He said he needed more time in Everton to make things happen but with such a club as Everton they dont want to gamble to get relegated.
Yeah, but there's not many better on the market at the moment. Lampard, and Ole are the only ones which stick out, and we all know how their careers went. Well, to be fair Lampard's managerial career was better received than Ole's...

Match starting, I won't mind losing this prediction to see a high-scoring draw. Just in that kind of mood.
I'm going with a 2-0 to Chelsea. Brighton just haven't got enough sting in their attack, and Chelsea have one of the best defensive records. Brighton have also conceded at least one in the last few outings. So,  I think going for a 1-0 or 2-0 Chelsea win is sensible.

I'd be shocked if it was a high scoring match with both teams scoring, I can see Chelsea maybe scoring a over three, but they haven't been the best attacking wise this season.
2322  Other / Meta / Re: Monthly Report Statistics on: January 18, 2022, 08:13:10 PM
Thanks for the stats. December, as I expected, turned out to be the most productive month in terms of sending reports. Thanks to all reporters for their activity and contribution to reporting. I also managed to contribute to this December record. I also saw that GazetaBitcoin showed increased activity in sending reports last month. I think in January there will be similar numbers. Or maybe even higher.  Smiley
Hopefully, after my previous statement of it seeming calmer this month I've just handled a lot of reports. Probably around the 500 mark.

Friends, I'm just curious about this possibility, is it possible to report spammers and their posts on the gambling board if I find they only post 100% on the gambling board [without any contribution to the forum] just to qualify for weekly payouts on the campaign?
Yeah, report anything that you believe to be spam. The moderator handling it will use their own discretion. If it's not immediately obvious what your reporting it for, include as much detail as possible. However, in general anyone posting low quality content in order to satisfy their signature campaign quota can be reported to the moderators, as well as the signature campaign manager.
2323  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 18, 2022, 05:57:40 PM
I understand. I thought though that only OPs are allowed to do such posts. So other users can also have multiple posts in a row, if they are made after 24h?
I would probably merge them together if it was myself handling them. Though, moderators tend to handle it differently when it comes to consecutive posts. Sometimes they're deleted, sometimes they're merged, and then sometimes they're left there, and marked bad. Usually, if its not important news, doesn't have much content, and isn't made by the OP it'll be merged, generally.

Hehe, thanks for encouraging me, Welsh! Sadly, my accuracy is not 100%, but I work a lot to get it there. And it is not 100% because when I started making reports I did not pay too much attention and I made a lot of duplicate reports (meaning about 400 bad reports), which took me to an accuracy of only 75%. Since then I am eagerly trying to improve it. Now this is how my stats look like:
Ah well continue how your going, and I'm sure you'll get enough of a theshold to get to that 100 percent. For the most part your reports have been solid.

Another curios aspect you can notice is the very high number of unhandled reports. This is another mill stone I'll have to always carry with me. This is because 1838 of those 1926 unhandled reports will never be handled. They were reported last year or 2 years ago, most of them were for the immense spam from Press board and, for some reason, nobody handled them. And, as reports disappear from the list after one month, now no mod can even see them (assuming that there would be a mod interested in handling those old reports). So I have a "tail" of 1838 unhandled reports which will always follow me. The difference from 1838 to 1926 - these are 88 reports I made a few minutes ago. After they will be processed, the number of unhandled reports will remain 1838...
Yeah, unfortunately even if a moderator was interested in clearing up old unhandled reports, there's no way of doing it. However, I hope you've found a new surge of motivation considering most of your reports are being handled these days! Hopefully that can continue.

Good job! I was not aware that mods clean threads on their own, without having reports. I always thought that they act only based on the receive reports... Do mod act on their own too, or are you a special case? Smiley
Nah, I'm definitely not a special case Cheesy Cheesy. Many moderators delete posts that haven't been reported. The statistics available in Meta though only take into account posts that have been reported. I would say that you could probably double the reports every month, and you won't be far off the total amount deleted. Though, that's just a rough estimation, by no means is that backed up by any sort of data.

