Yeah it works ionly with some gpus.
Custom bios with offset works always.

tytanick, thanks for the info and repair. I did not know it contained anything private, I already deleted it. Otherwise, this can be a frequent problem, I sent BTC immediately, within seconds, but confirmation takes several hours

I am having an issue I haven't seen anyone else have as I have read/scanned through this thread, and I have been messing with it all night. 


I have two rigs with 6 rx470's each,and thanks to simple miner os, I had them all mining at the same time.    However when I dual mine with claymore 9.3 eth+dcr my mhz on cards on one rig stay at 7xxmhz instead of the 1100 or so I have them at.  I believe this is why the hashrate is low on one rig when I dual mine.  The one having issues are visiontek 4gb 470s on an ASUS h170 progamer board. 

However I can use the eth miner just fine with the hashrate i'd expect for non-flashed/not overclocked cards.    Any input is welcome!

Didnt have an issue with cards in windows 10 however I have never had all of them working.  Thank you again!  btw I am happy to donate/pay fee for your excellent service/software!

i am a MSI Z170a gaming G5 with 7 rx470 gpus. for use them on windows i have to eneble in the bios the option 4G Decoding + Windows 8.1 / 10 support = Enabled... so windows can see all the gpus.

i tryed to start your simpleminig software with out success.

1.- i used factory standard configuration in the bios + the usb drive with SM Software start, the miner start and the software see al 7 gpus but the gpus in the miner (claymore 9.3) have 0 Mh.
2.- i used factory standard configuration in the bios + the usb drive with SM Software start with 4 GPUS.... the miner works fine.
3.- i tryed the same bios configuration that i used for mining on windows 10, (4G Decoding + Windows 8.1 / 10 support = Enabled), the usb drive is not recognized. (i suppouse because the windows 8.1/10 support in bios, only support UFI divices, and the usb image is not
4.- i disable in the bios the windows 8.1/10 support and leave the 4G Decoding. the usb is recongnized, but after the boot menu the software freeze.


any idea how can i fix this problem ?

For those waiting on the info for the MSI Z170A M5 Gaming board and 7x GPU support I finally have it working on both of my boards.

1) Make sure you're running the latest BIOS!
2) Enable 4G
3) Set PCIe support to "Auto" - DO NOT MANUALLY SET TO GEN1. THIS CAUSES MAJOR ISSUES
4) Enable onboard graphics startup as first! I believe this is changing "PEG" to "IGD" or something in the Advanced BIOS
5) Plug your monitor into the ONBOARD graphics
6) Use either simpleminer-RX-v1093-4.11.rc8-16.60-enableexe0ANDips0.imgc or simpleminer-RX-v1093-4.11.rc8-16.60-enablerc60.imgc (sorry, I don't remember which I used!)

My 14x GPUs have been stable all night long!

Hello OP, I think what you've done here is impressive. What is your model? You say it's free now but will charge a dollar in the future, is this correct? What will you do if people just stick with the older versions for free?

Also, what is this OS based off of and what license?

I spent a good bit of the day futzing with that machine and I'm convinced that it's just not going to support 7 cards until MSI releases a new bios that's going to allow us to disable the SATA controller. I have several z98 boards from them that support 7 cards and in each case, the option that allows use of the 7th card is the ability to disable the SATA controller.

With 7 cards on the z170a, you can get 7 cards to show up in the OS and Claymore but as soon as a stress is put on the cards, you start to see weirdness with the OS like hangups or dropping network. I believe this is due to a resource constraint. Possibly interrupts or memory addresses. I went through the OS and ensured that everything that could be disabled was. That included: Audio, HPTimer, and the Serial port. Could be that the next BIOS from MSI fixes things. Only time will tell.

The highlight of the day had to be the new USB risers. Back in 2013/2014, those were crazy expensive and difficult to get. Now days, they're cheaper than the risers I bought years ago. These new ones popped right in and replaced the older risers AND the jumper wires I'd had to put in the PCIe slots to force the motherboard to see the cards.

That's interesting. I still have not yet had time to take another look at the board (and still won't tonight ) plus it seems Amazon is delaying my new risers until Friday. Come Saturday I will be totally focused on this and building my datacenter so I hopefully will have more info then.

I RMAed my biostart tb85 because I thought it was defective. On simplemining I could not get the card 0 (PCI 16 slot) to run over 8 hash. I tired this with multiple cards so I know those are fine. BUT the new board is now doing the same thing. All other slots are getting 25 hash with no problem and ran for over a week without any errors. With 5 cards it runs fine but as soon as I plug in the X16 slot that 6th card runs awful. Any help would be great!

Settings:
-Stock BIOS
-No overclocks
-Power level 5
Also note:

On simple miner I cant get the core or mem clock on GPU 0 (X16 slot) to go over 300/600 even with stock clock and mem settings in place.

Can you test PCI-E Mode to Auto, gen1, gen2 and see if it will help ?


Also i just tested MSI Z270-A PRO.
It is working under my OS with 6 GPU.
I had to make some adjustments and the newest image (RX) from simplemining.net page is working ok with this board

Tytanick can you share your settings for MSI Z270-A Pro i am trying to use it on simplemining.net however it does not work for me. I have 6 RX 570.
Let me know any specific BIOS mod and settings thank you.

I can use 3 cards successfully however with 4 I get Mutex lock error also when I enable 4G decoding to Enable in settings the screen just crashes and has multi color.

Yes, I gues Pandaminers with 8 gpus ? If not then other configurations, yes.

it must have latest firmware !!!
4g encoding.
make integrated gpu as default
disable audio
set pci-gen to auto or 1 or 2 (dont renember right now )
If you will still have problem i will look into my bios  tell me if this worked for you.

Can you try setting in Overclock:
1100/1900 and powerstage to 6 or 7
If this wont help try setting, also after you set those numbers please do "reboot"

You need to have custom bios with added offset - wolf0 is doing those.

About payments i think i will rebuild the pay system as it current stage it brings more problems than i thought
Many people are choosing for example 2$, then special transaction number and account is generated but it will be credited only when you pay exact amount of cash
If you send from exchange then exahcnge is taking some fee and this temporary transaction account receives little less amount of cash so it isnt fully paid
In that case i will look into little different idea becasue simple is key in my system as i dont like to make complicated things right ?
Also i guess i wont be accepting bitcoin as many transactions are not beeing confirmed by the network

Yes I have attempted to set clock in overclock setting my memory runs at 1750, so I am not sure 1900 is best setting for mem, but I tried that anyway, but it reverts to 751 only when I dual mine on one rig.  Powerstage set to 7, no change at all.  If remove the dcr command line and use claymore 9.3, it will mine just eth at a normal hashrate.  I've rebooted 40+ times.    I am not sure what you mean by core:6  memory:0    but I tried setting core clock to 6 and memory to 0 and rebooting, and it launched with a core clock of 300 and didn't hash well.  When I increase it, it the core clock will never go above 751 while dual mining.  

  The other rig that works well has different rx470's and a different main board, asrock h97(no problems at all).  

** update   I've also tried the beta updates for kernal and amd driver, no change.  I have also removed 3 cards, and still no change while dual mining.  Any suggestions are welcome
