Thanks! I updated to minepeon 0.2.4.2. I get a lot of Hardware Errors with the antminer. More errors than accepted shares. Is this normal, cause it's not yet been up to date?

Minepeon with my antminers are currently showing 1.25Gh per stick with error rate @ 40% I hope the next version will fix this error rate and hopefully give me @ 1.8Gh and error rate less than 1% There is a CGminer version from antminer that will improve these figures, but it is not the easiest to apply. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=390929.msg4250179#msg4250179

I already tried to follow these steps. I failed at "sudo apt-get install libusb-1.0" cause minepeon said that apt-get is not a valid command.

"apt-get" can not work. "apt-get" is a Debian and Ubuntu command. But MinePeon is based on Arch Linux. See: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman for Arch Linux packet management syntax and examples.

So this is probably not Minepeon related but I am running it on my PI and having some issues.
I have a very good volt/amp plug, the PI in an Antiberi or whatever case, Ethernet connected to switch 1 USB hub (DLink HUB-7 or whatever powered one) connected to PI and another of the Dlinks connected to the back "charging" part of the first. I have 10 Antminers between the two. The system runs for usually about an hour or so then it just dies (now since it is headless it could just lose internet) but miners stop mining etc. It happens so random I can't catch it. Now I tried splitting them up more with 1 Dlink 3 ANT chained to another DLink 3 chained to another Dlink with 4. Different variations of that setup, tried with my bitfury's connected with those and the system did the crash thing within 10 minutes. Tried splitting the USB's into each port, same result.
I've read that overloading USB with to much data can own the ethernet port. Should I just drop it and use my wireless card I have?
Thanks if anyone can help on it!

Should I just drop it and use my wireless Wireless would probably make it 10x worse unfortunately, probably the next step in your debugging will be to plug both of your hubs directly into the Pi. It is best practice whenever possible to not chain USB hubs. Neil

Neil Tried this as well. The Dlink's are the Powered USB 2.0 ones that you see all the PI builds use. If they were not powered I'd chalk it up to that instantly. Also I have a separate USB hub just powered by the house power no USB (Rosewill or whatever) with fans on them to cool the Antminers. The other major issue I had was running Stratum-Proxy it will run but between just that and cgminer it like CRAWLS to support one AsicMiner Cube going through. I have to run it currently on my desktop so it can hash. I use to be a linux guy (but this was 12 years ago maybe more lol. Slackware, freebsd, etc). I may image the SD card again tonight but not sure everything seems sooo slow even writing the image sometimes. But to compile anything takes forever. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008XVAVAW/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1This is what I bought. I've replaced the power side and of course card is formated running Minepeon. You don't think a janky SD card could cause the issues + slow do you?

Your thoughts on SD cards may be spot on, I have seen all sorts of odd behavior when a card goes bad.
Stick a new one in and see if the problem disappears.

Appreciate all the work you've put into this! I have recently had to replace an SD card for my Pi, they do eventually fail. I have a batch of used 2Gb from ebay, so no great deal about failures. ( I always have a spare kept up to date) Also one of my d-link hubs has suddenly decided to shut down one of my BlueFurys, so now it is 5+4+1 (previously for 2 months 5+5) maybe the wall wart is starting to give up as well. I have also just added a TwinFury so that lives well on the 3rd hub.

Any News on the IceFurys?
Grrrr...... I have been working on this all weekend (it is Sunday here). The Bad News: hidapi (for bfgminer) looks to be a bust on ARM architectures, I have tried it on several different device types with varying results, anything from crashes to unstability. Deffinatly nothing you would want to trust your mining gear to. The Good News: Technobit released a patch for cgminer 3.8.5 that basically ports Luke's bfgminer nano code to cgminer WITHOUT hidapi (proving in my mind it is not Luke's code, but hidapi) and it rocks, it runs nano devices at 2.5 GH/s + . The Bad News About The Good News: it requires you slow down the USB port to 1.1 speed's AND it does not play well with other devices, so it will run the nano's but no other mining devices. Anyway, still working on a solution. One possibility that I am working on is to add a third miner option in the settings page that runs the nano's, but only the nano's. It would also require you to edit a file in /boot/ to drop your USB speed. Neil

Hmmm, that sounds difficult.
But as I have one workless RPI around here, it would be a Solution for me.
I think you deserve some extra donation hours! Or maybe Days. Someone to join me in this?

The more "rPi" we buy, the less "windows" we need. Neil gets a pay rise for each "peon" installed. Bill Gates gets a pension cut for each "windows" left on the shelf. Win Win all round.

3 days solid mining here on the BBB with hidapi on Debian. Mining like a champ with two IceFurys, and two Jalapenos. Currently just using MinePeon to proxy my ASICMiners, Pi is plugged in to the USB port on the back of my Airport Extreme. Working like a little champ, though the heat from the Airport is pushing the Pi up to 58-60C, even with heat sinks on the Pi's chips.

Neil I bought a new SanDisk Extreme Pro SDHC card and installed. It is def. stable and loads better now, but the stratum proxy still is moving at 2mph. I am pushing one (tomorrow will be two) AsicMiner Cube's through it. Somewhat of a network guy but everything is behind a Sophos UTM so I know there is no routing issues (esp since on my desktop I have no issues). Is there something with Python2 (I have to modify the scripts to work since it tries to envoke python (/usr/bin/env python to /usr/bin/python2) to get it to start. Do you know of a better program for this?
I will be switching back to BFGMiner when they get their Antminer drivers going since my BiFury and Ice Fury won't get picked up in CGMiner (the version I have to run to get Antminers to work). I'll try the built in Proxy on that here soon (granted the next update works fine on the PI).
Thanks again and I am not here to bitch just giving status update that the new card helped MUCHO lol. 21meg write speeds compared to 9meg when flashing LOL!

I have new pi enroute to run my drill bit and my other pi is running bfgminer with a jala and a cube though the proxy. Maybe someday I can get back to just one....

A few additional steps are necessary to make it work so I have written a wiki page detailing them and it is available here;- http://minepeon.com/index.php/Cgminer-HEXuEnjoy! Neil