And about your cleaning process, I have a suggestion if I may: I would recommend to go post by post, instead of taking all the threads listed in OP and in post #2. It is possible that some to not appear in OP (maybe Rikafip did not consider them worth to be mentioned or simply forgot?; such examples are the SatoshiClub topics mentioned by notblox1 and cleaned by me, but some other ones can be found as well if you go post by post). It may take more time, but if you want to be 100% percent sure you did not miss anything, you should follow this suggestion.
I'll be going through the backlog just so its easier for me to keep track, and then I'll go through the threads that haven't been mentioned in the OP. I also monitor the sections periodically, and delete what I find just by normal browsing. So, while there's an ongoing process of finding this spam, this thread has significantly increased the amount of the backlog being cleared. Same as reports, though I understand not everyone has time to report individually so a thread or reporting just one post is sometimes the only way, which is fine.
2324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 18, 2022, 05:46:57 PM
I find it strange, as there are other fighters who want title fight. Like Askar Askarov. He is on a series of 3 wins in UFC and has 14-0-1 record. Only one draw and to Moreno. But they are not having a rematch. Hard to understand UFC logic.
I wasn't surprised with the first rematch since it was probably one of the most entertaining fights for a neutral. Moreno, and Fig were perfectly matched in the first fight, Moreno adjusted better in the rematch, and I guess Dana just wants to make the most of both of these fighters in their prime delivering good fights. Means more money for the UFC at least.

Didn't Dana announce that PPV prices were going up too?

I wouldn't agree on that one, saying that Giga lost solely because of his inadequate cardio. That's just taking a lot away from Kattars performance. And I honestly think that even with Giga's cardio issues, Kattar still outclassed him with technique.
Definitely wasn't the reason, it was a contributing factor to the fight though. Although, and I hate to do this again, if you consider Conor regarded as one of the best fighters in his prime, but has always suffered with cardio issues, so it can be done with poor pacing.

Kattar's elbows were nothing short of brilliance that night though.
2325  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 18, 2022, 05:20:07 PM
What exactly would be a proof enough that they are paying for those posts? Would maybe table like the one below suffice, to see the clear connection between the accounts and various threads. I mean, for what other reason would same group of (mostly newbie) accounts write on the same group of threads, if not for being paid to do exactly that?
A lot of the time these sort of projects are advertising in their Discords, Telegram or whatever other communication they have. They often offer posting for an incentive. Though, I suspect these particular projects are doing it under the cuff.

I did find some advertising an incentive for posting though, which were removed. I suspect by some of the threads I came across that were already removed for the same reason.

Otherwise, its pretty obvious most of the time when users are posting in the same threads, and they're using the same phrases. Most of the users that are in these threads should now be banned or were already banned. However, its difficult to prove that the people behind the thread are paying for bumping services, despite it probably being quite clear they're. So, I won't be removing any threads that I can't prove are doing it, since that would open up a can of worms for projects trying to frame competitors.

Tables like the one you've linked are useful for banning individual accounts. However, if possible I'd like to get to the source of the problem if possible.
2326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin User Loses Record $1.1M on: January 18, 2022, 05:15:29 PM
Unfortunately, why is that amount of bitcoin still owned by stupid people? LOL
Those that use Bitcoin aren't elitists, it doesn't mean that you have a higher intelligence than someone who uses fiat, and it definitely doesn't require higher intelligence. I personally want to see as many people adopting Bitcoin as possible, and I believe Bitcoin is a little bit too complex if anything. We should be striving to simplify Bitcoin as much as possible without sacrificing security, so that anyone, and everyone can use it without actually having in depth knowledge on it.

Obviously, security is a big concern especially when your in charge of your own wealth. Banks take care of this with fiat, but I suspect this will also be a thing that happens with Bitcoin or at least some sort of movement where people who aren't comfortable being solely responsible for their Bitcoin will be able to use. Using banks would obviously diminish one of the best features of Bitcoin i.e the freedom it allows. However, banks with Bitcoin don't make a whole lot of sense, at least them controlling it, but I can see a sort of multi sign system setup between them to assure no unauthorised spending or access.

