A ddos attack snuck under the radar for a minute before they got filtered. Apologies for the bumpy ride just now. Mining service looks healthy again now.

Something is still going on as I see my miners going offline for a couple of minutes or in the case of my avalons I see the failing over to my backup pool. Plus I have only received two payouts for the entire day out of the normal 8 to 11 I normally receive at this current difficultly level.

It's possible you got filtered along with the botnet. In that case it should not last more than a couple minutes.

Unlucky day today too, yes. Hopefully we find more blocks tomorrow. Should be 3 payouts though, not 2.

Is there still an issue with the website?  I see via my mining_proxy that I've still been mining via my 3 Block Erupter cubes at 100+ghps for the last hour or so, and we've mined a block about 4 blocks ago (as shown on blockchain.com) but the website doesn't show it, and neither does my account.  Will it update when things settle down after the ddos?

Thanks for all of your work!

That's blockchain.info mistakenly thinking the block was created by Bitminter just because it was relayed through one of our bitcoin nodes.

blockchain.info needs to learn that in a peer-to-peer network everyone are relaying data all the time. If they see a block being relayed through a certain bitcoin node, it doesn't mean anything.

+1 for manual cash out ploz Smiley

I'm not sure what the minimum should be for manual cash out. I don't really want to make it too easy for users to shoot themselves in the foot. I'm getting a lot of complaints from GPU miners wanting to cash out some bitdust though. It might be easier to just let them do it, instead of explaining over and over how much it will hurt. Tongue

I'm in the GPU-situation either (0.0002 btc per day that make no sense to mine) and I don't understand what damage should I get from emptying my account that holds 0.00x BTCs?

We are under ddos attack again. Some users are experiencing problems connecting because they get filtered along with the attackers. We are working on improving the filtering right now to prevent this from happening. Working on this right now.

I just noticed an increase in the length of each shift from just under an hour to 77 minutes.  Any reason for the change in shift length?

There was just a 23% diff increase and the pool hashrate hasn't gone up recently. That means each shift takes a bit longer. Assuming I understand how this all works which might be a stretch  Smiley

In other news, do the Chili Miners work with the BitMinter client?

The diff increase was just under / around a week ago or as of this reply, 476 blocks ago, next increase is in 1540 since if I recall the increase or derease is every 2016 blocks.

To be decided...

Yep. And if you go back in the shifts list you can see the shifts getting longer right on the point where the difficulty changes.

In other news, do the Chili Miners work with the BitMinter client?

In the latest version of Bitminter client I made a fix for the Chili firmware BFL-incompatibility, but I couldn't get anyone to test whether it works. Worth a try. Wink

Hi Haribo!

I'm a newbie on your pool, I've been noticing a lot of disconnects, yesterday and today. Have you been attacked again?

Hope the sods go away soon!

Just started back up with Bitminter 2 weeks ago and pretty happy.

Is there a graph or the like to see the different pools, their hash rates and payouts? (So as to keep all things open and honest and point out problems, as Slush recently has been off by being proportionately lower in payouts for their hashrate.)

BTC = Black Swan.
BTC = Antifragile - "Some things benefit from shocks; they thrive and grow when exposed to volatility, randomness, disorder, and stressors and love adventure, risk, and uncertainty. Robust is not the opposite of fragile.
