1181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia Ranked Second As Bitcoin Miners on: April 08, 2023, 11:02:43 AM
It doesn’t surprise me, Russia probably see the US beginning to make things slightly difficult for miners & investors regarding bitcoin. Russia probably thinks if the US becomes hostile to bitcoin adoption they can seize an advantage by becoming bitcoin friendly. We all know that China banned bitcoin but I’ve been reading lately that Hong Kong has started to think about State Owned exchanges so maybe as part of a NWO Russia & China are planning to become crypto friendly in an attempt to become the world super powers.

Yeah, they will have to find a way as well to stay afloat in their war with Ukraine, so they might as well take advantage of their cheap and renewal energy to mine bitcoin.

And who knows, this could be state sponsored in the future, meaning they could be as friendly to bitcoin as anyone has been specially bitcoin mining since China has ban it already. So win win for them if they become the next bitcoin mining hub.
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: April 07, 2023, 11:55:59 AM

But here it will be in Madison Square Garden if I'm not mistaken so Teo has the advantage because he has a lot of fans here.

So we will see the big mouth Teo here if he can back up his trash talking as he said that he will tear up Taylor more than what Jack did.

Teofimo is a colorful fighter so he will continue to thrash-talk Taylor it's his way ever since, he is so confident I hope not too confident because he is facing a well-skilled fighter the crowd will just boost Teofimo's morale because we all know thrash talkers thrive on this if they are being cheered they will continue to thrash talks and in the actual fight they can be reckless because fighters like him, like to entertain the crowd, that could sometimes backfire like what happen in the Kambosos fight, I just hope he learned his lesson from the Kambosos fight.

He will have to performed at his best, just like when he upset Lomachenko back then. However, in his last fight against Sandor Martin, it was just a split decision win for him and he could have lost the fight.

So he can talk smuck as much as he want, but definitely Josh Taylor is not going to back down to the challenge because he is the champion. And better be Lopez back his trash talking, this is 140 lbs division, one of the top premier weight class. So it takes more than to trash talk your opponents here.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 07, 2023, 11:06:22 AM
@goldkingcoiner, agree with you mate that stats could help some users here to have some understanding or idea about this relatively unknown opponent of Casimero, I'll just update the OP if I have the time as I'm busy at the moment IRL,

I don't think that there will be an upset here because such thing could derail the plan of Casimero's promoter of him having a big fight in the near future, this will be an easy fight for him.

This is a cherry pick for fight for Casimero, so he will have to win this fight, otherwise the potential fight for Inoue or anyone in the division will not happen and it will life difficult for Casimero because he will have to start from scratch again.

What I think even if he win on this match he can't still successfully acquire the attention of Inoue's promoter to deal with up with him and negotiate about their fight. If they want to do it well they set it up before but many notice that they are avoiding and choose to fight another opponent.

Maybe he need to get more win on big fights so that they cannot escape if they challenge Inoue and fans commentary about they want to make this fight to happen.

It depends on the status of Casimero because Inoue's fight with Fulton is a championship fight. If Inoue wins, he will become a champion, and therefore Casimero needs to be either a top contender or a champion as well in order for Inoue to agree to unify their belts.

However, it's still too early to talk about that. What Casimero has to do is to continue fighting and continue winning. Eventually, he will get to that stage, assuming that Inoue is not avoiding him.

Just baby steps for Casimero starting in this fight and I think he will be good in this division. Inoue on the other hand has his hands full with Fulton and maybe the other champion in this division.

They might take a different path, but if Inoue win against Fulton then all roads lead to him. So Casimero will have to win every fight moving forward starting here. And he should fight big name after this one so that he will be recognized by the governing body as a potential mandatory fighter for Inoue in the future. So still there is a big chance for him to face Inoue as this is the fight that he wanted since bantamweight.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 07, 2023, 10:29:07 AM
4 losses in a row and Jazz is officially out of the play-in picture now. Mavericks have 2 games left, against Bulls and Spurs. Bulls guaranteed their 10th place so it's very possible for Mavs to win both games. Thunder have only one game left and they'll play with Grizzlies. Normally it'd be a though game but we probably see big rotation before play-off so Thunder may win this one. Last place for play-in will be determined in last games literally. I'm okay with both teams, either Thunder or Mavs for play-in but I don't think they'll get a spot in play-off.

