But now the pool is down!
Looks like the frontend. Mining is going on. My miners did switch this morning for a 20 minute periode to btcguild because mining was down. But it switched back after that and is mining away on bitminter again.

There was a problem with the live hashrates on the websites not working today. I will have a fix for this shortly so it won't happen again so easily. It has happened a few times over the last months. Apologies for the inconvenience, I know broken stats can be confusing.

There seems to be a new problem with Shockwave Flash plugin. The browser (latest FireFox) becomes unresponsive and then pops up a message about that plugin (Unresponsive Plug-in dialogue), offering to stop. I need to do it 2-3 times per each BitMinter page visit. The problem appeared a couple of hours ago.

I was about to say that the BitMinter website doesn't use Flash anywhere. But it does have a Youtube video on the front page, which uses Flash. But I wouldn't expect Youtube to crash Flash.

Wow, I go away for a weekend, not even doing anything bitcoin-related (other than trying to nudge a couple of friends into it, ha!), and I come back to a whole smorgasbord of blocks waiting for confirmation. My how things swing in just a few days time.

Just a little more good luck and we can recover from the bad luck before the difficulty change.

I use Chrome which normally has all the problems with Flash and I just tried it in FireFox, both work fine here even watching the video.

However, it only appears on BitMinter pages (blocks, shifts, account), and on YouTube. I'll try re-installing Flash player.

Any ideas why this is happening?
Thanks

You need 2 USB Block Erupters to soften the loss and to bring your hashrate stats to the same level...

Hey,
I'm considering BitMinter and Slush's as possible pools for a new ASIC. Is it possible to do merged mining (NMC) while using stratum on BitMinter?
Thanks for your help.
Best!

Yes, at BitMinter you merged mine namecoins no matter which protocol you choose; Stratum, GBT or getwork. Hi guys,

Looks like another myopenid.com failure. I think their server is working again now though. Try to log in and then go to "my account" -> "logins" in the menu and add an OpenID identity from a more stable provider. myopenid.com is unfortunately not reliable anymore.

Thanks for your reply. I've given it another go and I still get the same error
It appears the myopenid.com website is working though...In now, finally I have added another account as advised. Thanks for your assistance

11 BE sticks and a few GPUs. About 8GH. Small time stuff. I mostly mine on P2Pool, but BitMinter is my backup pool.

I mine with 120gh/s asic miners, but I have a question... In the block statistics I see a block with status "processing" (2013-08-21 06:24) what is wrong with that block? is it stale (or will it be?)
