That does not make any fucking sense from any logical point of view.

War on terror?
It was the main argument to invade another country.

As if just crashing a plane onto each tower and killing thousands was not enough excuse already?

No, they really had to demolish the towers (on record timing, in the worst possible conditions and without no one knowing) for full effect. Yeah.

Try harder when you search for a LOGICAL explanation. Evidence matters too.

Meanwhile their meme tsar Samson, who is known throughout the galaxy ironically for his inability to meme, admirably breaks down some of the IMF's dubious claims:

There are many things wrong with this @IMFNews video on so many levels. It mainly focuses payments issues and conflates certain properties of #Bitcoin with ALL cryptocurrencies. It sounds like they're gaslighting the general populace to prepare them for an IMF coin.

Broken assumptions:
Cryptocurrencies are secure as they are based on the "science of cryptography" - No, they are secured by PoW
There's no middleman - No, if you can't run your own node, there is a middleman
Transactions are permanent - No, unsecure chains get rewritten

Then they talk about the "problems" of anonymity and untraceability. Those are features, not bugs. If they're worried about "bad guys" making transactions, then they want a centrally controlled money.

They FUD about losing your money if you lose your "password" (I think they mean seed). However, that's a part of being self-sovereign. If someone can help you recover your money, it's not your money.
Samson Mow

They also complain about volatility - I guess they haven't looked at the stock market lately.

"BUT If we can counter the risks, then this new technology OR SOME VARIATION of it can completely change the way we sell, buy, invest etc."

No, some variation of it from you will be a centrally managed surveillance coin, and doesn't change anything for ordinary people.

"This could be the next step in the evolution of money."

No, #Bitcoin already took that next step. By not talking about Bitcoin and educating people, you're just keeping them bound to fiat in a new format.

Keep in mind that the IMF manages a "reserve asset" called a Special Drawing Right (SDR) which is a CLAIM on "freely usable currencies of IMF members." So it's an imaginary money based on printed money. A fiat based on fiat. Their motivation is to keep the fiat machine running.
Great you posted this here! The war against Bitcoin started long ago and they keep on trying fighting btc by selling snake oil to the public. So good we have a few warriors who can still destroy the fallacies brought to us by the old financial world.

So I sold a tiny amount to cover an unexpected expense, immediately after, the prices starts going up, and to top it of, I just learned that the expense was a mistake and was cancelled.
You are welcome.

Yeah, besides, most people don't even know about WTC7, so there would really be no point at all.

Some small BTC rise this morning.

Some bigger stock rise (French CAC40) for some reason, 2%.

dont feel too bad, a while back (see my post below) i pulled decent chunk out for a project when corn was around 9k,  did it over the course of a few weeks when it was sideways at 9k ish for a longish time. and when i finally had the fiat amount i needed, like one week or so later (or thereabouts) it did it 11-12k thing.

but hey i sell when i want the extra fiat for whatever. i long ago decided not to try timing anything. when i need fiat, i sell. after all honey badger dont give af as to what my plans are.

Good morning WO!

As if just crashing a plane onto each tower and killing thousands was not enough excuse already?

Of course it's NOT an excuse.
It was used as an excuse - I'll agree on that much.

According to this logic, we should have had non stop conflicts since then, most of which have been avoided.

No, they really had to demolish the towers (on record timing, in the worst possible conditions and without no one knowing) for full effect. Yeah.

Yeah. Who is they?
Which reminds me of NORAD.

Try harder when you search for a LOGICAL explanation. Evidence matters too.

Well bro, I gave you a RATIONAL explanation already. There are more where that came from.
Trying to establish logic, when there is none, leaves us with rational thinking. Not everything makes sense, especially when you don't have the full picture.

For example, it is logical (based on the evidence) that Oswald killed Kennedy, but it's not rational, if you catch my drift.

And yes, evidence matters. Even if it's bogus. Wink

In terms of cash out (cash needed) we can only look to the current price, not what it might be or what is possible in a few days or weeks....

If there are reasons so urgent that a cash out is needed, then it’s just a must and a later price doesn’t matter, cause you wouldn’t have the coins either way.

Also always be happy for the cold storage coins that are increasing there value... those are the ones that matter now

We all have experiences of coins or things that are worth more now, but aren’t in our possession anymore, but we all look to much to those past moments that some of us are getting to angry/salty cause of it

(Not saying you guys are) but probably people like roach etc... moaning and complaining or trying to scare more people....

Past is the past and only need to look to that what we have or can achieve

I laugh myself to tears:

This thread is full retard now.  You have digital shitcoin scammers like Marcus and Lambwhatever praying as many people die in some sort of global plague as possible pretending it would be bullish for Bitcoin.  If it was a worst case scenario and 2-15% of the global population actually did die (the high ball estimates are too high because only asians have elevated ace2), I'd bet everything that it would be a deflationary collapse and Bitcoin would get clobbered because Bitcoin performs terribly in deflation.

My problem is I have a scientific background and appreciate little details like evidence and logic before jumping to conclusions that serve to reconfirm my world view.

Scientific method is fine for the natural world.

The world of humans is much more complex and messy. Lots of things happen underground, hidden from public scrutiny. Intentionally hidden.

It would be foolish to assume CIA or MI6 or Putin are not cooking some crazy projects right now, just because we have no precise scientific evidence of their shenanigans.

The public knows maybe 25% of important events/decisions, at best.

For this one... the only reason this worries me is I thing institutional folks have been doing the short/manipulate/ long/manipulate game at least a little.  I think that comes out as some of the bart-ing, and it's particularly obvious around end of week/month/contract times.  So if they are shorting they are probably also setting up some big sells.

That said, I have for quite a while envisioned a situation where they get spanked hard, which Bitcoin does to EVERYONE that tries to control it.  And we could be close to that.  Some day they are gonna set up all the shorts and the tide is gonna come in super hard and wash them all out.

When that happens i will eat a slice of cake.
