We had two extremely long blocks today.  Meanwhile the last few days prior have been overwhelmingly good luck (the 24h, 3d, 1w, 2w, 1m, and 3m luck were all above 100%).  Today's luck will push the 24-hour measurement below 100% soon, but it hasn't been bad enough to come close to knocking the 3-day (and higher) luck under 100%.

It has been odd both good and bad.
That's why I don't go anywhere else because it averages out.
The pool is well run and up to date.
Still got a bit spoiled with the good runs of luck.

I'm running 560 Gh/s and only getting .04 BTC / day. Man, I miss a couple months ago. And people said I could run this miner for several more months. I doubt that.

You got somethin wrong there, I'm avg 0.03 a day an I got just north of 180Gh/s.

You should be seeing 0.08/0.09 a day with your hash.

Edit: FWIW, you can run your miner aas long as it at least pays for itself in electricity.

All I need to do is make $60 a month with the Avalon I have to make it worth while to mine.

To be decided...

Amazing. Between my last post and now it went up to .07, and my hashing rate has been constant. Just yesterday it was .1 / day. Hell, when ever my earnings drop I'll just post it here and it will just go up by itself.

24H luck is at a %75 and 3D is still %100. All the way to 1 month which is %100.  Come on lady luck, where did you go?

Something is definitely wrong. You should be getting .09 btc/day with 560 gh/s.

It's called variance. On average, you should get ~.09 btc per day but btcguild has had some bad luck over the last day or so.

75% luck or 0.75x0.09=0.0675, your image shows 0.74.  I've seen you complain about this well over 4 times in this thread.  I don't mean to ridicule you but you really need to spend some time reading about how basic statistics and read through the last 20 pages where E clearly explains the stats.

On those days we had 120% luck you would have made 1.2x(your expected rate).  If that is not the case simply look at your charts and confirm that your miner is indeed consistently putting out 560GH/s.  This is not difficult math (for that your can read organofcorti's posts and make your head itch).

Not happening on mine.
That would be a great thing to see and have it be legit one day.
You could always send 1 or 2 Bitcoin my way out of that.   LOL

In all seriousness I hope it is just a display bug I would hate to see the pool ruined by a messed up payout like that.

Don't worry, I don't get offended and I don't mind to offend others. If someone gets offended because of what someone says they have issues. There really isn't anything to troubleshoot. I'll go along with luck and variance on most cases. I can confirm my little miner running smoothly at home, hasn't budged from 560Gh/s for many weeks now according to CGminer. Where it does change is at the guild pool.  CGminer says 560Gh/s and the guild says today 580Gh/s. I did read a post about how/why that happens, just have to go back and look for it. It was well spelled out. Time for some overclocking a little.

Pools estimate speed based on share submission rates.  Just like the pool has variance in solving blocks, your miner has variance in solving shares.  While the two numbers should be fairly close, you will generally see 5-10% swings up or down on the pool dashboard.  If you look at the Charts page, you can see these fluctuations in your estimated speed based on share submissions.  You'll notice the 1-week chart is a much steadier line, since this uses 4-hour averages instead of 1-hour averages.

Garble-dee gook about hash rates and payouts not being what the estimate calculators estimate.

Let's spell it out.  I know it takes a little time to understand but:

V. A. R. I. A. N. C. E.

For example, you're driving to work.  You don't drive 50 MPH the whole way there.  You have to speed up and slow down based on where you travel.  Maybe get stuck behind a slow driver.  You have to start and stop and you don't go from zero to 60 in nanoseconds.  This is the same thing with bitcoin mining.  You don't mine at a constant rate. Sometimes you mine at a lower rate based on hardware errors, luck of shares, bandwidth, and latency.  That's the slow driver you're following.  You might get above your estimated hash rate, that's passing a slow ass driver.   All this averages out to your "hash rate" as estimated via the pool.  When your daily return lessens, it's because work got farther away and it takes longer to drive there.  That's the difficulty going up.  So, to sum it up...

Sometimes you drive fast, sometimes you drive slow or get caught in a school zone, but no matter what, it takes longer every day to get to work.

Everyone who wants to mine should be forced to play online poker first...

opentoe go ten table 25hrs a week for 12 months.  Then you will have no problem understanding variance!
