Strange...I have a R.Pi hashing with 5 U1's running Rasbian with BFGMiner 3.10.  Apparently, last night sometime all my miners stopped for exactly 1 shift, then started up again.  I'm wondering if something was updated in BTCGuild that may have caused my connection to the site to stop for a while, or if my hardware just decided to stop for exactly 1 hour and reboot...

If your broadband provider chose that moment to update the firmware on your modem or had an outage on their end, that would explain this behavior. Happened for me (Comcast) on Sunday morning.

I must say in Comcast's defense, that their customer service is almost as good as BTCGuilds...plus they're almost as reliable as well...  Wink Grin

I guess I'm one of the lucky few who can get comcast in my state (Vermont).  There are quite a few very rural areas where the line stops short by a few thousand feet and would cost upwards of $10k to get installed...but if there are enough people on the end that want it, they can split the cost...Either way, better than DSL, dialup, or Satellite...

Hey Eleuthria, with all the replies made since my last one I'm not sure if you missed it or not but I sent you a PM asking for a teeny favor ;-)

It did seem we were on the upswing again.
Still at least we are doing better than other pools.

3 month luck is finally under 100% Sad.  First time it's ever happened.  I did add a 6-month luck figure now that we actually have 6 months of luck history stored.  Then again, expectation states it should be above and below 100% in roughly even amounts of time (averaging out to neutral over an infinite length of time).  I suppose the bright side is we had our good luck when difficulty was lower, which puts long term earnings above expectation by a decent margin for users that were around during those times.

Quite true.
I noticed that private unknown pool is getting close to 25% and growing.
Another private huge farm or manufactures mining on pre-sold equipment again until it is almost not profitable.
This is really killing mining for anyone not already rich.
I'm still glad I am on BTCG as our luck is still better than others including ghash.

The beauty of mining is that you may sit here, and there are miners mining for you Smiley Pure capitalism in action.

BTC Guild is approximately 1/6th - 1/5th the network.  The entire network has periods with > 1 hour between blocks.  A 6 hour block is not unexpected for 1/6th - 1/5th the network.  It happens.  As a matter of fact, it happens probably more than once a month (both for the whole network and for the pool).
