i also have a single jupiter running on the 0.95 it came with. I agree temperature seems the most important factor in GH/s rate.

No bertmod, lid on upside down(fins & sides are pointing up) with a room fan blowing thru the front and side.

Two of the heatsink fans resting on the crossbar at a downward angle. (ill do the other 2 later)

The chips show 45c-55C and BTCGuild shows 490-559 with the best rates 'usually' at night but not exclusively. (it is noon now, ambient temp is 34C, BTCGuild shows me at  530) While puTTy shows my average as 540)

i feel for the guys who still didnt get theirs, i do feel we are all due a dozen BTC or so for the daily loss due to delays but have little hope of any offer of such.

now im wondering if its worth buying a 2nd one for 25btc making them 50 BTC each and easier to recover (depending on time/diff/etc)

who else is worth considering ordering from? cointerra? hashfast? other??

or is it time to start selling my old shovels??

Hosted Jupiter here. Eligius says 320 GH/s but KNC Portal stats read 510 GH/s?

Three hosted Jupiters here.

Portal shows: 526, 416, 408
Slush shows: 438, 399, 361

So portal is using higher than actual hashing speed?

The web interface shows the "raw" hash speed being reported by cgminer which includes HW errors.

For me, until yesterday, those two numbers were practically the same (pool hash rate stable at near miner theoretical max hash rate), but since around noon there has been a big difference :-(  Hosted miner. See my post on previous page for details. Hope they will fix. Anyone else with this problem?

I think it is better to leave them in the shrouds and point forward like this

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg3375203#msg3375203

try that and see if you drop more temps.  I did also try the old bigger intake fans pointing down on the chips like you say but they weren't good.  Let us know if the smaller ones are good pointing down but I think pushing the air straight over the chips and board works best

I'm not sure I'm running the same version of cgminer, 3.4.0 from the top line.  My cgminer doesn't note the temp.

This is not cgminer. It is Luke-jr bfgminer

Are people near the front still waiting for their orders?  Or is October getting cleared out?

Just wanted to check whether everyone received your miners (100 BTC/Jupiter) so far, able to earn at least 75 BTC/Jupiter? Cool

Because next week, November miners due for release which are only 25 BTC/Jupiter.

So, what's the moral of the story? Huh
The moral is....     your math sucks. Btc is 200 now, so takes 35 BTC to make 7 grand, not 75...lol

Depends on if you bought with BTC or USD.  I actually bought with USD, but I didn't expect the bitcoin price to go up like this, so I wasn't going to buy BTC with my USD.

On the other hand, BTC could easily re-crash at some point.

Looks like some are still waiting, but october delivery orders may be close to being all shipped:

Curious if KnC will start shipping november orders in october or if they will have to wait for components to arrive.

If the powers that be go to adversely effect BTC, aside from having Washington DC make it outright illegal, they'll target BTC stability, pump and dump punishing investors again.

How can Washington do that? They are closer to being bankrupt than Greece.

They're not even remotely close to being bankrupt.  They have the worlds largest gold reserves, for example. The government shutdown was just a moronic stunt.

I seriously hate UPS. One of my orders was given to a neighbour (again) and this time I do not even know the name. There was no notice whatsoever telling me where that neighbour lives... And now I can't even start a lost package claim because they think KNC is responsible for the shipment order. Great -.-. My DHL Order came without problems DIRECTLY to me. I seriously do NOT understand UPS. Why the heck would they give stuff to people who don't even live in the same house/street...

Hah, I dug that exact same socket set out of my toolbox to open the case and put the fans back on.Great they used those goofball screws and then used fans that fall off in transit. Or maybe that's just the standard screw everyone uses in Sweden.

Curious if KnC will start shipping november orders in october or if they will have to wait for components to arrive.

Bitcoinorama has said in this thread something to the effect,
there will be a 30 day pause between the first batch and the November orders.
(he was passing along KnCMiner statement from Sam I think)

This makes sense from a 1st batch persons perspective because the price drop was supposedly for orders shipping 30 days after the last Oct miner.

If they screw all the early adopters any harder the pushback will be unreal.
This will infuriate November order folks as all 1st batch have not shipped yet and it is Oct 23rd.

Shit storm no matter what they do.

My guess is they will do whatever benifits KnCMiner the most regardless of the effect on customers.
This pattern is well established by now.

They are unlikely to ship Nov. before Nov. 15 IMneverHO

YMMV