It's sad that the Jazz is out for good. But it was a good season for them in spite of being branded as a rebuilding team. The team has too many future draft picks in the coming years. Lauri Markkanen showed star potential and hopefully, the management will try to start making the team competitive otherwise he is wasting his stay in Utah.

They were even in the top of the standings, Lauri Markkanen even make it to his first All Star game. And Clarkson has a break out season as well if not for his injuries the Jazz could be in the playoffs right now. So yeah, there is a big potential for this team next season.

I want to see Dallas enter the play-ins rather than OKC. The Pelicans without Zion and the Timberwolves are inconsistent teams and are still beatable especially since Dallas has more playoff runs than these teams. I am not sure what happens if in case of a tie. Is head-to-head the first option? OKC is 2-1 against the Mavs so they are most likely to qualify then.

We will have to see, Dallas and OKC are still fighting it out, both are really looking for a playoff or play-in spot.

Of course, Dallas could be a good team in the playoff because of Luka and Kyrie. We will never forget how he manhandled Phoenix Suns last season. With him and Booker trash talking but Luka having the last laugh.
1185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 07, 2023, 10:07:21 AM
On the morning of April 7, Twitter officially removed the Doge logo and replaced it with the old logo for this social network, and the price of the Doge also plummeted shortly after. We can see Elon's manipulation of this coin.

Yeah, and as what we have been preaching, Doge is a meme coin and have been manipulated by Elon Musk for his own good. Not the price goes down hard and I would say that it has affected the market as well as almost all coins are down.

For me, the life of Dogecoin depends a lot on Elon, Elon can continue to support and may also look for another meme to replace Doge. So investing in it will be very risky, but if you accept those risks, you can invest. There are many better options than Doge as well as higher profitability than Doge, I think you should consider carefully before investing.

And that is the thing, we can't rely on Doge itself, I mean there's no used case for this project, it just existed as a meme coin in the last 5 years or so. It's that Elon learn how to manipulate everyone to buy this coin. Others might be intelligent and smart enough to make money out of it. But for sure, majority has been losing money here, in my opinion.
1186  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will pump soon? Lower interest rates in june. on: April 06, 2023, 09:45:55 PM
If we look at the development of the Bitcoin price since the beginning of this year, it is clear that there are more positive trends than small corrections that have occurred, so it is only natural that many believe that the Bitcoin price will continue to move in a positive direction this June, even though it will be slow.
personally I believe that until now it is still categorized as the right time to buy Bitcoin either for the long or short term.
It's still April, not June. Indeed, it is very natural for everyone to think at this time because in general it is still very good and it is not too late to buy Bitcoin if you still have unused funds for other things. But for now Bitcoin still needs more people to push the price increase gradually every month so that Bitcoin continues to be eyed by many people this year so that it can give birth to even better moments and trends in the next year.

It's a prediction, that's why he is looking for the June pump and whatnot. But if we look at the price right now, it seems that we are having a hard time to break $29k at least. And we are trading sideways for at least 2 weeks now. It could be a good sign that we might have slowed down a bit, but the control is with the bulls.

As for investing, yeah, if you have capital to begin with, then invest right now. We are looking for like $100k in the next bull run.

So with the current price, if will still give us a good returns in 2024-2025.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 06, 2023, 09:34:28 PM
I have seen several casinos with promotions where they do "drops" to thousands of people or they give bonuses to several gamblers, but how transparent is this process?

Do you think casinos are really doing these drops to 1000s of people or are they skimming from the top.... ? They might say a drop is for 2500 people, but they might only drop for 500 people and nobody will know. Yes, some of those 500 people will report that they have received the drop and it will look legit.... but is it really?

How can the gamblers verify that the actual amount of people are receiving the drop or the bonus, if there are no list to verify it? Let's discuss this.. I am curious if other people also thought about this...  Tongue

We will never know, just like when others accused casinos of cheating them and that the casino's are not fair. Not unless they will have to show us the name of the gamblers that have received the drop and they themselves confirmed it. But as gamblers in crypto, we wanted to remain as private and anonymous so I doubt that casinos will give us the names or the gamblers confirming that they've got the drop.

