What are base fees again ? I seem to be misingg the info lol, I wana say 1% but that sounds too low.
Right now I have 0.6% in perks used... I was thinkin of prepay but that ott me to thinkin on base fees, if it's 1% and I add prepay that puts my perks at 2.10% and is base is one then my totals 3.10%.
The fee is 1% (it's on the bitminter.com front page). Yes, it's very low. So 1% fee + 0.6% donation = 1.6% If your donations reach 2% you can activate the pro minter perk, which makes all other perks free. That way you never need to go higher than 2% donation to get all the features. 1% fee + 2% donation = 3% which has long been a common fee at pools. Well, right now I have 0.00002637 unconfirmed and that's just from like 2-3hrs of fmining on 1 asic lol. I did the math on fees, even at 2.1% which is just the following perks and that came out to still be really low that I should see no affect of. Non Stop, Team Effor & Pre Pay Actually it would be 2% and not 2.1 (3 with base fee) because of the pro thing. So using unconfirmed so far.... if I had all that set that means i'd still be gettin 0.00002558 which is only a loss of 0.00000079. Edit: How far does BTC trail after the period ? 1. ?

Well, right now I have 0.00002637 unconfirmed and that's just from like 2-3hrs of fmining on 1 asic lol. Be sure and read how the PPLNS system works. Whenever a block is found, the payment from the block is divided amongst all miners who have submitted shares in the last 10 shifts. After 2-3 hours, you haven't completed 10 shifts yet (nowhere near it), so you haven't gotten all the payment you might receive, yet. If more blocks are found a couple shifts down the road, you will get paid for them as well. This results in a "ramping up" effect that is confusing, and also means that mining for a few hours doesn't give a figure that you can use to estimate what you would make mining over a longer period of time. If you watch the shifts page and the expected per block value on the account details page, you'll see that as you do work in more shifts, your expected earnings per block rise. Then, if you have a day like I'm having today and have to turn your miners off, you can watch that number slowly creep down. I actually earned payment from the last two blocks bitminter found, even with my miners turned off! But I didn't get as much reward as I would have if I'd been able to keep them on. (Down for 4 shifts now, going on 5...)

We expect 5 minutes of maintenance downtime on mining, 2013.11.13 sometime between 06:00 and 07:00 UTC.
Sorry for the short notice. This should be super quick though.

Edit: How far does BTC trail after the period ?
Bitcoin uses 8 decimal places. Has anyone managed to get their ASIC running on BLF's easyminer android app with this pool?
I have tried every combo of settings I can think of but it just doesnt seem to work.
There should be a tab named something like "custom" or "manual". It has a command line field, where there is an example bfgminer command before you type anything. You need to put in something like: bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://mint.bitminter.com:3333 -u user_worker -p X Where user and worker are your user and worker names. Alternatively if you have a default worker you can just put -u user. In the example above I just put X for password, since any password is accepted at Bitminter. This results in a "ramping up" effect that is confusing, and also means that mining for a few hours doesn't give a figure that you can use to estimate what you would make mining over a longer period of time.
Yeah, I think an easier way of looking at it can be from the point of view of a single accepted proof of work. It goes into a shift. As soon as the shift is completed it becomes eligible for payments from new blocks that are found. Whether you keep mining or stop, it will keep getting paid from each new block we find until 10 more shifts are completed. After that this proof of work is no longer in one of the 10 latest shifts. So after you do some work it takes 10 shifts (currently about 10 hours) before the work is fully paid. +20 hours if prepay is turned off, but you can see the amount as unconfirmed before that.

Personal Assets Balance Unconfirmed Future Expected per block
Would you consider a "confirmed" colum that shows what's been confirmed but just not added to account balance yet ? I suspect you could even have it to show the "true" balance, by that I mean confirmed stuff thats yet to be paid but has fees aalready deducted.

I think that's what "balance" shows now... confirmed payout with fees/donations already deducted.

