We need some more hash power.

The Bitminter hashrate is falling behind the BTC/USD exchange rate.

Well I keep ordering it - eventually some of it is sure to actually arrive.

Shipped!  Woo-hoo!

Have been mining at BitMinter for a few months, this is the first time I see this:
http://blockchain.info/tx/92db8a629280b8aa782254dbf932155168f9314fd07338d5b2586b3545443698
A payment which has not confirmed in quite a few hours.  Why ?
That transaction contains no fees, so it is considered low-priority by the network. It will eventually be confirmed.

Is there a way to add a fee now, so that it does not linger in limbo ?
Theoretically, the sender could rebroadcast it with a fee, or a recipient can broadcast a transaction spending it with a fee to cover both transactions.
There's no easy way to do this with a GUI, though...

This pool is great, but I feel like the Terra Hash and its minig pool competitors out weigh by a lot.

Also, "name coin" is pretty useless. If it were LTC, that would be a different story.

Is there any reason why a couple of payouts from Bitminter over the last few days would be still stuck at "still not confirmed...seen by 4 peers" and everything else is been accounted for?

Thanks.

I found out that when I exceeded 125 sticks cpu use went nuts and the 125th stick read endless errors.   not sure if the pc or bitminter software is the issue.  windows 7 has a 127  usb device  limit for 1 controller.  this pc has a 5 port pcie usb card with a second controller  so I should be able to go to 240 sticks or even 250.  So when I got past the 127 device limit the cpu went nuts and the last stick added com284 just read endless errors.  in the photo below it is at  6000 and change and counting up really fast

This is a controller limit not a port limit as i understood it, the max is system wide 127 however this number is theoretical.
In reality each usb device connected takes one device slot, so in my view you loose 2 devices for the controller leaving you with 125 devices to connect.
I did not check if the hubs are seen as shared devices

I am not sure if the professional hardware solutions which you can buy can run more but those are very expenssive and contain very good components, but if they are just loaders or can run devices like needed for mining is not clear to me.

I wonder how hard it would be to add / change that.

It's impossible,
BTC & NMC use 'sha256' hash and LTC uses 'scrypt' hash

Namecoin merged-mining is "free" - it uses the same proof of work as Bitcoin (SHA256) and the nodes are designed to accept blocks merge-mined on top of the Bitcoin blockchain.  This would be impossible with LTC.  You would need a whole different pool.

NMC is just a tad bit extra income - you're free to donate it all to the pool. Smiley

My red fury has the same problem.

I am quite frustrated   2 pc's 2 mac's 4 or 5 hubs and 15 hours later zip.   with asic block erupters without erupters.   got tired of trying and waiting for a new beta.  I would even mail it to the doc so he could try it.

In fact I would consider making it second prize in the Nov. contest.  Since I just can't keep spending time on it.  My coding skills are so so.

No, NMC is currently the only coin that can be merge mined with BTC.