So for me there's no way to confirmed it.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 06, 2023, 09:21:59 PM
No mate, I believe that @cryptomaniac_xxx is referring to the Lakers next match-up which is against the Phoenix Suns. The season hasn't ended yet for the Los Angeles Lakers because they still have 2 games left to play which I also got some doubts if they can upset them especially now that Durant is there and Booker is still explosive, after that, they will be facing the Utah Jazz again.
Durant's stats together with Phoenix Suns is good and that's why they can't just sweep them but with Jazz, it's possible that they're going to win against them.
Anyway, I believe in Lakers and that's why it's possible that they'll have some great ending on this season after being on the drowning status that we've all witnessed.
Well, I think Lakers has still breathing room and that they can clinch that play-in spot but when it comes to the playoffs I think the chance is slim with how they perform, they really are not performing well except for LBJ and AD. Yeah it's still early to predict it but with Jazz as an opponent I think that's a difficult task.

Only AD is performing very well for me, he even become player of the week because he average 30++ points. LBJ is different when he comes back, he take is slow in the first two quarters, maybe he wants to involved the team. Austin Reaves is also pushing himself every game.

But they still have the chance, they just need to be very consistent in the remaining games to get at least in the play-in.

However, it will be tough if they go against a team like Nuggets in the first round. Denver is complete now and they don't know someone to guard Jokic.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do new online casinos struggle? on: April 06, 2023, 11:21:26 AM
Which one do you think is better and has more healthy growth for a new online casino?

Is it better for a new casino to take their time very slow with their project for the time being to be able to raise some money first and only attract users with banners and small advertisements?

Or a new casino project should go all in on doing advertisements starting from their launch date with everything they've got?

Why do new online casinos struggle? A Few I knew are not doing fine and they had to put an end to their advertising campaigns.

I think if you are starting in any kind of business, you need to full blast it out in the beginning. Meaning you need to promote, advertised it so that customers will come to you doorstep. You don't need to take it slow as this is a very cut throat business and the only best survived.

As you have seen when there are a lot of casinos that open in 2020 and up to know they are in the business and still have their signature campaign here. Thee are even as old as like Stake who still promote as well. So it's a ongoing campaign for them to keep them afloat and on top of the competition.
1190  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit Casino loosing value due to Licensing Ambiguity amongst users on: April 03, 2023, 04:19:05 AM
They do have a signature campaign on the forum.

[CFNP] Rollbit.com | Signature Campaign | Full Members+ ~ Earn up to $80/Week!

Will it affect this? It would make sense for them to pause or end the campaign if they have these problems.

It's not for us to decide though, but in my opinion, they can continue with their campaign, and I don't think that they are going to close just because of the licensing issue that they are facing and for sure they are going to address it instead of just closing their signature campaign.

They have their reputation already and if I'm not mistaken, they are one of those casinos born out of the pandemic.

So it will be pity if they would just close their operations or worst their signature campaign in this community. As for the coins, again, we have seen a lot of crypto based token that didn't do well in the past but I think their operation is still running.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: April 03, 2023, 03:41:13 AM
^^ And it's hard to see them facing, I think if Donaire will win this fight, he will have to defend it within the own organization as he is just a newly crown champion and just like the rest of boxers that will win in the other major governing belts. There will be no cross over fight or unification just yet.

For sure though, The Donaire's will have this in mind, that at one time, Moloney who agreed by principle during the WBC convention to fight him for the belt suddenly change his mind and then go on to move to WBO.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 03, 2023, 03:26:33 AM
How about the game between the Bucks and the Sixers, two MVP in the game, but in the end it was all Giannis as he lead the Bucks to a huge victory against Joel Embiid and his Sixers.

They started hot in the 1st quarter, and if I'm not mistaken they like 7 out of 7 in the field to take a double digit lead. And after that, the Bucks didn't get up any, although they've close the gap in the 3td quarter until they hit back to back threes and then Giannis scoring in the last 2 minutes as he had a mismatch. Brook Lopez too was able to hold his ground against Joel. And with this win, they've solidify their top spot in the East.
1193  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and the fall of Twitter on: April 02, 2023, 09:03:17 PM
IMO, Elon Musk is a talented businessman and has made significant contributions to the industry and society. However, his frequent use of Twitter to make controversial news and his decision to acquire Twitter could devalue the shares of his other companies. This can make investors and the public worried about the future of those companies.

Elon Musk's failure to properly appreciate the impact of his actions and words on the public and the market. Disregard for public sentiment can lead to a loss of investor and customer confidence, damaging the reputation and value of his companies.

since the controversial purchase of Twitter by Elon Musk, the value of Twitter has slowly declined in the hands of Elon Musk. I agree with you that everyone has their own expertise, Elun Musk has been very successful with Tesla and SpaceX car technology. but doing business in cyberspace, I think it is much different from what he did at his previous company.
Also added to the musk elun policies on Twitter that make Twitter users may leave it

It decline because he had made a lot of change in the company. He had lay off a lot of its employees, and even those in the top position are not even spared ny Elon when he goes full revamp.

