The payout is shrinking yet again with the site showing 130 TH computational power. Sad

All it matters is your Hashrate vs the network hashrate.
The pool hashrate doesn't change much

Yah it does. When the pool hashrate drops my payouts increase.

if the network is 2000  the pool is 100 and you are 1.

it is no different then if the network is 2000 the pool is 200 and you are 1.

in both cases you earn the same in the long run.

In one case the payments are smaller but in the long run you get them  at 2x the speed.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm mining with some USB ASICs and I've watched my payouts get smaller as the pool size increases. However we've been plowing through blocks much more quickly and the end result is that I'm actually probably making a hair more than when the pool was a third of this size. Things balance out over time and the increased pool hash power helps prevent long dry runs.

Im in a very big jam here. I accidentally created 2 accounts on the bitminter website. Well my main one I cant log into,it just keeps logging me into the other account which ius used for nothing. I use that google check in thing every time to auto login to the site. Well instead of showing anonymouslegi0n when I hit google checkin,it takes me to my shit account hackattack2077. No Im still mining right now,but obviously its going to the login I cant get into. Cab someone for the love of god please help me out? I dont understand why it doesnt just ask for a username and password for bitminter website. I shouldve never used the damn google check in. Im freaking out right now as I have a good amount of coin in my real account. Please help!!

Are you using Chrome as a web browser ? If yes, probably chrome with a cookie is mantaining your google id open, try this, open a page for example on gmail, and see if you are logged in automatically, then logout and try to log in with your real account, probably it will switch the authentication also for bitminter.

Cheers

Is there an infrastructure problem with the doubling in hashrate of the pool in the past month ?

3 stale blocks and 1 orphaned block in the past 36hrs or less

Thanks for the help guys, everything was solved. Yes google had me auto logged in and had to manually log out then re enter bitminter and my real name/worker came up. Also, whats up with the bad stale/alienproofs of work. I was making at least.3 coins a day in this pool, now it shows like.21??? I have 2 60gh bfl singles running at like 126 gh/s. But like other people are saying,my payouts showing like .225 from .325 coins now. And I was mining with eclipsemc mining pool when using bfgminer and set my wallet in the folder option, and mined for a week. I havent seen a dime go into my wallet from eclipse mc pool/bfgminer. What gives? I appreciate all the help my friends.

Newsflash: difficulty just went up 41% so your revenue was just cut by that amount.

Better get used to it.

Just to clarify:  When difficulty goes up 41%, your income does NOT go down 41%.  That's quite obvious when you factor in difficulty doubling is a 100% increase, but you'd only lose half your income not 100% of it.

1 - (1 / (1 + % increase)) = Drop in revenue.  In this case:  1 - (1 / 1.41) = 0.2907, or a 29.07% drop in revenue.  Still hurts, but not as much as a 41% drop would.

A short mining service outage is coming up in a few minutes. I need to pop in a new version of the software. Expected downtime: 10 seconds.

An issue has been found in Namecoin. The Namecoin guys are testing out a fix for it. We will deploy the fix and continue to merge mine namecoins. Namecoin is not dying like some have been predicting, and there are no plans to remove them from BitMinter.

Is there an infrastructure problem with the doubling in hashrate of the pool in the past month ?

No, the hashrate has no direct impact on the mining server load, because of variable difficulty. Someone mining with a KNC device causes the same load as someone mining with GPU.

6 000 active workers mining and 60 000 page views per day on the website, those are the numbers that matter.

Mining server, website, database, they are all at light load. So it is still safe to recommend BitMinter to your friends.  Grin

By the way, it is awesome to see the pool growing. Thank you to all who mine in this pool!

Sad thing is were not much over 2x diff right now.  That was one hell of a diff bump we had.

Have you tried setting "Minimum difficulty" for your worker to 512? Some people reported that it helped if the miner did not switch difficulties.

Oh, and the pool is not 110, but 135THs right now!

Did you look at the cgminer on the jupiter? Does it show a lot of hardware errors or error messages? Or just a low hashrate?
