5-10% would be the risk. But my bet is its better than trading any company shares, as you don't know when it will shut down or the return might not be so high when compared to Bitcoin. If you are ready to take 5-10% risk on your investment, you would get more than 300% in short span of time  Smiley

Pls someone correct me if I'm wrong  , but can anyone explain to me how anyone that has accuired bitcoin and held it has lost there investment ?   When you consider that since 2009 bitcoin has consistently grown in value it has had crashes but it has always returned to achieve new highs.   Based on that I fail to see the huge risk ?
Compared to other investments it has a far better track record so far , the only time people lose is when they panic sell during the normal price corrections and occasional mini crashes.     Kr

Most of the old generation people thinking like that there is risk in bitcoin investment but, it is wrong. Bitcoin is fully secured transaction system with reasonable transaction fees, better tracking records, as well. Only thing, be careful with your wallets information.

I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.

At the time of writing the amount of risked money is around 10k USD so it's not a low amount, I would say go for it. But another suggestion that I would give is to invest in altcoins, I know that the price now is very low but I consider as a good point to invest and make a profit in the near future as the price won't go all down all the time.

Regardless of the way you view it, bitcoin is a high risk investment at least, considering how the market can move by a whooping 20% or more in a day and even though this can be very profitable, it's also very risky for the invested money IMO and hence people should treat it as a high-risk high-return opportunity.

In every investment, there are a lot of risk you have to take. Not only bitcoin but also every business platform requires to take decision by assuming about future. Besides this you need to depend on luck and trust, regarding this issue I think Bitcoin requires more risk rather than other platform...

Generally you like investments there are risks. Wherever you go, you will always risk your money who wants to eat and invest. To do this, you need to be sure of this project where you want to put your money, but it's rather difficult to do and therefore you have to Only one by one tips more active friends.

Bitcoin price or exchange rate is likely to fluctuate or ups and downs unexpectedly. So it is said that Bitcoin buying is a high risk investment. If something bad happens to Bitcoin service you use such as hacker attack, website can not access, negligence of manager And other failures, there is no warranty guarantee that your Bitcoin will return. So wherever you are investing please pay careful attention to the terms of service they provide.

I think there is only a little because if you will study the nature of bitcoin you can see that investing on bitcoin is really good. Bitcoin for long term will make you an instant millionaire. Don't hesitate I'm saying that start now in investing on bitcoins. Make every time count.
most people will says bitcoin is good as the future investment but the risk still high especially for the wallet itself and normally for long term investment people will save their bitcoin at offline wallet but there is some people did a dumb acts that they losing their access to their wallet because got hacked or losing their private keys then automatically they're already lost their bitcoin so in my view even the price of bitcoin will grow but the risk still high

I don’t agree with you. These all risks are related to human errors. Bitcoins themselves are not risky at all. Any investment in bitcoins will never disappoint the investor. If we take a deep look into trading, it’s never risk free. Risk taking is a part of business. Values of bitcoins may dump but they soon pump.

If you are not capable of save guarding your assets or not having the knowledge to protect your system from virus or malware then it is not a good option to invest in bitcoin, the entire crypto market is a high risk investment but in that bitcoin is the safest form of investment and sure it is volatile but always enter when there is a good correction and if you could do that then you will always end up in a profit.

I think the risk of investing in bitcoin will depend on several things. Like your skills, your knowledge of bitcoin markets, etc.
When you have deep knowledge and skills about bitcoin. Certainly the risk of investing in bitcoin will be smaller?

Correct, the risk of bitcoin investment is depend on several things, if a person has more skills and more knowledge of bitcoin market and also studying just that how we invest our money in bitcoin. He has very easy to invest money in bitcoin and also reduce own investment risk very easily.

I think that for investment in bitcoin does not need special knowledge and skills, so they are great for beginners. You need to buy when they fall in price, and sell when they have grown enough. And the risk is about the same as in other investments.

Supposedly, when you are putting your money into an investment you must know that you are already taking the risk because there is no assurance that your money would grow as what you are expecting to happen. But in the case of how much risk is there when you invest on bitcoin, there is no such proof that you must worry about taking the risk. Because as we all know, there are lots of bitcoin users right now that are putting their trust into bitcoin investment through its decentralized blockchain that attracts more potential investors and serves as the fuel for the bitcoin's price value to pump up. Risk on bitcoin is just a mere speculation or rumor and it will remain on that unless proven.

Bitcoin exchanges are volatile, new, and largely unregulated and therefore could be more prone to fraud or failure than other types of securities exchanges.

Bitcoin is just getting started as a new currency and it's successfully attracting people; the number of investers and users is getting bigger, so i don't think that there is risk of investing money in bitcoin at least that's what i think so.

No, in investment wise, bitcoin has a lot of risk, it is other thing that a biggest number of users are here of bitcoin. But instead of it a lot of scam investment sites are here on internet, where majority people everyday lost their bitcoin, and also i was one of them. But now i have opened my eyes and since now i left it all, and also i advice to everyone don't be greedy and don't waste your bitcoin into scammer investment sites.

Getting into an investment and putting your money into it is already taking a risk because the assurance of gaining is not that visible especially when you are just starting. So for you to be able to see the effect, you must take the risk because it will be a now or nothing situation. You cannot evenly say that there is such risk on investing your assets in bitcoin because compared to other investments, bitcoin is the one who build decentralized blockchain for privacy of users accounts and if there is so risk, why are potential investors keep on trusting and investing on bitcoin? It is just trust on your investment is needed to know the success of it.
