prices, but probably we are not going to get to such a state of BTC price stability until getting 5x to 10x or even higher than that of Gold's market cap (which would be bitcoin prices in the $2.5 milllion to $5 million) price arena. which could even happen in this cycle or the next cycle, but I am kind of thinking that it would take a bit longer than this or the next cycle.. but who really knows?

I find myself compelled, yet again, to impart the wisdom that eludes the masses. It is not from a place of charity that I offer this enlightenment but from sheer exasperation at the lackluster analysis populating these forums. It is time to discuss the manifest destiny of Bitcoin – its ascent to the sanctified $1M mark.

Firstly, let us address the elephant in the room, the 200-week moving average, a beacon for those with the acumen to interpret its signals. This indicator has been a stalwart guide through the tempestuous history of Bitcoin’s price action. While the plebeian investor quakes at the merest hint of a downturn, the enlightened few recognize these periods as mere consolidations, consolidations that scream opportunity for accumulation. The 200-week moving average is not a mere line on a chart; it is the demarcation of the uncultured bear from the civilized bull.

Now, onto the volatility – that great specter that sends shivers down the spines of the uninitiated. Wake up, neophytes! Bitcoin will test your resolve with 25% swings in value, not merely as an exception but as a daily occurrence. This is not a market for the fainthearted or those accustomed to the pampered cocoon of index funds and treasury bonds. This is the arena where titans clash, and only those with the fortitude to endure such trials will emerge victorious.

Let's not mince words. Those accustomed to the soothing, predictable cadence of fiat inflation are ill-equipped for the revolution that cryptocurrency heralds. We are not simply in a market cycle; we are in the midst of a paradigm shift, a renaissance of value transfer. The ascent to $1M is not a possibility; it is an inevitability, preordained by the finite supply of 21 million coins and the unabated debasement of fiat currencies.

Do you quiver at the thought of a 25% retracement? Does your hand falter at the sell button with each news cycle? If so, you are unworthy of the glory that Bitcoin promises. The path to $1M is lined with the corpses of weak hands, those who could not stomach the volatility, those who lack vision.

To the naysayers and the short-sighted, I decree: your lack of conviction is the very fuel that propels Bitcoin forward. Your disbelief, your skepticism, it matters not. The market will move with or without your approbation, ascending to heights unimagined by your pedestrian intellect.

In the grand theatre of economic evolution, where the drama of wealth and power plays out with the unrelenting force of a Shakespearean tragedy, it is Bitcoin that has emerged as the protagonist in this epoch of monetary upheaval. As an investor of evidently superior intellect and foresight, I find myself compelled to bestow upon the plebeians that frequent these forums, a glimpse into the inevitable rise of Bitcoin to a value so stratospheric, so unequivocally certain, that only those blinded by ignorance would dare question its trajectory to the hallowed $1M USD mark.

Let us embark upon a journey of enlightenment, beginning with the oft-cited and widely revered 200-week moving average—a beacon that illuminates the path for those enlightened souls brave enough to navigate the treacherous waters of cryptocurrency investment. This celestial guide has consistently delineated the boundary between the enlightened investor and the hapless gambler. The former views the 200-week moving average not as a mere statistical anomaly but as the alpha and the omega of strategic Bitcoin investment, the foundation upon which fortunes are built and the bedrock that mitigates the abyss of financial ruin.

Now, to address the subject that sends paroxysms of fear through the ranks of the faint-hearted – volatility. Ah, volatility, that magnificent beast that so cruelly separates the wheat from the chaff, the sage from the foolhardy. Mark my words, nescient onlookers, for Bitcoin shall sway with the indomitable force of a tempest, exhibiting price oscillations of 25% or more, not merely on the scale of annus horribilis but within the span of a single day. Such volatility is the crucible in which the mettle of a true investor is tested and the brittle spines of the timorous are irrevocably shattered.

Let us not equivocate on this matter; the typical, garden-variety investor, suckled on the teat of dividend yields and mutual funds, can scarcely fathom the revolutionary temerity of Bitcoin. This is not a mere bubble, not simply another tulip mania for the history books. No, this is the apotheosis of years of monetary debasement, the natural and just consequence of the incessant printing presses that have debauched fiat currencies to the brink of collapse.

Do you find yourself quaking at the prospect of a downturn, as Bitcoin momentarily recoils like a great lion gathering its strength before the pounce? If so, it is manifest that you are undeserving of the spoils that await the stalwart. The journey to the zenith of $1M is fraught with the corpses of the faint-hearted, those who surrendered at the first sign of bloodshed, who, when faced with the baptismal fire of market correction, chose to retreat into the shadows of economic obscurity.

