it seemed to me maybe it was a com scan problem, mine kept saying something about com_1.  my issue is in it starting. i dont remember bitminter crashing, power goes off too often around here.  just have to keep rebooting till everything shows up and it seems everything has to show up or nothing starts.  ive been very busy at work and have little time to play around with things.

For gods sake get an UPS!

Yes.
But sometimes I have to restart my PC. And than it takes up to 10 times to get them running.
I can see each Single 60GH/s at BitMinterClient. But some of them don´t show the temperature and don´t start.

What messages do you see in the log?

2013.09.28 [13:08] BitMinter Client v1.4.1 started
2013.09.28 [13:08]  Hint: Use performance mode for best GPU results (bottom right button)
2013.09.28 [13:08] Found 1 OpenCL-compatible GPU
2013.09.28 [13:08] Probing all ports for external devices
2013.09.28 [13:08]  Probe of port COM2 failed: timeout
2013.09.28 [13:08]  Probe of port COM1 failed: timeout
2013.09.28 [13:08] Device detected on COM19: BitFORCE SC 1.0
2013.09.28 [13:08] Difficulty is now 148819200

The 4 BFL SINGLE 60MH/s are on  COM19, COM20, COM21, COM22
Only COM19 was found.
But it don´t start.
It is no problem to start mining with the CPU.

When I restart my computer then:
- maybe all of the 4 Singles are found, may be only a few ( let the devices connected )
- it is no problem if I do like this: start BitMinter, wait, connect  the first BLF Single, wait, connect the second Single, wait ....

What happens if you try to start it? Anything in the log then?

Sounds like the USB ports and/or devices are not functioning very well. I'll have a new version of the client out soon that lets you configure it to keep trying the same COM port over and over indefinitely. That could be useful in cases like this.

No. Nothing in the log.

Hmm, I would have at least expected timeout errors.

Did you try it with bfgminer? It uses the same drivers, so should be quick to test.

For mining, the user and worker names have been made case insensitive, and passwords have been removed.

This should help somewhat with all the users having problems authenticating. I see many are still having problems, though. As a reminder, your user name is displayed in the upper right corner of the website when you are logged in.

On the website there is now a warning on the login page about myopenid.com shutting down, and noone is allowed to sign up using myopenid.com anymore. If you are still using them to log in, please go to "my account" -> "logins" on the website (after logging in) and add another way to log in.

Update: Some bfgminer and cgminer users try to use only their worker name. You have to put the user name first, like username_workername. For example DrHaribo_MyWorker

Hi,

since yesterday my account page show constantly the same amount of assets:

Balance         Unconfirmed            Future          Expected per block

Bitcoins   0.19372475   -------                0.1937247      0.02605526

never change, never add anything, seems frozen.

But the live stats page show constant activity.

Any idea?

Does anyone had the same issue?

Thanks and Regards

Hopefully pool luck comes little up   Roll Eyes, at current luck -15+ % all PPS pools with 10% fee seems like a bargain. All though I would suspect that many smaller PPS pools with inadequate buffers and too low fee will go down soon. So better to be safe than sorry and hope rainy days will pass like they statistically do sooner or later. Waiting for 99.99% CDF and orphan or stale block  Grin)

While the size of the pool does play a certain role, it still is pure luck.

We've had runs where several consecutive blocks were solved only minutes or seconds apart. Didn't see anyone complaining about that Wink

I don't have access to a device yet, so I can't implement support yet.

Hello, could you explain to me why we gain more bitcoin with Bitminter past 24 hours. what the problem is the pool is too small to solve the blocks?

Anything can create blocks, even an old laptop solomining, or a much smaller pool than ours. But the time it takes on average will vary a lot.

We had a 99.9% CDF block. 1 out of 1000 blocks will be that unlucky, for any pool. What we need to push through unlucky blocks faster is more hashpower. So tell your friends to join Smiley
