Possible rain on all five days of the match Lips sealed  I dont think we'll have a result out of this match even with the likes of Board, Anderson, Jofra and Woakes, unless the Windies were stupid enough to throw away the wickets as they did in the last day of the previous test.
First session ends without any trouble and both teams done good job as West Indies take 2 crucial wickets and England 66 runs now two key men on crease these both can changed things for England if stay on crease for some more time.

Edit: Big wicket for West Indies Stokes bowled by Roach on 20.

@BitSat19 yes so far no signs of rains so that’s good but England have lost Stokes and that’s bad, therefore it’ll be really interesting to see if other player’s will be able to step up or no to help the team set up a big total. @akhjob even if rains limit the playing time I yet feel that West Indies will choke under pressure if they loose few early wickets, and further I have full faith in England’s bowling line-up to take those early wickets. Also I’m once again wagering on England to win this match, so wanted to know what are you’ll predictions for this game?.

The match is in very interesting phase. England can bat the whole day and get good runs from here and a grip on the match. On the other hand WI can get quick wickets after stokes dismissal , can bowl out England for cheap. Rory Burns is looking good for England at 54 runs.

Now England 123/4 Burns also gone Butler and Pope on crease last pair then we have very long tail of bowlers for West Indies Chase done usual job second over and Burns wicket good cricket by them.

West Indies (Playing XI): Kraigg Brathwaite, John Campbell, Shai Hope, Shamarh Brooks, Roston Chase, Jermaine Blackwood, Shane Dowrich(w), Jason Holder(c), Rahkeem Cornwall, Kemar Roach, Shannon Gabriel

Edit : Roach got the first wicket (Sibley) score is 1/1/1
Interesting. Anderson, Broad would go on together in the bowling attack with Woakes and Archer too on the side. I think the great batting of Ben Stokes has allowed them to go with 5 full time bowlers and Chris Woakes can bat too. I think England have realized that key to win this series is to bowl out west Indies ASAP. But to be very true if you give a look on batting line up you would see just 3 big names. Root, Stokes and Buttler. What do you think JS? will this strategy work or it could backfire? West Indies are confident about their bowling line up too. But I have heard Gabriel is injured and is now off-field.
England went with the 4 seamers which is understandable on overcast and cloudy condition. Another reason to add 4 seamer is Ben stoke is not able to bawl in this match due to "Niggle" may be few overs at best. Joe Root gave some hint about it yesterday during his press conference when he was talking about Ben stokes.

England losing wickets today, they are already 4 down including Root and Stokes so this strategy is about to fail soon if that's the case. Now last recognized batting pair at the crease, in case they fail too then expecting some fightback from the lower order. English tailenders are capable of adding 50+ runs easily if not facing the new ball.

I am not sure why Windies included 2 spinners at such conditions, yeah Gabriel is also experiencing niggle issue but he's back, he's looking tired tho. May be that's why they added another spinner in the playing squad.

I doubt if Stokes going to surpass Jacques Kallis even on batting, let alone Sobers. If he's focusing on only Test/ODI then there is some chance that he could play longer and come close to them but again their Test batting average is above 55 and Stokes is still under 40 average.

He always perform in big games tho, which is commendable.
Ben Stokes will be in the class of Ian Botham and Andrew Flintoff and he could become the best all rounder England ever produced and it is a big shoe to fill considering i always felt Andrew Flintoff did not explore his full potential and the main reason is injuries and the performance in the 2005 Ashes where Flintoff was touching around 150 km/hr bowling deadly spells and scoring runs like he owns the pitch was a sight in itself. If Ben Stokes can take care of his fitness then he can fulfill his potential as he always rise according to the occasion and players who single handedly win matches and series will be remembered for decades.

Coming to the match, England is struggling at 131 for the loss of 4 wickets and i hope they can score around 250 runs.

Its time to see the odds. The match is at a point where you should bet on either side and get good odds.

WI would be happy till now as after winning the toss decided to field and already took 4 wickets for 126 runs. After the first wicket felling very early England did manage to slightly pull back things and now it will all be depended upon middle and lower middle order as this time Stokes got out very early.

The match is slipping from the hands of WI. The early advantage of getting stokes out is also now gone and England manage to keep the wickets in hand and scored over 200. Any score between 300 - 350 will be enough to make West Indies batsmen to panic. Still 17 overs left in the day and england looking favorite through out the first day of this test.

Today we have 3 complete sessions and I watch some as well first two sessions belong to both teams but in third session Butler and Pope change all things for home team run rate is also very good and 100 runs partnership from these two bring England in very strong position now holder looking for new ball as may be its turns things for West Indies but now I am feeling England is going with upper hand.

This pair has literally saved England from a collapse of gigantic magnitude. I think this is the reason they are going with one less batsmen they are so confident about their batting. 350-400 on board is more than enough for the first innings considering you have 5 world class pacers. I think even if rain takes one day England could still wrap it up in remaining days but that's disheartening to see Rain forecast on almost all remaining 4 days. Let's see if rain can help west Indies draw this series Cheesy

Olli and Buttler partnership have helped England to surpass 250 runs for 4 wickets only. Ollie is now on 91 and Buttler is on 56 runs. England have come back strongly after the start they had got it and if they can manage to survive without a wicket in last 5 overs of the day that will be a good thing. Let us see if Ollie can complete his century today or not.

The way Ollie Pope batted yesterday, he deserve the century. He played at a strike rate of 64 which is very impressive.  I am sure pope would not have slept last night because of the tension of getting the 9 runs to reach the milestone. Buttler is also playing good at 56 and both of these batsmen can take the england lead close to 400.

I am sure Ollie will be able to score his hundred, he only needs 9 runs more. Burns also played well, he gave a good start to England but the middle order was not able to capatalize it. I expected Root to stick to the wicket till the end but he was out for just 17.

O.Pope and J.Buttler are really playing well. I hope they both can do hundred. England is much better team than West-Indies and they are experienced at test gameplay strategy well than West-Indies. another thing is they have some world class cricketer, if one of them flop today, another player will fill his space. so that England team is more stable.

I am sure Ollie will be able to score his hundred, he only needs 9 runs more. Burns also played well, he gave a good start to England but the middle order was not able to capatalize it. I expected Root to stick to the wicket till the end but he was out for just 17.

He won't get his century today, as he got out to Shannon Gabriel on 91. England has lost 4 wickets while adding 38 runs so far this morning. But then, the 9th wicket partnership between Stuart Broad and Dominic Bess has so far added 20 runs and if they could stay at cease for a little bit longer, then this match will slip out of West Indies's hand. Also, Roach/Gabriel are about to finish their initial spell.

Windies trying hard to throw all advantage, they did yesterday when English team was struggling at 122/4 and repeating same after 4 quick wickets in the morning session. This time tailender Stuart broad punishing them, embarrassing for every bowling side when number 10 batsman makes 50 runs in just 33 balls.

score 356/8

Chase is man with golden arm every time West Indies need wicket he done for his team Broad gone for 60 runs but still this inning is going to hurt them very badly 76 runs partnership in just 14.4 overs very good from tail enders.

Yeah, damage done already. Broad's inning made sure that England not losing game from here very easily. Now Windies need couple of solid inning if they want to compete in this test match, otherwise England already won the series.

Edit

England : 369 all out
Windies : 3/1  -Broad strikes-

I am also watching the match and as expected the West Indies team failed to take the pressure of runs on the board. Look like West Indies team will need the help of rain to safe this test match. After winning the first test match,  West Indies disappointed in the later matches.
