Bobby Green isn't going to bring much to the table, a decent fighter but it's probably one of the most mismatched fights on the card. I've got some picks I've chucked into a football accumulator which I'm fairly confident in:

Ramiz Brahimaj
Islam Makhachev

I'll be including another bet which has a few more fighters on, although I think these fights are as confident as one can get before a fight. Obviously, anything can happen in that cage as we recently saw with Nunes, however I'm still pretty confident on these ones, I think they win nine times out of ten. Makhachev might be worth betting a finish, I think we could see him get either a submission or a TKO.
2162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: February 22, 2022, 09:15:00 PM
The Paul brothers might be in it for the publicity, however the  fact of the matter is Mayweather still hasn't paid Logan, and that's quite publicly known. Although, Mayweather is claiming that boxing purses usually take this long to get sorted, and while I can definitely understand a delay at times, due to the various different broadcasters, I'm not sure I'm buying it entirely.

I don't see a fight happening between Mike Tyson, until that's sorted. Mike Tyson has been on Logan's podcast so he knows the sort of people these guys are, and if there was any truth in this possibly happening, Mike is definitely only doing it for the money. I imagine several boxers have advised Mike to not do it for boxing sake, as well as his legacy. Logan will likely get another big name though in his career.
2163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: February 22, 2022, 09:11:49 PM
Good first half, Havertz going wide, dropping in midfield and getting involved in the game. Havertz is exceptional, he moves, he creates a lot of opportunities, he is something else for this guy. What Chelsea need to do now is score more goals. Lille attack is threatening, they haven't just found the right rhythm. The game is precisely good, but they need to check on Renato runs and passes, he is mounting a lot of pressure on Alonso thus causing pressure on Silva. If they managed to equalize before Chelsea scores another, they will probably defend till the end and that's not good. So they need more chances in the second half to seal the game.
Havertz, and Mount are probably Chelsea's best attackers, and not having Mount I think has been detrimental to their play recently, which is quite possibly the reason why they haven't been on the form they were before his injury. Chelsea with both of them back fit, and playing well are definitely a challenger to the competition, as their defense has to be one of the best in euorpe, which I believe is the main factor they're still doing well in the Premier League, and are still competing in the Champions League. Their defense has saved them more than once in this competition.

Tuchel has done a great job in drilling those defenders, although Chelsea have definitely been known throughout the years to be decent in that department.
2164  Other / Meta / Re: TheBitcoinTalkShow - 5 feb - Bitcointalk was hacked on: February 22, 2022, 08:56:35 PM
I already watch it but was lazy to add my boring comments here. Although the previous episode "Bitcointalk quiz" was little boring for anyone who's not been deep into to bitcointalk whole but was still fun for 343 people who views I opened 3 times on three different devices so I guess the number is 340. But damn from 343 views to 2.9k view good jump Bitcointalk show keep it up.
Yeah, I think its pretty difficult to cater for the existing audience (mostly from Bitcointalk), but also at the same time cater for a new audience without them knowing too much about the forum. The views suggest Cyrus, and the team are doing a good job of that though. Naturally, quizzes about the forum will be less likely to bring in new subscribers for the channel, but a historic event such as the hack, definitely will as it's more interesting to those that aren't familiar with it.

I just hate Google and wish there was a competitor viable enough such that the forum's channel didn't have to use their platform.

I suppose there's no chance of dual posting the videos on a site like Bitchute or some other video hosting site?
I know what you mean, I've recently successfully degoogled the phone, except for using a custom android rom of course, which you could argue is a Google product, but it's at least specifically designed to get rid of Google apps, and use open source alternatives, any way while you can use a Youtube app without signing in, and giving all your data to Google (newpipe via F-droid), there's still no true streaming services which is even close to competing. In fact, I don't think we'll see it anytime soon either.

I won't every say that Wolves is a bad team even if they are ...because I simply cannot understand how they're winning games and how they can score...honestly.

