I don't want him to retire because quite clearly he still has five rounds in him, against some of the best fighters. What I don't want him to do is keep going to the point where he's just getting beat downs. A bit like the concern with Ferguson recently, although I'm not sure he's even finished in terms of ability, just unlucky with the last fight.

After his fight with Jiri Prochazka Many considered wanting to see Glover Teixeira fight again, it really is mind-blowing that fight with Jiri Prochazka, and I am for Prochazka that night, but seeing Teixeira fight the result can get the other way around, or for Glover to winning that fight, pretty much many are in shock for Glover Teixeira to be locked in a rear-naked choke by Prochazka, I may have won the bet but I am feeling empty inside seeing the fight has ended, I really love that one,

Joanna has been at the top of the game for a long time. I think she said twenty years right? I didn't realise it was that long, obviously she's talking about her MMA career, and not UFC.

Well, it is really time for her to let go, and from that interviews, Joanna Jedrzejczyk have confirmed that she was shocked by the power of Zhang Weili like she was a different fighter back in their 1st fight, Weili now has a vastly improved wrestling and training with Henry Cejudo has proven it on the outcome, and it can be a great help with other fighters in this division, and that Strength that Bothers Joanna Jedrzejczyk she has face a difference Zhang Weili,

The winner and loser of Cerone / Lauzon fight can both retire Cheesy but it could be a quick and chaotic fight.

Holly shid Eddie Wineland is still fighting? Let's go Eddie!

Cowboy must retire. The guy is on a huge streak of looses since 2019 and every time he got beaten badly. Hard to predict how much punches he could hold before getting injured. Or, he will be left as a card filler. Or, due to Cowboy name being rather popular, he could be left as a warmup for other fighters, to start their career from a win over a "big" (former) star.

I am pretty much sure that Cerone will try to make a performance of the night, will take a risk and attack, and fly away in a nasty KO.

Frankly, I am disappointed with Glover Texeira performance. He had lost on his field. I could have understood of Prochazka would have KO him, but loosing via submission, when you have a black belt in BJJ, to a guy with only 2 wins by sub among 28... The only thing I liked about this fight was that Glover at his age has enough gas for 5*5min fight.

With Teixera getting old for a fighter at the highest level of MMA, I think what Teixera has done is unbelievable.  Even many fighters admired Teixera's show.  And as for his defeat via submission, I think it was just a misfortune that was on Teixera's side.  And on the other hand, the fact that Jiri was able to compete with Teixera on the ground showed the Prochazka's wrestling level.

Not a lot of women on this fight card so I'm anticipating a stand and bang fiasco in order to gain glory. Don't forget to tune in for the prelims as I expect the court McGee matchup to be an early contender for fight of the night. Holland, Cerone, the names are known to anyone whos played MMA online. Looking forward to the matchups as they challenge one another to gain fight of the night bonuses.

Well, it is really time for her to let go, and from that interviews, Joanna Jedrzejczyk have confirmed that she was shocked by the power of Zhang Weili like she was a different fighter back in their 1st fight, Weili now has a vastly improved wrestling and training with Henry Cejudo has proven it on the outcome, and it can be a great help with other fighters in this division, and that Strength that Bothers Joanna Jedrzejczyk she has face a difference Zhang Weili,
Yeah, you can see it. Weili seems to be able to overpower most of her opponenet, and while they might be the same weight going into the fight, she looks massive on the actual night. I imagine she cuts quite a bit. What's actually quite impressive about her is her frame, she's just so big, and I can see why her opponents do struggle with that. She's also a crisp striker, so she's a well rounded fighter. I do like Weili.

I'd like to see her, and Rose again at some point. I thought Rose got lucky in the first fight, and I'm expecting a little push back from that. The second fight was obviously confirmation Rose has what it takes, but I just feel Weili could do better. Plus, I'll be honest with the stinker that Rose put on recently for the title defense, that really annoyed me. Glad she didn't win to be honest, otherwise it would've been even more annoying.

Next UFC event is coming soon and it's meh Calvin Kattar vs Josh Emmett, not the main event I really want to see.
Than we have biggest losers co-main event with Donald Cerrone vs Joe Lauzon, you don't know who is in worse form from this two.
I could probably pick two or max three fights I would watch, but this is not something I would stay awake in the middle of the night.
That doesn't mean I didn't place my prediction in Sportsbet Multimaster challenge Wink

Rose is my favorite female fighter, and she earned everything with hard work, it was not luck that helped her against Weili, she was better.

