Yes it is correct. Sometimes the hardest thing about saving money is just getting started. It can be difficult to figure out simple ways to save money and how to use your savings to achieve your financial goals. Most of the time if one slightly change in daily spending then we can save quite a good money but it is totally depends on individuals.

There are so many ways to save the money. First figure out what are your monthly expenses then make a list of them, cut down the unnecessary expenses, at the end you will come to know how much you have to spend for a month. Set some short term and long term saving plans and start your saving. Invest your money in retirement fund, gold, buy fixed assets, mutual funds and some emergency funds.

People dont do the basics, and they will be amazed how much they see the difference if they did.

I know for me, I saved $45 alone on going out less, each week when I would normally would. You add that up, I can pretty much buy a game console eventually.

Just avoid spending money on things that you won't need for a long time. Materialistic ideology is very bad.

You know if the world did this, everything would stop.

Because what youre saying intially is to stop doing commerce. But, like that other person said, its impossible. You see plenty of college kids running around with their loans to get a new car instead or something else.

1. stop asking for loans because interest will add burden to your financial problem
2. stop going to discounts shop, actually you are not getting a discount because most of the ones with discounts are going to expire (food) or materials used are cheap (clothes shoes).
3. you need to know which among you plan to purchase in the future is a need or want. Buy the one's that you need, set aside the ones you just want.

Not all discounted shop have a low quality of raw materials some times they give a promo or discount so that people will patronize their shop, and thats right stop getting loan because loans can't help you to save, its better to earn than to borrow money.

What you said is correct. Not only for money saving but for any new things to implement the starting point is very hardest part. But once started then they slowly start improving their plans.

I think you understood above question completely in wrong way. The question is how to save money not how to keep money safely. Please read the thread clearly before start posting some thing which is completely not relevant to the topic.

just keep the 10-20% of your money in a different place and spend your rest of the funds and after a year when you will save 20% of your earning every month then withdrawal it at the end of the year

Despite that great remark.

Most will never be able to do this. Just like how you see people line up the latest 8th version of a iphone, they still will go grab it.

Phones are very addictive and one of the biggest sources of stupid usage of money. I have been with the same phone since more than 5 years and only now im getting to a point where trying to browse the internet with it is just a massive chore and might be forced to upgrade. I hope that after this I dont need to upgrade again.

Avoid installment purchases. Interest will kill you, just imagine if you buy a car in a 5 year installment plan.
Add on after the cash price is somewhere between 30-40%.
For a motorbike, total pay for a 3 year installment plan is almost double. That's in our country.

gambling isnt that bad if you know when to get out,but most people just get stuck in the mentality that they are ALWAYS going to increase their money and thats the downfall.

Gambling makes you greedy because you end up spending a lot of coins with the hopes of winning. However, it is more risk than what you earn. That's why the best choice is to save your coins into a paper wallet and come back after 2-3 years for a hopefully increase in price  Grin
