Looks like we're in danger of dropping below $11k USD/BTC.
HODL strong, gentlemen.
Danger??Will HODL on though .... it’s a full time job, gonna continue working as I do and carry on with the HODL It is more than a job for me. It is like getting happily married. There might be days when she is in a bad mood, but you never think about a divorce because of that. You may try to cheat on her by selling with the hope of buying lower, but she will catch you and you will lose her The only way is to live together til death (i.e. moon) do us apart. Call it as you will - moon, fuck you status, etc., each has different ideas for that. I have a gut feeling that sometime in the near future I will see at least briefly prices > $300K. But how many deep and long sideways and crashes I'll have to endure for that, I don't know. What I know is that I have plenty of time to DCA, i.e. convert all saved fiat shitcoins into Bitcoins. There are theoretically 3 main types of predictions. 1st - Bitcoin keeps the exponential 2x increase by a year. 2nd - Bitcoin loses the exponential increase, but enters a quadratic increase. 3rd - Bitcoin loses the quadratic increase and enters linear increase. I don't give much chances for longer decrease and staying at the current levels for say 10 years (<0.1%). In the worst case 3, we have two example years - 2017 and 2019, which we may consider from linear point of view. 2017 added nearly 19K to the initial price 700. 2019 added 10k to the initial price 3K. So, in the worst bullish linear scenario 3, we will have an average increase by 10K-20K each year. Therefore, in 10 years we will have prices >100K. Hence 300K doesn't look so impossible to me. And if the super duper hyper epic exponential growth ~30x from 2017 is repeated, then even in one year we may reach 300K starting from 10K. A note to myself: Please try not to cheat by selling much in the $30K area, while you may sell above $300K a few months/years later.

Anyone observing the er... price? Yep. currently $11501USD/$15166CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
Edit: Just to nitpick, I should point out that this thread is about observing bid/ask walls not the price.

I was wondering the other day where our Belgium WO friend went. He used to post many pictures of food and drink at quality restaurants. Can't seem to find any of his posts in the history of this thread.

"The last 4 hour candle closed above the $11,370 resistance, which is encouraging. That said, the 200 MA is still acting as strong resistance, with each of the last 4 candles wicking above and closing below. Bulls really want to see that flipped to support." https://twitter.com/scottmelker/status/1298596761083273217/photo/1This is looking good for me

(actually, unlike days of yore, the thread title does mention 'price movement' but it's still called the WO, yep. Not that I can remember the last time an actual wall was mentioned )

I disagree with the 2.1BTC bounty though, getting there is still "too easy", you'd need another more difficult level to get to above that, or maybe some kind of strong commitment, like giving 1 BTC now and getting 2.1 back in 5 years. I see too many on this forum that clearly got there by shitposting like mad and getting in groups to merit each other or worse (buy merits, etc.).
Come on man, the 2.1 btc thing was clearly a joke. I see you are not familiar with us very much. Get a bit of sense of the WO before posting

When I listened to Pomp's podcast today, I thought about the lil dilemma that you had presented in your earlier post, fillippone. When gods fail. Jameson Lopp, one of my bitcoin idols, just gone full retard, selling his soul to a meaningless ICO:
Of course, I don't really idealize Pomp because he does have some tendencies to "give the benefit of the doubt" to a variety of shitcoiner ideas, and so on today's show when he was interviewing Alex about the potential advantages of any person creating their own personalized token (shitcoin), I began to speculate (in my mind) that Pomp was going to go down the road of creating his own token/shitcoin, and then he (Pomp) would be lost forever from any kind of possible redemption. I will note that at about halfway into the podcast, Pomp and Alex started to get into discussing ethereum versus bitcoin, and through that portion of the conversation we could appreciate that even though in the first half of the podcast, Alex had seemed to have had a lot of smart ideas and even seemingly charitable in terms of his expectations around his personalized token (shitcoin). Once we got into the ethereum versus bitcoin discussion, we could recognize that Alex is a bit of a delusional crazy-ass nutjob, and surely in the delusional camp of a lot of eth-heads, and at through the fleshing out of that conversation, Pomp really was able to present quite valid arguments concerning why any person who might be somewhat materially established would be quite foolish to stake their finances and/or reputation into smoke and mirror shitcoin projects, even though there still could be a decent amount of short-term financial benefits for folks who do NOT have anything to lose to go down that kind of a risky career path. Even though some members here might posture that this post (of mine) is going a bit too far down the shit-coin discussion path, I believe that in the end, I am largely providing additional ammunition and reasons why ongoing and continuous bashing on shitcoin projects is a fundamentally sound practice, especially for peeps who are trying to invest their value (whether time, psychology or finances) with attempts to maintain relatively solid long-term practices.. which definitely, in the end, should bring us back to showing king daddy at the top of those kinds of long term assessments.

PS "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today."
Even though life is good in these JJG-landia parts, I have not quite gotten to the level of abundance to either treat guests or have confidence to dish out cash/food advances. Sorry about dat, vm; I feel badly. I have come to appreciate that it's a dog eat dog world, out there. wow thats cold. even for an AI Does an AI have knockers like that? #justsaying Congrats d_eddie Wel deserved WO-Legendary brother
Nice one eddie, and the meriters Life begins at Legendary Welcome eddie! There should be a 2.1 BTC reward for all who reach this status. We are on a 1990 forum board with loads of "unused" Bitcoin donations The receipt of an actual 21 satoshis would be nice for accomplishments like this.... and potentially sustainable for a good 8 years or perhaps even 12 years or longer... before such quantities of value transfer might start to become too expensive (absent some kind of forum tax - or are would we be counting on "libertarian charity" - if that might not be an oxymoronic presumption? ) I am thinking that maybe such a transfer of value would be preferable over the lightning network or some other low fee system in order for such deserving member actually receives the full value (accounting for reasonable transaction fees).. although having a forum wallet that retains value would also remove transaction fees, too (except when moving value in and out of such hypothetical forum wallet). By the way, congrats d_eddie. You have had a lot of great contributions to the forum through the years, so your advancing into official "legendary" status was largely as inevitable as bitcoin is volatile... which is as about as sure of a bet as can be made, amiNOTkoreck?
