Nowadays voter fraud is more common in the developed world, when compared to the developing countries. US is the prime example, although others are not far behind. I still don't understand why many of the developing countries don't use electronic voting machines (EVM). They can't be manipulated, and the results can be known in quick time. But for some unknown reason, a number of politicians are against using the EVMs. And in the US they have further complicated the system by adding in mail-in ballots and absentee votes, which are highly susceptible to fraud.

It's still better in the US than in Russia where they don't even try to hide the corruption like that famous one time when they were adding votes live on TV and the total was over 100% because so many fake votes for Putin were made.

They even filmed members of the voting commissions fill the papers under the table. Last time Putin won there were insiders who told the media that they were being moved from one place to the other by buses so they could vote multiple times and they were getting paid for it.

I've always wondered if the last election where Biden won was fixed or not. I hope this mystery will get uncovered one day. For now I doubt Biden will win again. He's too old.

this reminds me that every 4 or 5 years in my country we have elections and on election day I start to see phenomena that are simply unacceptable, the counting of votes always starts at 6 pm when it is already night, after 1 hour they always cut the electricity for several hours, then they light ceramic candles and the counting of votes continues as if nothing had happened, but the ceramic candle cannot light up so that the whole room is visible, with that every condition to steal, destroy votes is created, after a few hours the electricity returns and they act as normal, when the provisional counting of votes ends, a truck appears and takes the votes

this is the part that even makes me laugh, the truck takes the votes only has the police of my country as an escort, but we all know that the police of my country are corrupt in the service of the government of my country, so they divert votes on the way On the day of the final count, all you see are much larger votes for the ruling party.

I don't know how credible the US elections are, but without a doubt they are better than those in Russia and African countries where there is a lot of corruption and fraud

Not voting is a big epidemic in the USA that needs to be fixed big time, it's just not normal. In my nation we have like 80%+ turnouts, and we have even cracked over 90% once in my life time, that is very important. I mean the person that is elected president will run the entire nation for 4 years, not like USA has dictatorship, even presidents can't do everything they want, hell most things they want, but it's still important.

Obama had 58% and 55% turnout, Trump had 55%, and Biden had 63%, highest ever in recent memory. That should tell you all the problems. Only the 63% of eligible voters ended up voting and considering under 18 people as well, we are talking about only a small portion, maybe less than half of the nation deciding the president.

I am not sure that this will end up being the final ticket. It’s so early anyway, I don’t see why anyone would want to tie their money up in this unless they think odds will drastically change out of your favor in the coming years. A likely outcome of this will be the bet being invalidated and refunded, which letting your money sit in someone else’s hands for so long might not be a great idea.

Well, right now we know 2 things. One of them is the fact that a sitting president rarely ever not goes for a second term, it would be very very unlikely. However, it was already a question mark about Biden's health, and Kamala could become president meanwhile, the first term nearing its first half, and we still have 2 more years, and anything could happen. So either we will get Biden/Kamala there, or maybe Biden will not be good enough to race, and I am pretty sure Kamala would probably go for the Presidency with another VP, some old white dude to get some votes from the belt I guess.

Secondly, Republicans have only 2 people they are nominating, Trump who is wrong in the mind for sure, there is no doubt that the dude is not normal in the head, but people somehow like him because of that. Yes yes, I know it makes no sense because why would you elect a weird narcissistic insane crazy dude to the presidency but they did it before, and they are so sick and tired of the typical politician that they wanted to try something new. The other candidate is Desantis, nobody else has even a slight chance, it's either one or the other. Can't say who will be picked but those are the only two options, them getting together with one President and the other VP would create chaos for Democrats for sure.

So we have just 3 presidential candidates realistically if you ask me, either Biden or Trump or Desantis, and it's 2 years away, being this certain 2 years early is good for betting for sure.

I am not denying the fact that Donald Trump has got massive support behind him. And at this point, he is the most popular Republican politician in the United States. But the problem is that he is a very polarizing figure and there is a net loss of votes to the GOP because of him. His support base is mostly in the deep red states, where the outcome is already clear. Trump doesn't have the ability to win swing states such as Georgia, Pennsylvania and New Hampshire. Only someone like Ron Desantis has that ability. Let DeSantis be the GOP nominee for 2024. In order to pacify Trump, they can have Ivanka as the VP candidate.

Well.. have to agree here. For the GOP, there are two scenarios:

1. Allow Trump to become the POTUS candidate in 2024: In that case, the Democrat nominee will sweep the elections with more than 400 electoral votes.
2. Sideline Trump and make either DeSantis or Rubio as the 2024 nominee: Trump will run as an independent, hurting the GOP in deep-red states.