As I am seeing Zhang Weili now I see a different fighter now she surely improve a lot, and I think that is some motivation right there, and surely her body build and physique look buff right now, Henry Cejudo was really something when it comes to coaching, she really changes Zhang Weili in a small amount of time, her wrestling really is improved and as I have said Joanna Jędrzejczyk admits that she feels the power of Weili, and realizing that she has already left behind I think she then decided to retire instead,

And my thoughts on the Rose Namajuna's fight back in their 1st fight I think that Rose Namajunas really won that fight, she surely executed that kick perfectly, but in the 2nd fight I think she got lucky because I think Zhang Weili hasn't fully developed her new found technique, and in her recent fight Zhang Weili has recently become a better well-rounded fighter and if a rematch between Zhang Weili and Rose Namajunas ever occur, I would consider going with Zhang Weili this time, improve striking, because of the Hickman Brothers, Improved Wrestling because of Henry Cejudo I surely can not ask for more, on what Zhang Weili hasn't improved with,

Well, I agree her 1st fight with Weili is not just like, it is her perfect execution that let her win, But nothing lasts forever, if a 3 rematch for Weili and Namajunas has commenced I would put my money on Zhang Weili, but I really like Rose Namajunas, but that 1st might have gotten into her head, she mostly underestimated Weili on their 2nd fight, not expecting Weili to pull a takedown, but the Zhang Weili now has the power and technical aspect that can change the outcome of the 1st fight, and right now I really think for Zhang Weili as a improved version of her self,

And recently Calvin Kattar has spoken in an interview back on the Rob Font VS Marlon Vera fight on April 30, 2022, and he has said that Josh Emmett is a tough opponent and it will be a main hell of a main event that was he promise,
Of course, Emmet is a strong opponent and very dangerous, but Kattar is a fairly accurate fighter and knows how to keep his distance well.

We'll find out who hits harder on the night as I'm not quite sure. Although, what I'm sure of is Kattar is one hell of a tough bastard. That Max fight will probably forever be in my mind. I don't think it was the greatest fight since it was very one sided, but the amount Kattar took, and was still trying to come forward was absolutely insane.

Kattar has a very strong character, the fight with Max showed how much he can take a punch. But in the battle with Max, it was clear how much Kattar was losing to him in speed.

My contenders for fight of the night are Adrian Yanez vs Tony Kelley, Kevin Holland vs Tim Means and the main event Kattar vs Emmett.

Here's a free fight vid for Emmett just in case you guys don't know what kind of a fighter he is.  The guy has power and starches people.  It was surprising that Ige survived during their match.  But then again Kattar looks to me like he has an iron cast chin, so it'll be interesting to see how these guys match up.

Funny notice - when Jon Jones was a champ, he has held title for along period and had numerous title defences. Without him, the belt does not stay long with one fighter. Prochazka, Texeira, Blachowicz. Rakic or Ankalaev have all chances to take belt from Prochazka. Jon Jones defended light heavyweight belt 12 times. Cant imagine if Prochazka would do the same. This shows how good JJ was and how he wastes his talent.

^  Yup same here.  I think Jan Blachowicz could beat him, Ankalaev could beat him, Rakic has a chance and even Jamahal Hill.  Wait for him to rise up in the rankings and get his shot.  He could just be a match away before a title shot.  He'll be fighting Thiago Santos next in a couple of months...  Check it out.

Yeah, Jan takes it for me. Jiri probably doesn't hold onto it more than one title defense, and even them I'm not sure he'll be able to defend it once. At least the division is interesting, rather than just one guy holding onto it for a long time. I say the same about Izzy, which I'm a fan of.

It'll be a interesting match up in my opinion. I see it either going the distance with Kattar managing to stay safe enough or Emmet absolutely smashes him, and wins via KO. I'm probably not going to bet on that fight, too tough to call. If Kattar can keep the distance, and stay relatively safe I can see him winning comfortably on points, probably has the technical advantage.

I think that light-heavyweight division is becoming very interesting now and I think that Jiri won't be able to keep his belt for long time.
After Jon Jones left this division we see a lot of changes and I don't see anyone who can keep championship title for longer duration of time.
Jiri is good fighter but in his last fight everyone could see so many flaws and he was seconds away to lose that fight.
Both Ankalaev and Rakic are my favorites to challenge and beat current championg Jiri Prochazka.

