First 2 are here: 1)philipma1957 2)valkir put in a name no obligation or coins for now. 3)wlefever 4)-droid- (1 for sure, maybe 2 or 3)-------first batch will be 1 5) 6) As of today Philipma1957 Wherever Sloppy They should get to kilo17 this Friday hold some coins. To be ready. For some reason my reply was deleted. Please add me to the request list Phil. Note I am on a crappy tablet so post looks screwy. I will clean it up. I have had cancels so we have three names for three units. Please post if I missed you and you want in.

I would like to be considered for a Avalon6, not sure if my initial request made it through to anyone.
One for right now. If the 6 proves as solid as the 4.1 I will most likely purchase another one.

I`m not trolling but why would you buy one of these units . ? aside from getting them it 1-2 weeks earlier than the competion. it`s slower, more expensive and uses more power. aside from being a new different toy. am i missing something .?

You are not missing something, pretty much another toy :p But, if it can underclock like people suspect, its my understanding that it will give a better GH/W ratio. Making it more sustainable over time.

It did I just have had pm's and emails with a few cancels. So when I got a little few time I started to review list. I will get to my pc in about an hour and I prefer it to the tablet I am on at the moment. ______________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________ ______ ___________________________________________________________________

Making it more sustainable over time. If it lets us do .18 watts via underclocking and downvolting it will be very decent gear. the usefull life time gets extended by 3 to 6 months. the avalon 6 will have a tough time beating my batch 2 unit from bitmaintech .--------- It needs to be able to go to .18 wattsmy two s-7's batch 1 and batch 2 -----------------the batch turns out to be a good deal for me. the batch 2 is listed as freq 575 boards and does freq 606 quite well. but bitmaintech does not sell a 4860gh version any more.

Something interesting to ordering if they give everyone the same quote it looks like 50 is the magic number: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1171705.msg12931603#msg12931603Unit Cost: For a group buy of moderate size they can do $1350/unit, raspberry pis included. We may get a small additional discount if we get a buttload of them (50+).
Shipping Cost: If we get less than 50 units it will cost $50/unit (via UPS, ew), If we get over 50 units they can ship via air freight. That's ~$20 a unit, and can get lower if we buy more. If we got 100 units (I know, it's a big ask), I've been told it goes down to $10 per unit.

I was wondering, does anyone have a dead Avalon3 module (the 50 chip 290GH/s thing)? I would like to get a heatsink off one and solder down some 1.5mm copper tubes into the fins and make a watercooling block out of them..
come to think of it, should ask this in the market place..

Yeah but I don't control the unit I am locked into a Canada location. I may get one from them. But to be honest I want some from kilo17 even if I pay a bit more. There is nothing like the sound of miners in the morning. @ kilo17 are the units on schedule for this Fri ?

... ...There is nothing like the sound of miners in the morning. ...
nothing like waking up to the fans going into high speed from a failure can't happen if fans are manual set. but the fans could be silent and that means trouble. I never auto set a fan on mining gear that allows for a manual number. I set the manual number pretty high and if they stop I get nervous.

By spec, if the PWM line is not connected the fan goes to 100% - has nothing to do with the controller. Personally, I don't see the point of running the fans at less than max - keeps the unit cooler for better longevity - but noise isn't an issue for me. By multiple reports, there ARE PWM fans out there that do NOT follow the spec, be sure to check your fans before you trust them to go 100% with no input to the PWM line.

I may get one for review purposes very soon.
Then we will know the under volt down clock advantages that it should (no proof yet) have over the s-7
I exchanged pms with kilo17 and he has his coming in by weds.

I just brought it up as I would hope they cut the price some on a medium order like this. If they are charging 1500 + shipping on 25 units or so might want to try to renegotiate. I may get one for review purposes very soon.

That would be great if you do I would love to see how they do compared to S7 would be a good review.