And investors doesn't want to see thing happening not just on Twitter or any company for that matter, because it gave them bad connotation. And with that the price plummet as a reflection of that. Anyhow, I think Elon accomplished what he wanted in the beginning, have a social platform that he can used in his favor.
1194  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can do 30k$ this month? on: April 02, 2023, 08:45:31 PM
The month of March is just going to end tomorrow, and the Bitcoin price is trading at $28,600. Like I said, I am not certain about the BTC price by tomorrow, which may still not be able to hit $30k tomorrow as we are just counting hours now.

We have passed March and maybe some of the targets of some people are not fully achieved, by predicting Bitcoin Price will reach $ 30k by the end of March, and this may fail but at least last March gave us a lot of price changes even though we are still experiencing corrections in yesterday's small bull run, ending the numbers close to this target we think has been very good, because at least we had a good bullish graph in the past march.

And it just shows that some of us predicted the right now at $28k, or just missed it because we wanted round numbers in $30k. But the best thing is that we are still hanging on with that price and it's good for now.

Now that April has started we will know what the next move is going to be and so is the correction that will have to go on going to the bullshit chart, now we see the price of Bitcoin in the market is in the $28k area, probably most people would expect a higher price good for future events, and this is Bitcoin which itself has its own cycle of rising and correcting movements.

We've corrected to $26k already and again, we went as high as $28,500 but it seems buyers are exhausted and needed to take a rest. And so far this April, its's been sideways pattern still. Nevertheless we are already in some kind of bullish phase so we might as well continue with it this April and hopefully we can break that $30k barrier.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Heavyweight Boxing 1st April 2023: Joshua vs Franklin on: April 02, 2023, 08:31:14 PM
I watched the fight on my iPhone on a crappy stream. I expected more from Joshua to be honest, I know he won, he was the better fighter in most rounds but I expected a more explosive performance. He’s going to have to be much, much better if he’s even thinking about fighting Fury or even trying to get a 3rd Usyk fight.

And we can say that even if Joshua win this fight, it was a lousy performance on his side. As you have said, we expect more from him, not just taking a win, but it should be like a statement, he even admitted that he should have knockout Franklin in the post fight interview and he didn't.

Otto Wallin put in perfectly in this tweet,

Quote
Otto Wallin
@OttoWallin
Joshua is not the same guy anymore. His head is gone and the stuff after the fight shows it even more. He’s feeling too much pressure

1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: April 02, 2023, 08:17:20 PM

Upset still possible but I can be more biased here since byt stats and by capabilities Shakur do have a huge advantage.

Not unless if Yoshino will get that lucky opening and throw a KO punch that will bring Shakur in the floor.

The chances of Stevenson getting knocked out are very low because we know how careful of a boxer he is. According to his stats, he is not a KO artist and yet remains undefeated. This means that he does not take unnecessary risks by going toe to toe and instead relies on his advantage, which is his quickness. Therefore, it is possible for him to get KOed, but the chances are close to none.
Well, looking at their individual stats, obviously Yoshino has bigger number of knockout wins than Stevenson, but I don’t think he will be easily knockout by Yoshino since we know that he’s more a fighter and warrior when it comes to the ring. But we can’t underestimate too the strength of Yoshino as he would never reach this far if he’s not good enough. So let’s just hope we’ll see a good fight then, and only then we can tell who’s going to level up and bound to fight a heavier opponent.

And the skills and the opponents that Yoshino face, it's all Japanese, not saying that they are not good or tough, but Stevenson has face tougher opponents and won all of them, although his knockout percentage is not that high. But as we all know, it's better to take a win in either case, UD or knockout is still a W. For sure the camp of Stevenson has seen his record and will not underestimate the strength of the Japanese. On the contrary, with Shakur's talent, he might play with Yoshino's strength and power and beat him on his own game. So it's going to be a good fight, but in the end, Stevenson will be too much and win this fight.
1197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 02, 2023, 01:04:57 PM
Heat vs Mavs tonight and oh , this looks very interesting because both team needs the W and I don't see either of them backing up. With this , I do think we will have a tight battle with maybe low score because I do see both defenses putting up the work.