At this point , I think it's just pure chemistry between some players and some high skill levels as well because I must admit that some players could play on most of the top football clubs from Europe and with the summer break , some players will change teams for sure.
They've got some quality players, which would be able to play in most of the other teams in the league, apart from the top six. Although, being mostly made up of Portuguese players, since that's the clubs recruitment strategy could be one of the factors to why they actually mesh together quite nicely. Though, to me they've got some very good players in there, and actually aren't at full strength I'd say. For example, Neto being out currently. I'd have Neto at Liverpool, and we recently signed Jota from there, so I think that speaks volumes of the sort of quality they have at their disposal.
2166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: February 22, 2022, 08:46:32 PM
Chelsea are the absolute worst for me in terms of putting them in my accumulators. I actually had Havertz scoring, Chelsea winning, under four goals, and BTTS NO, but I also had the 10 minute result would be a draw. The amount of money Chelsea have cost me this season, and I mean marginally so is absolutely infuriating. Thinking of not including them at all in the future, as they seem to have a personal vendetta against me.

Dominant performance from them at the moment though.
2167  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Discussion] Bitcointalk Community Awards on: February 22, 2022, 08:40:30 PM
Some of them may take advantage of the opportunity to get merit, but some of them also sincerely want to choose. I'm not entirely sure what the goal is, but merit is one of the main draws of most spammers during voting.

I probably wouldn't blame them completely but maybe some merit source would also really like to appreciate it even if some of them aren't great posters so far. But I can think of something positive about it and one of them is introducing merit to spammers who might later change their behavior when they realize that merit is a rank up requirement.
I think most of the earlier votes were genuine, although I'm definitely seeing a pattern of users popping up, and voting for those that are rewarding votes with merit. That's probably not enough evidence to be absolutely sure that was their sole motivate, but I think it has definitely played a part in some of the votes. Like I suggested before, if this voting event is going to become a annual thing for years to come, them maybe the admin team could prevent merits being sent in the thread to prevent abuse. Although, I'm not sure it's a massive problem in the grand scheme of things, it would just be a shame to see a community event be ruined by it, as I do believe that message behind the event i.e recognising those that contribute to the forum in one way or another, is a good one.

I know this is not MMA news but seems EAGLE FC is eying a GSB vs Khabib grappling match. That seems interesting. As for Green vs Makachev, this isn't the best decision Makachev and his team could have made. Yeah, on paper Makachev get's a fairly easy win, but, what if he doesn't? It's still MMA and anything can happen so what if he doesn't? Then he falls so deep back into the division it will make the Kola Superdeep Borehole look like a mole hole.
Would be a smart move for promoting the organisation, especially as it would be Khabib's 30th fight, in fact I might actually be a little cheeky here, and say this was planned from the start. Nah, of course we know the reasons why Khabib retired like he did, a lot of us think it was a little too early for a fighter his age, and calibre, but he had legitimate reasons to do so.

I'd definitely tune in to see Khabib back in action though, although he wins that grappling match.

Jamahal Hill
Parker Porter
Jonathan Pearce
Chas Skelly
Kyle Daukaus
Mario Bautista
Chad Anheliger
Jessica Rose Clark (Decision)
Diana Belbita (Decision)
Abdul Razak Alhassam
Onama

Abdul is my underdog of the night, an absolute warrior, and I expect him to at least make it difficult in the cage. Where as my most confident picks will be Jamahal Hill, Kyle Daukaus, Mario Bautista, and Clark to win. I don't tend to take much consideration on how people look in the weigh ins, so that didn't hold any weight in most of my predictions.
I had another pretty good night considering I was expecting a lot of the fights to be hard fought for. The ladies on the card let me down, as well as Alhassam, although Alhassam was definitely close to finishing that fight if he just could've put more pressure on with the ground, and pound in the dying seconds of the third round.

From memory I think I got 8/9 correct there. The unfortunate thing is, the football matches I had on the accumulator also came in, so I would have been looking at one hell of a profit if those three fights came in. Also had some of the favourites from this weeks card to bring it up to a 14 fold accumulator. I'm getting really damn close recently.
2171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 19, 2022, 05:30:33 PM
Right. I've finalised my predictions, and I've put in a cheeky 14 fold accumulator with some football games, and some fights from the next event. Here's the predictions for tonight:

Jamahal Hill
Parker Porter
Jonathan Pearce
Chas Skelly
Kyle Daukaus
Mario Bautista
Chad Anheliger
Jessica Rose Clark (Decision)
Diana Belbita (Decision)
Abdul Razak Alhassam
Onama

Abdul is my underdog of the night, an absolute warrior, and I expect him to at least make it difficult in the cage. Where as my most confident picks will be Jamahal Hill, Kyle Daukaus, Mario Bautista, and Clark to win. It's quite mad how this forum is going to be absolutely covered in history when people look back at it in the years to come. Its already a place that is what I believe an integral part to Bitcoin's success over the years, and to be part of that is quite special if you think about it.

