Also how about this, how about we just run the damn purchase on the day we have the orders ready to ship (aside the obvious additional that has had to be made) - what's the difference sale on Tues, or Fri? Nothing in the grand scheme, aside we just had a stock count saw what was available and we feasibly had to keep aside for RMAs in future, and three days of whinging. Just be cool, and enjoy the wknd, something  I haven't had a chance to do a very long time!!

Sounds like a great idea, but you wouldn't do it because it puts all the risk on KNC.

It's not a big deal, it's just about doing what you say you are going to do.

Not going to bore you with all the math of an additional 3 day delay.

Just do what you say you are going to do and your stock rises 10 fold.

Still think you are doing a great job and still appreciate all your efforts.

Cheers bro, but so you know they're on top of shiz i will post a pic of what i.m currently surrounded by in two secs.

Make my day! Say thanks if you found me helpful Smiley BTC Address --->

I got briefly excited when the fans arrived.

Where are mah modules!!1

Side note:  I can't tell a difference between the I30 and the A30.  The fan is on there really sturdy.
Wow. Complains about knc constantly and then buys a ton more of their goods. That's the definition of hypocracy.

For the record, I held my nose when ordering.  Something inside me said they wouldn't have them by Friday.  Not sure why the 200 couldn't ship based on order#.

It is certainly annoying paying @ 350 spot for something promised this week and it is now almost $100 higher with nothing churning till at least Wed/Thurs now of next week.

There needs to be a 50% down & 50% before delivery option in the future.  Then the risk isn't entirely on the investomer.

Pffft. Last time i'm saying this. This is not an investment, we are not selling investments, that's a grey area that is going to bite companies that make such irresponsible claims. The BTC price is out of our hands as it is anyone else that sells something for a future delivery. This is hardware that was originally priced upon recovering the Non reoccuring engineering costs divisible by the number of peeps that showed interest in the first month of pre-subscription. Which was why those guys were given first dibs with ordering. By proving a 1,000 people existed with genuine intent, KnC could approach ORSoC, the rest you know.

140gh x modules x days missed compensation after Friday would help me enjoy the weekend a lot more.  Even Sonny @ BFL paid for lost mining time when a device went down.

Watching KnC brag about the 8 figures they sold in mining equipment would be a lot easier to swallow then.  This doesn't include the 5% from sales that owners are mining with.

Compensation for screw-ups would solve a lot of frustration.

why the hell choose any brand for a psu, any good psu will do
i personally buy anything with good stats corsair, ocz, antec you just need to check how the psu is build and how much they actually can deliver on the lanes they have
I have my small antec quattro here which delivers 6 rails with each capable of feeding 30 amp max and 170 max on the 3.3=5 volts rail.
This psu has one major drawback however because it has no power on/off switch.
But in general this monster has no had no problem feeding my 4 gpu system at all.

It got a robot psu switch and i am very happy with that solution

My question is what is going to happen with the upgrade modules are they now also on hold
And what does this it mean for the delivery of the upgrade modules effectively
As i read that it seems the building of the november orders miners seem to go first and as i understood it the upgrade modules are being send when the orders are finished on the miners.
Would that mean another month of waiting or ?

I have posted alot of questions towards knc but the time it takes to get an answer is insane long, i think the communication towards the community has to pick up some pace.
Its easy for them to prevent many emails and phone calls if they communicate onto the forums.
but as of yet on non of the actual communcations i see any of the knc people actually post at all besides the initial posts from sam cole.

Its so simple to add some information when you are going to sell a product, so people do not NEED to ask whats included
I do not wanna see a post from some forum member and to be honest alot of them are on my ignore list.

I want to see relevant information which make us clear what is going on.
Everytime they post something instant many questions pop up which should not be needed if the info was more clear towards us customers.

Again this is not a rant but a real concern, knc would have less a problem with people calling and sending emails if the info was not all the time in crypto language.

I took almost 3 weeks to get an answer from knc and what was said as a answer was not even an answer at all on my questions

@ anyone w/jupiter - what are you using for the 4th module with your V850s?

mine came with 3 'twin' connectors, so im using one connector 'twice' and it is HOT!

Twin molex to PCI-E is one solution.
Or I read that you can use one of the CPU slots to plug an additional PCI-E cable there (if you have any), but do your own research for that as I cannot be held responsible for any damages.