Other than over coming the complexity issue, and the potential security compromises simplifying the technology could have, Bitcoin doesn't require any specialist knowledge to use. It only really requires knowledge, and due diligence to secure it correctly. However, note I use the term "knowledge" instead of intelligence, because anyone can gain the knowledge, as it doesn't require a high intelligence to learn, only time, and effort.
2327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 18, 2022, 04:02:59 PM
They say Giga lost because of his bad cardio, and it looks like it was definitely the case. It's quite hurtful when you lose not because your opponent has better technique than you, but by reason of your physical condition, but that's what often happens in sports.
Well, Kattar definitely did look hurt for period of that first round. Though, after that it was a landslide. Tokeweed pointed out his questionable cardio before the fight even happened. He just seems to get too excited, and spends himself in one flurry, which will cost him in the future too he doesn't sort that out.

The thing is he's clearly a talented fighter, that could potentially go on to compete for the belt if he put his mind to it. Although, considering his age, and his current mentality of looking beyond his opponents its not likely to happen. He needs to work on his fight IQ, and that includes spending his energy much more intelligently than he did on the weekend.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Kattar vs Chiga rematch. It was entertaining, and I'll be honest I'm a little curious to see if Giga can adjust or if hes reached his ceiling in terms of potential.
2328  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: if scam happened on: January 18, 2022, 02:27:16 PM
WHO information could theoretically be fake, and there's no point basing your accusations on that. So, the best you can do is contact the domain registrar to get the scam website shut down. While your waiting for that, you should try to warn as many people as possible about the scam website. Finally, reporting to the police is a long shot, and without them actually being able to investigate i.e be in the same jurisdiction, it'll likely turn up fruitless. Though, always worth making an effort to at least report it, just don't expect anything to happen.

Basically, as soon as you come across a scam you should be thinking about prevention rather than recovery, since in the majority of cases where the website is anonymously created, they'll be no way to hold the people who created it responsible.

Realistically all you could do are accept your loss, warn other people and move on. While theoretically you could hire lawyer, it's likely you'll lose even more money and time.
Even if you went the lawyer route, you need to know who's the target before you do that. In the majority of the cases involved with Cryptocurrencies or even fiat, the paper trail so to speak is rather unsubstantial. Therefore, any authority that might have been interested in taking a closer look will soon give up to lack of evidence, and a lawyer will do the same.

Targeting the registrar for compensation from the scam would likely be a waste of time too, and probably wouldn't be taken on by the majority of lawyers.
2329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 18, 2022, 02:10:17 PM
Rafa is quite an overrated manager (in my personal opinion). Yes, he is winning UCL with Liverpool, to be honest with a lot of luck. besides what he did significantly? wherever he was, he was sacked very quickly. After the Liverpool period, he leads Inter, Real, Chelsea, Everton, Napoli it had below-average results everywhere. Maximum one year in each of these clubs. (I'm not considering Newcastle and Dalian Chinese club, because they may be happy with the average results)
He's not a top manager, but he isn't terrible at what he does. His tactics can be somewhat questionable at times, especially with Everton. However, he's more of a defensive manager in my opinion, which suits lower placed teams in the league which is probably backed up by him Championship with Newcastle.

Though, his resume isn't awful. one Champions league, two Uefa Cups, Fifa club world cup if you care about that, and Championship. I believe he also won a Community Shield too. He's not someone that Liverpool should be hiring, but at the time he managed us we wasn't a top team, we were a team that could challenge for top four. Now, our expectations as fans, and the players themselves will be title challengers every season. He doesn't really suit either of those expectations, instead he suits teams like  Newcastle or Championship sides looking to get promoted.
2330  Economy / Reputation / Re: [LIST] ANN threads that are using bumping services on: January 18, 2022, 01:24:58 PM
Depending on the moderator handling the reports, they might merge the posts together or they might simply mark the report as bad. Really does depend on the context, and the moderator that's handling the report. Although, what Rizzrack said is probably accurate in this case.

Don't worry too much about it, if you pick up a bad report here, and there. I know it can be a pain to your score, but I suspect when your reporting this many posts accurately your probably at 100% accuracy regardless.

On a side note, I expect to be going through the majority of threads today. Hopefully, they'll be a big clean up by the end of the day.

