Do you feel shameful for being a gambler?

That will be a shameful if you turn into gambler addict, you will lose control of yourself, start to borrowing money to people around you, have a lot debt and could be end into jail.

Personally I'm not really often do gamble and since I used bitcoin only for payment people around me don't know my gambling activity.
If people know my gambling activity, I'm not ashamed, because I used it with my money.

There should be no problem with telling others, gambling is not a sin or a crime, so there is nothing to hide. People who think that gambling is bad is uneducated with the how the world is changing fast, they only look on the possible negative results of a gambler but they failed to see how much fun it can bring to the gamblers.

If you feel shameful, it means you did something wrong in the gambling site that are very embarrassing on which you don't like to know by your friends, relatives and special someone. So you keep hiding it to them
but if don't do anything bad, nothing to be ashamed with them.

It also depends on the culture, in my country some forms of gambling are even traditional of our people so there is no shame associated with playing those games but in some cultures and religious traditions gambling is strictly forbidden, so for people living under those cultures, they could be ashamed of their actions.

No I don't feel shameful being a gambler and in fact I am confident to let people see the true type of person who I am, an not even a pretentious one. Nothing to be ashamed with because in my point of view as long as you are not doing bad if you gamble just for fun, then you don't hurt anyone as you played or bet for gambling game so there is no reason for you to be ashame. Having fun out of stressfull world is not bad and you must be proud of this diversion from stress into fun and lucky profit if you win.

Gambling is not bad so we should not be ashamed of being a gambler, we do it for fun and it's part of our life as a gambler. It's true that there are bad effects but that is based on how the person would react on the situation, if a person is not matured enough to play gambling then I would say the risk is big. People have different capacity in financial and in mind, therefore we should stick to what we can afford to lose to be safe.

Certainly. When you are getting into problems already, that's shameful.

I don't think that losing is the shameful part in gambling. What's shameful is that you failing to control on your emotions and being addicted to gambling. If you also are affecting your relationships with others and asking them for money, then that's the time to feel ashamed. It's not healthy for you and your family.

I don't think that losing is the shameful part in gambling. What's shameful is that you failing to control on your emotions and being addicted to gambling. maybe if we are losing is not like shameful but its like regret for our losing. being shameful in our self is good because we still have our emotions to not getting addicting person and if we trying to control ourself, then i am sure that soon or later, we are feeling shameful when we are playing gambling in future. but its not guarantee to us to getting shameful if we don't limit ourself when we are playing gambling.

Maybe gambling is considered a sin that is why they have that reaction every time they caught someone gambling, if I live with that pace, maybe I would have not known gambling in the first place. Fortunately, I live in a country where we have democracy, we are free to do whatever we want and gambling is just considered as an entertainment and the government has no negative actions as long as they have their fair share.

I will not share my gambling activities with anyone, and I don't like to share this with others. But some of my friends know, but they also play so I don't mind if I play with them. If I lost my bet, i really feel so bad. I do online gambling, so this helps me to hide my gambling activity.

Same here...I try to hide my daily habit even from my family members. I will be ashamed if one or more people in my real life knew my gambling activity. So far, everything works as expected and hopefuly will stay longer. Gambling is a bad thing here in my neighborhood.

That is bad thing i guess. If they caught you gambling it will be a bigger punishment for you. Maybe it is time to tell them the truth.
Though it is not that bad if you are not addicted to it, if it is just a hobby of yours it is not really that bad. Hobby is not to be ashamed of.
I do hide my gambling when i was a kid because it is a bad thing in our place too but i did stop gambling when i was introduced to online gambling. Online gambling or casino was not a bad thing, in real life gambling yes it is a bad thing, but online gambling is not.