Heat are having 3 straight loses , while Mavs have a 4 lose streak , a win and another lose in their last 6 games.

Surprisingly or not , bookies do see Mavs as favors with odds being @1.78+.  Smiley

And Bookies are wrong and most likely those who love to bet on the underdog had their money for the winner, Miami Heat. Just good to see the despite being snub by the NBA and not getting into the All Star this year or even in 1st or 2nd selection, Jimmy Butler proves everyone wrong when he had a monster game against the Dallas team which might not make it to this year because of their poor performance in the last stretch of the season.

While Lakers, Pelicans and Timberwolves and OKC are going to fight it out till the last game to see who will be in the play-off or who will be in the play-in.

So still a lot of good games ahead of us.
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: What makes Binance stay strong despite all FUD ? on: April 01, 2023, 09:29:55 PM
There is nothing short of FUDs in the crypto market especially for big names such as Binance.  Recently there are so many accusations about Binance and even the U.S Senator has inquired. According to Binance's response https://www.binance.com/en/blog/ecosystem/binance-shares-its-recent-response-to-us-senators-inquiry-1968152125579137703 , there are some public misconceptions about Binance and the team had already clarified. When I read the news, the first thing came to my mind was that BNB price was doomed to decrease dramatically. However, Binance US's weekly trading volume reached 41% of Coinbase's (global) trading volume last week, which is an ATH. (Source:https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1641728341962096641). At the same time, BNB price is still around $320, showing very little volatility. What makes Binance so strong faced with so many unfavorable conditions ? Please share your opinions.

It's not the first time though that Binance has been in the hot seat and has been pursued by US. Even CZ's own country, China in it's early days have been going after him and his exchange but nothing has put him down.

The thing with CZ is that he is hands on with his project and probably in total control of it and so he is going to face this head on against the US government and willing to cooperate. And you can see that he is responding in his official twitter account. With that, investors see a strong leader, unlike SBF who we haven't heard so much until the collapse and exposing of FTX.
1199  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much return are we expecting next bull run? on: April 01, 2023, 09:03:53 PM
Good start as today price is up more than 5% and could go back from $26k to $28k, still about 2 more days to see price can reach $30k, and if tomorrow price can reach $29k then i believe march will be closed in the range of $ 30k, and of course it will be an important for stating April so that it can skyrocket again like what happened in 2021.

I think the next bull run will be the best one and beyond our imaginations. The reason is that we are now seriously seeing the drawbacks of the current financial system and the world needs to adopt bitcoin and accept it as a world global currency.
We have seen some crazy predictions recently like this one Can Bitcoin reach $1 million in 90 days? Expert analyzes Balaji’s forecast. Although you can argue that these predictions never come true but things are unfolding in such ways that we can expect bitcoin reach to $1million, not in 90 days but it is very much possible by the end of 2024/25.

Honestly, I really want that to happen because if bitcoin can hit $1 million next bull season, I will retire early and enjoy my life. But I think we should be more realistic, that's no longer an optimism but an illusion. The banking system is in serious trouble, but it's only a small fraction of the millions of banks in the world, so the banking crisis won't take a huge hit for bitcoin. The banking system will be repaired and will still be the choice of most people, bitcoin is unlikely to replace the traditional financial system in the near future.

Yes, that will be a good price for everyone, but lets not kid ourselves, $1 million is out of the picture of the next bull run, and we will have to still wait and not retire early in our lives and enjoy our profits. Although the banking system is in trouble right now, it might not be enough to push for a 7 digit price next bull run. Conservative estimates will be $100k as the entry level and as high as $150k. I think that's good enough price for everyone. Specially if we are still saving as much as we can, whether dollar cost average (DCA), or buy when we have that money in bulk, one time.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: April 01, 2023, 08:47:34 PM
The last time I see Inoue having a good fight was the time he first encountered Nonito Donaire.
I hope Fulton will also able to give Inoue a tough fight to the point that we can't even predict and speculate who will win until the final bell rangs.

I think Fulton will still have the confident because this is his division and he has fought a lot of good fighters too. Specially against Brandon Figueroa who is one good volume puncher with decent power as well. And I thought that in some moments in that fight, he will go down from the barrage of punches from Figueroa, but he withstand it and won the fight. So most likely his chin will be tested by Inoue obviously but perhaps Fulton thinks that it wont' break as he has experience fighting punchers in this division and he hasn't been knockdown. But it will be tough fight for him as he will travel to Japan, Inoue, home court.