Current progress: The majority of the threads between 81 - 149 should be pretty much clean. Although, I do need to merge a few of the posts together which I'll do later after getting the majority of the spam deleted.

I do need to revisit a few problematic threads though so not 100 percent of that range will be perfectly cleared right now. The problematic threads are just some of the larger ones which need a little more scrutiny.

Also, I'll be looking to do further digging on quite a few of them, to see if they're indeed paying for these posts. If anyone can also help prove that, let us know.
2331  Other / Meta / Re: Monthly Report Statistics on: January 18, 2022, 01:20:07 PM
One of the members responsible for that increase is definitely @GazetaBitcoin. He has been very active lately in cleaning the altcoin section from all that paid redundant crap, based on this list. For example, just yesterday he reported 2255 posts, which is insane number. Majority of people don't report that much in a year, let alone a day or two.
Yeah, I probably handled over 2000 of their reports last period, and no doubt other staff also handled a lot of them. So, that definitely played a part in the final statistics. Though, I suspect that there were other areas in the forum which were pretty busy last month.

I suspect this month judging on the reports I've seen myself, and bare in mind I don't see all sections. I expect lower figures this month, but definitely a little more than previous months. Though, that's based on the amount I've seen currently, the period is far from over yet.
2332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: January 18, 2022, 01:16:01 PM
I would say that is extremely difficult for Liverpool to become Champions of Premier League this year but just one or two mistakes from Manchester City and boom Liverpool is right behind their tail if Liverpool starts to not perform weakly when playing outside Anfield Road.So far they have been very inconsistent in results when playing away from home and that is what is keeping them right now 11 points behind Manchester City, not impossible to overturn the situation but extremely difficult.
If we win the game in hand, I would be silently confident of our chances. Manchester City aren't invincible, and few times already this season they've shown that they're quite fragile in certain areas, and with the current climate with Covid they only have to start picking up injuries, and Covid cases.

Obviously, the Premier League seem to be quite lenient on the postponement of games until Covid cases have been cleared up, but I suspect they'll drop quite a few points. Although, I'm not that confident in Liverpool picking up points against Crystal Palace this weekend. So, that's not a great start to my optimism.

No words for Rafa. Imagine living in a city where both clubs sacked you,,, it will be hard on him.
Most Liverpool fans I know like Rafa. Obviously, Everton never really liked him even when he was first appointed. It was always going to end in disaster, and even if he delivered the results he wouldn't have ever got all of their support.
2333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 18, 2022, 01:11:47 PM
I always forget about how long Chikadze has been around, and no doubt before this fight he was considered one of the better fighters. Although, I actually think his recent claim to fame has been challenging Alex Volk, and a bunch of other fighters which are clearly out of his league. I'm wondering whether he suspects its his only chance to get a belt, because times running out for him age wise.

I only looked at Chikadze's age the other day, and I just checked again, and I'm still surprised. I don't know why, it just seems like hes a younger fighter than he is.
2334  Other / Meta / Re: Monthly Report Statistics on: January 18, 2022, 12:51:21 PM
Mixture of new users reporting, and users which used to report quite frequently returning probably played a little into this. I actually think since hilariousandco has released these statistics we've seen a little more reports, but also reports from users which seemed to have a long extended break prior the releasing the stats.

Hopefully we continue to hit high number reports per month.

This is astonishing - We went from a total of 8.264 reports to 21.562 reports in just a month! That's a 160.91% increase! Is it usually like this in this time of the year or something else happened (since the word "handled" is used, I assume it means that some reports could have come from a backlog?)
Not many from a backlog. Some unhandled reports could inflate certain months depending on the time theymos uses to determine each period.
2335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 17, 2022, 04:31:50 AM
I'm still unsure if Ngannou or Gane for UFC 270. I might just bet on under 2.5 and by KO/TKO.
Head says Gane, while the heart is telling me Ngannou. Ngannou does seem distracted about his contract, and specifically how much he can earn. I'm wondering if his heart is to be questioned, and he might fall victim to looking beyond this fight. Gane I don't see knockout out Ngannou, but I absolutely see him out boxing, and working Ngannou to a unanimous decision which is likely the bet I'll make.

