I have not received the refund yet nor have I received a delivery and yet they are shipping. Does this mean I am no longer entitled to my refund? Do statements about refunds made 6 months ago still apply?! Can you give me your analysis of this situation or would you prefer to wait until I do or don't get a refund to offer up your special brand of creeping determinism? Please don't leaving me hanging until AFTER something happens... That is definitely bullshit on kncs part. I also agree that they had no chance of delivering in q1 so it was bullshit to suggest it was possible. But you have to accept the fact that you agreed to a shitty contract with an absurd delivery window.

That makes no sense. Why would KNC says "We expect to ship to Batch 1 pre-order customers this week and to Batch 2 pre-order customers before the end of the month." in their latest posting? https://www.kncminer.com/news/news-94So nobody knows a real situation with litecoing hardware from KnC?
Batch 2, October 30th. Expect it no sooner or you will be disappointed

Batch 2, October 30th. Expect it no sooner or you will be disappointed The batches that are shipping now are Neptune SHA256 machines. That is what the news relates to. The other quote is talking about Titan scrypt machines which are not shipping yet and likely will not ship for a while. They only taped out recently... EDIT: They announced the tape out of the Titan chip on June 5th

Ah, buyer's remorse. Sorry, but there's nothing you can do. I'm quite satisfied with my FrankenJup. Why do you feel screwed? And you are experiencing retrospective rationalization. Why DONT you feel screwed? I received an assembled FrankenJup and 18 bonus boards. I'm currently running 30 boards and they work just fine although I have them underclocked a bit and getting ~4.5Ths. Yes, they were a hassle to get working properly and I do have a few bad boards. But I've been hashing with them for a couple months at much lower difficulty than the Neptunes will. I was very disappointed when they announced the bonus Neptunes after I converted my order. But I think I'll still generate more BTC than Neptune customers.

You should try selling it to xstr8guy for what you paid for it. He'll probably jump on a deal like that. Excuse me? Do you think I'm a KNC shill or something? Of course I wouldn't pay $10,000 for 3THs now and certainly not another miner from KNC. There are far better options available today.

No but you did say you were "quite satisfied" with your SuperJupe. Thought you might be interested in bittawm's. There aren't better options to get 3TH by Monday.

can anyone tell me how loud they are?
is it, ridiculous loud like a cointerra box that sounds like a vacuum cleaner running 24/7?
or is it whisper quiet like the jupiter? or somewhere in between? like an avalon?
noise is going to be my biggest limiting factor moving forward...
It's very quiet: Noise is about the same as Jupiter (Neptune has one more Fan, so 20% more).

My new worthless prediction (I'm batting .000, lol)...
There is some very compelling evidence that supports this hypothesis. But the most glaringly obvious is the single PCI power connector. They're not so stupid to design it to handle 420w. But they were compelled to squeeze as much hash out of each chip that they threw away common sense.
Remember "under promise, over deliver"? Yeah, not to so much anymore. The new motto... "We deliver dangerous crap because we're cheap bastards."
1 month ago (after I saw the picture of the PCB with only one 6-pin power connector) I wrote an alarming email to Sam directly. Sam replied within one hour, and replied he would discuss the issue with the developers. My guess is that they have added a second power-connector (on the opposite side, so you cannot see it on the box photos), or.... they calculated that one connector was still appropriate, which would mean that only 200 to 250 watt is used per PCB. If this last is the case then they have a rabbit-in-the-hat : one box gives 600 Ghs running 250 Watt gives 0.41 W/Ghs............ But my fear is that they didn't either add a connector nor have a 0.41 W/Gs..... Huh? A coincidence? No coincidence (my order number is 1110x, so happened to be the very first.... And I guess I have one of the very first Titans as well, so stay tuned... just acting very fast when something new is released, and living in the same time zone as Sweden). By the way: Sam didn't listen: the Neptune has only one Power-plug (so I will need to solder one additional on top of it, if I want to OC).

No sadly not: if I had inside info: I wouldn't have ordered this hardware at all !!

There were some real disasters shipped to buyers, no doubt... boards with missing VRMs and capacitors. But I also think a lot of people received FrankenJups that maybe needed some minor fixes and then would work fine. I'm certainly no DIYer but I can reseat a heatsink, swap out fans, reflash SD cards and reconnect cables. And that's the extent of my repairs to my FJ. But of course, that doesn't excuse KNC for engineering such a terribly designed device and packing/shipping them so poorly. They are truly cheap bastards and will do anything to save a penny. For example, I ordered a couple extra controller boards and they refused to ship the IDC ribbon cables with the boards. Kurt said I could buy them at any electronics store. Right! If you live in Shenzhen maybe.

If you live in Shenzhen maybe. No there is no excuse for KNC did to Neptune customers who decided to opt for the early 3TH/s miners. This is company who openly bragged about closing in on 100million USD in sales by June of this year who is running a datorhall that was raking in 450k USD per day in early spring this year. They could afford to do better and chose otherwise.

not that i would put it past them scum but is that even feasible?

Elenelen said her chips were clocked at 475Mhz... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=170332.msg7417839#msg7417839

Elenenene, did you get a tracking number so you knew what day to be home to receive it? No coincidence (my order number is 1110x, so happened to be the very first....