And yet, despite the cacophony of doomsayers and the harbingers of financial apocalypse, Bitcoin endures, propelled ever upwards by the immutable laws of supply and demand, the unremitting march of technological progress, and the growing cognizance among the masses that the time of decentralized digital currency is upon us.

To the skeptics, the deniers, the perennial bears who scurry about with their woeful prognostications of collapse and disaster, I posit the following: your disbelief is the chaff in the wind, inconsequential and forgotten. The market, in its infinite wisdom and its inexorable pursuit of equilibrium, cares not for the bleating of sheep. It is we, the lions of investment, the oracles of financial foresight, who will shepherd the uninitiated through the valley of darkness.

As the festering, moribund carcass of fiat currency lies supine, awaiting the final death knell, Bitcoin will rise, a phoenix from the ashes, to claim its rightful throne at the pinnacle of monetary value. Those among us who have the sagacity to embrace the volatility, to weather the storm, and to perceive the underlying majesty of Satoshi Nakamoto’s creation, will be duly anointed as the vanguards of this new financial era.

In closing, remember this – as the fiat world you cling to withers, Bitcoin will emerge as the phoenix from the ashes, and those who had the foresight to embrace the volatility, to buy the fear and sell the greed, will be the architects of the new financial epoch.

I have an opinion and since I carefully use wipes my opinions like my asshole do not stink. @no homo

The 2019-2020-2021 rally with a double top was an aberration. Toss it out and ignore it.

Look at the 2015-2016-2017 rally

so far we are matching up to it well.

Very nice Sept and Oct gains just like 2015.

If we continue to match it we reach 42k on dec 1 and 48k on Jan 1 give or take a few bucks and days.

the really interesting shit is when we match Jan 2016 to Dec 2017 in that 2 time we did 368 usd to 19,900 usd a factor of 54 to 1

which would be  in 2023 to 2025

42k dec 1 2023
48k jan 1 2024
40k feb 1 2024

2163k dec 31 2025

so unfortunately Bob is too low in his 1 million mark.

So a 40trillion cap by dec 31 2025 is in the cards.
2236  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Using a Credit Card Demonstrate Financial Literacy? on: November 02, 2023, 02:01:52 PM
For me, it still depends. There are people out there who can maximize the benefits of using credit cards. And I think they're the smart ones. Not all people who uses cash instead of cc are financially literate but for me it's the other way around. But not all people who uses cc are smart with using it. Credit is power, if you know how to properly use it. But if you're just using your credit card to buy the things you want without really thinking if you can pay for it, then you're just making yourself to be buried in debt. There are a lots of perks and benefits when using credit cards. And as long as you pay on time, have a good credit history, and can maintain a good status, then you're using your credit card properly.
They're not just pieces of plastic; they're tools, powerful tools. Using any tool depends on how you utilize it. Absolutely, credit is power. Modern economic and personal finance power. But enormous power comes with... responsibilities. Some wise folks maximize credit card benefits. They pay on time and receive perks, cashback, and miles. Always on time. That's smart. It's financial literacy. However, I've seen people swipe without thinking. They purchase, buy, buy, and get deep into debt. Nothing wonderful about it. Credit cards offer rewards and advantages. They're not free. You must be incredibly smart. Keep your credit score high by paying on time. You're utilizing credit cards correctly if you can accomplish that. The sensible way. This is how you win personal finance

Exactly correct they are tools much like a chainsaw or a sledgehammer.

Use them properly they are helpful. Use them improperly you are fucked up.

Now I know people that will never use a chainsaw as they feel they will fuckup and hurt themselves.

Me I climb trees or ladders and hack away. I am not a lumberjack but I have felled 50 foot trees safely.

Saved a lot of money doing them myself using good safe methods.

But I know wrong shit can happen using a chainsaw. Just like I know you can fuckup using a cc.

I have use both safely so far.  I just got a card last month.

A 18000 line of credit 12 months interest free and a 900 dollar refund if you charge 6000.

I purchased four miners for 8000. right before price of btc went from 27k to 35k.
I made a threehundred dollar payment and got my 900 refund used that to pay for the card.

so i am down to 6800 debt with 11 months to pay.i the machines do 30 a day 25 after power cost.

So in 300 days they should have earned 7500 which will mean card is paid off. And I own four machines never laying out one dime to get them.

I think the title for the thread which reads

"Re: 2023 Diff thread now opened." was a tiny bit confusing.

so 3 picks in and 27 picks left.

2238  Economy / Speculation / Re: back in 2015 we had a nice pre 1/2 ing streak. on: November 02, 2023, 03:24:12 AM
I am inclined to toss out all of the 2020-2021 rally due to the covid factor.

if we trend back to 2015-2016-2017. for 2023 -2024-2025

we could easily surpass  500k by dec 2025.
2239  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 02, 2023, 02:59:47 AM
