It's very sad and unfortunate for us waiting for the games to start especially waiting for our favorite team schedule to play and also their road games but we cannot do nothing with this since this is global issue and worse case scenario will come if we or they will not follow what the experts orders so for the safety of all and if we want to make fast to get back our normal life we should cooperate as well the other to stop the social gatherings for now and let this case controlled so that if the vaccine became available the games for sure came back with different intensity.

It is not the priority, a lot of people are struggling right now, the PBA players will survive as they have good salary and hopefully they have savings as well.
PBA has been an entertainment for us but the measures impose by the government is necessary to keep the number of infection to be limited only, so as soon as the covid-19 will be defeated, maybe that's the time we can see this league to resume again.

We need vaccine to fully stop the virus, but if the virus will just die because it cannot be spread anymore, maybe it could help our economy to recover again and though sports is not the priority, but sooner it will re open and we will once again enjoy it.

I am sure the owners or the organization in any sports and in any part of the world already understands that if they will wait for the vaccine, they will loss their business, so its expected that they are already planning now on how to put a certain measures that will make players safe and people involve when they will resume the game.

TBH, I thought that there is no chance for it to happen, only the vaccine will keep the sports to resume but it's not realistic if we will wait years for them to resume, and just like other countries are doing, they are still resuming the sports despite of the covid-19 threat.

For sure it will that's why we cannot see any games running right now and if they insist to continue this still the president will not allow since he know how dangerous this plan is, We know our president will not let any gatherings to happen so we should really expect anything back to normal once this vaccine will became available.

There are potential came out already and I think we are near to have a cure and provably we will have that in next following months.

I think possibilities to continue the season is indeed but of course for live streaming only and for the audience?limiting to 1/3 of the capacity can prevent the spreading of virus.

So basically this can be done but of course with assurance to the public that administration will assure the safety and health of players and fans.

They have their channel which is TV 5 , we can watch it for free but if they will not cover it for free then we would understand as they are not making money from the crowd to watch the game, of course I am in favor of no crowd event.

So basically this can be done but of course with assurance to the public that administration will assure the safety and health of players and fans.

Definitely, worst is that they might get fined for insisting on resuming the league although the President's decision were sometimes odd, so we can't be certain, IMO. But whatever, best bet that remains here is having the league to remain shutdown at all cost until as @Russlenat mentioned, vaccines became available and be released in the market, and/or when the virus die since there were no transmissions anymore which would be very difficult to happen but possible by ordering strict rules and having a disciplined and law abiding citizens (high hopes for it to happen lol). They might be able to fulfill the interest of missin' the game but when they mistakenly let a single player, staff or whoever it is get inside the stadium unknowingly that it carries the virus, it would be an end game for 'em, and they must fixed as soon as possible.

Also, I know some people are gambling heavily on these sports, so those who like to gamble will surely avail on the subscription,I don't know how much they are going to make but at least they are making an income despite of the situation we are facing now.

I guess you have a point here, so if the PBA organization, can't make money from the crowd, then they will only get if from their usual advertisers, so if they still think that would be alright to pursue the return of the PBA, then so be it.

You are right, and if they will go for PPV, not everyone will enjoy and we know that everyone wants just enjoyment while staying at home.

Just read an article about this eye popping bonus scheme on the offer sheet made by Tanduay Rum Masters on Ildefonso back then. Monthly salary was maximum and needless to say, the bonus scheme is really worth a nod.


Just wonder or curious how an offer sheet to Fajardo by San Miguel looks these days  .

Recent news from a facebook page NBA Buzz. Kai Sotto just signed into NBA G-League pro program, and he's the very first international player to do it so. Meaning he's the first person born outside the America who did it.

As a supporter, I like what he did. Not trying to be sort of an analytics here but college basketball in US is entirely for an exposure of American guys. He can still be draft in NBA, either way, he just need to improved and develop his way out. So pursuing his career in G League is, IMO not a bad decision. He's making some money now while developing his skills with NBA caliber guys 'cause G League players is more skilled, tough, and physical than college dudes. Unlike Kobe Paras, who pursue college basketball and had benched was really unfortunate. Maybe Kai, and his family saw it coming though media have him too much hyped.

To add, Kai would get tagged with Jalen Green in a new team. This indicates that he might have a lot of time playing on court with a talented and potential number 1 pick player for 2021 NBA draft, and more young fellas. You know, kind of young guys bringing up the fire for a new team.



I admire Kai Sotto for his dedication go overseas and pursue his becoming the first pure pinoy to draft in NBA. Do you guys think it was a good decision for him? Instead of pursuing college then getting in the line up for future draft picks?

If happened, they will be the most dominant team that year.

For me, SMB and Tanduay are just the same. They throwing the same words to each other. They like to offer good to a player, no matter the cost. But San Miguel is a close friend of most big people behind PBA so Tanduay is just unlucky that time lol.

He got to much hype from the media but I wonder if his body can sustain the intensity on the G league we know the intensity is different and might it will end of his NBA dream if he got injured there, maybe he needs to develop first on college and focus to add body mass so that he can fight the physically on higher leagues we all know his position is center and skinny asses will not be a thread for physically buff american guys. And Kobe Paras story is different from Kai he's a big bluff and look where he is now he just sit up and didn't even make a noise in gilas the media is just over hyped him.

Maybe, but I players within the organization are already aware of this and they know what MVP is getting for leading the team.
Besides, if they are not an MVP caliber player, they don't have to compete because the coach will just design play fro the MVP to lead the team.

G-league is different I guess. I am not so familiar with the rules but what I understand on the process is that you go with the NCAA, D-League, you get drafted and you will enter in the NBA. Gone are those these that they allow players not able to finish college, like in the Time of Kobe and Lebron if IIRC.

correct me if I'm wrong guys, like I said, I am not an expert.