It's crazy how in a decade or two, it could suffer the same fate as the previous techs [e.g. FPGA, GPU and etc...]
I think generally, computers have stopped or at the very least lessened their following of Moore's law in recent years, but quite potentially Bitcoin specific mining machines skipped that stepping up period of traditional computers even more so. Who knows, Bitcoin has definitely grown exponentially over its small history, but I'm not sure if we've already hit the ceiling to that.

I probably still have the CPU somewhere. Taken out of context, my 2010 post makes it sound like I barely had any idea of what a CPU was since I just used the over-broad "Pentium" label, but in fact this was a gaming machine I'd built around 2008, and I chose the specific CPU carefully. It was far from the best CPU available in 2010, but it was probably in the top 5% of retail-oriented CPUs.
Which probably still struggled to play Command & Conquer Cheesy.

I don't like to talk about other people's privacy, but what happened to those 5 bitcoins? Grin Did you sell it or do you still keep it?

My inner child hopes that it was spent on a better gaming rig in the following years after that.

Suit yourself, but your approach would be terrible for me. I would feel like doing a chore instead of enjoining a game. But that is me and I am loosing at least 15 minutes every day making tickets so I always remember to do the Superbru as well. It feels as a chore even when I enter all the games for one week (I am playing 4 pools) so I now started entering only the results for current day.
Well, going into this I was coming off a rather large break from football predictions, mostly only putting the odd one down, but I've seen some decent success recently combined with UFC, so I'm starting to get the itch again, and I'd rather be in a season long competition, where that competition is every week, while only paying once at the start of the season, since that prevents any unnecessary spending just for a bit of fun.

Plus, I think it's better to compete among ourselves instead of playing a fantasy football league where they is millions competing against each other. Although, I'll be absolutely sure to set out a day of just predicting everything in the preseason, and then just revisit when I have time, every week or every other week whenever it's, and hopefully I'll be at least somewhat competitive.
2174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: When I first heard of Bitcoin and How it scared me on: February 18, 2022, 11:42:32 PM
People usually learn their lessons in 2 ways.

The easy way: by educating themselves and reading a lot.
The hard way: by getting scammed.

Looks like you fell for the latter. Look at the bright side — you've already been a victim, so do all you can to make it never happen again. Fortunately — while it's still money, thankfully it's not like-changing amounts of money.
The only trade off with being scammed for the OP, and any other users that get scammed, is they'll be much more cautious, and suspicious in the future, which will likely protect them  from losing more funds to scams. Sometimes, it doesn't matter how you learn, as long as you do learn. Obviously, not promoting scammers or getting scammed there, but what I'm trying to put across is the earlier you get "educated" as you put it, the less likely you're to have a big wealth in the first place, and therefore if you do amount a decent fortune later on in Bitcoin, you'll be a little more wiser.

Obviously, getting educated before being scammed is the best way, however I think a lot of users find out the hard way unfortunately.
2175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 18, 2022, 10:20:03 PM
To be fair though, lesser known competitions need to offer more to the fighters to be able to compete. UFC is in a position of power, so they get to dictate a lot more. Although, I've been quite clear I don't agree with it, but that's why we keep seeing that competitors are offering more. Ideally, the UFC would change their pay structure to make to sure they don't get too much flack, but I guess it's not a priority.

I'm a bit gutted about the Dariush news to be honest, I was really looking forward to that fight.
2176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: February 18, 2022, 08:06:37 PM
My predictions were not that bad, I honestly thought I had the Real Madrid vs PSG result correct, up until the last minute of the game. To be honest though, I thought watching the game PSG could have absolutely smashed PSG if they just had their shooting boots on. I must have counted about 3/4 chances were they should've scored, and had multiple open goals, there just wasn't players in the right area when they needed it. Real Madrid aren't going to get to the next round judging by that performance.
2177  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who to believe in trust system. on: February 18, 2022, 06:24:58 PM
I did not provide link let it not be that I am calling out the person. I just use it to understand how trust work. But now Welsh has changed his rating to neutral. Hope I did not make someone unfortunate.
I haven't changed it per say, I've just added another rating which is neutral for the time being. I'll take a look at it in more depth when I've got time. I'll likely leave the old rating there, or change that to neutral depending on further investigation, since that was a legitimate trade at the time.  I at least appreciate the heads up, since I probably wouldn't have revisited it myself.