Btw if you send an email to Cooler Master to request additional PCI-E cables they will be happy to send you some. I'm currently waiting 7 to arrive:

Bless you, I'll email them immediately.

i saw the 2 molex - pci-e option in 2011 but not comfortable trying it on the jupiter

was curious what others are using - the twin method works but less than ideal, especially with an empty pci-e slot right thurr

what are you using to power ur extras, a second psu?

I would not use PCI-E to molex adaptors for a jupiter. those were designed with the 75W PCI-E limit in mind, and a single jupiter ASIC draws far more than 75w

Agreed, just use the 8-pin CPU connector, just upside down

I use these: NEW PCI-E 6 PIN DAISY CONNECTOR ---6"+18", ebay# 251063236572.  Has two of the needed gender and one of the other.  Plug one into the other gender making a loop then cut at bottom of loop.  Double wires to a single 6 pin PCI-E connector.  I wire to a 12 volt supply.

On the deadbeats not paying comment, it's pretty simple in my mind, your partial up front payment gets your order locked, and when the product is ready to be built, you require the remainder of the payment.

In the online customer profile you just have them enter their BTC payment address, which immediately ties it to their shipping address/account info.

Blockchain shows the full payment made from their address.

While I don't know the inner workings of the company, this solves most of the issues proposed. In fact you could provide the option for folks who don't care about order queue, and even charge a smige higher premium for this.

It's not a new model, it's used around the world, and is being used by some other companies on this forum right now.

Just a thought.

again, when i bought a mercury i knew it was going to be upgradable, but not a one time fire sale that lasted 3 minutes and couldn't even pay properly. not cool.

^-- Agree with the spirit of that.

Orama, do you guys have any comment as to why the business model is to still take 100% payment for things which are in the distance for shipping? Why not a 25/75, 60/40, etc? I could understand a few days for handling time, but when you're talking weeks or a month, there's capital gains involved.

I don't follow sorry, please elaborate on what you mean.

Some up front, some before delivery.  A lot of people lost buying miners @ spot prices 3x lower.

Because some deadbeats don't pay, there were loads of issues with the VAT payments being withheld as people 'promised' they were in the process of setting up businesses to obtain a VAT number with the premise that the miners would ship regardless. There was a lot of chasing up there, and then whinging as people were placed at the back of the queue as they had't completed payment and therefore were not in the queue position they envisaged.

Queue placement is based upon full order payment. It's fair.

EDIT: and as above states. Logistical nightmare. We all understand the need to get these in peeps hands, therefore keep it clean, simple and organised. Don't mess around and then blame customer service as has frequently been witnessed here.
And to get that off my chest: VAT is NOT part of the full payment to the company. VAT CAN be paid until the order is ready to get shipped AND it is not in any way correct to place people at the end of some imaginary queue if they pay said VAT later (but before shipment). VAT is money paid to the government of the respective receivers country and as such not included in the order.
In easy words: Not companys money, they are only the holders of it until it is paid to the respective country.

Reality is they piss about and waste everyone's time, tying up customer services when they could be helping paying customers who are a lot less hassle instead f chasing unpaid orders to hear a BS excuse, but want the order held for eternity, or have a change of heart, etc. Keep it simple, pay for your goods, get your goods, and streamline with unnecessary obstacles so that area doesn't need to delay others who do pay and don't have a problem with paying.

Actually I'd say; complains about knc constantly and doesn't actually own any of their goods is the definition of hypocrisy...

fancy seeing you around here sir  Wink

sadly 4 of them are going to join the rest with their real owner, I just got to broker the deal and run 4 alongside mine for a few days.

They are all going out somewhere new tonight with larger power. would have loved to set them all up but my home power does not allow.

@KNC or @Bitcoinorama: Does this delay also apply to the upgrade modules? Will the shipping of the upgrade modules begin with, before or after shipping of regular november orders?

Guy's I'll be honest and say. If you have a November batch and want to take full advantage, I'd be sourcing 1200w PSUs.

I'd still avoid the Cosair HX Series. You'd prob be fine with a solid 1000w+.

We've been testing on the V850s still, but as I alluded to before they've been pushing these around and over 1000w and the PSUs are solid and have been taking the abuse, but if I were you with future firmware revisions and from what I've seen: 1200w Gold rated PSUs for November batch orders FTW please! Wink

 PSU 1200w?? god !

coolmaster only have max 1000w

http://www.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/powersupply/silent-pro-gold/silent-pro-gold-1200w.html

Although it does appear to have only 2 PCI-e ports... Wink
