With FW 0.96 my numbers have gone from 520,525 and 540 to 450,500 and 520 Ghash. This is quite the decrease in performance.
I have been running them for about an hour so it might still be variance, anyone else getting similar results?
//DeaDTerra

are those numbers at the pool or reported back form cgminer ?

Can confirm this. With 0.96 I'm "only" getting 107GH/s and with 0.95 it was an average of 115GH/s (Mercury).
Any idea to improve this? Think It could run at least 120 - 130GH/s?!

ty,
Silv0r

There was mention of grading numbers but I was unsure if it had to do with the power modules or the ASIC modules.  Has yours one of those stickers having a number 1 to 4?

There is a sticker with number 1 on it.

36X Day 2 here just changed status to "Shipped" its a pickup so I guess they have to now ship it to their office where it can be picked up from as I imagine they don't want ppl having around the factory.

just a note my 304x unit just got the tracking number like 2hrs ago it is showing DHL tomorrow (Friday) i'd call if DHL and set things up at least they can give you the DAY it arrives from this number 1-800-225-5345 er again the tracking number shows Brussels calling the number and a live person told me it would arrive tomorrow ..(I was shocked) just so you are warned!

anyway the point of this is it took 2 1/2 days to go from Sweden to the Midwest usa...so jump on the DHL tracking when you get the number imho

My Mercury is, according to DHL, in Brussels since 1:44AM, processed in Brussels at 11:15AM.  Calling I found I can expect delivery tomorrow by end of the business day.

I got a hold of Marcus and told him about my numbers, I told him to not start investigating it yet and that I would get back to him in 24 hours with my new numbers as it is possible that it is due to the flushwork as you guys said.

I am sure they will if it proves to be something wrong, but there shouldn't be any performance issue according to Marcus.

22°C, Case off and no direct house pointed. But temperature from the ASIC chip is at 31.0°C. I think this is okay.

Greetings

its not the chip that is under heat stress.

Its the components on the pcb.

The default cooling for each module is not acquitted to maintain an optimal operating temp of the components.

Just adding airflow on the pcb components will help with performance.

You can get more details on the first impressions thread.

That's strange. Because all components are in a cool temperature scale. They wouldn't get colder if I'd use external air flow. But I'll give it a try. Thanks for that Smiley

ok news my #304x order Jupiter will arrive on Friday 10/18/13 instead of Monday as I thought
I just got the DHL tracking number and it says Brussels...I called 1-800-225-5345 and they said it will arrive tomorrow(shocked I was)
Friday 10/17/2013...it showed "shipped' on Tues....shipped on Thursday am .be here Friday. So call this number ASAP when you get a
tracking number to be safe....or you may not be around ...I'm in the middle of the Midwest for crying out loud....someplace like N.Y. city
may get the dang thing in a day.

I also got a FULL REFUND  on my "processing' order of #526x just now ...customer service went way beyond the call of duty
and physically 'pulled' my unit out of production I mean they chased someone down to do it.
....they could have taken the easy route and just said it was too late to change
but really went the extra mile ..I was very very impressed ..so that order is CANCELLED with full refund!

So they are really chugging thru stuff so if you plan to pull a unit ...be quick.....they probably will get everything out in 2 or 3 days
from what I can tell.......they should post a youtube video probably looks like the plane crash from 'Lost" in their shipping dept.

anyway.....again it would have  been easier to take the route of just telling me I was too late instead they stepped up and pulled
my after Oct 15th unit even thou they could have probably convinced me it was impossible to do so at that time as it was in processing
was actually what I expected...( I was just kinda going thru the motions)
they did so without fan fare and went the extra mile ..took them a day to chase it down with other units as well  I'd imagine
.what do they say ...see how people act when no one else is looking...well again
I was very impressed ....they really had to beat the clock on my part....

so you want one of your units pulled they will do so ASAP but again it looks to me like stuff is gonna get done with this batch soon
so you really have to contact customer service customerservice@kncminer.com  quickly.....once it is built the customer service folks
still may be able to go to bat for you but it is much harder...maybe impossible imho they have clout to pull maybe beyond that not sure
if it is built already..but i'd check ..they do have Nov stuff to ship they may not care and just hold it for the next merry go round next month

I will be ordering from KNC again ...but that Saturn with current situation after Oct 15th ...was just a bit too much for me at this time
..bumping against the new price of next month nov orders diff increases...seemed prudent to jump at this offer
and go with this tempting option to get a refund ..on the after Oct 15th units as per their promise of Oct 15th not being kept. (My other
order a Jupiter DID ship late Oct 15th)

Seems prudent to me at this time ..but again without customer service stepping up and going the extra mile it would not have been
impossible...they may not be perfect at KNC but they at least seem to make a valid attempt....intent and how you treat
your customers holds a lot of value to me after BFL.....screwing up is normal ...quickly trying to improve/change
especially under their timeline at this time and pressure at KNC is encouraging .if nothing else the customer service
people seem to be following the mantra of "We want repeat customers!) ..again I'm very impressed!

hopefully others of you with issues on your miners and/or want refunds on some units will have the same results but act quick I really
do think they are gonna get done with this batch real soon.....(a guess)

my 2c worth

This is what the guy said at DHL when I gave him my Brussels tracking number (1-800-225-5345) ...maybe it is scanned in Brussels goes on a plane and is not scanned again till it hits the truck to ship it to me ..no idea..but he said between 10am and 8pm tomorrow Friday 10/17/2013 (maybe Brussels is code for "teleport'

Wow searing has officially saved my ass.

On the phone with DHL as we speak.  They said that KNC never entered a zip code on my shipping address and that it was NOT going to my destination.  I double checked my order details and sure enough I entered everything correctly.

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CALL DHL.

Also I was told that my stuff was stuck with customs and I won't likely see anything until Monday what a bummer. oh well Im glad its en route

Was it previously working with 0.95?  Can you flash it back?

Wow searing has officially saved my ass.

On the phone with DHL as we speak.  They said that KNC never entered a zip code on my shipping address and that it was NOT going to my destination.  I double checked my order details and sure enough I entered everything correctly.

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CALL DHL.

Also I was told that my stuff was stuck with customs and I won't likely see anything until Monday what a bummer. oh well Im glad its en route

Saved me too! Thanks, Searing!!!! My gear was headed to the wrong state! DHL had the same city name, but different state and zip code. Phew! The rep said it'd arrive tommorow (Friday).