A good thing you can do is ask the user to sign message and prove himself before you trust him with money. You also can't trust DT with ve+10 for your 100 bitcoin safely, so don't trust anyone easily.
This wouldn't really prove anything, since if it's the original account owner that scammed, signing a message wouldn't prove they're innocent at all.
2178  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who to believe in trust system. on: February 18, 2022, 03:34:07 PM
I've added a neutral trust rating for the moment. I'll need to sit down, and have a look more throughly when I can. However, as for my trust rating, it was back in 2014, it appears up until that point, and a short time after Maidak was completing successful trades without any issues. Only after a certain amount of time after, did Maidak seem to start having issues with several users on the forum.

Unfortunately, a quick glance at the thread doesn't provide me with anything concrete, since the images, and the details have become a little blurred on exactly what happened. So, I've put a neutral tag on him for now.

Again, to echo what others have said, being a staff user should have zero weight when it comes to trust ratings left. Also, I'm not exactly the most active in terms of trading, and I don't actively use the trust system much. It would probably be a good idea if more users left me off their custom trust lists.

However, if there's any issues in the future with any of my ratings or you seek clarification on what my opinion is as of today, then just send a personal message, and I should be able to weigh in.
2179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: February 18, 2022, 03:08:14 PM
They're the best ones. A little money for a lot of fun (potentially at least - not that much fun when the first game lets you down haha). I don't mind throwing 5p at them as they can get quite exciting when the results are coming your way. Sometimes it's worse that with online bookies let you cash out. There's been a fair few times when they've offered me a cash out of £50-£100 from a crappy 5-10p bet or something but I've let it run because you could potential win thousands or even tens of thousands, but obviously you then go on to lose and wish you would have taken the cash when you can. With that being said, I'd rather lose out on that than thousands so that's why 9/10 I let them run.
The worst is when the first game on your accumulator loses, otherwise I pretty much always have fun watching the games with these types of accumulators, and it gets me watching teams I wouldn't have watched without putting a bet on. So, I've actually discovered a few teams which I've come to like, mainly because they've helped me with my accumulators from time to time.

Also, I know this season has been a disaster for me prediction wise i.e haven't even submitted anything, but I will definitely join the next season if you're still running it, and I'll definitely sit down before the season starts, and just predict the entire season, then I'll try, and edit them perodically when I remember. I think that's probably the best approach for me going forward, otherwise I'm just donating my Bitcoin Cheesy.
2180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: February 18, 2022, 03:04:02 PM
According to info from wikipedia, there is no Makhachev vs Green fight in the main event card. On UFC.com Makhachev still fights Dariush on February 26. Does it means that wiki and ufc havent updated card or Makhachev fight has been postponed?

Bobby Green is not in top15. Coming on a short notice against top4. I think everyone already know how this fight will end. Perhaps UFC knows that  this fight wont be interesting to watch and saved Makhachev fight for a better opponent. For Makhachev it is better not to fight and wait for a better opponent. Because if he fights on February, his next fight can probably only be during Summer. Meaning his potential title fight will be in 2023. Not good for 30 y.o fighter. He might become a champion at 31 or 32 only. How many more years of prime Makhachev then will be left for title defenses?
Yeah, Dariush pulled out because of an injury, which is disappointing as I see Makhachev absolutely running through Bobby Green quite easily. Not sure why they just didn't postpone the fight, instead of putting in a fighter who isn't up to the standard, and most definitely is a mismatch even when you take ability out of it. Dariush vs Makhachev I was actually looking forward to, and thought it might be Makhachev's most testing fight in the UFC so far. I don't believe the rumours of Dariush pulling out because he was worried about the fight, this is MMA injuries happen quite frequently, especially in training camps.

Hopefully it gets scheduled again this year.