For the co-main event, I'm taking Figueiredo.
I feel like its probably Figueiredo turn this time around, I just can't bet against Moreno. Their first fight could have been fight of the year, and I believe it did get fight of the night. The second fight I wasn't expecting a submission from Moreno, but it happened. Its either going to be Figs turn to get a win or Moreno completing the set with a surprise knockout?
2336  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin makes a loser a winner on: January 16, 2022, 07:07:46 PM
This sort of post reminds me of the days of some individuals who were doing the faucets every hour and getting several bitcoins for it.
To think that was only ten years ago just goes to show how far satoshi's project has gone.
But then again those gamers probably traded them for an ingame item or worst, forgot where they put them.
Yeah, most people that were earning that amount probably didn't realise how much potential Bitcoin had. Especially, when in align with the OPs post were rewarded it, but wasn't actively pursuing it.

Its good to see these days we're seeing more, and more people understand the true worth of Bitcoin, and that's not correlated with the current price of Bitcoin at all.

I did some digging and it seems that out of the four players that were supposed to receive a consolation prize of 25BTC each [worth $41.75 at the time], one of them [Szikszai "Sziky" Miklós] didn't take it [source - not sure for the other three]!
Makes sense actually; back then if you didn't know or care about Bitcoin you probably wasn't going to create a wallet just to receive a bunch of internet money. I expect the other three if they wasn't involved in Bitcoin prior to entering the competition, they probably didn't take up the reward either.

Yes, I noticed some of the accounts I reported were nuked. That's good.
I'm sure they'll try again with new accounts, but I believe we can make a difference if we join forces. It's great to have you with us, Welsh.  Smiley
Busy week this week, but I'll probably look at all of these threads in the coming weeks. Hopefully by then, we'll only be dealing with new users rather than cleaning up old threads. Feel free to continue reporting that way other moderators can handle them, but if not I'll be going through them slowly regardless. I've cleaned up two threads as of now, with one of them being removed completely. Also, probably some of the threads that were mass reported by users have already been pretty much cleaned up.

What do you think about the new President of America?

Now what in the world does this have to do with those topics? =)))))))
Yeah, there's been a few users that use this exact same sentence, and should all be nuked. There's also varying other phrases which are similar, which again the users should all be nuked.
2338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Cup of Nation Discussion Thread || Current discussion: Group Stage. on: January 16, 2022, 06:58:20 PM
I haven't been keeping up to date with the matches themselves, since they aren't on at very convenient times for me. However, I see that Mane, Salah, and Keita from Liverpool have picked up Man Of The Match awards already. I did catch some of the highlights from the Egypt game against Guinea-Bissau from what I could see Egypt aren't particularly playing well, and were largely bailed out because of Salah's brilliance, which I won't deny has happened a few times at Liverpool.

Senegal on the other hand have looked pretty good collectively. Think they have the best chance of winning the tournament out of the three as long as they can keep Mane performing well.
2339  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uruguay installs its first Bitcoin ATM on: January 16, 2022, 06:51:14 PM
I've never really looked into the ATMs in enough depth, but when withdrawing Bitcoin i.e putting in cash, and wanting to receive Bitcoin. How does it handle address generation or are you required to input the address yourself, which just sounds a little risky due to the complexity of Bitcoin addresses.

Great news, another big win for the crypto community indeed. A major concern for me is that scammers may take advantage and focus attention on the new and naive crypto community that will spring up in Uruguay. I mean with the installation of these ATM's, some can easily be swindled into depositing cash and transferring to unknown address.
I'm not sure how that would happen specifically concerning ATM usage. However, people getting scammed using cryptocurrency is only probably slightly more probable than that with fiat, that's simply because its a little more confusing, and is a relatively new technology to most people. This should get better with increased adoption, which things like ATMs will encourage.

Weird. I don't think I've ever come across this piece of software, although it looks like its been quite fleshed out. Good find.

This page isn't working currently, but I'm assuming this is where you would find the hash, and be able to verify the installations/versions.

May I assume you're involved into this? Is it your work?
I'm assuming based on OP stating they haven't found a way to verify the download, I expect not.