I am fan of Izzy but weight difference is just to big for him, so I don't see him in light-heavyweight division, unless he puts a lot of muscles quickly.

Izzy slowly turning into Canelo. He has beaten everyone in his weight division, someone even twice. He must move to other division to improve. Otherwise beating everyone for the third time would really be boring.

Btw, we will see Izzy in just two weeks, on July 2 in a fight against Jared Cannonier at UFC 276. Prepare for funny trashtalk from Izzy on media. This is going to be a good fight, as Cannonier used to be in light heavyweight division. Good test for Izzy, as on the fight day, Cannonier will be much heavier that on weigh-in day Smiley

I am fan of Izzy but weight difference is just to big for him, so I don't see him in light-heavyweight division, unless he puts a lot of muscles quickly.

Yeah, it was more of a comment on his dominance in his oroper weight class. I thought the step up was a little ambitious, and while it did take that zero off his record, I must say I do like to see fighters challenge themselves, and be prepared to lose. It was the weight though that made the difference.

Yeah, looking forward to the fight, but I'm pretty nervous. Cannonier is a dangerous fighter. I'm always nervous in Izzy fights though, and at times he has made it almost laughable. Against Costa I was worried, but he pretty much nullified his game. I was worried against Bobby Knuckles recently, but honestly not so much, as I wouldn't have minded so much. Bobby nearly had it this time.

I am betting on Israel to win against Cannonier, he is younger, faster, has reach advantage, and I think he is more intelligent fighter.
I do expect fight to go all five rounds and Cannonier could win one or two rounds, but that whole fight card is sick and I can't wait to see some action.

Big news from UFC, Zabit Magomedsharipov announced he is officially retired now with great 18-1 record in MMA!
He is 31 years old now, an reason for this was many canceled fights and bigger health problems, he is now recovered but not feeling so good for competing like before.
He is not athlete anymore but he is going to stay in MMA, maybe as a coach or helping Khabib in Eagle FC, who knows.

I'll probably be going with Cannonier, at least betting wise. Prediction will be Izzy. I haven't checked if the odds are up yet, but I imagine it'll be heavily in favour of Izzy. I like Izzy, and I'll be wanting him to win. However, if I do lose...I win, right? That's my line of thinking, plus the odds on Izzy are usually extremely low. Like 1.20-1.40, probably be around there again. Alternatively, I might just give the fight a miss.

Kattar is durable enough...  I think, eerrr I hope so.  I got him at top ticket for my lottery.  And I have to say, I'm glad that a lot of you guys are coming up to speed and having a feel for what's going on in the UFC.  I could tell just from reading all your replies.  It was a lot different a couple of years ago.

Here's what my lottery ticket would look like...  I haven't made the bet yet as I want to see these guys on the scale.  There might be changes.  And the lines are from Rollbit.  I started going there instead of my Stake account.  That account could be bad luck.  Lololol.  Cheesy

Kattar - Daukas at 1.97
Rodrigues - De Paula - Hawes at 5.54
Holland - Staman - Ramos at 11.38
Yanez - McGee - Buckley at 77.12
Jasudavicius - Lauzon - Ismagulov at 396.65

Same format with the betting.  10, 5, 2, 2 and 1 for 20 bucks total.

Of course, Emmet is a strong opponent and very dangerous, but Kattar is a fairly accurate fighter and knows how to keep his distance well.

Yup! I think Calvin Kattar will think of something to counter Josh Emmet like he always does, but surely Josh Emmet is one tough bastard to crack and the strength is surely the one that Kattar needs to look for and surely he has just thrown Scott Holtzman around the ring and controlling him with wrestling but I think Calvin Kattar is more technical but he will surely think of something, and men this is one great fight and I am surely curious on what can happen,

Emmet is the popular badass and has been cheered by the crowd and that one jab from Josh Emmet has put down Mirsad Bektic on the ground that was 1 huge jab that stun Mirsad Bektic, that was one absolute win from Josh Emmet, and I really feel that Calvin Kattar will surely have a hard time and he surely admits it aswell that Josh Emmet is one tough opponent to crack, and he was right, Mirsad Bektic was knocked out on the 1st round, Sheesh! thanks for sharing this I am now seeing the big picture on how powerful Josh Emmet is,