In both cases, the GOP nominee would lose. Unless they can come up with a solution for this, I don't think that GOP has a very good chance to win the elections in 2024. Getting Trump disqualified to run would be a great idea BTW.

It's nice that it's possible to gamble on the elections again. But from last time I can remember that it was quite a hassle, because there were problems with the voting round and the final result was not yet final. Back then you could still bet on the result while the ballot papers were already being counted? I can't remember the name of the bookmaker. And I also don't think this is the only list they will have maybe someone who is a real fit for President will gonna announce his candidacy next year because these people are no good for the Americans, I mean, how in the world they will gonna entrust their country to these people? But then, Trump is not in a very good state either. He is already 76 years old and by 2028 (when the next term ends) he will be 82 years old. The US needs someone young apart from these two oldies.

It is really upsetting and annoying to see people still doubting Biden winning legally or not. It has been checked more than any other election in the history and no fraud was found.

If you are still unsure, then you should 100% stop trusting the election and stop voting because this is not just democrats vs republicans anymore, it's you vs the system and the system includes so many republicans and democrats together, if there was a fraud that could ever be uncovered, it would have been because many republicans had the chance and given the possibility and yet they couldn't neither. It's a proof that the system works, and yet some are still unsure about it. In that case, you do not trust either party, and should not vote at all.

Trump is still a major opposition voice in the US, perhaps the most powerful voice among the Republicans. He has so many supporters and will give Biden another headache, particularly because Biden was not strict enough with some foreign policies and actions, which makes him lose supporters daily. And as much as I don't like Trump due to his insincerity, authoritarian tendency, racist pretence and many more, I still believe that the USA might need someone like him at a time that Russia and China are playing politics that could be dangerous to the whole world.

To be fair there is this weird feeling about 2024 that we never had before. I mean if it is clear to people who would be the nominee then its fine, they could wager on whoever they want, but there is a slight possibility that we may not even see to 2024 and that's a rare situation for the recent American politics.

Sure back in the day that was a more common thing but in the world of current politics, we don't pick elderly that may pass away before their term is over, and Biden does look like he is not capable of running a nation with the mind he has. Democrats need to figure out some star player that can takeover the election as soon as something happens to Biden, IF something happens to Biden.

Trumps main incentive to run again which I didnt expect him to do originally is to get some kind of immunity as a candidate.   Im not personally thinking he should be prosecuted, its far too close to political suppression of opposition to be safe and its certainly not necessary its more nonsense government wasting time and money as they like to do.
   I dont see him as an actual contender even as he is a strong voice, of course he is but with some votes you must win its coming from people way outside the party the swing voters and just normal people who have zero interest in all the talking points they just want some kind of alteration in direction of the country.  He already served and no longer represents that narrative, I really dont think he will or should win the candidacy but I could be wrong of course.

Regan in the 1980's showed some problems with his speech I think, it might be true (during term served even mid 1980's) he had some effects from this kind of a restriction or decline in the brain that occurs over time.  To what extent it prevents good leadership is highly contestable, its possible for people of all ages to suffer loss in their lung capacity, heart efficiency all kinds of losses occur over a life time and so too the brain is not going to remain unaffected through the years completely.   I really dont think this is enough to discount Biden as reasonable in his job, disagree all you like with his conclusions but overall I dont rate this kind of criticism as valid its just something that captures peoples imaginations as it could be he has no clue at all, it'd make for a funny as hell sketch but as a fully justified view I dont think so.

The GOP still can't agree on a candidate to replace Pelosi. They have become a laughing stock now. Yesterday I was watching the proceedings live on CNN and it was very chaotic. Despite a Republican majority, Kevin McCarthy of the GOP didn't got enough votes to become speaker of the House, even after 6 rounds of voting. He received just 201 votes during the speaker election, compared to 212 for Hakeem Jeffries and 20 for the GOP rebel Byron Donalds. Whatever credibility GOP had after their electoral defeat in 2022 midterms is now gone.

It is very rare for the president currently in power to not even run for a re-election, now his biggest impediments are his age and his health, but if he wants to run it would be difficult for the democratic party to not support him, and if someone else got the nomination while Biden made a run for it then this could show division to the voters.

And if the republicans nominate Trump you can be sure he will know how to exploit that division, as in part this is what allowed him to win on 2016 as he got Sanders supporters after he lost the nomination to Clinton.