Everything paid to your Bitminter account that you haven't cashed out yet. After a block is confirmed the income from that block moves from your unconfirmed balance to your regular balance. This normally takes only a few seconds to happen, so I don't think there is the need for another balance for "confirmed" or "payment about to happen". back to bitminter. This time for good. I love this pool. It just feels right

I know GHs per shift has some variance, but I am observing that I am consistently 5-10% down on the shifts that end in the 10AM hour, bitminter time. Sometimes it's as bad as 15-20%
Is there some reason for this? I am thinking network congestion near the Bitminter end as the business day starts in Germany. Is there anything I can do to avoid it?
Doesn't sound like a lot but on a "bad" day it's gonna be a 2 or 3% kick in the balls across the board due to the lower share.
"Shit happens" " I know, but after noticing this, and seeing it happen consistently it seems like the kind of shit one ought to be able to avoid.
I am normally asleep at this time of day (5AM I think) on the other side of "the pond" here, or I would try to see what's happening.
Anyone else have this problem and a workaround? Can the good Doctor do anything about it?

Welcome home Doc… This is probably the biggest reason. Your presence and constant help are a big asset to your pool. Although I've moved on to hardware with it's own interface, your Java based software was and still is the easiest way to get mining for a beginner. Good luck all.

I wanted to come back to bitminter. But after mining for 20~ hours with 200 GH/s I'm only seeing 0.05BTC. Was it just a bad few rounds? Even with bad rounds, I never had it this bad at slush.

It does seem like it has been a rough day. But yesterday seemed like an incredible 'lucky' day. So I imagine that it is just a combination of ramping up for ~10 hours and then the roughness of today. It will get better. This pool seems to have better 'luck' than others, but this could all be in my head. I would suggest what I believe to be the average number of blocks Bitminter finds a day and you could multiply that by your earnings/block, so you could have an estimate of what you would expect to earn, daily. I am not sure I am qualified to offer an average, but a very rough average is 10-12 blocks/day. Someone else surely knows better than I.

I'm not seeing this in my stats. The Bitminter mining server is in the US currently. That would be the middle of the night where the server is. And it doesn't seem to be affecting me. Could it be something on your end? Or could it be random - did you look at many days at 10 AM and they all showed this? I wanted to come back to bitminter. But after mining for 20~ hours with 200 GH/s I'm only seeing 0.05BTC. Was it just a bad few rounds? Even with bad rounds, I never had it this bad at slush.
Remember there is a delay from you do some work until it is paid, 10 shifts, which is currently almost 10 hours. If you don't use the prepay perk then block confirmations also take almost 20 hours, although you will be able to see the unconfirmed balance immediately after the block is found. Have a look at the reward graphs: https://bitminter.com/stats/rewardsThat's the last 2-3 weeks. Looks pretty even. We did have that one monster round, so if you mined during that the payouts were low. We soon after recouped our losses with many lucky blocks, but maybe you had left the pool at that time. There is also some useful info on the payouts here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=27062.msg2769824#msg2769824And remember, if you get the lowest hash in november you win a KnC Jupiter: https://bitminter.com/mintrace

16 blocks yesterday looks very nice. 5 blocks so far today is less nice. It goes up and down a bit. A day or two is often not enough to even out the element of luck. Remember the 10 shift (10 hours right now) delay though. If you mined for only 24 hours so far and there is a 10 hour delay from work is done until that work is fully paid, it's only natural that the coins come in slowly at first. That doesn't mean you are paid badly, the pay is coming, whether you keep mining or not.

Especially since the comments, to some degree or another, always seem to have a "BitMinter is cheating me!" overtone. You're a better man than I, Dr. H.

you do realize that the first 10 hours are your ramp up from 0 to 200gh don't you? I suggest you run for 100 hours then stop. you will continue to collect during the next 10 hours as your ramp down from 200gh to zero happens. MorebloodWine some hash is on the way. 2 sticks
